The sky had been bright and shining when the two pups had hopped off the porch of the Manor. It was amazing, though, how suddenly the sky had changed, roiling with dark clouds that had split open within minutes. Despite the water that was falling from the heavens, the air was still warm and rather pleasant. Gotham scuttled through the grass, his black fur still not completely wet and his tongue lolling from his mouth after the morning's heat. The boy was ecstatic that his sister seemed to be emerging from the lull she had been in. His lips were pulled into a very deep smile as the two puppies shuffled across the grass, a soft giggle escaping his mouth every once in a while. It had pained him so to see her spirits so low, but it seemed as if, in defiance of the gray weather, things were looking up for the little girl.

As the rain started to sink through his fur and reach the tender skin beneath, Gotham called out to his sister, "I'm sooooo wets!" A few giggles escaped him again and he took a few more steps before stopping suddenly. Obscured by the rain, little holes in the cliff face not too far away were starting to become visible. "Looks! A places where we can hide!" With that remark, he started to run as fast as his little legs could carry him, hoping that his sister was close behind.

He made it to the entrance to the cave soon enough and launched himself into it, turning to face outside so he could watch Cambria as she bounded towards him. His fur was just starting to drip, the water slinking down long tendrils of wet hair to fall the short distance to dry ground. With an excited yip, the dark wolf cried out, "We made eeet! Rain monsters cannot get us wittle pupskees in here!" His words echoed through the dark cave, betraying a depth to it that wasn't obvious to the eye. Gotham turned his head to look over his shoulder, curious about how deep it really went.

Things had finally turned around and her mood had soared from the depths of depression that had tied her down for what seemed like so long. It had only been a week or two, but to the pup it had seemed like ages. Time went slow for ones so young, but it went even slower when you were sad. But thanks to Gotham and Amata she was happy again, and she had a cat-pill to look after! She loved Leafy. Whenever she was inside she was content to just sit around and watch him in his jar. Momma had punched some holes in the top so he could get air and would open the lid for her when he needed fresh leaves.

Earlier today she had collected new food for Leafy, and so now it was play time! And right now there was no one better to go play with than her brother. It had seemed like it would be a nice sunny day, but quickly the cloud crowded the sky and blocked the sun. Cambria frowned up at the mean looking clouds. How dare they block the sun again! They were greedy clouds, they were. As if sensing her ill thoughts towards them they began to pour rain down on her and Gotham. Little brown ears folded back, wanting to keep any water from getting inside them. It didn't take long until she felt soaked, but her dark sibling didn't seem to notice. Until he did that is. "I is toos! Too wets!" She continued to walk beside him until he stopped suddenly. Eyes squinted to see what was ahead and saw holes. Gotham took off and she was hot on his heels. She couldn't wait to be out of the rain!

Gotham was faster and had a head start, so he was already sitting inside by the time she got there. As soon as she was though, Cambria began shaking her body, water droplets flying from her fur to splatter against the walls of the cave and her brother. Scooting in a little further her mouth opened in a panting smile. "Yes, silly wains can' get us in heres!" But then something he had said startled her when she recognized the word. "Dere's monsters in da wain Gothawm?" Oh dear, she hoped not.

Cambria was by his side in an instant. As soon as she began to shake, Gotham hunched his shoulders up to his ears as if that would somehow protect him, and let out a little howl of laughter. The heavy drops that his sister was shaking off plopped on his nose and his forehead from every which-way, and felt almost like they were tickling him. Once she stopped moving, the boy responded by shaking his own body. It seemed like most of the rain had already dripped out of his pelt, but there was still enough of it to form little pellets. That would show her!

He nodded vigorously when she agreed, feeling a little victorious that they had outsmarted the rain. It was so big, but the two little puppies had still managed to escape it! Cambria voiced her concern about the monsters, and Gotham turned his pair of bright blue eyes toward her. He hadn't quite meant what he had said in that way, but come to think of it, there probably were monsters out in the rain! His sister seemed a little worried, though, and given the sadness she had been feeling Gotham didn't want to make it worse. In fact, he wanted to make it the opposite of worse. The logistics of this plan were a little beyond what the pup was capable of so far, but he tried his best.

