The Walls are Closing In.

(Please forgive the lack of table. Haven't gotten around to getting one made as of yet! )

It would soon be time for the wandering brute to finally turn westward. Months of mainly aimless wandering had led him here to the East coast, where the unusual smell of seawater was always in the background. Itheral didn't much care for it; smelt vaguely like puke, he thought. Soon enough, he'd reach the sea, and finally begin traveling the other way. That was, of course, assuming he didn't find a place to call home here, but he wasn't too optimistic. Every pack he'd run into and attempted to join always came up with some excuse to kick him out. That pack back in Quebec chased him off over a simple misunderstanding; he was just sampling the pack food cache in the middle of the night to make sure it hadn't gone bad. So what if he had to eat nearly half to make sure of it? Or what about that pack back near what would have been Kingston? How was he supposed to know that the female wolf whom he complimented on her....'ample posterior' had been the alpha female, and her mate within earshot? Some people just couldn't take a compliment.

All of Itheral's traveling had led him to this peninsula. Not keen on a repeat of the latest incident back on the mainland (how was he supposed to know that jokes about various female parts might be deemed offensive by the alpha female? Prudes), he had been sticking clear of the numerous pack territories he'd wandered close to. It wasn't until he'd gotten to a sizable mountain range that he realized, perhaps, he should have tried his luck at one of the pack lands behind him. He didn't much like mountains....too much work trudging up them and all that. Still, Itheral was curious...why where their any big trees on it? There must of been a fire at some point, he guessed. Well, he was already here, he reasoned, so might as well keep going.

As it turned out, it seemed only the Northern face of the mountain was missing mature trees. After a few days travel, vegetation that he would of normally expected soon made an appearance, though there still was a small hint of ash hovering in the background. He unknowingly passed what was known as the Stellarton mines, too busy trying to follow a rabbit he'd been chasing for dinner (he ended up catching it), and within the week, he paused, near the top of the mountain, looking down on two larger peaks not far in the distance. More importantly, the winds brought the faint smell of marked territory. He must of been close to another pack's lands. Trudging down the sloped side of the peak he was traversing, the plump lupine figured that he might as well try and see about joining this pack. Surely their wouldn't be another pack before he hit the Eastern-most side of the coast and had to turn back around, so might as well try his luck. Whats the worst that could happen?

How could he be expected, though, to put his best paw forward on an empty stomach? Surely Itheral, with his incredible hunting ability, could find something to eat before the day ended. Gazing up into the sky, he figured it was...hmm...an hour or two after noon? Might be a bit tricky getting the jump on a rabbit with the sun out and shining like it was. Perhaps a quick bout of scavanging would be useful. Swinging around the northern side of what he figured was the norther pack borders, Itheral trudged long the foliage, sniffing about. Unknowingly just above the large cave system called the Crystal Caverns, Itheral halted, nose twitching. What was that smell? Lifting his snout up and taking sharp, deep inhalations, Itheral began to follow what smelt like a meal. A bit hard to tell exactly what said meal was...had a hint of rabbit, deer, but mostly unusual scents he wasn't familiar with, which peaked his curiosity. Maybe some wonderfully tasty rabbit-deer-elf-squirrel hybrid? The wolf began a slow search, trying to find the source of the smell, which was easier said then done. For nearly an hour, Itheral walked along, sniffing and pausing, sniffing and pausing, trying to find where the hell this smell was coming from. The closer he got, the more...odd the smell got. It seemed almost...salty.

Finally, Itheral seemed to find the source...or, at least where it was coming from. Partially hidden by a fallen tree, a narrow crevice lead down into the darkness. Generally, any wolf in their right mind would hesitate with such a snug tunnel leading into the unknown. Itheral's gut, however, seemed to be doing most of his thinking at this junction, and after taking a deep breath and sucking in his paunch, he crammed himself into the fissure, mind on the prize. The smell grew stronger now, and it became clear what it was; a coyote (or perhaps fox) made this a little food store, though the faint scent of said coyote seemed to hint at it's prolonged absence. That worked for him. It meant that, despite some slightly smelly meats, he wouldn't have to fight anyone off for it.

