AW. I hope for this to be a rather quick thread, as it is a late contribution to Aniwaya season game D: (500)

Flowers and random other crops were learning towards the sun. These were very good news. Noir had not checked the crops much lately, and was delighted that there were both flowers and other kind of things. Silently, the girl had hoped that all the plants would have evolved into some other plants that looked pretty yet were to carry fruit later. This had not happened. The girl wondered why. How did the flowers reproduce? Where did seeds come from. These thoughts of wonder slowly crossed over to include where baby animals came from too. Baby Duck had come out of an egg, but where had the egg come from? The Aston child knew that she had not come out of an egg like that, but how exactly had all happened then? Had mommy made babies on her own? Noir and her siblings belonged to Tayui because she was the only parent around. The blonde girl made a note to remember this so that she could ask her mother whenever next she ran into her.

The girl ran into what had once been the sowing field. Some plants were small and some seemed to climb further up towards the brilliant sky. The flowers were the usual dandelions, exploded out from the seeds that Noir had mixed in together with the rest of the seeds that she and Ocèane had been told to sow. This made that sorrowful thoughts to enter her mind, as they usually did these days. Where was Ocèane? All of a sudden she had just disappeared, and the light tan girl, like the rest of the Aston family, was worried about what had happened. At least Ocèane had brought her kitty spirit guide with her, but Noir was very worried about the whereabouts of her sister. Kinigisdi came from nowhere and settled on the growing girl’s head, and she shook it slowly, although making sure the head shaking would not be brutal enough to throw the brilliantly blue coloured bird off.

Now when Noir Aston had realized exactly what the little bird was, she felt much more comfortable around it. For a little while, she had tried to boss it around like she had seen Attila do with his, but the bird took no orders from anyone. Quite often the bird would sing at Noir’s request, but it was settled that Kinigisdi was no servant or pet, merely a guide and a companion in Noir’s life. The puppy had not accepted this completely yet, but she was trying her best to behave nicely. After all, it was hard to remember that it was not only a bird. Well out of sight in the field, among potatoes, flowers and other vegetables: Noir started to shake her bum rhythmically. She had investigated some more about the culture of her tribe. Lately there had been so much rain, so Noir had decided to be of help for once and do a 'sun' dance, both to celebrate the good looks of the crops (they made her happy, so she had decided to dance for them too), but also to dance for the sun in an attempt to make it happy and shine properly like it should.

Here we go! Sorry, I've been helping develop a character for a friend.

Let me show you the wonders of life

Hanna had been looking around this new area, as far west as she'd ever been, ever dreamed of being. She'd wandered around a chain-link perimeter, away to the north, and then happened upon a huge field filled to the brim with growing life. Despite the caveat of the scent-lines, the woman couldn't help but immerse herself into the burgeoning life. While Hanna had never really planted her own garden, had not looked for the seeds to do so, Spring and Summer had always been her favorite seasons because of all the new growth. They were the best seasons to find and collect her medical supplies, the different plants she needed to care for herself and others.

As she went, Hanna took care to avoid what puddles she could, wondering what seeds were being flooded beneath the water's surface. As much rain as there had been, if there were any late-starting plants, they were likely dead, which could spell trouble. The dark paws squelched despite Hanna's care, and she began wondering if she shouldn't just turn back, before she found herself in trouble. Still, something urged her to continue on, to see if she could catch a glimpse of the rest of the pack before she committed herself to speaking to someone and then finding that this was not the place she thought it was.

Before long, the woman had neared the south end of the fields, and she was beginning to worry. The corn would hide her a little longer, but not much more. She peered out from between a pair of stalks where she was crouched, since the plants were not near her six foot three yet, and saw... A pup. Was she tending all these plants herself? Surely not; she didn't seem that old. Did that mean the entire pack helped, or just the pups? Oh, so many things Hanna wondered but didn't know, and couldn't ask. After all, who was around but the girl who was shaking her rear in what seemed, to Hanna, an odd manner? Unless she'd missed seeing someone. But surely they'd have seen or smelled her.