"Um, yes! Buhhht, iiiiif yooooooou," he crooned, extending the words to give himself more time to figure out what to say next before coming to an epiphany and returning to normal speech, "are smarts, thens they cannat get you! And, we are smarts, so they canna get us!" He finished with a flourish of his wagging tail, satisfied with the explanation he had spun. As he described these monsters, they were beginning to be more and more real to him, too, and he found himself inventing mythologies to go along with the monsters.

All of a sudden, he remembered that he had been curious about what was further in the cave. With a little hop, he cried out, "Let's go on an exploring back here!" He turned, and took a few steps into the dim crevice. He wouldn't admit it, but the dark frightened the boy a bit. Gotham hesitated a moment to make sure his sister was at his side. If she didn't want to go in there, he would have to make up a good excuse not to go, too. If I leave you alones, then the rain monsters might get you! That one sounded kind of like he was calling her dumb, and he wanted to be very nice to his sister so that she would be nice to him. Also, Gotham knew that lies were bad and so saying something like that would be mean and bad, which was probably the worst that someone could be! He took another trepid step, hoping that he wouldn't have to think of a good excuse.

Cambria hadn't even thought of the fact that while she was shaking herself off she was getting her wetness all over her brother. After she was done and saw him all scrunched up a sheepish look came on her delicate face. "Oops! Sowwies Gothawm!" However now he was shaking and getting her wet again! This situation was just not working! It seemed only one of them could be kinda dry at a time. Sea foam orbs closed tight and she scrunched up as her brother had when she had been shaking. A small little laugh came from her when he was done though. "We can'ts both be dries in da small spaces, heh." It was pretty comical, she thought.

Though when the subject of monsters came up she watched her brother carefully. Obviously he knew what he was talking about and if there were monsters out there in the rain she wanted to know. Not knowing where monsters were was a good way to get hurt and scared. The last thing she wanted was to get hurt again. Cream-tipped ears strained forward as the elongated words came from Gotham's mouth. As he confirmed there were monsters in the rain she gave a frightened little squeak. Oh noes! Would they still be after them? Would they follow them in here? But Gotham explained that they couldn't get them because they were smart and she sighed in relief. "Oh goods! I dun likes monsters. Dey scawies." Monsters sometimes came and haunted her dreams, especially after that nasty powder stuff. They would wake her up and she'd cuddle up against dada or mommy for protection.

Usually going into the deep, dark cave would have been scary, and it still was, but knowing that monsters were out in the rain made her more willing. There could be monsters in the cave too, but she overlooked that. After all, she wasn't alone, Gotham was with her! "Okies!" she piped as she went after him. Once they were in a little ways though the fear and hesitation started creeping up her back. The girl huddled close to her brother, comforted by his close proximity. "Wha you tinks down here?" she whispered.

Gotham hadn't really thought that his shaking had the actual goal of becoming dry, anyway; he was more interested in making his sister wet again! He giggled a little at her statement and shrugged, realizing that girls didn't think the way that boys did! They cared about being dry, but the little boy only wanted to get his sister back for making him even more wet in the first place! He wouldn't tell her that, though, because then she would be on to him and might even start playing the game, too. The ebony pup would have more competition, and less chance of winning! Naw, today they would go exploring instead of having a water fight, and Gotham wouldn't pursue the matter futher.

He knew that what he said about the monsters was not a complete truth. Of course, it was possible to outsmart the monsters, but in reality the monsters were also very, very smart. They were probably still in the cave with the two pups, clinging to their fur and dancing on the tips of their ears! No matter, though, because despite having a bad reputation the monsters were not really all that bad at all! Gotham sometimes felt kind of bad for them, because no one liked them. It was only their nature to be silly trickster beasts, and who could deny them that? The boy was pleased to have satisfied his sister, though, and would not tell her anything else she didn't know, especially if she thought they were scary. Instead, he gave a brief closed-mouth smile to her and nodded almost imperceptibly. She couldn't know that he was hiding the truth from her, otherwise Gotham would feel very bad.