Grunting and wheezing, Itheral cursed softly under his breath. Why did they have to made these tunnels so damn small? His sides chaffed, and a few times, he though he'd gotten stuck. A few heaves, though, and he became unstuck, continuing on his way down the tunnel. He was almost there, he could tell. The smell was so strong now, he could almost taste it. It was almost completely dark, what little light coming into the cave mostly being blocked out by the fat wolf crammed in the tunnel. He could see ahead of himself, though, so there was a little bit of light coming from up ahead somewhere. Finally, with a yelp, Itheral popped into a slightly larger cavern. A little more light slipped into the snug room, but it was enough to make Itheral's mouth water at the sight he could see before him now. A sizable pile of rodents, mostly rabbits and hares, all waiting just for him. Without a second though, the glutton leaped upon them, and began to stuff his face.

Now, generally, it wouldn't take a genius to put two and two together: small tunnel into food store + stuffing ones face inside said foodstore = uh oh. None of this occurred to Itheral, who simply saw it as some sort of gift for being such a cool dude. Things, however, were about to get tricky for the poor fellow. Half an hour passed, and the fatter-then-usual wolf was laying on his side, a large, stupid grin on his face. He hadn't gorged himself like that in a long, long while. There was still a good portion of the stockpile left too, so he could come back later. For now, though, he best think about applying to that pack. With a loud grunt, he got himself up off the floor, and headed back to the way he came out.

As the walls dug into his gut, it soon dawned on Itheral that he may have forgotten one tiny little detail. Huffing, he dragged his hindpaws on the cavern floor, his forepaws trying to drag himself forward. The tunnel just dug tighter on his bloated gut, though. Panic started to well up in the wolf's mind. Wheezing and panting, the wolf struggled, squeezed, and grunted, trying in vain to get himself back into the tunnel. All his efforts were for not, though; he was just too fat to fir back through the only tunnel out. Whimpering pathetically, he tried to back out into the cavern with the meats...but couldn't. The wolf's blood ran cold, eyes widening in terror as he realized what had happened.

He was stuck.

Yelping and whining, Itheral began clawing in desperation at the tunnel interior, trying to push back, then forward, hindpaws planted on either side of the wall, trying to heave himself out. It was utterly no use, though. He was utterly wedged. It seemed the entire weight of the mountain was now closing in on him, walls squeezing against the wedged wolf. In desperation, he howled out, hoping someone, anyone nearby could hear him. Between howls, he shouted desperately, eyes watering in fear.

"HELP! PLEASE, ANYBODY! HELP!!!"

UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
Should I bite my tongue until blood soaks my shirt?

Never fall apart, so tell me why this hurts so much

My hands are at your throat and I think I hate you
Word Count :: 782Hey there :3

Idly he struck out an over-sized shadow paw, knocking the rock tumbling down the slight slope of to his left, scarred face and blue eyes turning with little focus to stare in the direction it fell. One may think that lazing around upon the uneven terrain was both foolish and potential suicidal, but these mountains that he walked were so familiar, so natural to him that he moved along them with complete ease. Foreigners and those ignorant and unenlightened may view the cave dwelling pack as strange, but within the rocky terrain the Angelo felt sage and within the howling caverns in the earth's embrace he knew no harm would come to him or those he was duty bound to serve and protect. Although travelling throughout the lands wasn't as easy and at times a strain upon ones body, the protection it provided them was vital and in the storm coloured males honest opinion the uneven grounds weren't all that bad, just took some getting used to.

Progressing forward with no real set destination aside from following along the borders, the grey males pace began to slow, maw wide open as he panted more and more in an attempt to cool himself off; with each step cursing his overly thick, dark coloured coat. Eventually he grew too lethargic and tired to continue and sough out a place to simply lie down and sun himself, promptly throwing himself onto the ground when he located such a place he breathed out a sigh of relief, resting his head lightly upon his paws and closing his eyes, listening to the soft sound of wings as Beyaz landed within the shade some place nearby; the albino crow was much like his master, detesting doing anything at the slightest sign of relatively warm weather, more accustomed to rain and the chill of winter then the bright skies and heat of spring and summer.

