{private}ly wandering

The boy had been wandering, as always. he knew his mother was behind him somewhere. Now that she'd found him, she was never far away. It bothered him. he was nine months old, now. old enough to be out on his own, old enough to be a working member of jaded Shadows. And still, she babied him, treating him like he was still a pup.
mother and Father bopth spoke highly of Syemv. The boy had investigated, but found nothing of interest except an old blood encrusted knife. he'd taken it as a token of his bravery. Little did he know that the blade he carried in his mouth now had his birth father's blood on it; it was, in fact, the very blade his mother had stabbed the male to death with.
A gravestone caught the boy's attention. He cocked his head, wandering over, dropping the blade in the grass nearby. He sniffed around casually; the place reeked of coyotes. He grinned lopsidedly, an idea popping into his head. He strutted up the the stone, posturing like an alpha. his lips pulled back from fangs, and he stared it down, then turned, lifted his tail and hind leg and sprayed the stone. he laughed mischeviously, then began scrathing at the dirt idley. what was buried here anyways?
Deuce had never taught him how to read. he was never around long enough to learn, after all. So he had no clue this grave he was desecrating belonged to a former alpha. A loud growl exited his throat as he continued to scratch at the dirt.

Oh, my, my, you're oh so sly.
___ Hmm, I just realized that this makes Shadow a Lehrling. I thought he was still a puppy.

Let's leave unsaid what's left unspoken.
___ If there was anything to be afraid of in life, it was not necessarily fear itself, but what wrath could bring upon you. Emotions were things to be feared, to be read, to be observed. It was with these emotions that drove Hybrid to kill, to slaughter, to fuck, to hurt. It was a maddening rage that still left his mind in tact and allowed him to inflict pain upon others that made his rage so ferocious. He did not fear his hate or hide from his anger like some did, always worried they might hurt someone else because of it. No, he revelled in the glory that was hatred, raw and emotional. He used it to his advantage, as a toy, as a tool to evade boredom. Today, it would be used for slaughter.
___ Hybrid had been watching the young wolf for some time, and had been just far enough to observe without being seen himself. He had began snarling when the thing had lifted its leg, moving quickly to confront the child, but too slow to prevent him from defacing their graves. It was not just any grave that the child was destroying, either. No, it was the one that marked the bones of the founder of Inferni, Yasu Zarah. Hybrid did not bother to conceal his anger at such an act of disgust and malicious intent. It was decided in the span of a few seconds that this child would pay dearly for such an act. "Wolf," he snarled, eyes flashing dangerously, "You have five seconds to start running. You may have enough time to escape unscathed. You may have enough time to be ripped to shreds. Five, four, three, two, one." He laughed. "Go."

The black boy lifted his head, coming face to face with a coyote. Mom had always said bad things about coyotes; seems she'd nbever met a nice one. Matter of fact, there were no nice ones as far as the boy was concerned. At nine months, he had the brash impetousity of youth, and an insolent swagger to match. He puffed up his chest, his blazing blue eyes cold. I ain't a'scart of you, the boy drawled in a perfect imitation of the accent he'd only heard once or twice, the slow southern drawl that he liked.
The boy had all the arrogance of his father, his birth father, and none of his mother's wisdom. he cocked a brow, his mouth pursed in an arrogant smirk. he was no shifter, though both partns were. he'd never learned what could be done in that form, and wouldn't have time now. he chuckled softly. Why should I be scared of a mangy, fleabitten coyote? Instead of running from the demon with the red eyes, he stepped closer as if daring the older male to do something.

Impudence! Hybrid wanted to rip the child's throat out and roar the word, abuse the wolf for its shameful ways. He snapped his jaws as he contemplated what to do next, watching the child with a vicious glare. He was snarling and he could almost feel his body shaking from the pure anger that mixed with adrenaline. How could a child even say that after desecrating the grave marker of their founder? How could the child be stupid enough not to run, not to heed his warning of pain that was sure to come?

"Because, child, I will be the one deciding your fate," he replied, just barely pushing the words out. It took a great deal of force to make the words sound human, rather than the screams of a demon hell bent on another's destruction. "And because there's no turning back," he stated, propelling himself forward and landing to the wolf's side. He purposely moved off to the side, into the child's blind spot, and struck quickly with a quick slash of his claw. He whipped his foreleg out, intending to tear a good chunk of fur and skin off the boy's shoulder. It would serve as his last warning before he would be given time to run.

