aw-com'mon, don't make me RP with myself!

DaVinci had never believed that he would settle down in the lands his mother ruled over. He'd been gone far too long from the packlife to even try and comprehend just what duties and responsiblities were owed to the pack and rulers. The steele hued hybrid hadn't set paw inside the lands since his runin with Jefferson but there had been one hell of a reason for that. DaVinci had taken to camping out in the old luxury cruiser that Apollo had found shipwrecked upon the lands. His wakeup call the week's past hadn't been one that any man would want dropped upon his doorstep, but he'd received it as it had been delieved and now trailing behind him were the next generation of Sadira children from his own seed.

DaVinci wasn't exactly sure how to explain everything to his mother, he felt horrible having to explain everything to the children, but he had no reason to force the youth to reside in an old broken down ship on the edge of the wastelands when he could submit himself to the life of a pack and once more be under his mother's rule. He paused along the edge of the borders and waited for the two trailing behind him to catch up. DaVinci wasn't for certain how he felt exactly about Rhae having arrived with the two young puppies she called Tyron and Skylar. He couldn't deny that the two were his children and he knew his mother would probably say or atleast awknowledge the same.. his heart was torn to bits though as he thought of Ryan.. unsure of what the mysterious woman would think of the baggage the moody hybrid now came with.

When the two had finally reached their father he smiled weakly at the two and tilted his head back to call for the attention of one of the members. He knew shortly that one of the council members would arrive but for the moment he just need to see another face. He wished that it was Ryan coming out to meet him once more.. but he knew there would probably be nothing but disappointment in the woman's eyes at the entourange that crept behind him.

It had been four days since her magical night with Haku. She knew she eld no true claim on him. He belonged to his pack, and she to hers. They owed their loyalty to their packs, not to eachother. And that's how it was. His scent had not washed off her fur. She hoped it wouldn't, though she knew in time it would fade, and she would be left with the memories. The shaman was standing by the ocean, near where she and Haku had met, when the call rang out. For a moment, she didn't recognize the voice, and then she smiled. One of the few hybrids she liked, Da'Vinci was here. Perhaps he was coming to find how his sister had fared. Firefly was gone now, but she'd stayed for a few days.
The pale woman made her way down the coast, approaching Da'Vinci slowly. She could see tow pups with him, and didn't want to frighten them. The thought of pups made her ache. Her on boys were nearing a year. Would be a year in March, actually. They were growing up. She didn't know where Noah was, but Taliesin was here in Phoenix Valley. She paused about ten foot away and smiled. "Hello Da'Vinci. And who are these small ones?" She kneeled down to inspect the two.

DaVinci had expected his mother to be the one to show up at the border and while he waited he watched as Ty and Skylar sat behind him, in this dejected stage as though they'd just been thrown to the side by their mother and left with a complete stranger. Hell, what was he thinking, they had been left with a complete stranger, and the worst kind. Their own father. He would agree with their mother on one aspect, raising the two in the lifestyle she lead was nothing he would ever want a child of his own to have to know. He wouldn't say he was ashamed to know the woman but the rough and tumble life in taverns would never be healthy for their young.

DaVinci tried to smile as Skylar glanced up at him, he tried to speak reassuringly as he kept one ear open for the footfall of his mother. "Hey, don't worry.. this place is nice, your grandmother is the Matriarch and the others who lead with her love children.." He wasn't sure if he really knew any female who didn't get all mistyeyed over puppies but he didn't think that the two knew that. When Skylar nodded shyly and crouched down behind Tyrone, who was glaring up at his father darkly DaVinci sighed and turned back to the red dirt road.

Almost as soon as he'd turned back he saw the snowy pelt of another making her way towards him. DaVinci straightened up, a slight frown on his lips as he recognized Deuce, slightly confused as to where his mother was when her cottage was so close to this side of the packlands... and he knew that Deuce's own resided clear across to the other side. He smiled as she said hello and asked about the two behind him.

He raised his brows up in defeat as he answered truthfully. "Deuce.. I'd like you to meet my children, Tyrone and Skylar.." He doubted that she hadn't already made the connection, Skylar almost being his doubt, and Tyrone looking almost like the spitting image of the Matriarch. He turned and gazed off into the distance as he tried to figure out how to ask the question he needed to.

So her assumption was right. The two pups were his. She knelt down and watched them through soft bi-colored eyes. She loved pups, and these two were no exception, despite ther mixed blood. They were Da'Vinci's children, and Da'Vinci had already proven himself to be trustworthy. The three were welcome.
She leveled a glance at the pup's father. "The mother?" Where was she? Why wasn't she here? Perhaps they were a broken family....much like her own was anymore. But at least Taliesin was here. And he wasn't leaving anytime sooon, she figured. "Firefly healed well after you left." She owed him that much, letting him know how she was the last she'd seen the girl.