Lifting his head from the ground he flopped onto his side, simply relishing in the warmth of the sun, pink tongue hanging loosely from his mouth. Rarely did he bother to take to his lupus form these days aside from when he was required to hunt and yet, it was only a year or so ago it had been his preferred form. To an outsider it may have seemed as if the grey pelted samurai was being lazy, but the male had a well thought out wordy excuse for if he was questioned as to why he wasn't currently doing one of the many duties he was expected to do given his rank.

Eventually the heat began to grow too unbearable for him to continue to sun himself and so reluctantly he rose to four paws, sluggishly making his way over to more shaded areas and resuming his walk along the borders. It was as he was sulking along them that one of the crows appeared to him, cawing a string about some sort of trespasser. “Alas, the world is full of idiots” he muttered under his breath, titling his head up to the bird and murmuring a string of instructions in low speech for the crow to guide him to the scene.

Trailing beneath the crow the Angelo was soon lead to a small tunnel entrance outside of the pack lands, of which he heard someone, rather faintly as if from a distance away, calling out for help within. Pausing he cocked his head, an amused, almost smug grin sitting upon his lips. Judging from the scents and the supposed direction of which the tunnel appeared to be heading in, the storm coloured male had a rough idea of where they would lead to; or more accurately, a list of possibilities he would take his sweet time checking out, no rush to save a fool having issues down a tunnel. Although it irked him that there was a missed tunnel that lead into pack lands, at least with the idiots help he could now have it blocked off.

Making his way back into pack lands he stopped off within his chambers, shifting and pulling on a pair of jeans and warming himself with his usual excessive variety of blades. Then he began the task of poking around the chambers, tunnels and rooms in an attempt to locate where exactly on the underside the stranger was located. Eventually the male made his way to where the other was located, almost missing him until he saw the back end of a rather foolish canine stuck in a tunnel. A slow, deep chuckle passed his lips at the scene before he decided to speak up, “Well, today surely isn't your day now is it, Anata orokana ikimono”.

It was the end of the line, Itheral thought, nearly in tears as he huffed, wheezed, and grunted in a vain attempt to get himself back up the tunnel. Try as he might, he just couldn't reverse; the stone was narrowed right after his ribcage, and any attempt to reverse caught it, threatening to break his ribs if he reversed out. His only hope, he figured, was cramming himself but the way he came. His forepaws were chaffed and raw, near the point of bleeding, but he continued trying to haul his fatass into the tunnel, to no avail. All he accomplished was getting himself even more tightly wedged in.

Itheral finally went limp, wheezing and panting. It was really a comical sight: the wolf enormous backside, stuck up in the air slightly, his gut squished and bunching up over the little hole he was wedged in, making it look almost like he was some bizarre statue attached to the wall. As the reality of the situation slowly crept upon the wedged wolf, he laid his head upon his forepaws, whimpering softly.

"I'm going to trapped here forever..." he muttered to himself, hoping that it rained at some point, so he'd at least have something to drink. But wait...what if there was a really 'big' storm, and the tunnel started to fill with water with him trapped in it? He'd be slowly covered in water, until...

The wolf-cork began to panic again, and planted his hind paws on the wall, trying to pull himself out. Tail flapped about, rump shaking and wiggling....a rather unflattering view, given that a male by the name of Alaki was unknowingly behind him. With the tunnel totally plugged, Itheral hadn't heard Alaki's snide remark, and as far as he knew, was still all alone down here. "Come on, come on!" Itheral houted, the panic clearly in his voice, a muffled cry that could be heard by his observer at the rear, "I don't wanna die! Not like this!"

Standing there the Angelo ran his eyes over the scene, taking in the scent of food and confirming that the male's scent was that of a stranger, not a new member of Anathema. It wasn't everyday he happened across such a form of trespassing and as such the storm coloured male wasn't truly all that sure what to make of things, considering the fool had gotten himself so royally wedge in the tunnel that had lead in and all, being left for eventual discovery or a slow painful death. If perhaps he hadn't stumbled across the male as such he would have been more inclined to remove the male's head from the rest of him and yet, the male was stuck in such a comical way that rendered the Angelo incapable of taking the situation seriously.

