They had some sort of an idea, but there was more planning to be done before anything concrete could come of it. Naniko wasn't sure how to do this, how to get the pack re-situated in a different territory. She loved the mansion, except for that one room...but she didn't have to go upstairs. There was more than enough room in the downstairs bedrooms for her and the little ones when they came along. So she knew that they needed to keep the mansion. But she didn't want to do the same thing as Conri, and go South.

What direction, then? She sat down next to the lake, dipping her achy paws in. She needed more help with this...she couldn't do it by herself. Naniko lifted her head, calling for whatever packmembers were inside the lands. They would give her some input, definitely.

Nevah! D: hehe, JK!

The more things progressed the better the girl was feeling about the prospect of the new pack. There was still one thing bugging her though; where the territory would be. The thought of completely leaving where they now lived saddened her. Especially the mansion. It was really too bad that all the bad things had happened there. It was really wonderful having all the pack sleeping in such a close space. Not only that, but in the winter it would provide great cover and protection from the elements. Especially since Naniko's pups would still be very young when the cold weather set in (and she didn't even have a clue how cold it got here).

Ears perked up as the all familiar howl of her leader and best friend permeated the air. Immediately Savina took off at a steady canter towards Rabbit Lake to answer the call. Running through these lands made her not want to leave them even more. She hoped that Naniko would be able to bear staying in at least part of this area. Though if she couldn't the raven wolf would understand.

Bushy tail waved happily in the air as she approached the snowy wolfess. The usual smile Naniko brought to her slender muzzle was in place. "Goodday Nani!" Coming up to her friend's side she licked her on the cheek. She was curious that if in the new pack she would be able to greet the alpha in such a manner. Savina knew that Naniko didn't mind, but still wondered if the structure might be more strict in their new family. "Need help with something?" Obviously she did, or she wouldn't have called. But oh well, never hurt to ask, right?

The young male wandered around Twilight Vale's territory. This was home to him and talk of leaving and creating a new pack with Shadowed Sun scared him. This pack was safe, organized and the members of his pack were family. Would everyone follow them to the new pack? Would Apollo come? His thoughts flashed back to the moment he had saved his brother form an attacking fox. Jazper and Apollo had become the closer of the brohters. The two that got along. Whould that stop after they moved?

He gave a sigh as he wandered forwards, scenting Naniko, maybe she would know the answers. The alpha had always been soft when he made mistakes, or had questions. She had helped raise her brothers after all. His thoughts changed once again, Pilot! His second father. He woudl be in a pack with both his fathers but, was Pilot still as enthusiastic about Jazper being his son no matter who he called 'dad'. Lucifer was his obvious father figure. They looked liek they could be father and son, and they had similar intrests and skills. Pilot on the other hand, well, Jazper had only spoken to him once as a pup. Had things changed?

A howl pierced the silence int he forest, Naniko. He quickened his pace to a run hoping that nothing was wrong. Slowing the a realived stop as he approched his leader and Savina. Nodded his respects he flashed his signature smile. Everyhhing was okay and two of his favourite females where with him now. His mind slowed from it's rapidly changing thoughts to one, "Hey Naniko, Savina," His tail wagged slightly, "What's going on?" His amber gaze shifted to his leader alone, to her stomic. It was growing all the time. How close was she?

It was a little harder to get around, but she was planning on visiting the Sugarwoods later in the day. Right now it was early morning; if this meeting went pretty quickly, she would be able to get out and make it all the way there at a fairly fast pace. She stood up when Savina came nearer, stepping out of the water. It was uncomfortable for her to stand in one spot for a long time, so she gave the fem a lick across the forehead and sat down a little ways away from the water.