DaVinci's eyes stayed on the figures of his two children as Deuce spoke up. His ears flicked back at the mention of their mother as he saw the fire flare in Tyrone's eyes as Skylar just lowered her head to her paws and stared at the ground. He cleared his throat and spoke softly. "Her lifestyle isn't like most here.. and it wouldn't have been easy on them or her attempting to raise them on the port. She stayed with them as long as she could." DaVinci didn't want Deuce to think anything bad of Rhae, she had done the best she could and when that fell through she'd atleast attempted to find their father or the family and home he'd spoken of.. an attempt to give the children a stable life.

When Deuce had explained that Firefly had healed well he sighed softly, "Thank you Deuce.. I know she's still upset with me.. but it was for the best." He noticed as Tyrone glared at him, no clue as to the conversation that the two adults were having as the children seemed to grow restless. He shook his head slightly before his gaze turned back to his newly aquired offspring.

He smiled softly at the children as he explained, "Tyrone, Skylar.. this is Deuce, she rules alongside your grandmother in these lands." He felt foolish explaining everything to them as they just sat there silently but what did he expect. He'd been through a hell of emotions after the stress in his childhood, he just hoped they wouldn't strike out like he'd decided to. His worrysome eyes moved back to Deuce as he gave in and fessed up. "I can't do this alone, and it's not fair to them to be forcedinto being outcasts at this age.." He lowered his eyes as he scowled slightly at his stubborn pride. "We were hoping to join the rest of our family here.."

She listened to his words, nodding occasionally. And then he came to the improtant part. he- and the pups- needed a home. And she, as a leader, would accept them. it was as easy as that. not because they were family to the Sadira woman, not because they came asking, but because Da'Vinci was a friend, and needed help. And the pups needed help.

"You should know I would not be the one to deny a chld of my friend a home, nor his pups. Welcome to your new home, Da'Vinci, Tyrone and Skylar. I hope you enjoy your new life here. Da'Vinci, if you ever need help with the pups, you know where I live. You are more than welcome to bring them over."

She let out a breif howl to announce the arrival of more family to the matriarch. Then she smiled at the newest memebrs.

Iskata had heard the voice on the air but she'd been half asleep and had just curled back up and fallen back into dreams. The second voice on the winds made her lift her head and rub the sleep from her eyes before stretching and yawning. A swift kick from the monster within her womb and she laughed softly, rubbing her tummy and crawling out of the bed she'd turned into a soft nest. She knew that Deuce had called out to her about family here to visit but she wasn't exactly certain she'd heard right. Stretching once more she sighed softly and moved out of the bedroom.

Padding on soft paws through the cottage and out onto the red dirt road she wondered just what it was that Deuce had called her for, but as she waddled her way down the dirt track she soon found out just what it was. The figures of Davini and Deuce were apparent on the road but the scents and sights of two other smaller figures confused her. She moved slowly but surely towards the gathering, her eyes moving from Deuce to DaVinci as she raised a brow before turning her face back to Deuce for some sort of explaination as to why she'd called for her over DaVinci. Normally he just announced he was there and went on his way to finding the Matriarch if it was important. She smiled and asked. "Well?" She was fit to be tied as to the two hiding in the background but she knew the answer would come.. though in the pit of her stomach she thought she already knew..

DaVinci knew it was coming but he hadn't expected it so soon. He smiled at the woman as she gave them her good graces and invited his awkward family into the pack. His ears pinned back suddenly as she called out for her coleader and his mother. It had been so easy to explain to Deuce that the two were his children.. but to his own mother.. this is where everything was about to take a turn for the worse, atleast in his mind that's all he saw. He watched as first Tyrone then finally Skylar came out to investigate this new creature who seemed to be so motherly and welcoming to them. Some of the nervousness seemed to ease away as he watched Skylar frolic about the woman and hide behind her from her brother who seemed to forget to be angry at his father as he joined in the chase. Shaking his head, baffled at the attitude of his son, yet knowing exactly who it reminded him of. Himself.

Suddenly that voice spoke up as he turned his eyes back to Iskata, never before had he submitted to his mother's voice or even her presence but now he knew there was a different in his life he couldn't afford to screw up. Lowering his eyes he called the two children back to him and the whole pathedic lot sat under the examining eye of the Matriarch. His voice was soft as he did the introducing. "Momma.. I'd like you to meet Skylar and Tyrone.. " He was quiet for a moment as he rose those stormy eyes to meet hers, the pleading there for a glimpsing moment as he said the final words. "Your grandchildren." He didn't know how she'd react but he was ready no matter what came.

Deuce mildly allowed Da'Vinci to explain the pups before she interjected, "I allowed them to make Phoenix Valley their home. Their family is here, and so they should be too." It was hard for the pale woman to put aside her prejudices, but she had in their case. Thye were Iskata's family, and that made them her family too. Phoenix valley was her family, and she could not turn blood away from blood. It wasn't in her, no matter how strong her prejudice against hybrids was.
She smiled gently at iskata, and prodded the older woman, "I do hope that's okay with you, iskata?"