Sighing his eyes rolled when the stranger began to squirm and wriggle in what could only be described as a feeble attempt; was it not common sense that one needed to relax in such situations? Moving around and attempting to force once self out when stuck just made things worse. Padding over the the male he walked around the visible back end, contemplating how exactly to go about pulling the idiot out; seconds passed and the storm coloured male concluded he didn't care whether he injured the male or not, for one who trespassed deserved some punishment. Regardless the key point was to free the other so that he could question him before kindly sending him to hell, unless the brainless git actually had a worthy excuse for his crime.

Placing a hand on either side of the male's hips he gave an experimental tug, cautious as to where he stood encase his assistance caught the other off guard. Hopefully the other male caught on that someone was trying to help him and would help himself in getting out of the tunnel.

There were somethings Itheral had been able to live down. The time he'd slept-walked around his original pack's territory as a pup, and ended up trying to sleep against the wrong female wolf's belly...he was only a puppy, though, so it was never considered anything more then a cute thing pups do. Harder to live down was the time he'd tried to hit on a rather attractive wolfess he'd run into, only to find out she was actually a rather effeminate male. An alpha male, in fact. Of a pack that were lurking nearby, watching his every move. He was fortunate that the vast majority of the pack was too busy laughing hysterically to give chase, leaving Itheral just the rightly-irate alpha male to outrun.

The shrill, high-pitched squeal he gave out upon the feeling of those large paws on his hips, though, would be very, very hard to live down. It filled the cavern behind him as Itheral's legs flailed in a vain attempted to fight off the attacker trying to drag him off to hell. His pathetic attempts to kick out, though, only caused his sides to get even more tightly squeezed, and not a single kick landed. All the while, the normally cocky wolf cried out like a little puppy, certain that whatever it was trying to pull him back was about to eat/butcher/disembowel him in some horrific fashion

"OHGODLETGOLEMMEGOLEAVEMEALONEOHGODLETGO-" the wedged wolf screamed, flailing about. Ample backside swayed and wiggled rather comically, tail flapping about like mad. It wasn't until a moment after the tenth shrill yip that Itheral suddenly passed out. Whether from fright or having used up all the oxygen in his immediate surrounding from screaming like an idiot was up for debate. Oddly enough, as soon as he lost consciousness, his body went slack, and actually budged backwards a bit. The fat brute was still snugly wedged, but with his fat form relaxed, he stood a chance at being freed. Plus, he wasn't screaming his head off, which would be nicer for anyone within earshot.

The grey body in his hands began to move and so the Angelo darted back a few steps to keep himself out of range, watching with morbid curiosity and satisfaction as the stranger flailed around trying to free himself from the earth's clutches. It surprised the samurai that there was such a brainless dog out there that would actually bother to use the thin tunnels, considering the risks within them normally out weighed the benefits of them. The howling caverns on the other hand where he and his pack resided were strongly structured, safe and capable of easily supporting the mass of members that moved within them; even their escape routes appeared to be larger then tunnel this male had tried to use.

Sighing the Angelo crossed his arms across his chest, waiting rather impatiently for the other to give up his hopeless struggle and to allow the samurai to free him. Within his mind he began to count the seconds of wasted time while the fool frantically struggled... until suddenly there was silence and the male fell slump within the embrace of the wall. Unravelling his arms the storm coloured male took a tentative step forward, placing a hand on the male and watching his response before once again grasping the end of which was poking out and beginning to pull upon on with little care to the others well being; if he got a few injuries in the process, all the better to teach the moron a lesson about cave safety.

Eventually he managed to ease the wolf out of the tunnel, half placing and half dropping him upon the ground and dismissing him altogether to have a look down the tunnel, letting loose an impressed whistle as he looked into the tunnel, confirming that it was as narrow as he had assumed it was. Stepping away from where the male was left he unsheathed his Katana, taking up a comfortable but relaxed stance he awaited for the other to wait, so that he could begin question the unlucky one.

As the wedged wolf was yanked roughly back the way he'd come, the stone tunnel dug and scraped at his plump chest, just barely escaping a broken rib. Thankfully, the male behind Itheral was quite strong, and within a few long moments, the rotund canine popped free, suffering only a few scrapes and bruises. Still out cold, he didn't feel the painful thud as he was unceremoniously dropped to the tunnel floor, and lay there on his side, breathing softly. It was only when he was completely free of the tunnel that the absurdity of Itheral's actions too light: there was NO chance in hell a wolf as gorged as he was could fit back the way he came. It was a wonder he fit down the narrow place at all, let alone that he thought he could fit back up with a full stomach.