"Yes!" She was just beginning to speak when she heard the sound of someone else approaching, and she nodded to Jazper as he settled nearby. "I was looking to get some input, with the pack forming. It was mostly about where we would live...a defined border. I think that we need the mansion...but that it shouldn't be the only option for a place for wolves to live in. I'll probably just stick around the downstairs, even after the pups are born. They shouldn't be around the stairs"

Once Twilight Vale had broken up, Ehno still found himself lingering around what had previously been the pack lands. When the pack had been disbanded, he had been quite surprised. Even now he wasn’t too sure why the pack had suddenly disappeared, but there wasn’t exactly anything he could to about it. But he was used to things quickly changing after spending so much time traveling, never staying in one place for too long. So he simply accepted the change and decided to go with the flow.

Ehno knew he wasn’t the only ex-Twilight Vale member still living there. Despite the sudden end to the pack, the pack members were taking longer to move on. And Ehno knew that he wouldn’t be leaving the area unless Savina had somewhere else in mind to stay. He was determined to stay near his sister now that he had been reunited with her. But he vaguely remembered hearing that Naniko was planning on moving the pack somewhere else, starting over. He was sure he would hear about it if the plans were coming close to fruition.

As soon as the male woke up this morning, he ventured down to the shore where he had first saw his sister after so long. He spent his time there sitting at the shore, looking out to the ocean and wondering just where life would take him next. His meandering thoughts were interrupted by a howl from Naniko. Without question he stood and took off in the direction of the call, hoping that he wouldn’t be too late. He eventually made it to the lake where he saw Naniko, Savina, and a young wolf he wasn’t too familiar with. He came to a halt when he neared the group and sat next to his sister, offering each wolf present a smile in greeting while Naniko finished speaking; he didn’t want to interrupt.

He had only caught the end of her statement, but it sounded like she was talking about the great house. “Sticking with the mansion?” It was more of a statement than a question, but it would help clue him in on the subject they were discussing before he arrived.

As her friend moved and sit down, Savina followed and took a seat next to her. Nani began to speak but before she could get too much out they were joined by Jazper. The Italian girl shot him back a friendly smile. The younger male was turning into a great adult, and was of a great help to the pack. She was very pleased that he would be sticking with them. Her attention settled back on the snowy female while she explained why she had called them. She was glad to hear that Naniko thought they should keep the mansion as well. It had been a fear of her's that, after what had happened in there, the leader would want nothing to do with the house anymore. The jet wolf would not have blamed her if that were the case, but she was very glad that they would be keeping the human structure.

Her heart soared as her brother joined the tail end of the discussion. There hadn't truly been any doubts that Ehno wouldn't stick around with her, but nonetheless every time she saw him she couldn't help but smile. As his chocolate form sat next to her she leaned into him and nudged his shoulder with her own. He might possibly be the only family the dark femme had left, and having him in the pack only made it more like home. Once everything was settled with the new pack the two would have to go on one of their explorations of the surrounding territory.

Thoughts turned back to what it was Naniko had gathered them for; where the rest of the territory should be. Savina furrowed her brow as she tried to think of where would be best around the area. "This might be stating the obvious, since the mansion is so close, but I think we definitely need to keep part of this lake. Having a fresh water source so close is great." Aside from that she wasn't entirely sure what would be best. To be honest she hadn't explored the territory that was immediately next to the old Twilight Vale borders too much.

He listened intently as each wolf spoke, nodding to Ehno as he appeared. Naniko's idea to keep the pups downstairs was really for the best. He vividly remembered Noah and Tal sliding on the books down the stairs much to his dismay. Her large belly assured him that she was soon due and the forming of the new pack must go as smoothly as possible. Himself and Savina would of course be more then willing to assist. Lucifer had disappeared from Jazper's life since the disbanding of Twilight Vale.

With Duece in another pack and his father wandering the old territory Savina was the closest thing to a parent that he had currently, not that he needed one. Here he was 10 months old, helping to re-unit two packs into one. He knew in his heart he would miss Lucifer, he would follow him if i weren't for Naniko's soon to be pups. He had vowed to himself a while ago that he would protect Twilight Vale's members and now that his closest pack members were moving on to create a new home he would follow suit. His duty to himself in this moment was to protect Naniko's future, and the future pack. He was however, very happy that he could keep his room in the mansion. He was going to be decorating in the next few days after he went into town.