What a conundrum. Should she approach, or shy away; take a risk, or play it safe? She shrugged, it wouldn't be the first time she'd made a potentially bad decision. Out she trotted, toward the girl, slowing so she didn't alarm Noir. "Hello there..." Please don't scream. she finished the sentence in her head.

Her little bum swayed back and forth rhythmically, and the girl hummed along so that she had something to move after. An excited grin had already conquered her face, and she slowly moved around in an uneven circle wagging that bum of her, tail whipping against the different plants that surrounded her. The girl wondered if she should have dragged Claudius along so that he too could shake off some of that tension he always seemed to carry around with him. He was so quiet, very smart, but Noir though that he often seemed sad because of his way of being. She had never liked the way Attila treated his sibling, but she could not always be around to protect him either. Thankfully they had all grown a bit, but the pale brother of theirs still seemed to enjoy picking on the runt of the litter. The girl pushed those thought away, determined that this would be a dance with only good and happy thoughts. Sad thoughts could possibly make it into a sad rain dance, and that was not what Noir wanted!

The girl’s odd dance faltered a bit when a black form approached slowly. For a moment the girl bluntly assumed it was Ember, but as the adult came closer it was revealed that this was someone that Noir did not know at all. The young wolf’s movements ceased and the smile slowly faded away. Dawali had promised that the puppy eater was dead, but the girl still felt somewhat anxious when she met complete strangers, especially when they were trespassers coming into Aniwaya territory. Blonde ears folded backwards in quiet disapproval of the interruption of her lovely dance, but the girl stayed quiet. The woman said hello to her, and those golden orbs slowly sized up the larger adult. Brennt had not said hello, so perhaps this was a good adult. The girl felt annoyed because of her automatic assumption of that trespassers were mean. Brennt was dead and she was not really a tiny puppy any longer either. The woman had said hi, and had been careful when she had entered the scene. She was probably a good person.

The child’s tail, which had been strangely still during this time, started to move again, slowly building up to its previous speed. ”I’m dancing and celebrating and I want the sun to come out, you must dance too, or else it will not work.” There was a serious tone in the girl’s light voice. She had come to meet Noir because this dance was important. Why else could she be in the middle of the sowing field?! Noir slowly starting to move again, turned around and shook her bum at the woman, showing the adult how to dance. ”I am Noir, dance dance dance!” the girl added merrily, that smile back on her lips. Perhaps it was only male trespassers that ate puppies. Either way, Noir had decided that this woman was okay, but only if she danced along. If not, then the puppy would grow suspicious.

The girl went absolutely perfectly still for several moments, her eyes taking Hanna in. Hanna had not known of Brennt; if she had she would probably have been more wary in approaching Noir for fear of scaring her. She said nothing as the girl took her in, her little ears folding back against her head. The dark woman was relieved when Noir seemed to accept her. Her tail started waving and then she spoke to Hanna, explaining what she was doing.

Dancing because she wanted the sun to come out? Hanna might have smiled if Noir's tone had not been so serious. She really believed in the power of dance to bring on the sun. Well, if it worked, if it stopped the infernal rain from falling, then who was she to doubt? Nodding, Hanna let her body begin to sway, her arms rising above her head. Her hips moved rhythmically, her feet making a small circle of prints in the damp earth below her. Now all they needed was a rhythm instrument!

Around any other audience, Hanna would have felt extremely self-conscious doing this dance, but for some reason, she was not. "Is this right, Noir? I'm Hanna, by the way." She smiled widely, feeling herself relax, the carefree movements relieving the stress of the past months.

The girl had no need for the adult’s name. Not now. Noir had been born into Aniwaya and its culture, but seemed to fail more often than not on recognizing and understanding how they lived. This was some of the few things she could understand and it was even loads of fun. Fun things were important, so therefore this was important. Golden eyes peeked every now and then up to the heavy sky in search for those golden rays, really expecting the sun to break through the thick veil of those threatening rain clouds that seemed ready to start their weeping every moment now. Glances were also thrown in the black adult’s direction, and she instantly felt jealous of the optime ability to swing ones hips. Uncle Ho did that a lot too, and Noir really wanted to learn to shake those hips as well!