Slowly, the fat brute began to come to. Moaning softly, his eyes fluttered opened, slowly focusing on the scene around him. The cavern...the small pile of meats...the bipedal wolf creature holding a sword...wait what? Eyes widened in shock at the sight, having never seen a luperci before. Stumbling to his feet, the wolf reversed, his rump pressing up against the tunnel again, thankfully too wide to actually get wedged in it again. What the hell was this beast before him? In his rather sheltered lifetime, Itheral had yet to ever hear of such a thing. He was scared senseless, though his throbbing head likely had something to do with it too.

"P-please...don't hurt me.... Itheral whimpered pathetically, eyes focusing on that wicked blade. He knew that, if the creature decided to attack, he would be done for. He'd likely not have enough time to face the tunnel, let alone squeeze back into it. Instead, he just stood there, shivering in terror.

Word Count :: 423 Yes... he doesn't like dealing with those he considers stupid xD

Waiting patiently the foreign male eventually came to. The Angelo had given some thought as to how he expected the male to respond when he woke up, whether the stranger would turn into a whimpering mess or attempt to fight his way out. The act of thinking up such scenarios passed time and kept the Angelo from getting too bored, although he was still impatient for the idiot male to wake up so that he may address the matter as quickly as possible.

Slouching a bit, grey-black ears flicked back and he resisted the temptation of sitting down or outright abandoning the trespasser to find something better to do; the first was suicidal and the second was unfitting of someone of his rank who was meant to prevent idiots trespassing... only he couldn't take such a fool seriously after finding the male stuck in a wall back end dangling freely, more over, he had concluded before even speaking to the foreigner that it would be a painful thing dealing with such an idiot. Still, these were his lands and it was an outright show of disrespect to him and the white queen so like it or not, the male would be facing the consequences of his transgression, judged by the storm coloured samurai himself.

Eventually the male came to and his reaction was interesting to watch. A malicious grin slowly spread it's way to the Angelo's lips, making a small show of white-yellow teeth whilst he was at it. “You trespass onto mine and the white queens lands and ask to leave unscratched? God you are a helpless idiot... I have never seen someone as outright dumb as you are; and that's saying something, trust me. Really, you should be more aware of your body mass before attempting going through narrow tunnels” he sighed dramatically, titling the blade a fraction to add to his act. “So i'm gonna make this real quick and simple, you have, lets say... a very small amount of time to either provide me with a legit reason as to why you are within my lands or to convince me to, as you so well put it, 'not hurt you'. Otherwise i'm afraid i'll have to remove your head from your shoulders, not something I particularly wanted to spend my day doing but, you know how it is. Idiot trespassers that need to be taught a lesson and all that” he shrugged his shoulders a fraction, blue eyes never leaving the strange males form, nor did he leave his stance.

As his eyes glanced up and down the beast in front of him slowly, Itheral slowly took in the words being spoken. His head nodded slowly, maw agape, as the creature explained the rather serious situation to him. Whatever it was, he could understand what he was saying, though it seemed rather...impatient with him. Itheral couldn't blame him, really, given how he was apparently trespassing on the lands of whatever pack the beast was a part of. Gulping nervously, the fat, whimpering sod trembled in place, waiting for a moment to speak. Whatever he said next, it would have to be clear, concise, and to the point, lest he'd be rather horrifically killed at the paws of the monster before him.

Itheral took a long, deep breath, closed his eyes, and after a moment to try and calm down (which didn't work), he began to speak. "W-well....I honestly didn't know this tunnel w-was part of your lands...I mean, I know I was near your lands, but I swear, I was making a habit not to enter it, and I had no idea this little cavern was....well, there was these meats down here, see, and I think the smell may have masked any markings you folks put outside, and that kinda confused me, cause I was really hungry-been looking about for a pack for ages, you know-and I think I might of ate too much and got stuck, and I totally didn't realize this was on your lands, but if you let me go, I swear you'll never see me again, I promise!"