At Savina's mention of the lake he nodded enthusiastically, "That goes without saying. Having part of the lake and the mansion in our territory will force us to stay very close to our old territory." He stated factually, "I think we should keep the western part of our territory and head further west for land. There's good hunting land to the west of the territories. It'll be more then suitable to support growing pups, and a large pack if the time arises and we bring in new members." He spoke with confidence in a warm voice. A trademark he had received form his mothers, all of whom spoke softly around him.

She listened to each wolf in turn, stopping to answer Ehno's question first. "Ah, yes. The mansion. I don't know if I'll stay there full time, but it does seem to be the best option for shelter and food. We can keep food cold downstairs in the fall. In the winter we won't have to worry about it...it'll stay cold outside, whatever extra we catch." It was important for there always to be extra food, in case one of them fell ill and was unable to hunt. Or, in Naniko's case, when the pups got older but couldn't hunt yet. Now the pups were a definite thing, a permanent idea, and she was going to make sure that nothing went wrong this time around.

"Those two ideas actually kind of work with each other. We can take the mansion, the land just around it, and then move westward. It won't be the exact same territory, no, but the hills would make good hunting grounds. Sneak attacks and such."

Kansas was also still slightly unsure about why Twilight Vale had broken apart. At first the idea had terrified him - he really loved the pack, despite the things that had happened while he'd been a member. He didn't want to see it go so quickly. But he was sure Naniko didn't plan on giving it up entirely; Shadowed Sun would be joining them. Kansas knew next to nothing about the pack, but whatever was on Naniko's agenda was fine with him.

The boy yawned and stretched all four legs, in the midst of doing so hearing the clear sound of Naniko's beckoning call. Things were finally relatively normal between them, though he didn't know if they would ever be quite the same. Kansas wasn't far from rabbit lake; he had only to cross a short stretch of forest before the lake and the wolves gathered at its shore appeared. Four were there so far - his snowy leader, Lucifer's son Jazper, a male he did not recognize, and Savina. Kansas grinned and slid in next to the raven girl, giving her cheek a nudge as he did so.

He caught the end of Naniko's speech - obviously they'd been discussing this for several minutes, and he was merely late once again. But he now knew what they were leaning toward, as far as territory for the new pack went. Naniko was further along now, probably due soon. Kansas was pretty excited about being able to help out with her puppies once they were born. He looked at Savina just because her eyes seemed to give him a boost, and spoke up. I've been there also... To the west. It is beautiful, really good hunting, too. And I... hope we do keep the mansion.

He knew the Manor brought back bad memories for Naniko, so he was hesitant. It offers us a lot of safety, I think.

So the former Twilight Vale members were comoing together to form another pack. A change in territory didn't bother Ehno at all. In fact, he thought it would be nice to venture westward, to the other side of the lake. Maybe it was just a bit of wanderlust that still stuck with him, bue he thought it would be interesting to see what lay out there. Yet he was also comforted by the fact that they'd still be living in the mansion.

Ehno watched as the white male joined them at the end of Naniko's words, feeling a little relieved that he wasn't the only one to join in the discussion late. He didn't recognize the other late-comer, but it appeared that Savina did, as he took a seat beside her and gave her an affectionate nudge. Ehno glanced at his sister at this, an eyebrow raised and a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Well, well, wasn't this interesting? He'd have to bug her about it later. But for now, his thoughts returned to the topic at hand. "Shifting the lands westward sounds like a fine idea to me. Never been there myself, but it sounds pleasant enough. "

I'm not sure how you guys want to do this. One of the groups could continue their exploring/marking in this thread, and the other could continue in another? Up to you guys.

