A mother's love
#1
Waking early, Thana left Anna asleep beside Shadow as she slipped out of the den. The sun was just beginning to rise as Thana stretched out before taking off for a quick morning run. She absolutely loved the feeling of running on all fours and couldn’t believe she hadn’t done it more often. Back home there was never any need to be in Lupus form. Everyone was always in Optime from the moment they could shift and Thana and her sister were no different, until they came to this place. Well, Isa she couldn’t be sure about but Thana was growing accustom to being in her feral form.

Returning to the den, Thana laid down a short ways away from the entrance. She figured she could just relax for a little while and then maybe she could get to know some of the other members once they began moving around a bit more.

Sky had been resting on top of the den, in her usual spot, watching the sun rise up into the sky. It was her morning ritual- she'd always raise to meet the sun. Since joining New Dawn, it had become a way of coping with the stress she'd been forced to live with. Her blind daughter, her domestic-looking son and of course, the other half of her family, far away in d'Arte once again. Now, new stress had greived her. Noah's injuries were extensive, worse than he let people to believe. A broken leg was no small matter and if the old male didn't follow instructions and rest it, it would never heal right and he'd be down yet another limb. Worry lined the wolfdog's face as she rested her head on her paws, watching the trees around the den glow with the morning's light.

Movement down below was normal, especially at this time. She watched members come and go from the den, most not even noticing her, others used to her being there and not offering her much more than a breif 'hello' or 'good morning' as they went about their business. She'd be up and moving soon, once the sun was finished rising, but for now, she watched on.

An unfamiliar shape took nest down below and this caught Sky's attention. The tattered lupus stood, shaking the grass from her pelt and making her way down to greet this new face. She rounded the corner and tilted her head curiously, blue eyes examining the black fur and scars with interest. "Good morning." She greeted, friendly enough not to cause alarm. "I've not met you before. Are you new to our pack?"
