Claudius knew that he was new to the leadership role (the real one, not only temporary), so he hadn’t realized the gravity of their situation. It wasn’t until his friend Luna pointed out to him that the Agriculture tier was empty and that their fields had gone unsowed. Although Claudius had lived in the tribe his entire life, they had never planted huge fields of crops—not like the Great Tribe. He had always assumed that they planted their three sisters, and only those three, because they were so few in number. But it turned out that Dawali had forgotten about two important rank tiers when he assumed the post. The Agricultural and Teaching rank tiers had never existed, so it wasn’t until recently that the tribe could have even considered planting the crops. And so, Luna had pointed out that they didn’t need anyone in the ranks to plant the crops: amongst the tribesmembers, they had the know-how to do it themselves if they all worked together.

So, Claudius and Ulilohi had agreed that they should work together as a tribe to plant their crops. They were late in doing so, but they hoped that it might encourage the continuation of the tradition.

Ulilohi and Claudius stood together outside of the Town Hall to announce their project. Luna was only steps away since they had consulted her and asked her to be present and lead the project. It was her idea, after all, and it would only feel right asking her to spearhead the initiative.

Claudius sent out the call summoning the members to the Great Hall, asking them to come together to better the tribe.

Once they had arrived, he began to speak: “Guh-guh-gree-eetings, Aniwa-a-ayans,” he began nervously. “We-e-e ha-ave… news… for you… Lu-una has… sugges-t-e-e-ed… we… so-o-ow and pla-a-ant seeds… to celebra-a-ate… our ne-ew… Agricultural-i-i-st… rank… b-u-u-ut since… we have no… Agriculturalists… we nee-eed your… help. We nee-ee-eed… food… for our animals… whose… ranked have swelled…” He paused, taking a deep breath, and then continued: “W-e-e-e will… work together… with any-y-y-one… who wishes to… volunteer… and be-e-e-etter… this… tribe. W-e-e-e… must… tuh-till… and puh-puh-plou-ough… the fields… gather… our… seeds, and then… plant them… and… we nee-eed… your help… suh-so, anyone… willing… wuh-we… must work together… to comple-e-e-ete… this project.” Claudius grinned and then looked out at those who gathered, anxiety clawing at his heart. He just hoped the members liked their plan.
Wahey!
Atisia (marten) is visible :3

It was a strange leap of change. Only moons ago she would have stood her utterly alone, and now there was the weight of Atisia on her shoulder, and Claudius standing next to her to aid her in things. It was a relief as well as an odd change, for now she found that she could no longer simply do as she wanted. It would take time to get used to the occasional disdainful silence from Atisia as well, but for the most part the marten Guide was warming up to her. She smiled as she listened to Claudius' introduction to what would be the primary goal of the tribe's activities in the following weeks. Having had too little experience with organizing a tribe, Ulilohi had simply forgotten about this "trivial" part of their life. It was embarrassing really, but luckily Luna had brought the need to their attention. It was not too late -- planting season could still be saved!

The councilwoman listened obediently as Claudius introduced the project, and she clearly showed her support. It was perhaps difficult not to seem like a giant next to him, but she had taken a step backward so as not to steal his spotlight. Once he was finished speaking, Ulilohi waited a moment before taking a step forward, as if signalizing that she was taking the word. She only had closing remarks to make, and happy news as well. "And I believe we also have some freshly slaughtered sheep for our enjoyment. Think of it as a motivator! Our crops have brought you this meal today, and will continue to bring them so long as we are able to care for the crops and our animals." The councilwoman gestured towards Io, whom she believed was bringing the freshly slaughtered sheep in. It was most definitely a reminder to their pack members of what good the crops were bringing to the tribe. As carnivores, it oculd be difficult to see the crops' use at first glance, but they were absolutely vital to keeping a good-size backup of meat resources; their livestock.
Standing beside the two council members, the masked woman lowered her gaze to her fingers, which tangled and untangled rhythmically in front of her. Her audience with AniWaya's authorities played in her mind repeatedly. The problem of the crops being unattended had bugged her since some time ago, but she was glad that she had been of help to solve said problem.

One by one, all the AniWayans arrived to the meeting. It hit her hard that now there were less wolves to the pack. Unfamiliar faces everywhere. That had been one of the reasons that moved her to doing that suggestion. Making everybody coexist in a determined work space and finally working as a whole.

When everybody was present, Claudius introduced everybody to the project that the three had planned for the following month. When he said her name, the woman smiled shyly to the crew, as if to emphasize her participation in those machinations. Then Ulilohi's turn to speak came, and more news were delivered to them, this time about the feast preceding the sowing. Everybody would need any nourishment before the job that waited for them, and everything to keep their main source of food healthy. In her eyes, that was a way to return the favor to the animal. Food and shelter in exchange of their life.

The chieftess made a gesture towards another member, Io, who was in charge of bringing the food. The masked woman followed the movement with her eyes, but then refocused her attention on the rest of the tribe. She wanted to say something, but doubted that her voice would match Ulilohi's. Besides, everything that had to be said was said already, so she contented herself by looking at the AniWayans and their reactions to the announcement.

wojciech is visible, also very short XD

Io and Simcha had been working late into the night to prepare two sheep worth of meat. But, it had been worth it. Large strips of meat lay spread out on huge wooden plates, prepared in different ways. Smoked, salted, seasoned you name it Io and Simcha had prepared it. It all lay on the well sized cart Jan had left behind when he brought the supplies for the chicken coop and dovecote. He'd admitted it had been traded in for the journey and they had no use for it any more. So, of course, Io had accepted the large, wooden item on behalf of Aniwaya. As for the coop, it was coming along well, the main bulk of it was finished and all that was needed was to sand off the edges and add a it of saw dust for the chickens. Granted she'd already added the pair she'd gotten from Cercatori D'Arte.