When he arrived, he realized that many of Twilight Vales’ wolves had gathered around the two females whom Pilot had been seeing much more of lately. He offered a smile as he joined their ranks, and waited until everyone was finished speaking. Though he had arrived late, he understood the gist of what they had been discussing; their new lands and where they would be situated. He nodded at the idea of moving slightly westward. After what had happened in the mansion, Pilot knew Naniko and perhaps even Savina would want a new start away from there. Including it in their new lands, however, would be vital. By shifting slightly west, hopefully the old members of Twilight Vale wouldn’t feel as if everything was entirely new. This was all just to help with creating a hopefully happier start.

"I agree, moving westward would be a great idea. We should include both part of this lake and the mansion. It would be a intelligent move on our part." He moved towards Naniko, patting a shoulder softly in a greeting, though he meant it as more. He knew that Savina would understand as well. It was as if to say, I hope you are doing alright. After all, this was a big change for Naniko. So much had happened to her lately. And then there were the puppies on the way…

"We should divide into groups and begin marking the borders. At least establish a preliminary area. Savina, how about you take Kansas and," he pointed towards her brother, "this fellow here with you. Jazper and Naniko could come with me." He turned to Naniko then, questioning, "Are you alright to do some traveling?" He didn’t want to tire her out too much, but they would need her scent along their borders as well to inform anyone outside of just who was leading their new pack.

I'm thinking we'll just do both in this thread and people can just pay attention to the posts made by those in their group. Then once we're done James suggested we just have a leader howl to "come home". Smile

Savina listened carefully to both Jazper and Naniko's statements and comments. It would be good to have some of the territory different than what Twilight Vale's had been. And if the western areas had good hunting that would be more than helpful. Soon they would have more mouths to feed and be one less adult to help with keeping the food cache up. There were plenty of them to do the hunting, they just needed the game to hunt for.

His scent reached her nose before she even saw him, and her heart leapt. The tip of her bushy ebon tail wagged happily as Kansas joined them and sat next to her. Warmth went down her spine as he nudged her cheek. Ever since their talk she had felt so much closer to him. She kept the necklace he had given her on a small table in her room. The girl worried if she wore it in her non-shifted form she would risk losing the lovely gift. It was then she realized that no one knew about them yet. Immediately her emerald orbs shifted to find her brother. Ehno's reaction was exactly what she expected: raised eyebrow and a slight smile, curiosity and the urge to tease her clear in his amber eyes. At this her ears folded back a bit softly, the giddiness impossible to hide in her expressive eyes.

Then, quite unexpectedly, Pilot showed up. Savina was very happy to see him there and was overjoyed that he would be a part of this new pack. She was so thankful that he would be around to help take care of Nani and the pups. Having a healer around other than Naniko would take loads of pressure of the alphess. The less she had to worry about while the pups were growing the better. It seemed that the matter of where to settle was taken care of, and now they just needed to mark borders. The dark femme was excited that coincidentally Pilot had teamed Kansas and Ehno up with herself. This would be a good opportunity to introduce the two of them. She just hoped her brother wouldn't tease her too much.

"Sounds good! We'll take to the west, so Naniko doesn't have to walk too far." That said the sable wolf elegantly got to her feet. Her tail lovingly brushed against Kansas as she began to walk forward. She couldn't contain her excitement any more and took off at a run. "Come on you two!" Her voice was playful, dancing around in the air as she glided across the ground.

He half glared at the new male as he approched Savina, they seemed close. He watched Ehno's expression and he relaxed. Maybe he should be a little less protective of his friends? He half nodded as the conversation continued. Half leaning, his stature was now relaxed and confident, the way any 10 month old would act. That is, it was until Pilot showed up. He stood striaght watched every move the older male took, taking in every word like it was honey dripping form his adoptive fathers mouth. He had not seen Pilot Haddon in moons and now he would be working with Naniko to run the pack.

