Set on the evening of June 13th, a few hours after his fight with Heath. And this is randomly long. o: That's what happens when I post at 3 am. XD 500+

Ehno spent a good hour out in the rain, wounded and aggravated, just to make sure that punk wasn’t coming back for more. Getting into a fight wasn’t how he pictured his day to go, but that hybrid boy was asking for it. But there was no sign of him now and hopefully there wouldn’t be any sign of him again. Satisfied that his opponent was truly gone, he turned and headed for the river, intending to follow it a short time before heading back to the manor. He had managed to come out of the scuffle without any serious injuries, the worst of his scratches and bruises was a long gash on his shoulder, left by the teeth of his enemy. It hurt like hell and hindered his walking slightly, but it wasn’t fatal.

Tired of limping awkwardly in his lupus form, the Sergeant took the time to shift to his optime form once he was farther into the territory. He paused at the side of the river, pulling his still-angry thoughts from the trespassing punk and focusing on the change. It went smoothly at first, just like always, but as his front legs lengthened and repositioned themselves, the wound on his shoulder burned savagely. He drew a sharp intake of breath in protest of the pain, but did nothing to stop the change, determined to go all the way to his bipedal form. Minutes later, he was finished, sitting on the bank and panting slightly, eyes shut tight as the waves of pain continued to flow from the wound.

When the pain finally subsided moments later, he opened his eyes and glanced down at the wound. Fresh blood was seeping from the cut. He laughed bitterly, thinking that it probably wasn’t such a good idea to shift now. He had obviously agitated the wound, and the stress of the physical change may have even worsened it. But better now then later; reopening a healing wound a few days down the line didn’t sound like such a great plan. With a sigh, he proceeded to clean himself off a bit and cleanse his wounds in the river. The one on his shoulder still burned, and he knew he would have to head home and find Naniko, perhaps, to tend to it properly.

With that in mind, the chocolate-hued male worked his way back to the mansion, his pace much quicker now that he wasn’t limping around with his injured shoulder. When he arrived, it appeared that the Commander wasn’t around. He cursed softly, deciding to tend to the large gash himself, even if it was only temporary. Using a long cloth as a bandage, he wrapped his injured shoulder up as tightly as he could, hissing against the pain from the sudden pressure. He retreated to his room to dry off and attempt to rest, but all he managed was a fitful hour of sleep before he gave up and wandered back downstairs.

Ehno made his way to the front door, wincing as the habitual movement to push open the door agitated his wound. He sat on the steps of the porch, watching the drizzling rain in the dying evening light with half-lidded eyes. His thoughts were elsewhere, though, drifting once again to the fight he had emerged from just hours before. The pain in his shoulder had subsided to a dull, throbbing ache now that he was still once again. He hoped no one would step outside to find him in this distracted and injured state.

Lol, maybe you should post at 3 am more often? XD 300+

It had seemed a quiet night. Not particularly different than any other night. And yet there was something different. Something not quite right. But Savina was damned if she could figure out what it was. It was like an uneasy undercurrent that flowed in the sea of her mind and soul. The very moment that she thought she might have caught something in it, that current pulled it away in a different direction. Since it was raining out she had stayed in the den room with Kansas and their pups. It seemed the drizzly weather had brought down all their energy and spirits and the little family just lazed about in their room, flitting in and out of sleep. At one point she had thought she had heard something going on out in the main room of the mansion, but had dismissed it and let her mind slip back into unconsciousness.

It was another noise, probably much quieter than the first, that eventually roused her in the late hours of the night. For some reason the front door of the mansion closing sounded like a thunderclap in her uneasy mind. The wolfess' coal head shot upward at it, her emerald orbs bright in the darkness of the room. What had that been? It wasn't often that members came and left so late. Curiosity and that sense of something being wrong overtook her and she carefully untangled herself from her mate and children. Quietly she padded over to the door to the room and her mind focused on changing her body into that gifted form. Her limbs stretched out and that long mane of raven hair flowed down her back. Standing up she opened the door to the room and closed it behind her. The mother had become quite adept at making sure her comings and goings were almost unnoticeable.

As Savina moved out of the hallway and into the living area the scent of her brother hung in the air. The scent of her brother tainted with a hint of metallic blood. The hair on the back of her neck stood up and she swiftly moved to the front door and opened it, going outside. Her eyes grew wide as she saw the back of her sibling, blood leaking through a cloth wrapping on his shoulder. "Ehno. Che è successo?" Without even realizing it her muscles had become tense and her hands had balled into fists. This is what had been bothering her all this time. Part of her hoped that perhaps it had only been an accident, but deep inside she knew that wasn't the case.

The confrontation kept replaying itself in his mind. The initial hard-edged words that were tossed back and forth seemed to last for only a moment before the first blows were struck. He remembered each attack both participants launched, as well as the defensive measures taken clearly, despite the fog of rage that accompanied his adrenaline rush. The moment where he slipped up and let the enemy get a hold of his shoulder was the most prominent image. Ehno wished he could forget that mistake, and just be glad that he had chased the intruder from their lands in the end.