The boy lifted a lip contemptously. He wasn't afraid of any coyote, no matter how big. And then the beast was leaping at him. Shadow tried to leap away, to avoid the rending he could see following the movemet, but was too slow. Claw met shoulder, removing not only fur, but skin and a chunk of muscle too. Rather than be afraid, the pain angered the child. His hackles stood on end, and he artlessly launched himself at the older 'yote, fangs and claws glittering, but ineffective. the boy hadn't been taught to hunt or fight, he'd been taught to heal.

Hybrid observed the situation, grimly anticipating the child's counterattack. He was clumsy and uncoordinated, and Hybrid suspected that he had never fought anyone - be it wolf or coyote - before in his life. Hybrid frowned, twisting his body and moving quickly out of the way. The child lunged, missing him by a few centimetres. He watched, annoyed that the wolf would attack him after he drew blood. What sort of wolf attacked a coyote who was clearly within his right to give him a good slash and warning? A stupid wolf, that was who. It seemed as though this child knew nothing about the world he lived in.

"That was your last warning. Run now or face the true consequences of your actions," he snarled. Each word required a severe degree of effort, and they came out slightly mangled and harsh. He snarled once more, snapping at the wolf and baring his teeth. This was the last time he would say it; there would be hell to pay if the wolf still did not understand the implications of his words.

"That was your last warning. Run now or face the true consequences of your actions," The boy's blue eyes narrowed as he stared at the yote. the beast had easilly dodged his attack, and that made the boy uneasy but unafraid. He circled warilly, not wanting his back to the coyote. He bared his fangs again, taking a step back, his hackles raisied high. I ain't a'scart of you, he said again, and it was the truth. He figured he'd get his ass handed to him at worst. He was unaware the coyote meant death for him, death and dismemberment, then leaving him to bleed slowly to death. If he was feeling nice, that was. The boy's leg lifted and he marked the grave again, his cold blue eyes meeting the red ones of the 'yote.

The boy had not heard the stories, apparently. Usually it was the young ones that knew the stories well and had heard them from their elders. Tales of Inferni were surely used to scare puppies into behaving, telling stories of the clan's might and ferocity. Certainly they were based on truth, but Hybrid knew that many tales would be exaggerated (sometimes for the worse).

Hybrid snarled, stiffening in response to the child's words. He was a fool. He would also be dead. Hybrid stalked closer, preparing himself to launch an assault and for an attack. He followed the wolf as it moved closer to the grave, snarling once more in warning. He took one quick step and leapt at the boy as he lifted his leg, hoping to catch him while he was on only three legs. He attacked, leaping to strike the wolf's throat with his jaws and rake his back with his outstretched claws. The child would pay for crossing him not only once, but so many times. No one who so blatantly disrespected Inferni would be allowed to leave in silence. He would limp home howling in pain - or perhaps not at all.

((Moving this along. *cuddles*))

The boy was taken aback at the sudden fury of the attack. he yelped as claws raked his back, and fangs met chin. he tried to pull away, tried to get away,. tried to run as the coyote had suggested. He was trapped. trapped by a savage. He snarled, but the snarl held the sickly taint of true fear. he lashed out for the face, fighting now for his life. Blind fear took over as he fell, his underbelly exposed. He felt fangs slice, pierce the thin skin and he rolled, trying to protect himself. One blue eyes shut forever as sharp ivory fangs tore it out. He screamed in pain. his only thought was to flee. But he couldn't, trapped with his back to the gravestone and a blind eye socket to the yote.

Alrighty, a bit of power play on my part as well, but just so it can move from one thing to the next

Hybrid followed the wolf as he fell, tearing at his fur and flesh with his teeth and claws. Hybrid ripped out a clawful of fur and continued to attack, digging into the wolf and ripping him apart. Hybrid flinched as the wolf counterattacked, snarling loudly at him. Hybrid let go of the wolf's neck with his jaws and instead whipped his head around, catching the male's foreleg between his jaws. He snapped his jaws, drawing blood, and spat the blood back out at the wolf. He clawed at the wolf, cackling in glee as his belly was exposed. He wasted no time and jumped at the wolf, snapping at his belly until he tasted blood. He delved deeper, ripping out chunks of fur, skin, and now bits of muscle. His eyes danced merrily as he heard the wolf cry out in pain.

