For Deuce/Vannah-face <3 How're you hun?

push it inThe sun had set long ago, the lazy orb had finally fallen below the horizon, taking with it the light of the day and a great deal of the limited warmth as well. There was a gap in the thick black clouds that hung low in the sky, filled with icy rain, through this gap a half moon shone, the light would not have been bright enough for a human to see by, but wolves had excellent night vision and so they were unaffected by the light being weak and dim as it was, it was more than light enough to see by. The handful of stars that were visible added their milky light to the sky as well and helped to illuminate the land beneath. The green grass ruffled in waves as the freezing zephyrs blew across them, disturbing both the thin blades of grass and the few wilting leaves that were clinging to the nearby trees. A few of these leaves were caught up in the swirling winds that billowed across the lands, dancing together in the moonlight.

push it inSoran was very glad that her winter coat grew in fairly quickly when the time of year rolled around, as she was not cold as she walked through the lands, even at this dark hour. Her long fur fluffed up around her body, keeping a layer of warmth in as she strode across the lands, her long legs moving her quickly across the flat plains of grass that she walked on now, her mane was tied up to stop the chilled breeze whipping the hair up around her face and it getting in her eyes, something which annoyed her greatly, so her wavy curls had been tightly restrained to a thick braid that fell down her back securly tied with a string of thin brown leather. The lady wasn't wandering aimlessly like she often had when she was exploring, no not this time, she had listened to Naniko's directions carefully and knew exactly where she was going, she was going to see her in her new pack. Her former lover, the beautiful pale fae with her bi-coloured eyes and delicious scent, the fae who caused Soran's heart to skip irractically whenever she thought of her. She had been longing to see the alabaster lady ever since she had heard from her almost-daughter that she was alive and well and living not too far away and finally she had mustered the courage to come and see her, to travel across the lands, following Naniko's directions, to see her white girl once again, hoping that she could forgive her for leaving so suddenly once again.

push it inThe jade eyed fae was slightly nervous, she knew this by the way her fingers kept reaching up to the silver pentagram that hung at her throat above the other flint-and-beads necklace, her fingertips brushed against the cool silver as she walked, twisting the circular object over in her hand as she walked, something she did when she was nervous or when she was thinking about the pale lady that had given it to her, and at the moment she was doing both. Her heart ached as she neared the lands, now able to catch the scent of a pack in her nostrils as she walked, she longed beyond all hope that her pale lady would forgive her for leaving without as much as a goodbye, she hoped that she still wanted her around. Slowly her rapid gait slowed to a more relaxed one, butterflies flitting around in the ebony lady's stomach as she neared what she knew to be the borders, her fingers twirling the pentagram around even more quickly now. Eventually the fae stopped at the borders, raising her head nervously, letting out a soft howl, a melodious call for a singular fae, her lady. And then she stood there, her hands restless, now lacing and unlacing her fingers, feeling like a teenage girl waiting for her first love.

The soft howl stirred the female from her nap. She lifted her head, blinking groggily. She swung her feet over the edge of the bed, which was still softly scented with Haku's musk. How long had it been since haku ad been here? Too long. And yet, he'd refused to be a part of thepups lives. it was okay. She could do it herself. She'd done it before, when Thanos had run away. She'd do it again.

The call had come from the borders. Deuce shook herself, then grabbed her shawl, leaving the cabin. It was dark. She frowned, wondering who would have called for her at this late hour. She neared theborders, a scent tickling her memories. Was it really who she thought it might be? She quickened the pace, moving forward. And there stood the dark lady in all her glory. Deuce's heart lurched in her chest. It had been so long. And yet, here she was, once more.

"Soran?" She appreoached as if in a dream. She hadn't seen the dark angel in so long, it seemed. A smile creased her face and she embraced the darker woman happily.

So sorry for the wait!

push it inThe ebony lady knew that she was coming before she even arrived into view, she caught her familiar scent on a fleeting zephyr that blew past her, the sheer smell of her former love, though changed from what it had been, still dragged her back to the nights where they would sit together, just watching the stars, arms clasped tightly around one another. Soran's heart skipped and thudded everytime she caught the slightest hint of the pale one's scent on the breeze. But even if she had not been given that little clue to the fae's impending arrival she would have known, she would have known simply by the way her heart beat irratically, skipping and fluttering nervously in her chest, matching the similar feeling of having butterflies in her stomach, the nervous anticipation was unbearable.

