It seemed that the wolf pack that had made their home quite close to his own city had stretched their borders even further; just on the outskirts of his Halifax home, he could smell the scent of various wolves and other canines. He was not familiar with the different packs and their names and cultures - it did not concern him, and it was not in his nature to understand the ways of pack life. He did, however, want to know exactly how far this pack's borders extended.

He slipped past the stench of canines and into the pack's territory - it reminded him of another time, when a pup had escorted him out of her own pack. Her name was Nayru, if he recalled correctly - a small, black and white pup, making sure that none trespassed into the lands. Her territory had resided here once - that pack, the Dahlia pack, where Conor had taken him in and nursed him back to health, was now gone, as was Conor. The thought made him sad - the purple-eyed leader had helped him see the kindness in others. It was not fair for his time to have been up so soon.
