Here's the thread for Ghita & Cambria! Set at Silver Showers. WC: 300+

The Italian fae sat with her back to the sun, watching the water cascade over itself to spill into the pools below. The shade of the water nearly matched the hue of her optics, both sparkling close to a turquoise colour. The sun cast a softish glow onto the waters, peeking behind clouds laden with worries of the past. All too well, Ghita Marino could relate to them. Usually the femme was on her feet, constantly on the move, but today was a sharp contrast.

It had only been a few days since her meeting with Jazper, but the effect that he had on her would last for a lifetime. She wasn't exaggerating - He was the one who taught her just how to shift. The art that was hers by birthright had been buried under past mistakes, leaving no time for her to learn at all. She was slow, sure, but the effect of transforming was never lost on her - every time it made her head spin with the prospect.

Perhaps out of sheer habit, she remained in her Lupus form. She had only transformed to Secui twice, and never into Optime, opting to discover just how she would look at another time. It held almost a child's sense of wonder, discovering all three of her appearances. Walking by mirrors or pools of water in her Secui form still shocked her, and explained her reason for resting here today. Equipped with the idea that she would attempt her Optime form today, she quickly lost that intention in favor of watching the water fall.

It relaxed her, here. She was far enough away from the stress of pack life that she could relax, however she still kept her promise to Savina that she would stay in the pack. She was enough of a Gypsy to feel the pull of roaming, and she missed the excitement terribly. But the longer she stayed the more she had pulling her in so many directions - it was a relief to just lie here and enjoy it. The day was overcast, a small breeze nipping between her dust-colored fur, the long pieces ending with silver tips that revealed a darker undercoat when pushed aside. Lowering her belly to the rocks, she lay her head on her crossed forepaws, watching the water fall. She had to ask herself the true question, something that was all too hard to answer. Am I really happy here?

Yay Auntie! Big Grin Doubt all my posts will be this long XD 500+

The Marino pup had set out today with the intention of trying to get to the beach again. She had really enjoyed her day on the beach with her siblings and Mati and wanted to see the pretty place again. The problem was, that she could not remember exactly how to get there. They had played follow the leader and she had been more intent on that than on paying attention to what landmarks and places they had passed on the way. For once though she wasn't letting that discourage her. Cambria picked a direction and started that way (it was east, but she was not aware of this). She walked and walked and walked and it seemed she might walk off the face of the earth when finally the sound of water came to her ears. Perking up her paws quickened their pace but when she saw that it was a river instead of the ocean she plopped her bottom down.

She didn't think she'd ever seen this river before. Most of her explorations were close to the mansion, she hadn't been this far in this direction. How would she find the beach from here? Sea colored orbs looked around her to see if there was an adult to lead the way. Sadly, there was not. The girl sighed. Why were things like this always so hard? The trickling water seeped back into her mind and a thought struck her. Could the water lead her to the ocean? Maybe if she followed the river, it would take her to the beach! Cambria yipped and got back to her feet. She didn't know if she were correct, but it sounded good and logical. Oh, wouldn't her parents be proud if she were right and had figured it out all by herself? Smiling once again she followed the river, thinking it would be a very good guide indeed.

Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. There was so much walking! She couldn't even see the ocean yet or smell the salt in the air. Had she been wrong after all? Would the river not lead her to her destination? Cambi whined, sitting down and looking at her sore and tired front paws. They were not used to so much walking and were not happy. Cream-tipped ears were folded back against her head. Maybe this had not been a good idea. Even if she were on the right path, how much further did she have to go? She would not make it there and then back home before bedtime at this rate. Listlessly her eyes rose and a little further down took in the sight of a grown up. The pup was excited, but also cautious for she did not know this adult.

Carefully getting back up, Cambria took slow steps towards the laying down wolf. Was she a part of the pack? A new member maybe? She couldn't imagine an outsider would be able to be so far inside her home without being caught. She was still a good distance away when she paused and managed a quiet, "Hi's..." Hopefully the lady would be a nice lady and not a mean lady.

SO SORRY this is so late. >< And it's crap. WC: 300+

The water trickled over ridges and leapt over crevices for a few minutes before the Italian fae was joined by another. She grew lazy through the time she stopped at the wonder, and her eyelids were growing heavy with want of sleep. Thin limbs stretched over the edge, dainty paws resting against the vertical surface of the rock face as her whole pelt ruffled gently in the wind. Invisible fingers tousled her fur, messing more than it would usually have been, but otherwise she looked completely calm. Signature turquoise optics shielded under lids that shut out light, Ghita was giving in to the primal need of sleep.

