I think Tammi will post first? :3

She bristled, her furs on end. Skye, the Cercatori leader, said this Liam person had terrorized them previously. Was Gemma targeted or was she simply accidentally in the wrong place? It sure didn't seem accidental to Ulilohi: first, the northern pack sought her in AniWaya and threatened her, though verbally. Second, this Anathema member comes trailing after Gemma as she visits family in another pack, far from home and alone, and with her children in tow, and leaves her for dead only after raping her? It was not incidental, that much was certain to her. Still, the warrior councilwoman was uncertain how she should handle it. This pack, she had heard nothing amiable or even reasonable about them. Less than reasonable, said some, without reason entirely said others. Granted, all her sources came from a pack whose leadership already felt slighted by Anathema, but that didn't change the fact that Ulilohi was disheartened and worried for this exchange. She had asked around, but all she could deduce as true information about them was their location. So, she went fuming from the pack of arts, only to fetch Claudius and head north.

There was no knowing what awaited them here, now. Their howls still lingered in the air, as if a solid thing, half riding on the wind and returning to her with every gust, half disappearing into nothingness. She paced, her large body tense and muscles flexing as if expecting to be suddenly put to use. Honestly, she did not know even what to anticipate: a fight? She expected justice, and justice she would have, but would they even care? Gemma had a price on her head as far as this pack was concerned; for all the brown female knew, they could have asked Liam to attack her. The councilwoman had had the audacity to enter their territories, if only barely. It was more of standing on their border than it was actually entering their land, but she was tempted to just stroll inside if no one attended her, and quickly. This pack had threatened the very essence of their tribe, and she was not leaving here until justice was served. Adrenaline and anger was fueling this unyielding female; she could only hope that if she was unable to keep a cool head, Claudius would step out and take over.

The weight of her spear was burning into her back, calling for her to pull it out and keep it ready, but she was not so undiplomatic that she did not understand how unwise it would be. Still, she bobbed from hind paw to hind paw, glancing to Claudius and tensing her back without even realizing. This was not the joyful visit she enjoyed making to other packs.
Ulilohi had been furious for the entire journey. Claudius had, too, but he was upset in another way. He felt betrayed, even if he hadn’t been necessarily betrayed by anyone. He was angry that he had allowed Gemma into the tribe only for her to be hurt. They had driven out the liar and the scum, Matteo, and kept the good: Gemma and her children. But now, as Ulilohi had informed him, a member of her former pack had attacked her. Even if they had come looking for her, once she was out of Anathema, their laws no longer bound her. However, attacking and raping a mother of two children was an unspeakable and heinous act and Claudius wanted the perpetrator dead. He deserved no less. However, since he was in this other pack, it would be difficult to say the least. But Gemma was under their care now and an Anatheman had attacked one of their own. They had declared war.

Once they had arrived, they had shifted into their Optime forms. Since Ulilohi was too large to ride a horse and Claudius too terrified, they’d made the trek in their four-legged forms with their weapons strapped to them. Claudius could only pose a threat when armed and on two legs, so she had shifted upon arriving at the borders.

Ulilohi seemed uneasy. As they waited for someone to answer their call, Claudius reached out to lay a hand on her shoulder, perhaps in comfort, or perhaps to urge her to calm herself. As a former warrior, he did not want to think what would happen if she lost her temper.
<3 Sorry for the wait <33 PPing Alaki for this first post, with permission from Kitty. Naniko's got her son Severus with her, who is her cNPC, and all are shifted. I told Kitty it was good to join, I hope that's right, since you have two leaders here :o Edit: Sorry, I thought I had made it clear on AIM that the answer would be the same either way? And Kitty spoke to you in the leadership forum I thought?? PMing ya. I mean, if either party has to just walk away they can always do that.