After the enormous sentence, Itheral took a deep breath, almost having passed out yet again, plopping down onto his rump. He had said all he could now, and while he was tempted to start begging for his life again, the fat wolf was at least smart enough to know doing so would likely only irritate the beast even more. So there the black wolf sat, biting his tongue, stifling pathetic whimpers of fear while he waited for judgement.

Lowering his katana a fraction more he allowed for the blades tip to hoover above the ground, almost touching it. With an note worthy bout of patience the Angelo stood there and waited for the dark stranger to make his way through his lousy explanation and go onto his pleads to leave these lands without any retribution; something that he couldn’t allow for, despite how tempting it may be to let the fool go just do he didn't have to continue to deal with him.

“You parents clearly didn't do a good job of showing you the world wolf.” he responded, a cocky smile sat upon his lips as he raised his head a fraction upwards to look down upon the other, not that he particularly needed the additional height to do so. “I cannot believe that it never occurred to you that a tunnel, so clearly close to my pack lands, would lead into said pack lands. As such I can only reach the conclusion that you wish to find yourself an early grave or insult me, the white queen and our pack; and I warn you now, fool, that we do not take well to brainless twats thinking they can come and go from the lands we claimed” the last bit he growled, taking a step forward with his katana in hand, “Nor do we take well to someone sneaking in like a rat and eating our food. You have a debt to pay to my pack, boy. Pray tell how you plan to replay me for the sins you have committed?” he asked, giving the clown a chance to state his worth before the Angelo decided how he wished to deal with the matter.

The hairs along his tall, storm coloured frame rose slightly, adding more bulk to his body. Scarred face was alight with the prospect of potential violence of some kind. Oh the joker would be wise to start convincing him to let him live and serve the pack or things were due to get interesting.

(Hehe, poor Itheral xD )

As the creature accused and questioned the shaking fat wolf, Itheral could only stand there, eyes widening. He was just digging himself a deeper hole now, as the other 'wolf' seemed to be getting fed up with his excuses. Sight kept darting back and forth between the glinting blade he was carrying, and the brutes towering form. It only dawned on the cornered wolf that the food he'd eaten had been a pack cache. Heart sank as he realized that, getting that sinking feeling as he glanced back at that blade.

"T-that was your pack's....o-oh no...I didn't...I...l-look, I don't care what I have to do, but I can pay it all back...t-ten fold!" Itheral stammered, mind suddenly grasping onto the one glimmer of hope in the situation, "I-I'm quite good at catching game...not b-big stuff...not by my self anyways, but rabbits, hares, that sorta thing...I'd hunt as many as I could and give them all to you and your pack, if you'd just not kill me...p-please?"

Just as he spoke those words, an outlandish idea surfaced in his mind, and before he could even stop to consider the consequences, Itheral blurted it out. "H-hell...if this is your pack lands, and you need someone to catch small game for you, I'd be happy to join." He paused, letting what he just asked sink in. His heart skipped a beat, realizing that, not only did he just commit himself to a pack he knew next to nothing about for life if the beast accepted....but he may have shot his previous, completely reasonable offer in the foot. He stood dead still as he awaited the creatures verdict.

There was a misunderstanding of some sought, although the storm coloured male made no attempt to correct the other. Not out of spite or to make a further fool out of the idiot, but because the misunderstanding was just a pointless detaial; the food wasn't a pack supply, but some personal supply of someone of another and therefore the fact the moron ate it wasn't all that big of a deal, considering it was just sitting there and would likely go to waste anyway. Dark ears flicked forward and he listened to the stuttered, clearly nervous response of the trespassing stranger. A sly, satisfied grin spread across his lips as the other said the words he had been looking for, although most would think him crazy the Angelo saw use in someone stupid enough to use such a tunnel; it showed the male had more guts then brains and was resourceful... and his choice to manipulate the other to saying the words had nothing to do with the joy he found in scaring the other, as irritating and annoying as it was to deal with him at the same time.