The sharp, sudden noise of the door opening behind him shook him from his reverie, eyes opening wide and back straightening out in alertness. He hardly realized what the noise had been before rushed footsteps and a worried question fluttered to his ears. He turned his head to the side, glancing toward the door to confirm that it was his sister that had stepped outside. He sighed, not out of annoyance or exhaustion, but simply to gather his thoughts. At first, he wanted to tell her that everything was fine, nothing to worry about. The fight had been his own problem, in a way a product of his own foolishness. But a closer look at his sibling revealed her tense posture, clenched fists, and wide, worried eyes. And he suddenly didn’t have the heart to lie to her.

A memory from months ago suddenly flashed to the front of his mind, remembering how he sat at the bedside of a wounded Savina and the words they exchanged. No secrets. She deserved to know. He frowned slightly, amber eyes meeting her emerald ones unwaveringly. "C'era un intruso errando intorno alle nostre terre." His eyes flitted to the near-dark horizon, staring momentarily in the general location the scuffle had occurred. He looked back over to Savina before continuing. "Ha rifiutato di rispondere le mie domande e non ha voluto partire tranquillamente." The Sergeant left it at that for now, figuring his sister could piece together the basics of what happened from his words and haggard appearance. The various scratches marking his body painted quite a picture of how the tussle went.

She saw Ehno's posture stiffen as she walked outside. She felt bad for startling him, but she had been too worried to care about how quickly or loudly she had approached. The woman had never seen her brother injured, not so badly anyway. The usual cuts and scrapes but nothing like the gash across his shoulder. Her gaze traced over the line and the longer she looked at it the more the anger grew in her chest. Who would dare do such a thing to her brother? She knew Ehno wasn't the one to go about picking fights, so whoever had done this, the altercation had been their fault. Ehno only ever lost his temper when it was warranted. As angry as she was at the culprit, she was also so very relieved that he had not been harmed more than he had.

Savina took the words he spoke into her steel trap of a memory. There was a seed of familiarity in this story. One she had not heard all that long ago. Suddenly instead of her brother before her she saw her mate, also battered and bruised. Yet instead of a gash on his shoulder his upper lip had been torn. Those rageful flames fanned higher inside of her. This was too similar to be a different person. "Che ha somigliato a? Era solitario?" Though she already had a gut instinct that this was one and the same male. Moving herself from that statuesque position she moved to kneel by her brother's side. One slender hand rested on his arm. "Lei è giusto? Lei deve aiutare l'involucro ciò meglio?" She wasn't the medic that Naniko was, but she could do that at least.

Seeing him like this not only evoked anger but also a fear in her. Once again Ghita had disappeared meaning that she and Ehno were all each other had from their original family. Yes, their family had grown with her litter, but that did not mean she needed her brother any less. The thought of him being mortally wounded frightened her. Ever since childhood she had had a somewhat invincible image of her chocolate hued sibling. That nothing could ever hurt him. While it had been childish to hold onto that she had, and now that image was shattered and that fear of loss leaked into her heart.

Ehno’s quick explanation prompted his sister to toss out a few questions about his opponent. His gaze drifted off to horizon, a glare setting itself upon his features at the thought of the hybrid boy. For a moment, he wondered why his raven sibling was so intent on learning about the intruder’s appearance, but it was only natural that she would want to know the details about a violent intruder. With the information, she would be able to inform the rest of the pack about the intruder so that they would be able to keep an eye out for him. Ehno hoped that the kid had learned enough of a lesson to keep him away for a while. He had a feeling the hybrid boy was too cocky to stay away for good.

He thought for a moment, thrown off slightly by her second question before realizing that he already knew the answer. Ehno hadn’t intentionally stumbled onto the truth, but he knew. In such close contact, it was impossible to miss the scent the other carried. No pack scent clung to his pelt, just the hint of various lands travelled through. Ehno nodded in response to the question, emphasizing his words. "Sì, è apparso essere solitario." He paused briefly, calling once more upon the clear image of the intruder in his head. "Ha guardato dei giovani, forse un ibrido. Piuttosto magro, con gli occhi dorati e rosolare ed annerire la pelliccia. Ed il sua braccio giusto era solido annerisce, la destra fino a qui." He lifted his own arm, left hand moving to demonstrate where the marking ended. It was a very distinct marking, making it easy to identify him.

His eyes locked onto his sibling as she kneeled beside him. She offered more questions, though these centered on him, rather than the intruder. The Sergeant felt a sudden pang of guilt within his chest. He hated making her worry, and there was no doubt in his mind that there was fear in her heart now. He averted his eyes in shame, staring out into the dark horizon once more. "Sono bello. Mi non è niente non può ricuperare da." Despite his macho words, he shifted his position slightly more toward her in an unspoken invitation for her to fix his bandage as she saw fit. Ehno was still disappointed himself for getting that wound in the first place. It was a foolish mistake brought on by his extreme lack of fighting experience. He never wanted to come to blows with that male again, but a part of him knew that if that ever happened, he would be more that willing to dish out some payback.