The last time Jazper had seen his original adoptive father he had let himself lose control. Needless to say they had only met the once and he had called him son, no matter who he called father. With Lucifer gone he was forced to watch as Pilot took his place in the pack and as his parental figure in the pack. His heart started to race. It was not the time for the dark furred wolf to lash out at the higher ranked male. As Pilot spoke of the groupings he mummbled, "The 'fellows' name is Ehno." In a slightly bitter tone. He did not know why but whenever Lucifer or Duece had a problem it seemed to greatly effect him. First they adopt him and he finds out he had a living adoptive father previous to Lucifer, then they break up and their family is torn to different packs, now his father leaves and his replacment turns out to be Die's old mate. Maybe it was unfair to have this deep disliking for his fathers replacment but the young lad just could not help it. He sighed, atleast he would have the chance to go with Naniko, though he had hoped Savina would be placed with the leader, they seemed very close and she had always been there for her in the past.

short :o wrap this up with our next posts?

She grinned at Kansas as he arrived. She had been wondering if he would be coming to join the group or if he'd gone off after Lucifer, wherever the dark male had gone...but now she didn't have to worry. It was great to have more familiar faces around. As the groups were split up she nodded in agreement, going to stand near Pilot. "Of course; I'll be fine"

She had to, really. She wanted to make sure that every pack knew where Crimson Dreams was, so that they wouldn't cross over into their lands by mistake. They would need all the wolves they could get. Luckily, she didn't catch the remark that Jazper had made, instead looking out toward the border that they would be heading off to mark. They didn't have time for fighting...and if she had heard it she would have reprimanded him.

Sure, whatever works best.

Ehno's smile widened into something much broader as Savina took a glance at him, her ears folding back and something shining in her emerald eyes. Oho, so we was right. There was something going on between the two of them. It warmed him to see his sister so happy in the presence of this other wolf. He would definitely have to talk to the both of them later. Of course there would be a fair bit of teasing for the both of them. It was what brothers did, after all.

But that would all have to come later. Before anything else could be done, another unfamiliar face joined them, speaking quickly and soon giving directions to the assembled group. Well, he sure seemed to know what he was doing. Another leader, perhaps? Ehno had no problem with it thus far, as this male seemed kind and intellegent enough. His eyes darted toward Jazper as he let loose a few bitter words. Ehno was going to say something in response, maybe introduce himself and get this stranger's name in the process, but soon his sister leapt up and eagerly began heading to the western territories. Proper introductions would have to wait, it seemed.

"Haha, someone seems to be quite eager to get going." He looked toward the white wolf apparently known as Kansas. "We better get going, or she'll leave us behind." Ehno then stood and after giving a nod to the group they were parting from, he took off after his sister. "Ehi veloce un, non dimentica di ci il slowpokes qui," he joked in his native tongue.

a bit of PP, lemme know if want changed, etc...

After her limbs had carried her a good distance from the others her pace slowed to allow Ehno and Kansas to catch up. Her brother's teasing caught her ears and she turned to face him, emerald eyes sparkling. "Forse se lei era più veloce che non dovrei preoccuparsi di dimentica." She teased back, tail happily waving in the air. He was still a little ways from her, so she playfully charged towards him, only skidding to a stop at the last moment. The Italian girl then jumped and nipped at one of the chocolate hued male's ears. Every time she was around her brother it brought out the pup in her again.

Only a few seconds later the cream form of Kansas joined them and she walked over to him and touched her nose to his. Savina knew her skin was flushing with red as she turned back to Ehno, luckily her midnight pelt hid it. "Ehno, this is Kansas. Kansas, this is my brother, Ehno." It filled the slender femme's heart with joy that she was able to introduce the two males in her life that she cared for the most. When she had first started to fall for the Sadira boy she had been certain she'd never be able to have him meet her brother. But now that she was able to it was as great a joy as anything.

"Well, I guess we should start our task then!" Walking in front of the two she began to mark out the borders of their new territory. She had to admit, this made her feel a bit self conscious doing this in front of others, especially Kansas. But she did her best to swallow her pride and embarrassment and continue the job at hand.