The darkness seemed as if it had become an actual entity, a thing that was not characterized only by the absense of light but also by the way it seemed to stifle all sounds and wrap around one like a heavy blanket. Gotham's paws felt a little chilly as he continued to walk deeper into the cave, and uncertainty began to creep up on him, too. His head was kept low to the ground, and his tail fell behind him. This way he was less visible, and the darkness could not find him. He merged right into it, black on black, only his eyes catching the faint light and sending it back. The boy felt so sneaky! His poor sister, having been deprived of so much pigment, was not quite so fortunate, and Gotham felt just a little bad for her. As for what might be down in the caves, there was only one answer. "Monsters!" he cried out impetuously, not even a thought of what the word could do to his sister flitting through his mind. He immediately regretted it, and scrunching his shoulders up a little and pausing in his tracks he added hastily, "Haaah ha, I'm just a-kiddin'. Diddi trick ya? I thinks dat's all rucks en dirt en stuff." Eyes wide, hoping that his sister would buy his clever cover-up, he resumed his earlier pace, a hesitant plod through the underbelly of the land.

Cambria had never tried to think of monsters in any other light than being scary things that gobbled up puppies. Once her mind focused on something dark and scary, it was hard for her to think about anything else. A part of her nervous and cautious nature perhaps. Though, if there were monsters in the rain, they must be very tiny. That was a little disconcerting. The monsters she imagined were always big. Much, much bigger than a puppy or even bigger than adults! To know there were tiny monsters made her paranoid for a second. That meant they could be anywhere. The pup swallowed nervously, but then saw her brother's smile and the fears were chased away. There was no reason to be scared of tiny monsters right now. Gotham had already said they couldn't get them, and even if they could, he wouldn't let them get her.

The Marino hung close to her brother and copied his body posture, keeping her head and tail down. She also flattened her ears. Maybe then their cream tips wouldn't be so visible to whatever was in the darkness of the cave. Or was there anything in the cave aside from the darkness? It wouldn't surprise her, the blackness almost seemed like a bit of a creature itself. Like they were walking inside it's belly or something. A shiver ran through her at the thought and she shook her head. No, she should not think of such things, it would only scare her. Though just as she banished those unsettling thoughts her brother blurted out that monsters were down here. A high pitched yelp sounded from the girl and echoed off the walls of the cave. She dropped to the ground and covered her face with her front paws. Nononononono! No monsters! They would gobble them up!

Though when he spoke again one paw moved and one eye opened to look up at him. Or at least where she thought he was. "W-weallies? You dun tink dere's monsters?" It was hard to tell if he were actually kidding or not. Cambi heard him continue to walk and she did not want to be left behind, but she wanted to be sure they weren't about to march into the jaws of some horrible beast.

Oh! It looked like the damage had been done with his outburst, but the following words did, perhaps, ease Cambria's fear just a little. Eyes wide with regret, the boy stopped and turned around, peering at the cowering girl. Shrinking his head back into his shoulders a little bit, Gotham nosed her in the muzzle, staring into the eye that she had revealed. He did think there were monsters, and that was a problem when it came to trying to console his sister. The boy knew that telling lies was bad, but he was conflicted here. His desire to make his sister feel not sad was overwhelming - he couldn't stand to see her so frightened, especially after The Bad Thing that had happened to her just a little while ago - but he also knew that it was important to tell her the truth. Giving her a little lick on the top of her head, he said quietly, "You dun' have anythin' to worry about, Cambwi." It was a fine compromise; he told the truth, and hopefully his sister would feel better.

Of course, Gotham's expertise did not extend much further than the monsters that he had created. The two little pups were venturing deeper and deeper into the belly of the Earth. It was certainly possible that there had been branches in the caves, nooks and crannies to get lost in. The boy did not think much of these dangers at all, and clearly all his sister was worried about was the monsters that may or may not be lying in wait for the two pups (not to be mean, of course, just to play games!). The darkness was overwhelming but not complete, and Gotham's blue eyes had adapted and could faintly make out the boundary between rock and air. There was fear tickling at his insides, but not enough to make him stop and turn around. In fact, it rather made him want to venture further.