Stepping forward, Io spoke, 'Yes. This is indeed our reward for our cultivating skills and I should think th bounty shall only be more wondrous next time'. She had no reason to say much aside from that. It was not her place to nor was there any need to.

Aranck was excited that Ulilohi had agreed with whomever to bring agriculture to his new home. It would definitely make it more like the Great Tribe, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Oh, he knew that many AniWayans had bad feelings toward the Great Tribe because of the idiot Maska. But he and the councilwoman hopefully made them start to realize that not everyone was like the traitor Maska.

He did wonder if Maska would ever be caught again. He needed to face trial for the things he had done here. He also couldn’t help but wonder if Ulilohi would tell the AniWayans what had happened to Maska and was going to happen the Amara. He was glad that Dawali would serve time in the fields. He liked the man as well as the family.

He arrived at the Great Hall and listened to what everyone said. So it was Luna's idea? He gave her gentle grin and nodded his approval. Did she get the idea from her talk with him? He didn’t know but couldn’t help but wonder what made her think of it. He finally spoke after the leaders were done. "I know a bit about agriculture from the Great Tribe and would be willing to help with any part of it." He wasn’t sure if his body was up to doing much of the physical work but he could try.

Frodo was in the Great Hall with the rest of them. It seemed like the pack was finally pulling together, and putting their minds to something. This made him very happy. After all, he'd had second thoughts recently about where he wanted to be. But, as long as there was work to be done, he'd be honoured to help. He hadn't been there when it had been told that Claudius was to be the new sub-leader, but Gemma had told him as such, and he was pleased for the male. He didn't really know much about him other than the fact he must have been Tayui's son. He liked Tayui, so he decided he would like Claudius.

He felt bad that Claudious took so long to say something, but what he was trying to say was clear enough. Actually, he sort of felt glad that he wasn't the only one with a voice that wasn't like everyone else's. This made him smile, especially as he was already in a good mood seeing as Agriculture was something he'd enjoy doing. Feeding others was his job after all, and as livestock had an equal chance to eat too, this was almost the same thing. It was probably take a longer time; as it took days for crops to grow. But in the end, it would be worth it. Count me in! he exclaimed, albeit slightly quieter than usual. He didn't want to seem to loud, and disrespectful, in the presence of his uppers. No such word as can't, as I always say. No such word as babagoozle, neither. and so that was that. He'd volunteered to help, and help he would, to the best of his abilities. The sound of sheep made his mouth water; he hadn't eaten any farming meat for a long while. It was always slightly less gamey than meat found in the wild.

Claudius is Pavlov's dog!
Claudius turned when Ulilohi stepped forward. He noticed that she had retreated when he’d been speaking, so she slid off to the side when she moved to speak. When she gestured at Io, Claudius shifted his stance and turned in time to see the woman emerge, the scent of blood thick on her fur. He was anticipating a tasty meal, since sheep were a delicious treat. They were tough to find, since they didn’t fare too well in these parts—not without help, that is. They had a very strong taste that he really enjoyed, so he was glad Io had taken it upon herself to tend to them. He really was quite impressed with her skill, since animal care confounded him.

Of course, then Io promised even more good things to come and Claudius felt like he was on the verge of drooling just thinking of it.

After Io spoke, he noticed the older wolf –Aranck, he thought his name was – spoke up. Claudius was glad to have the older wolf’s support. Having someone who knew a bit about farming would be a huge help to them, since Claudius’ knowledge was mostly restricted to the actual plants, their properties, and how to tend to them. He hoped that Aranck would have some suggestions for them along the road, so he nodded encouragingly to the wolf.

“Guh-great,” he replied. “Wuh-we’ll… need the huh-help,” he explained.

When Frodo piped up, Claudius found his grin widening. Frodo seemed just as excited as Aranck to help. He laughed in reply and then responded quickly.

“Suh-super. Wuh-with all of yuh-your help, we’ll guh-get this done. We may cuh-call on some… other packs… for aid… since they d-di-i-id come by… rece-e-e-ently… to tr-a-a-a-de… perha-a-a-ps… we ca-a-a-n dee-ee-puh-en the… bonds… with… our… neighbours. Puh-please invite… any fuh-friends… you think… could luh-lend a hend.”
Atisia (marten) is visible :3

Atisia smiled strangely at her before he jumped down from off her shoulder, obviously with some aid from his charge by asking her to bend closer to the ground. He was hard to interpret for her, and it was rare that he left. She suspected he had a point with it, but just then it was not clear to her. Turning her focus back to Claudius, who was now speaking again, she shifted her gaze hungrily between Io's boon and her co-leader, smiling. There was not really much to say once he finished speaking, and the councilwoman stared at the present individuals for a moment. It quickly became clear that the announcement had shifted into feeding time on its own, and some pack members approached Io, hesitantly at first but soon without fear as the awkwardness of moving from one phase to another diminished. It wasn't long until she, too, moved toward the scent of the sheep, but not before stepping closer to the pale male and putting a large hand on his shoulder briefly, to gain his attention. She spoke in a low voice, clearly with a message for him, and not for the ones present. "I think we can save this sowing season after all. They seem eager enough to pitch in, and I am certain the other packs will help."