He continued to make mincemeat of the wolf, almost devouring the child as he ripped him apart. Coated with blood and grinning like the demon he was, Hybrid continued to attack. He flinched as the child defended himself, trying to hurt him once more. Again, he caught the wolf's foreleg between his teeth and began to drag the wolf. He bit down harder as he shifted into his Secui form, wincing as the bones and muscles moved, contracted, and grew. The process lasted half a minute, but with the wolf's leg caught so tightly between his teeth, he doubted the child would be able to do anything. When he was fully shifted, he began to move away, dragging the child through the snow, heading West. He would leave the wolf to die at the borders after taking something back to his den as a prize. Perhaps a leg or a tail, or even another eyeball after he had eaten the other.

The boy howled in pain as the foreleg broke under the yotes jaws. His world narrowed to a small spot of color as he struggled weakly. the multiple wounds were draining his energy, his struggles growing weaker. He whimpered as he was deposited on the cold snow, struggling to escape. He dragged himself forward, towards home, cry8ing out as powerful jaws clamped around a hind leg. he howled with pain, begging to be released.

I am SO sorry for the wait! And this is really bad, sorry, again!

He dragged his burden along behind him, seemingly giggling in glee. He paused once or twice to lash out at the wolf, amused as the child recoiled in fear. It served him right for what he had done to the graves - no wolf should ever be allowed to live without a heavy dose of suffering should they ever do that, irregardless of their age.

Hybrid paused as he reached the borders and turned around, dropping the child's broken and bruised leg from his jaws. He moved quickly, attacking the child once more, this time aiming to break all his legs so he would be left to die knowing that he would never be able to wander any farther from this place. He bit down - hard - once he felt contact, snarling and thrashing his head about to rip and tear at what little was left of the wolf. There was a crimson trail showing the route Hybrid had taken, that which might lead a curious coyote to the place of the wolf's death.

The boy screamed in pain, a fearful sound. All four legs were broke, but the boy kept trying to crawl away, only succeeding in giving himself more pain. The demon- for surely that's what this coyote was- seemed to enjoy his pain. The blood continued to seep from his broken body, even as his vision in his one good eye grew dim, flickering like a candle guttering out. He cried for his mother, then, begging for her to come rescue him. he creid for his father, the great black male who would protect him always.

And then Deuce didn't have to worry about the boy discovering the twisted truth of his birth, becuase the boy's last flickers of life were gone, replaced by a slowly cooling hunk of broken wolf flesh. Shadow Erikson Sawtooth was dead.

I'll leave this open so Andre can wander in and laugh at Shadow before running off o:

It was a beautiful, wonderful thing to watch. Hybrid had picked a spot near the child to watch him as he died. He was just close enough that he could see what he did without being so close as to put himself in danger. A dying creature was the most dangerous of all, and although the child looked like it could do no more harm, there was always the possibility. The possibility of death tended to bring out predator's sharpest teeth, aiming sometimes to kill and bring another down with them.

Hybrid chuckled as the boy struggled, humming quietly as he did. He did not respond when the boy cried out, choosing not to waste his breath. The wolf was not worth it. He did not even deserve an honourable death, but was one who deserved to die. Hybrid yawned and stood up, leaving the wolf to whimper on his own. He left the boy with the knowledge that even his prosecutor did not care enough about him to see through his death. He had been left to die.

By his maimed, twisted, tortured nature, Andre was not particularly curious; it was simply a trait of innocence lost on him, like all others. However, he did find interest in the scent of Hybrid, and the strong tang of urine, floating briskly along on the nearly still breeze. His face contorted into a frown, thoughtful if not malicious, as he set along the trail, traveling fully against the wind and lifting his keen nose to the air whenever he felt as though he had lost the scent.

It wasn't long until the boy came upon the sight, and stench, of the blood strewn everywhere, the trail heading off somewhere else. Unlike most children, he had a sense of glee and pride from such a macabre display, and felt his heart race in his chest, responding the heavy iron scent on the wind and in the sand. The boy stood there a moment longer, simply drinking in the sight, before he did approach to see what had caused the horrific battle.

As he suspected, the strong urine scent was marked all over one of the graves of Inferni's deceased, and Hybrid had been the one to find the unlucky bastard. He turned then, stalking along the crimson painted pathway, intentions clear on finding this foolish wolf who had come and defiled their lands.

Upon finding the broken heap of flesh, blood, and bone, almost unrecognizable, he snickered. His approach was swift, and even though the wolf was not totally dead yet — crying out pitifully and struggling in his very last throes — he did not fear the jaws of the creature; it would be too weak to do anything.

Done yet, ya' little fucksucker? He smirked, stepping closer. You're pathetic.

And he lifted his leg and let loose on the broken wolf with the same thing that had caused his own death, not even noticing that it had died, and laughed cruelly before taking off along the scent trail in search of Hybrid.