Cambria was thankful when her brother stopped walking forward and came back to her. She didn't want him to leave her all alone in this dark place. The nudge was comforting and made her feel a little bit better, but still she stayed on the floor of the cave. There were so many things about the world that she didn't know, and for her, that made it a scary place. The world was full of happiness and magic, she did know that, but she knew there were dark and evil things as well. She had experienced some of them first-hand. The little girl didn't want to be so scared all the time, but it was hard for her to get past it. She needed the support of others to move beyond her fears and hesitations. Thankfully, her brother was doing his best to fill that role right now. As he licked her head she uncovered the rest of her face, looking up into his brilliant blue eyes. "Yahs?" she asked, feeling better yet. "You won' lets anyting happens to me, will you Gothawms?" She didn't think he would, but to bury her fears she needed to ask.

Swallowing her eyes looked past him and down into the darker recesses of the cave. She couldn't hear anything. No deep rumbles or gnashing teeth. Maybe it was okay. Maybe she didn't have anything to worry about. Though the surrounding darkness made it hard to feel confident about much. If only more light had been filtering into the small cave, then she could have an idea of what lay before them. Unfortunately there was no such assurance on this day. What lay ahead of them was completely unknown. Cambria looked back to her brother, trying her best to look confident, but she knew that the nervousness still swam in those aquatic orbs.

The fact that his sister was quite frightened made Gotham even more brave. With his chest puffed out a little, he peered into his sister's green eyes and replied, "'Course not." Cambria still seemed hesitant, though, and the boy would not rush her. He settled down to his haunches and curled his tail around his side. The darkness made every direction seem like every other direction, and if there had been more possible paths to chose Gotham would be quickly lost. He kept track of which way they had come from, and which way they were going, and that was all.

He wanted to be patient, but after a few moments he was itching to keep going through the tunnel. It was dark and kind of scary, but that just tempted the boy even more. He would conquer the darkness, and he would learn what was down there. Likely it would be more of the same - rocks and dirt and stuff, in keeping with the opinion he had previously voiced - but perhaps there would be treasure! He hadn't thought of that before, and now that he did their little adventure seemed even more exciting.

The boy resisted his urges enough to take a moment to make sure his sister wasn't too scared. "Are ya ready ta go?" he asked cheerfully, still peering into her eyes with his own wide blue ones. Her uncertainty was very clear, and again he reminded himself not to force her. It would be harder to explore completely with someone who didn't really want to, because then he would always have to be making sure she was okay. When he was older he could come back to the caves by himself, or with another boy. All boys like exploring, of course! It wasn't his parents fault that they had only given him sisters, but maybe soon they could get him a boy to play with. That would be very nice of them.

He was so confident and brave. Even in the darkness she could make out the outline of his form, strong and proud. And then he confirmed that he would not let anything happen to her. That did much to qualm the young girl's fears. Where she was weak and scared, Gotham was strong. He would be her protector and with him she would try to overcome her problems. She really didn't want to dampen his fun and exploration. Though as he took a seat in front of her she was glad. It would give her the chance to muster her courage and gain the resolve to continue on with him into the unknown place before them. It was so good and nice of him to wait for her. He didn't have to, she knew, but she loved him for that kindness.

After a few moments of quiet contemplation and effort on her part he asked her if she was ready to go. A second or two passed and then she nodded her head. "Yahs, I readies now." Carefully the pup got back to her feet and shook herself to rid her coat of the dirt that surely was clinging to her belly. Even though with her it could be hard to tell sometimes, she didn't want to get too dirty. Her head moved to once again look behind her brother, though what she thought might be different now she wasn't sure. It was just as dark and secretive as the last time she had looked. The Marino took a deep breath and released it, nodding once again to her sibling. He could lead the way now and she would try not to hold him up anymore. Try, of course being the keyword, but she really would try her very hardest. He was doing his best to accommodate her and she would do the same for him.