She couldn't help but laugh at her son's antics, elbowing Alaki in the side to get him to stop making noise as she tried to stifle her own snorts and giggles. The two had been hiding in the brush for the better part of an hour, waiting for her son and his daughter to finally pass by on their way back to the caves that they called home. She had been subtly suggesting that Severus go and spend some time with Alaki's daughter Aoi for quite some time now, and had told Alaki about it so that he could work on Aoi from the other side. Her shy son was perfect for the Angelo's daughter, in all honesty, though he hadn't discovered that bit yet. She was trying to play matchmaker to them, to put them together and see what came of it. She'd be proud to become a grandmother again...Anathema had quite a few pups running around normally, but more were always welcomed.

The Angelo gave her a push in return, shaking his head at her as she got herself back under control. From the looks of things, there had been a bit of a role reversal...Aoi had picked Severus an entire bouquet of flowers, one of which was tucked behind the gray male's ear. Naniko observed a few other facts, as well; they were holding hands, for one. The thought made her grin, and she opened her mouth to speak as the pair disappeared off into the distance. "I guess our job's done, Alaki...they make quite a pair" She said, brushing a few dead leaves from her pelt.

The two were about to head back toward the cave system themselves when a howl rang through the air. It was unfamiliar, and the grin disappeared from her muzzle as she looked over to her counterpart. "Let's go." She stepped out of the brush just as another figure appeared, her son. "Didn't see you there, Mom. I, uh." He pulled the flowers from his mane inconspicuously, clearing his throat. Naniko motioned for him to follow, choosing not to comment on the flowers. She didn't want to hurt her son's pride at a time like this. The two made their way toward where the howl had originated. Naniko's fingers moved over the various weapons that she carried on her belt. A few daggers and a long axe clinked quietly against one another as she moved, shifting and bumping one another with each step that she made.

She was surprised to see the two canines that waited for her at their border. She'd never laid eyes on either of them before, but the scent that reached her nose reminded her a bit of Frodo Silvertongue, a canine who she'd fought a bear with once in the past. He had seemed like a kind and generous fellow...would these canines be the same? The other canines who had followed appeared alongside her as she slowed her pace. The Angela stopped once they were within speaking range, clearing her throat. "I am Naniko D'Angelo, the Angela of Anathema. I am accompanied by our Angelo and our two grown children. What business do you have here?"

You didn't bring it up, no, but not much can be done now that you've posted it.

She paced for a moment, but stopped and attempted to calm herself as Claudius reached out. Yes. Calm. However, the wait was unbearable, and she only managed to settle somewhat once the scent of approaching strangers grew stronger. It wasn't long until she could hear them, either, and they came into view -- four of them. Her heart sunk, but she made no change in her appearance. As a trained warrior, she was quite aware of how she carried herself and the signals that came with it. Her posture was still not quite as submissive as one could expect from a lone stranger, but then again she was a leader, and this was a message she needed to send. Atisia shifted his position on her shoulder and peered curiously at the canines who had approached them, though he did not whisper any conclusions in her ear. He had spoken very little to her about what he thought of this whole situation.

The pale female spoke, naming a rank whose name did not mean anything to Ulilohi, though the mere fact that the female mentioned it could only mean that it was not without significance. Already impatient, Ulilohi did not wait for Claudius to speak, but swung her hand out gently towards herself and him, introducing them both in one sentence. "We are Ulilohi Ehn and Claudius Aston, leadership of AniWaya. Our business is that of justice." Her deep voice was without threat, although she felt very grave and looked it. Looking to Claudius, she left it to him to explain the situation further.

Word Count :: 391 I want to keep this thread as civil as possible; if it is necessary for Naniko and Alaki to leave rather than argue or fight, they will.

Subject to the Angela's whims that day he had agreed to follow through with her proposed idea, seeing some benefits and possibilities within them; for each of their children contrasted each other greatly, together they would compliment each other and make up for what each party lacked. Hunkered down in the bush awaiting the return of his daughter and the white queens son it became quickly apparent that neither Angelo or Angela could remain still nor take the situation all that seriously for any length of time, bursting out into small fits of laughter here and there; it was rare for the both of them to put aside their other tasks and do something as.. trivial as playing matchmake to their own children, although so far it had proven more then entertaining and a good way to kill time.