Kansas was more than surprised to see Pilot show up. The snowy male who had once been Kansas' babysitter was full of confidence and energy, ready to lead this pack alongside Naniko. Kansas was very glad to see him again - he wondered with a bit of anxiety if Pilot recognized him. The two hadn't bonded too much, but Kansas was still fond of the older male. Pilot told them the name of their soon-to-be pack (Kansas knew he was probably one of the few who didn't already know) and gave them instructions for how they would go about marking the territory. The creamy youth was eager to start, his tail wagging and his eyes bright.

It was then that Kansas noticed Savina looking over at the chocolate-furred male, who had a smirk on his face. The two obviously knew one another, and Kansas felt the beginnings of jealousy from somewhere inside. He turned stiffly away, toward Nani - he didn't want to get upset when he didn't know for sure if it was anything to be upset about. Naniko confirmed their plans; Kansas flashed his best friend a smile. We'll see you soon.

Savina beckoned both him and "Ehno," the latter also encouraging Kansas to get a move on. The slyness in the other's eyes seemed genuine and good-natured, which was puzzling. He spoke to Savina in her native tongue, with jocular familiarity. Hadn't the dark girl Kansas so adored told him her family was in Italy? The boy sped up, encouraged by the pair's collectively winning smiles. He licked Savina's muzzle, loving to touch her, appreciative that he was in her group. Even if that seemed rather elementary.

Finally, the truth came out - the smirking lad was her brother. Any lingering doubtfulness immediately left the Sadira's face. He felt terrible about the coldness he may have displayed. Oh...! Ehno. It's great to meet you. I didn't think I'd be able to... Knowing there was probably more teasing in store, Kansas began marking with the other two. He didn't really think twice about it, though he hoped Savina wasn't uncomfortable. He kept to his own area just in case.

He nodded to Naniko, offering a glance in Jazper’s direction. "Alright then, let’s get this done," he said. The sooner they finished marking out their territory, the quicker they could claim this area as Crimson Dreams’. When that was finished, they would only have to assign everyone ranks and get situated. Pilot couldn’t wait for that. He wanted to be able to call somewhere home again. His den situated in the disserted lands of Shadowed Sun couldn’t really be considered home anymore.

He decided to shift, realizing it would be quicker to travel as well as to mark out their area. It only took him a few minutes, and it gave the other two time to catch up and began marking out the area. Once he was on all four legs, Pilot headed towards the brush and went to business. "Hopefully we’ll be able to finish this quickly with two groups," he said to both Naniko and Jazper.

Sighing he was glad Naniko had not catched his remark and Pilot did not mention it. As the older male started to shift Japer followed suit. His large humanized form would not be apropriate if his two leaders were in their smallest form. He placed his napsack on the ground and removed his two knives, belt, and shorts, placing them within his bag. He then continued to pull out some yellow rope , tie an end to his bag, then toss toe rop up over a branch, pull his backpack up into the air and then secure the other end to a lower branch. "There, nice and safe." He smiled. As he started to shift, he only allowed his body to fall to all fours and shrink in size shortly until he was a abnormally large wolf.

He did not know Pilot's experience in fighting but, he was not going to wander around in a weak wolf form with his alpha pregnant. He shuffled from paw to paw feeling naked. He was comfortable in this skin but without his knives on his waist, he did not have his best fighting weapon. He hadn't faught in this form in awhile, not that it mattered thatnks to his genetics. He nodded as he started to follow Pilot, stickly close by naniko. "The sooner we get boarders up, the faster we can keep the area safe." He yipped with a suportive smile to his white leader. He kept at aleart as he started off sniffing the air for danger as he followed Pilot.

sweet, finished, unless Ehno wants to reply again Big Grin

The female was excited about getting everything finished with the pack. They would have to have more meetings in the future, to establish leadership and such...but she could worry about it later. It would be nice to get to stretch her legs a little--she would take a steady pace.

After they had been going at it for a while, she could see forms off in the distance, over one of the hills. The other group? They got a little closer to the other group and she lifted her head, calling to them. They could all head back now.