Thankfully, Cambria did not take too much coaxing. She stood up, maybe just a little hesitantly, before confirming that she was prepared to go even further into the little caves. Gotham smiled a little, surely his grin appearing like that of the Cheshire cat's in the darkness, and as she shook herself he turned himself forward to face the hidden world that snaked out before them. He peered over his shoulder at the girl behind him, making sure that she was still ready, and took a few steps forward. It seemed as if they had made that little patch of earth they had stopped within warm and perhaps even familiar, and as Gotham stepped out of that area the air seemed chill and dank again. Once again, darkness was a heavy cloak. The boy gave a little shiver but continued on, slowly.

If there was treasure in these caves, it was really far in. He couldn't hear any monsters, either, and couldn't see anything at all. In fact, after a few more minutes of wandering it seemed almost... boring. The darkness did not give way to the shimmering of gold, or a pile of bones. Perhaps it was a good thing that no such macabre discovery was made, because Gotham didn't want Cambria to get scared. The boy, on the other hand, would surely think such a thing was mesmerizing and absolutely stunning - before tucking tail and running away, of course.

Gotham slowed a little, furrowing his eyebrows and peering forward as if he was concerned about missing something potentially interesting. "Cammi, is this still fun?" the pup asked, just to make sure. If she was bored, too, maybe they should just turn back and look for adventure somewhere else. As far as treasures went, this particular tunnel seemed to be a dead end.

Gotham turned to face the unknown darkness again and she took a deep breath to steel herself. Those bright blue eyes looked back to her and she nodded her head again. No, she would not hold him up anymore, not at this juncture and hopefully not at any others either. As soon as he took a step she did as well, unwilling to let even the smallest amount of space separate them. She was feeling better, yes, but that didn't mean she was comfortable enough to be too far from her brave brother. Cambria also noticed the change in the quality of the air as they left that area and a shiver ran down her back as well. She said nothing though, staring forward and clinging to the warmth she could feel from her sibling.

The two puppies moved deeper and deeper into the narrow cave and Cambria had prepared herself for something to jump out at them at any moment. That didn't meant that she wouldn't yelp or scream in such an event, but she was expecting something of that nature to happen. But time passed and nothing happened. She didn't even hear anything. No scraping or growling or menacing breathing. Nothing. Her nerves receded and she walked behind her brother with more confidence. The girl still wasn't particularly "confident", but she wasn't nearly as scared. In fact, it was the least scared she'd been since starting down this way.

Gotham slowed and she nearly ran into him, but slowed herself in time to avoid such a collision. Her ears perked at his question. For a moment she was silent, considering her answer. It was all that fun, no, but at least she wasn't so frightened anymore. Though she'd be willing to do whatever Gotham wanted to do. "I dunnos. You wanna do something elses?" Her voice indicated that she would follow him with whatever decision he made, that the choice was up to him. He was the leader of their little excursion.

He stopped completely now, and stared deep into the darkness that pooled before them. The boy had half expected there to be monsters or treasure or something really exciting down there, and after the little bit of exploring they hadn't found a single thing besides dirt and darkness. A little sigh escaped his mouth and he sat down, turning to look, rather blindly, at his sister. Without the little noise they had been making as their paws hit the ground it seemed strangely quiet once more. There wasn't any hint that there was anything interesting up ahead, either, and Gotham's short attention span was starting to fizzle out.

Cambria seemed to be okay with heading back out and doing something else. The boy didn't want to drag her away from anything she was really enjoying, but that didn't seem to be a problem at this point. He did, however, feel guilty for having convinced her to continue and then only a few minutes later decided to stop their exploration. At least Cambria had learned that there was nothing to be afraid of! Maybe they could come back sometime and look some more, because now it wouldn't be so scary. The place had quickly lost its interest, though, and at least at the moment Gotham didn't care too much for a return visit.

Thumping his tail a little bit and pressing his tongue against his sister's cheek, he said, "Yeah." After a couple seconds of more staring into the darkness, he added, "But only if ya den wanna keep goin'." Of course, his interests were not the only important ones, and perhaps in the short time between being petrified and Gotham's decision to stop the girl had developed a lust for exploring the dark tunnels. She didn't seem to be having an immense amount of fun, though, and the boy figured that she was probably as bored as he was.

