He couldn't believe it. He could not believe it. Alex glanced again into the room where the puppies were being kept. One fight, and suddenly he found himself sharing a room with pups. Who would have guessed that Alaki would have just gone off and screwed a bunch of girls in that last fight? Alex hadn't been doing that. No, he'd been in Anathema, drinking alcohol and flirting with anyone that passed by, taken or not. Alright, so maybe he'd been acting just as badly. At least he had the dignity of not having any kids from it.

He'd spent the past few days sulking, thinking that Alaki wouldn't be paying as much attention to him now that he had kids to worry about. How was he supposed to compete for attention with something that was naturally cute and cuddly? Sighing he moved back to the bed. At least Alaki had had the dignity of looking sheepish when he told him. Small consolation, as Alaki had gone about as if nothing had changed afterwards. Really, he had no idea why he stuck with Alaki. Oh wait, that was right. Sighing Alex shook his head. Why couldn't he love someone less thick headed?

Screwed didn't particularly begin to cover the situation the Angelo now found himself in, even if he tried his up-most best to act as if things were neither a big deal or any different then they had been before his little confession. Telling them had been bad enough and damaged his pride more then he thought it would; truthfully he neither saw what he did as wrong or a betrayal of anyway. They were in the middle of a fight, officially not together in any way aside from sharing a bed more often then not, so it wasn't as if he'd been unfaithful sleeping around during the time. Pups showing up? Problematic and a minor nuisance, since the small, helplessly things were like aliens to him. Terrified him and fascinated him at the same time, but to always be kept away at an arms length, for if he got too close he was sure he'd break or taint them in some way.

Pushing the door open to his cave, the Samurai paused within the guest area, memories flashing before his eyes of he and Alex sprawled out over it, doing little more then goofing around and being unproductive. Grey ears flicked back a fraction, paws feeling heavier then usual as he passed through into his workshop, eyeing the door that led into his and Alex's shared bedroom. Maybe it would be better to leave things longer, allow for the Zephon to grow accustomed to the idea of his mate having a whole host of new kids, that may have been the smarter thing to do, except deep routed insecurities screamed at him to seek out the other, start grovelling and pleading for forgiveness to prevent him from leaving, even if he wasn't all too sorry for what he'd done. “Alexander, you in there?” his voice was firm, if a little hesitant.

His ears pricked up as Alaki's voice reached him, interrupting his sulk. If he was worried about not having enough attention, the fastest way to pick that up was to show him some. His tail beat behind him before Alex remembered that he was supposed to be mad at Alaki. Alex contained something resembling dignity for a few moments before he threw it aside, and headed for the door. Pausing on the other side Alex quickly mussed with his hair, halfway between making it worse and going for a semblance of being tamed.

As ready as he was going to get Alex opened the door, his face kept mostly blank. There was the Angelo, looking slightly apologetic and nervous. It was adorable. Immediately the urge to relentlessly tease Alaki to keep him looking like that set in. Just to draw it out for his own entertainment. It was such an unusual look for the dark male, Alex had to enjoy every moment of it. The Zephon's eyes slid over the rest of Alaki's frame before remembering that he was actually supposed to be upset about the intrusion of pups. Forcing his eyes to meet Alaki's one good one he spoke. Hey. Not on pup duty tonight? Alright, not the brightest move, but he was still a little sour over how much time the pups were going to take up.

Pushing the door further open he indicated for Alaki to step in, tail swaying behind him. Mates or not, he still felt like he had to seduce Alaki over and over again. Mostly for the fun of it, partly because he was sure the instant he relaxed Alaki would lose interest and pick someone more challenging to be with. The zephon wasn't exactly a bundle of ambition, after all. He was happy as a clam sitting right where he was.

Word Count :: 359 Irritable, guilty grumpy Alaki re-post attempt.

The desire to hold himself low, submit and beg for forgiveness flooded the samurai, the need to do anything to re-gain the pale Zephon's favour pushed him to consider actions and behaviours he would never have even allowed himself to contemplate before. With his position he never begged, never pleaded and never felt the need to work or earn another’s good will; he did his job, he was one of the alphas of this pack and such things were beneath him and his rank. Although it seemed that when it came to getting back into Alex's good side, such things were quite as black and white as they had previously been to the storm coloured Samurai.

Still, his pride in himself and his rank was still too strong to allow him to outright grovel for forgiveness; that and he still didn't really see his actions as all that wrong, keeping the pups a secret was perhaps the only thing he considered kinda bad, but the rest he didn't see why Alex could possibly have an issue with. They hadn't been together, had been in the middle of a fight and he slept around a little, no feelings were involved, just simple physical release and a whole lot of booze involved.

Flicking his eyes to the ground he exhaled, pushing his shoulders back he held his head high, holding true to his stubborn nature. “They are asleep, so no, I am not looking after my children” an eyebrow raised in defiance to the male, daring him to make a comment towards his kids. He would not feel bad about their existence, no matter how others may look down upon his indiscretions they were his kids and everyone else could stuff their opinions about them where the sun most certainly did not shine.

Stepping forward he walked through the indicated door, muscled arms bulging a fraction as he crossed them over his chest, “So how long are you planning to stay angry at me for” the question was asked in caution, neither harsh nor gentle; something he wanted to know, if the male intended to forgive him at all that was.

The pale sky blue eyes flicked to the ground, bashful in their movement. Alex knew he could only see out of one, but the pale male was certain that Alaki would avoid looking at him with the blind eye as well. So cute! He was definitely the hottest male out there. Quietly Alex swore to himself that he wouldn't look at another wolf for as long as he lived. Not with this eye candy lying around. Chances of the vow being kept was low, but he still promised it to himself. It was impossible to not do that, seeing the dark male as he was right now.

A smirk threatened to break free as Alaki straightened up, summoning all his pride to stand tall as he faced the zephon. Nice. Perhaps having the pups around wasn't as bad as Alex thought. Not when it brought out this new side to the Angelo. He kept the straight face of wounded innocence as Alaki came in, playing the tough act. Most canines in Anathema would have submitted by now, seeing the dark leader pull the whole 'I am alpha, hear me roar' routine right in their face. Alex wasn't most canines. Alex paused, looking up as if he was considering before leaning in and kissing Alaki right on the lips. About that long.