Shaking his head at the white Angela's giggles once more he waited for her to gain control of herself before fidgeting about and moving so that he could see the approaching figures better, snorting at the site of his strange child and apparently, the Angela's even stranger son. “That is.. one way of describing things” each word was drawn out, the storm coloured male unsure of what exactly to make of the pair they had apparently just made. Dragging himself up onto two paws he rolled his shoulders and began to follow the Angela's lead back towards the cave when it became apparent that he and the queen had now gotten themselves caught red handed as the call reached out through their lands.

Turning in the direction of where the summons of sorts had come from, he inclined his head for his daughter to follow, placing a hand upon her short hair and ruffling it in a small show of affection before picking up the pace and making his way with the others out to the borders. Where upon the strangers came into view he slowed his pace, drawing up beside the queen and reaching out of sheer habit to the handle of his katana, not in threat or warning but a mannerism of his that was ingrained into him much like the scars that coated his grey form. “I am Alaki and this my daughter Aoi” he added to Naniko's introductions, eyes fixed upon the pair of foreigners with mild curiosity.

Gerenuk the derpanuk is visible. 8D

Claudius was quiet and contemplative as they waited. When the leader arrived, he noticed a visible change in Ulilohi: she stood straighter and pulled her head up to examine the white wolf. Even though Ulilohi was perhaps the tallest wolf he had ever met in his life, she now seemed to stand even taller. He wondered if she intimidated them as much as she did him.

The white wolf did not seem to be too upset by their arrival. She introduced herself as Naniko D'Angelo and Claudius wondered if his mother had ever met her. She named herself as the Angela and then named someone else as their Angelo, which struck Claudius as a bit odd: her rank was almost identical to her own name and the other angel-leader seemed to have her surname as his own rank. He didn't have time to dwell on this, however, because once he saw who the Angelo was, his features darkened slightly. He remembered this wolf and his pregnant sidekick from when they had come to AniWaya looking for Gemma and Matteo.

When Alaki introduced himself, Claudius nodded. As he began to muster up the words to speak, he noticed Gerenuk lingering nearby. Gerenuk took one step forward and perked up his ears. He was waiting.

"Wuh-we a-a-are luh-looking to spuh-he-h-e-e-eak to yuh-you about... one... of yuh-your... members... Hi-his na-a-ame is Liam... Ruh-Rhiannon. Edited my post to reflect that, Marit! Thanks, that had always been a bit unclear to me xD

Justice was something that she knew of well; the Angela had spent the majority of her seven years in some kind of leadership position, having led Twilight Vale and Crimson Dreams before choosing to form Anathema. The laws that she and Alaki had come up with more recently were fairly harsh, considering that many of their members came from bad pasts. The three leaders tried to stay out of the lives of their members for the most part, unless they were causing trouble in the pack with their own family or pack members. Ulilohi's words brought images to her mind of Larkspur and Harlowe, one of her sons. He'd attacked his brother Scorpius and then had gone to attack other, younger pups in the pack before his actions had been discovered. Larkspur had punished him by taking his life, right before her eyes. She had not stopped it despite her instinct to protect her children. He had harmed Scorpius and had attempted to murder Larkspur's children...and had earned that punishment.

The creatures that had come along with them were uncommon, and she looked at them a bit apprehensively as they began to speak. Alaki introduced himself as he joined her with Aoi, and Claudius elaborated on their reason for coming to the Anathema borders that day. She was not all that shocked that one of their members had gotten into trouble...in fact, she was more surprised that they had managed to stay drama-free for so long with the type of canines that dwelled within the Howling Caverns. "We haven't seen Liam in a while, actually. I didn't realize he was getting into that kind of trouble...he has a mate and pups of his own. But he isn't here, in any case...hasn't been for at least a couple of weeks, based on the scents." She wondered what they expected her and Alaki to do about the problem, if the canine in question wasn't even around.