From his sigh and sitting down, Cambria could tell that Gotham was quickly becoming discouraged with this expedition. The girl stayed standing, knowing that if they did decide to turn back she would have to be the one to lead the way out. Wow, that was kind of weird. She actually wasn't afraid of the prospect though. They had been all the way through that part of the cave anyway, and so there would be no scary surprises waiting for them. Gotham could probably squeeze past her and lead the way if he wanted, but she actually wouldn't mind doing it either. For all the thoughts going around inside the pup's head, it was exceedingly quiet in the cave. The kind of silence that could be a bit unnerving if she had paid attention to it.

It didn't bother her that her brother had convinced her to continue moving forward and now wanted to do something else. It had, in fact, shown her that there was nothing she needed to be afraid of in this particular cave. That was a very good thing to know. If they were ever playing hide and seek, this would be a good and not scary place to hide. Invaluable puppy-knowledge. Certainly if they told either of their parents about the exploration they would be proud of both of them too! Gotham had helped his sister not be scared and Cambria hadn't ran away for once in the face of the unknown. The trip was hardly a complete waste in her way of thinking.

Cambi giggled and wagged her tail as her brother licked her cheek. "No's I dun wanna keep goin'." It really wasn't all that interesting. Pondering for a few moments she came up with an idea. "Mebe's dere stuff in some of da other caveses?" Just because there wasn't anything neat in this cave didn't mean there wouldn't be anything in any of the others. There were a lot of caves around, surely at least one of them would hold something of interest for the two pups.

Gotham was pleased that the girl didn't want to go any further, and the little giggle made his tail thump even harder against the ground. That must mean she wasn't scared anymore! Her suggestion excited him, too. She wasn't just not scared, she actually wanted to go explore other caves! The boy thought that this was a very good idea, since they hadn't found treasure or monsters in this one. Grinning, he nodded and exclaimed, "Yeah! Les go to da other caves!" It was a little startling how much his high pitched voice echoed within the little space, but kind of cool, as well.

The tunnel was rather narrow, so the boy would have had a bit of difficulty squeezing past his sister. Anyway, she wasn't scared anymore, and he wanted her to be brave too! So, lifting his head a little in a yip (but not far enough to hit his head on the rocky ceiling!), he cried, "Come on, Cammi, I'm a-followin' ya! Yew ken pick a cave now, 'cos I picked this un." Gotham hadn't been too lucky with his choice; perhaps Cambria would pick a better one.

They're so cute :3

Hearing his tail thump against the floor of the cave made her feel good. Maybe he was proud of her too! For not being scared anymore. That would be very good. She wanted her whole family to be proud of her, not just momma and dadda. Plus she didn't want to feel like a dead weight that her brother had to drag around. She wanted him to have fun when he was with her. Cambria wasn't brave and courageous like a boy, but she tried to feed on the braveness and courageousness of her brother so they could continue their exploration. She grinned widely when he agreed with her suggestion. "Okies!" Their voices really did sound loud in here, but to her it was more comforting than anything else.

Gotham suggesting that she should lead gave her the confidence boost she needed and her tail wagged from side to side. "Alrights! Dis way!" Of course, there wasn't any other way for them to go at the moment. Cambria turned around and quickly made her way back to the mouth of the cave. The ground and walls were still damp from where they had sat and shook themselves off. Sea foam eyes looked out into the still-falling rain, all thoughts of rain monsters forgotten for the moment. Hmmmm, where should they go next? Off to the right of the cave they were currently in was an even bigger one. If it were bigger it might have more in it! Knowing that Gotham would follow she darted into the rain and ran straight for the other cave. When she arrived she shook herself off again and looked for her brother.

yes n___n and sorry for the delay!

The boy was proud of his entire family, and perhaps he would have been proud even if his sister hadn't wanted to lead the way. She had come all the way into this cave, after all, and that was a kind of scary thing! Maybe he confused pride and love, as all feelings were kind of fuzzy and muddled to him, but he at least felt great positive feelings for each one of his family members. There was not one of them that he was not excited to see. The pup was lucky to have some of his extended family around, too, and the support of pack members that weren't even related to him by blood. He hoped, deep inside, that they were proud of him too.

