Dreams and Fantasies

257 - Late afternoon, in the den.

Sky had been overjoyed to receive not punishment for her hut, but praise and thanks. Zalen had been happy to see it, though his initial reaction had been hesitant. After she'd showed him the in's and out's of the place, explaining the use of each and every inch of it, he'd stamped it with his approval and named it an official medical station for New Dawn. Sky had never, ever been more proud of her work. It had taken her months to fix it up, but finally, her dreams for it had come true.

She spent a lot of time there, still, fixing up the final touches and making sure it was ready for anything at any given time. It was later into the afternoon when she came home to the den to rest, where she'd been up late into the night prior. She felt good, though. Her steps back into the den's shaded light were light and skipping, close to a dance.

She settled into her alcove happily, wrapping her tail around herself and laying her head down with a sigh. Time for some well-deserved sleep. As she let her mind drift, she wondered where her two children were. Lena and Cody had their own things to do now that they were Subords. She couldn't be more proud, but she missed her time with them. Was this a normal part of parenthood? Her babies had become young adults in the blink of an eye. She couldn't believe it. Even Myrddin had grown so much!

OOC: ###

Dutifully Tharin followed behind Saki as she cautiously explored the land before her. Each place was carefully sniffed and investigated before she moved on to the next. Tharin's leg ached with the exertion, but he didn't want to leave her wandering by herself. She was a rather young pup after all. Saki hardly seemed to notice her slow pace anymore, adjusting to the limp her paw gave her. He wasn't sure why it wasn't healing, as it had been a fresh wound when he'd brought her back. Such things were part of life though, and he didn't dwell on it.

The large wolf came to a halt, shock in his expression as he stared at the large strange structure that loomed before him. He could see where it had been tugged together, confusing and intriguing him. Saki had none of the reservations Tharin did, moving to it's entrance to wander in. Sharply Tharin lunged forwards, a jabbing pain running through his leg as he grabbed her and drew her back. It could be dangerous, this unknown thing. Gently he placed her back down, voice gruff. Don't go in there.