The Italian woman watched her sibling closely and noticed the glare that took his face when she asked him about the intruder. The anger over the event was clearly still running through his body. It all told her a lot about what had happened and what this male must be like. Her brother was no nearly as hot headed as she could be and it took a lot to provoke his temper. She also had never known of Ehno ever being involved in a fight before. Whoever this little wretch was, she hoped that Ehno had given worse than he'd got. Someone like that needed lessons taught to them with tooth and claw. Though she had a feeling that would not be the final lesson he would need to truly learn what he was messing with.

Her suspicions were quickly confirmed when the description matched exactly the male that had attacked Kansas. Jaws clenched together and her lips twitched, showing the tips of those startling ivory fangs. "Bastardo!" she growled, resisting the urge to punch her hand against the floor. Quietly the raven wolfess seethed for a few moments before speaking again. "Kansas è entrato in una lotta con quella stessa creatura. Ciò è dove ha preso quella cicatrice sul suo muso. Il piccolo sciagurato oltrepassava poi come bene." Was the punk after her family? First her mate and now her brother? Whoever he was, she had never met him before, but apparently he had something out for her loved ones. She didn't dare say anything in front of Ehno for he would plead for her to do nothing, but she promised herself if she ever came across this loner that she would rip him apart.

As soon as their gazes locked she saw the guilt filter into his rich amber eyes. Her anger filled face softened and her ears folded against her head. "Non c'è niente per lei vergognarsi di. Lei provava di tutti noi proteggere appena." He had been doing what he was supposed to be doing, unlike when she had gotten herself buggered up. "Se lei starà bene poi che è tutto che mi preoccupo di Ehno." As he shifted she carefully undid the knot in the bandage and repositioned it so that it was covering his cut better. Then she retied it tighter, making sure it wouldn't slip off. "Lei dovrebbe andare vede probabilmente che Naniko nella mattina e ha ciò dà un'occhiata a. Giusto qualora." The last thing he needed was for the wound to get infected.

After his revelation of the loner’s appearance, anger seemed to grip his sibling. Her initial outburst surprised him momentarily. He had expected her to be mad about the whole occurrence, but he did not believe it would affect her so strongly. Moments passed while she seethed and Ehno let her be despite the blooming suspicions within his mind. With such a reaction, it only made sense that she knew something about this male already. Once she had composed herself, her next statement confirmed those suspicions. His amber eyes widened in shock for but a moment, slipping quickly into that steely glare once more. The chocolate hued male was shocked to hear that Kansas had tussled with the same intruder once before, but that final statement his sister uttered quickly stole his attention. "È stato qui prima?" His tone was hard edged, but like the glare, it was not directed at his sibling. "Non posso credere che quel marmocchio abbia avuto le budelle per oltrepassare qui due volte!" Especially after his first romp through the territory led him to a fight.

Savina’s demeanor softened suddenly, as did her words. He nodded, knowing her words to be true. The only reason he had gotten himself into this mess was to protect the pack and his family. As much as he hated the fact that he had gotten himself into a fight, he did not regret his actions. He only regretted getting hurt and making his dear sibling worry. He placed a hand on hers, looking up to gaze into her emerald eyes. "Sono spiacente per fare che lei si preoccupa." She probably didn’t need to hear his apology, but it made him feel better. The Sergeant winced as she adjusted his bandage and tightened it, but otherwise did not complain. He nodded once more at her words. "La ringrazia. Farò." The Italian man was no expert on medicine, but he knew this wound was not as simple as the others. It would be in his best interest to have the leader take a look at it.

Maybe end here or with your next post? 300+

It really was unbelievable that some loner would have the nerve to trespass and get into fights in the same pack not only once, but twice. It was basically signing his own death warrant. If it was a pack wolf it would have been a much different situation, though still incredibly serious. In that case Savina would have gone and talked to the leaders of whatever pack they were from (knowing her luck they would come from Dahlia) and tell them to deal with it and that said wolf was banned from Crimson Dreams lands. However this mutt was a loner. It was more difficult and yet easier at the same time. There was no place that she could seek assurance of security against him, but at the same time she could attack him and it would not only be justified, but would not be stepping on any pack's toes. The woman hoped she got the opportunity to teach the piece of trash a lesson. "So. Se lei mai vede che lui chiami di nuovo il pacco nella forza. L'insegneremo per non di pasticciare con noi." Either way he would get what was coming to him.

But for now she wouldn't worry about the little threat to her family. Now she would focus on Ehno. As he placed a hand on top of her's and apologized for making her worry her lips formed a small smile. She leaned in and gave her brother a soft kiss on the cheek. "È giusto. Non posso aiutare ma posso preoccuparsi di lei, lei è il solo fratello che ho." Savina's voice now held a hint of lightness that hadn't been there for the entirety of this conversation. Her head nodded, glad that he would go see Naniko and have her make sure his wound was fine. Careful not to put too much pressure on his bruised body she leaned against him. All she wanted to do right now was sit here with her brother.