He grinned as his sister called him on, popped to his feet and began to follow her. Gotham had almost completely forgotten that it was raining, and as he heard its little footsteps get louder he took a moment to place the odd sound. Mindful of the funny monsters, he tiptoed through the rain after Cambria. Once they were inside and she was shaking her fur out, the raven pup giggled. Not this again! When she was done he cast her a coy grin and shook himself out, too, no doubt getting the very few droplets of water that he had accumulated all over his sister.

When he was done he merely stood still, allowing the girl to take the lead.

Gotham joined her in the cave and stood by while she shook her fur out. As soon as she was done though, he shook his fur. At first she had taken it to be an accident, but this second time coupled with his grin made her realize that he was being arnaree (or whatever that word was). When she was sprinkled with the water from his coat she looked back at him, stamping her foot on the cave floor. "Gothawm!" she cried. There was no hint of anger in her voice or face though. Instead a mischievous light glinted in her eyes. Cambria stood still for a moment or two and then she leaped forward, wrapping one foreleg around the back of his neck and her mouth grabbing his closest ear. The girl wasn't always up for roughhousing, but every now and then, with the right inspiration the urge would strike her. Now was one of those times and for now the exploration of the cave was forgotten. She had to get back at her brother!

Playful little growls came from her throat and she tried to wrap her other leg around the front of his neck. Her back legs moved backwards, trying to change her weight and pull her brother over. Of course Gotham was sturdier and stronger than she was, but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. The excitement and confidence boost had given her a good deal of energy that was now focused onto wrestling her brother. Teeth tugged on his ear, though she was careful not to bite down hard. She didn't want to hurt him! She could never want to hurt anyone, especially not Gotham!

I'll change anything as well. :3 So cute. Do you want to end this soon, since it's getting a little old?

He found this game inordinately amusing. It wasn't clear why, but perhaps it was because he had gotten away with soaking his sister at first. Just by shaking, he could undo the hard work she had done to dry herself! It was kind of sneaky what he was doing, too, as if his intent to bug her could be passed off as something he was just doing because, well, everyone does it! But Cambria was onto him, now, and he was going to pay for it!

Gotham giggled as his sister seemed to attempt to climb on top of him, bending his knees a little to brace himself. He gargled out a roar of sorts as she clasped his ear, opening his mouth wide and trying to get a bit of her flesh between his teeth. Once Cambria had both her forelegs around his neck, the little boy lifted his forelegs too, and the two pups were on their hind legs, grappling in midair with the ceiling of the cave looming above their big ears. The boy roared some more, the funny noises interspersed with giggles, and his tail wagged violently. Playing was so much fun! He was very happy that Cambria was not sad anymore.

Requiem made this ♥

Sure we can wrap it up. Maybe have an updated one? Or one with Gotham and Savina? He hasn't had one with his momma! :3 300+

Boys were sneaky! She had learned this when Uncle Ehno had snuck up on she and Amata and scared them a while ago. At the time she had said that Gotham would never be so mean and sneaky. She still didn't think he was mean at all, just sneaky and wanting to trick her. Well, she had changed too and she wasn't going to let him just get away with it! So much of her puppy energy had been sucked dry when she had been sad that it seemed to all burst out every once and a while. Cambria had to admit she liked it when it did. In those times she never felt sad or scared or bad in any way. She just felt happy! Feeling happy was the best! She liked feeling happy.

Gotham's funny little roar made her release her grip on his ear as she giggled loudly. What a noise! She had never heard any wolf make such a noise. "Gothawms tryin' to be's a wion?" Lions roared, or so she had heard. They were big, brave animals, and her brother was big and brave (in her eyes) and so the comparison seemed to fit well. Though she was sure that lions sounded much better when they roared. While she was thinking all this Gotham had raised up too and now they were both on their hind legs with their forelegs wrapped around one another. He roared some more and laughed too and that made her laugh. The pup's back legs danced around, trying to keep her balance and she shoved her weight against her brother. Chocolate tail wagged in time with the charcoal one of her sibling. She had missed being so happy and playing with her brother. At times like this she never wanted to grow up.