push it inThe lady shifted from one foot to the other nervously as she waited, her green eyes scanning the land before her, getting more impatient with every passing second, knowing that her lady would arrive soon, but feeling like a child waiting for Christmas morning, she just wanted it now, the excitement was almost too much to bear. She was contemplating leaping into the lands and just running, following the scent until the fae was in her arms again, but she did not know how that would be taken in these new lands.

push it inAnd then she appeared and Soran couldn't catch her breath, her lady's beauty in the moonlight caught her by surprise, the hundreds of times that she had imagined it, played the images of Deuce over and over in her head could not compare to this moment, to seeing the pale lady before her. And suddenly the lady's arms were around her, Soran returned the embrace, clinging to her desperately, lovingly. Breathing in the earthy scent of her mane as she rested her head on the other fae's shoulder, cuddling as close to the lady as she could, not wanting to end the embrace.
"Deuce." She breathed, but unlike the pale female's words her's had not been a question, she said Deuce's name like it was a prayer, a holy word. "I've missed you so" She whispered, still clinging to the fae.

The dark woman hadn't changed one bit. Deuce could feel her warmth in her arms, as comforting as a lullabye. She murmured Soran's name again, holding her tightly. Did one ever forget a love? Deuce didn't think so; and even if time had changed thier appearances, it hadn't changed thier hearts. Duece felt her heart pounding, and she wondered if Soran's was beating as quickly.

She didn't let go of the female, just pulled her head back to study the dark angel's face. She hadn't changed at all, in Deuce's eyes. The shaman knew she was something else, though. New scars and piercings crisscrossed her face, giving her a rougher, more aged look. She wasn't the carefree yearling she'd once been. It was okay, she supposed. eveyone had to grow up sometime.

Heya hun, so sorry for the wait, Christmas and New Year has been crazy!

pushitinSoran back at Deuce as she studied the ebony fae. The ebony fae was aware that her eyes were filling up with tears of joy, she was so happy to find her former lover still alive and well, and clearly happy to see her as well. She was not the Deuce she had met though, she was grown up now, it was clear to see in her, perhaps not to everyone, but Soran knew her pale face so well, she knew every hair, every facial expression, and to her it was clear that Deuce had aged, matured, and she had only become more beautiful in doing so. The jade eyed fae moved her arms slightly, resting them on her former lover's shoulders, smiling at her shyly, seeing the pale fae was stirring up so many memories of a much happier time, a time before Hollow had attacked the dark fae and she had been left pregnant and out of her mind, before all of the death, before the lands had burned. Back then there had been so few cares in the world, the ebony lady had had her pale lady, her red son and Dierdre, she had had a family, a real family, and she had loved them all.

pushitinSoran felt a sudden pang of jealousy towards her past self, her carefree self who had never realised how wonderful what she had had was, how perfect life was, true she had been happy, but she did not do what she should have done, which was got down on her knees and than whoever it was who controlled her fate every single day. She missed those simpler times, when she would just skip down the stairs of the Syemv mansion, Conri wrapping himself around her ankles as he followed her, the pair of them would have made their way into one of the many rooms of the mansion and Soran would find Deuce there, and the pair would curl up in a chair together as Conri played. Oh how Soran wished that she could go back to those days, that she could have Deuce back in her life, permanently, to belong to her once again, and have the pale beauty belong to her as well. But so much had happened since then, Soran had been mated for another time, she had had a second littler of pups, one of which she had killed, and Conri had grown and ruined everything for himself, becoming a fragile broken shell of his former self. So much had changed, and yet her own feelings for the pale fae before her had not, she still loved her with every inch of her being, she still missed her every day, though she never admitted that to herself anymore, because she didn't deserve to be with this pale lady anymore, not after what she had done... and that knowledge was too painful.

pushitinBut despite all that Soran had been through that had tarnished her soul, that had changed her and made her feel that she didn't deserve to be holding the pale lady in her arms, it didn't stop her leaning forwards and affectionately licking her former lover's muzzle.
"How have you been Deuce?” She asked, unable to hide the warmth and happiness in her voice.

Soran licked her muzzle, Deuce couldn't help but to grin. It felt as if years slid off her frame in moments, as if the two were still a part of Syemv, back when Conri and Dierdre were pups growing up, and they didn't have to worry about anything but the weather. She nuzzled the dark woman tenderly, aching for those times again. "I've been good. Taliesin is almost grown now, and these pups are a little more active every day." As if to prove what she was saying, one of the pups gave a lusty kick.

Deuce smiled at the bulge, knowing they'd come soon. With as many litters as she'd had, it should be an easy birth.