“You trespass onto my lands, ask to get away without harm after stealing from us and now you want to join my pack? Man have you got something wrong with your head” he closed in on the male and crouched down a few steps before him. “I'll tell you what. I'll let you in, but you'll have to work and I mean it fool. Work and repay me and mine for the crimes committed against us and damn well earn your place in my pack. If you flee, if you slack or if you prove yourself otherwise useless I will kill you for the crimes you committed this day.” behind him his tail swayed slightly, “I'll only warn you this once, so don't let me down boy. Others in my pack are less forgiving of foolish trespassers then I am, but see I think you may be of some use to this pack, so you best not prove me wrong” a toothy grin took place over his smile, the storm male easing his katana into it's sheath.

“So what say you? Wish to take me up on my ever generous offer? Although i'll warn you now, you and I would need to share blood, a small cut on each of our paws to join us via blood and make us family, for everyone in Anathema is family. Criminals, misfits and the like we are, but family nevertheless.”

(The sneaky bastard ;3 I like it)

The wave of relief that spread over Itheral upon hearing the ludicrous offer accepted was short lived. The realization that he'd just signed up for a pack that, supposedly, was full of creatures less friendly then this brute was a large cause for concern; what, exactly, had he just signed up for? Criminals, misfits, and the like? The fat canine didn't like the sounds of that. They'd eat him alive, surely, if they saw him trying to take one of his afternoon naps he loved...perhaps literally. No, this sounded like a deal with a demon; prolonging his life for a bit in order to die later on in some...'misunderstanding' with another pack member. No, he wouldn't have any part in it.

Then he took another look at the blade, as it was moved into its sheath.

"I-I accept....t-thank you for this opportunity. Just tell me where to go, and I'll go. Itheral stuttered, his legs still shaking a bit. He was off the chopping block for now, but what else was in store for him? Now he was part of a pack full of criminals and degenerates, who, from the sounds of it, were bipedal creatures like this monster. "Gods..." he thought to himself, gulping nervously, "...what am I getting myself into?"

Welcome to Anathema!

Welcome to the pack! There are a few things that we’d like you to do before you get posting.
    • First, please review our Pack Procedures page. It has both In-Character and Out-of-Character procedures.
    • Check out our Territories Page for a realistic look at what Anathema’s land claim looks like, both above and below ground.
    • Next, please take a look at our Ranks Page. It has rank descriptions and tells how to “upgrade” in the pack (Become promoted). If you are starting at the Zepar rank, you’ll first need to complete your 20 IC posts. :]
    • Last, please pick a den and PM your choice to a pack leader. It’s perfectly fine for your character to live outside of Howling Caverns, too.
See you on the boards, and feel free to PM or IM any pack leader if you have questions or concerns!

Word Count :: 358 There, we can finish up with my post or you can post again and finish up with yours?

Reaching behind himself he grasped the small dagger that was wedged against his back, under both his jeans and the leather belt wrapped around them. Pulling it free he gently ran the blade over his left palm without taking his eyes off the male, caring little about the cut he did upon himself; it would simply be another scar to the many he already possessed, long since had he bothered caring about physical appearances considering he was nearly mauled to death by a bear and was half-blind. Maybe when he was younger he would of given such things more thought, but the scars were simply memories, marks of events that had taken place in the storm coloured male's life.

As the blade left his palm, blood began to seep from the wound. Reaching out he plucked up one of the male's paws and before he could change his mind swiped the blade over it and pressed his own bloody palm against the others paw for a brief moment, completing the ritual. “There. Welcome to Anathema” he muttered as he stepped back, wiping a bloody palm across his jeans and placing the dagger back into it's sheath. “If you'll follow me i'll take you to where the rest of the pack resides and you can claim a room there if you wish. Or in the village or hotel located not far from here if you prefer. Since you just joined you'll be ranked Zepar, although if you stick around and make yourself useful you can make your way up through our ranks. Aside from me, there are two other leaders here; Naniko and Aeron. Few laws, although for the most part anything goes, although i'll warn you now that there are many crows that keep watch over our borders and lands, they are mine and trained by me, harm or kill one, i'll repay the favour.” he explained as he turned away from the male and briskly began to make his way through the maze of tunnels, making his way over to the howling caverns. “By the way, i'm Alaki. So that leaves to question, who are you fattie?”