No one will be attacking anyone, not to worry.
Also, as a note, Spirit Guides look no different from normal animals, so Nani wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless it spoke or otherwise behaved unnaturally for an animal! Smile

She waited patiently as Claudius explained, by now completely used to his stutter. It had taken her some time to get used to, but she could almost listen past it now, and had no problems picking up the words. He phrased it well, and she nodded in agreement, looking to the others for their reaction. Her neck bristled as the pale female delivered the news: he was not here. "That is... unfortunate. I suppose he wants to avoid your wrath, as well as ours, then." She paused for a moment. "By AniWayan justice, he deserves what he did towards our member. She very nearly died -- death was his intent -- however her puppies were there as well, left for dead with their mother. It was luck that Cercatori d'Arte found them. Our puppies are our most precious members and crimes against them are punished much more severely. In short: if he is spotted, he dies, and I was hoping you would join us in this cause." That would quickly be the end of this Liam person, though Ulilohi suspected he would not be so foolish as to come near her tribe. She was firm when she spoke, quite comfortable now in her rank of authority compared to just moons ago. She was not threatening, however, nor was she trying to be rude. Ocean eyes shifted from the female to the male; so far those were the only ones that appeared with authority. Her spear was still strapped to her back and she was not itching so badly now that something was at least happening. Diplomacy was not her forte, but she didn't think it was going so badly just then.

Atisia shifted in his position on her shoulder but did not speak, and she was relieved. He was... less than tactful at times. The marten was paying attention, though, she noticed. His face was expressionless, even bored-looking, but he was not bored, she was sure.

Word Count :: 315 This is apparently the only post i had backed up o.o

Blue eyes flicked from one stranger to the other holding little interest, awaiting to hear their purpose for being upon his and the white queens borders. Perhaps if he'd been apart of another pack, had a more normal upbringing and was surrounded by the innocent and those that claimed themselves to follow a good path, maybe then he would be more concerned, more interested, but all he could conjure up was a mild interest to listen and determine whether their purpose was of his fault, or if it would directly effect him in one way or another.

As the reasons were finally spoken he listened in silence, schooling his expression into it's typical neutral frown; no different from the expression he was previously showing, but at least now he could shield any reactions that came to him from the conversation. The member in question was Liam once more, the member whom another had come to their borders to complain about, delivering a threat before leaving. He'd intended to speak with the male but it had slipped his mind, the male's recent scarceness within the pack doing little to remind the Angelo of the warning he had to deliver.

Muling over the words that were exchanged he couldn't help but think how funny it was, that one after another foreigners seemed to be turning up on their doorstep, demanding justice for those who were not there to be punished or there for them to take justice from. Either way he cared little, it came as no surprise to hear of a members trouble and would no doubt be the last time they had canines threatening them over things he considered as trivial matters. Opting for silence he decided to allow for Naniko to address the matter, to give them some words that would send them off back home believing they had achieved something through their visit.
Claudius laughed bitterly when Naniko said that Liam had a mate. He shook his head, a foul grin twisting across his lips.

"I wuh-would no-ot yuh-use the term 'mate' fuh-for h-h-h-him. He duh-does nuh-not de-e-eserve it," he replied. Claudius never hesitated to pass judgement on others (and worse, on himself), so he saw the depiction of Liam as some kind of father to be hilarious and cruel. Claudius hoped that his children would grow up knowing what a monster their father was, like he had. He had not repeated his father's mistakes.

Claudius was glad to hear Ulilohi speak up. She quickly gained her footing and her words were strong and deliberate. She sounded colder now, as if the pain had tempered into a hard metal. He wished he could brandish what was left of his pain and spring into action to bring justice to Liam. He deserved to be punished far worse than he had hurt Gemma.

"If yuh-you see hi-him, puh-please... n-nuh-noti-f-f-y-y us. We wuh-would app-r-e-c-i-i-i-ate... yuh.. your a-a-assis... tance... in thuh-this act o-o-of di-d-disgu-usting... vuh-violence... this horren-d-d-d-ous... a-a-attack... a-a-against... our own." He did not want to threaten them, but his anger was threatening to surface again. He could not comprehend how he had been allowed to leave. Although they had lost many without a word, had he no scent to track? Claudius was baffled and hoped that the leaders were legitimately unaware of his location and not complicit in his crimes.