The adult wondered if what she did was right, and Noir turned around to start to ‘dance’ backwards while watching the adult. ”Is super dancing because you have two legs and shake bum in a pretty way!” the girl excitedly said, wondering when she would be able to shift to her optime form. It seemed there was no how-to-shift guides around. She had been told it would just happen one day, but thought that day could come now soon. The dancing woman was Hanna. ”Hi Hanna, is fun to dance for plants yes?” The blonde girl with the golden eyes started to bounce around the dancing woman, shaking her bum everywhere (because she was still dancing). ”Dance dance dance, dance more!” They would force the sun to come forth!

Hanna did let a giggle of mirth spring forth when Noir began dancing around her. Whether the exercise would help bring the sun out from it's hiding place behind the clouds or not, it was certainly fun to allow one's body to shake and groove. Her mismatched eyes were nearly always tracking the blonde girl's motions, for two reasons. First off, Hanna didn't want to step on the child, and secondly, she was doing her best to coordinate her swaying to Noir's bouncing and bum wriggling.

The woman was proud to know that she was capable of doing what Noir called "super dancing," as she'd not considered herself particularly graceful in the way required to keep from falling over whilst moving her feet and hands in ways different from running or walking. Noir even thought it was pretty, this dance she was doing.

Noir's cute little girl voice asked Hanna if she thought it was fun to dance for the plants, and as she executed a twirl that spun her a half-dozen times and subsequently landed on the bum she'd been shaking, Hanna couldn't help but gleefully reply, "Yes, Noir, it is great fun to dance to help the sun shine and the plants grow." And then she got to her feet and began to swing her hips again, only this time the motion was accompanied by a multitude of splats as mud was flung off her legs and rear into the plants.

this sucks, sorryyy

The woman seemed to understand. Noir also realized that it was double fun dancing together with someone else. Alone could be fun, but not half as fun as with someone else. It did not matter much if she did not know this woman or not. Once she fully reminded herself that the new people she met were nothing like Brennt, she was no better than a small child. Yes, Noir still was a young child in mind. She truly believed that the sun would come out any moment now. Golden eyes rose up to the clouded sky every few seconds to check if the sun was coming forth. It made it seem like it was a part Noir’s dance move. When Hanna started to dance again after talking she started to splat mud all over the place. Noir laughed and attempted to do the same, trotting down around in the rather muddy ground.

It was fun, but it was probably not good for the crop. Maybe it was time to stop dancing for now. ”Maybe enough dance.” Eyes sought after the sun. It was most likely only her imagination, but the sky definitely looked a little bit brighter. ”It worked, yay!” the girl squeaked as she started to run out from the centre of the crops. She continued her odd dancing when she had ventured out from the tall plants.

With a final whirl, Hanna wound down to a stop, staring bewildered over her shoulder. Just like that, Noir was finished. Hanna chalked it up to her youthfulness and nothing more than that but it confused her all the same. She followed Noir from the crops, seeing afterward the damage done to the soil. It didn't appear to her eyes that the plants themselves had been harmed, but then, she was inexperienced with the practice of growing crops and therefore with how they looked as they grew and developed.

The girl spoke again, saying it had worked and Hanna glanced up and around with a skeptical eye, seeing no discernible change in the skies or in how the light shone, but she figured it would not do to say otherwise. She nodded as Noir began to circle again, bounding about like a grasshopper. Hanna merely watched this time, clapping her hands and stomping one foot on the slightly less than muddy ground they'd moved to, making rhythm for Noir to dance by. If the girl insisted, she would jump in again, but for now she was content to let the more energetic girl have the spotlight. Perhaps the further dancing really would draw the sun from its hiding place.