She hadn't been sleeping well, and that was a fact. She had tried to nap inside the Manor like the others of her pack did, but the roof leering over her had always bugged her, even in Italy where ancient steeples scraped the periwinkle sky. A scent drifted into the ebony caverns, speeding as the pup grew closer. This scent poked at her, nudging her in a way that demanded recognition. When pawsteps echoed through her cranium, she lifted her head and chest, baring her silver-tipped pelt to the water below.

Lazily regarding the newcomer, she was greeted cordially, albeit quietly, and the voice brought meaning to the feeling that rankled her skin. Bringing her elbows so they were more comfortable beneath the stone, she extended her legs out so she was lying on her side before she spoke. "Hi there. You're Cambria, daughter Savina, si?" Her English started off well, the plant rotting towards the ends. Blinking cautiously, she met Cambria's piercing emeralds with her own turquoise before continuing on. "I am Savina's sister, Ghita."

She was almost sure that this was her second niece, the polar opposite to Amata in pelt colour at least. Where Amata's was ivory, Cambria's seemed stained with the richest cocoa, seeping in through every hair to coat the fur. Her emeralds were also all too familiar to Ghita; She had grown up with them, but placed on ebony fur. She remembered the scent, had taken in every detail of her nieces and nephew at their birth similar to the way an alcoholic savored the sweetest wine, tasting all that could have been in her own litter. "It's good to see you again. But you won't remember me."

No worries! It's not late at all, my posting has slowed down as well. <3 Is not crap! 300+

The girl watched the older wolf with curiousity. It looks like the lady had been asleep when she had approached. She felt a little bad for waking her up and hoped that she wouldn't be grumpy. Sometimes, if she were woken up before she wanted to, she was kind of grumpy. Her tail tucked a little, afraid she might get scolded for disturbing the wolfess' rest. There were no angry looks though and she sighed with relief. The adult laid on her side before speaking. She had pretty fur, all silvery and stuff. Cambria hadn't seen anyone with a coat like that before. Though she was incredibly surprised to find out that the woman knew not only her name, but who her mother was. How did she know? The pup was sure she had never seen her before. Though there was something familiar here...the way the lady's voice sounded was similar to her mother and uncle and then the question was accented with an Italian word. Her head cocked to the side but her questions were soon answered with the next words. Her momma's sister?

"Yah, I's Cambria. You's Momma's sisters?" Hmmm, what was the word for her? Ehno was Uncle (or Zio) Ehno. Oh Aunt! Aunt or Zia. That's right! "You'd be's my Aunt thens?" Though this was still perplexing. Not for a moment did she doubt the truth of the silvered female's words, but how come she hadn't met her before? If they were family then why had they only just met now? Cambria was certain that she hadn't ever met her Aunt Ghita before. But now it became even more confusing! Her Aunt remembered her, but she did not remember her Aunt. How could that be? The pup's confusion was evident on her face, impossible to hide. "Why's don't I 'member you's? An' why does you 'member me?" She couldn't riddle this out on her own, it was too hard. Carefully she took a few more steps towards her supposed Aunt, gaze never leaving the adult's face.

I had an idea halfway through the post! How about Ghita has never told anyone about her experience with the drugs except Cambria (soon), and somehow Savina finds out & they have a whole shpeel? It wouldn't be something too damaging to the relationship (hopefully! D= ), but enough for some drama if you ever want a thread idea. Wc: 500+

Looking carefully at the chocolate pup, a smile played at the corner of Ghita's features. Even though she had had a fairly good idea that this was Cambria, it was always a relief to get confirmation. She could remember almost every detail of the last time she had seen both her sister and her sister's litter; every detail of the incident that had pushed her away from her family and pack once more. However, time was finicky and vengeful, and had a way of warping the very memories you held dear into something greater and more terrible than those you had experienced. Or, in some cases, smaller details slipped away.

But the emeralds she knew would be engraved in her - they were her sister's orbs. Sitting up a little bit more than before, she nodded gently as Cambria figured it out. "Si; Yes, I'm your Aunt." Ivory teeth exposed in a grin, or something that could pass as one under the right circumstance. Chuckling a few moments later, she realized the similarities between Cambria and Amata ran deeper than she had assumed before. "You were too young to remember me then, but then I left for a little while, so that's why I wasn't there." Although around pups her patience grew, the Italian fae would really hate to repeat the conversation she had with Amata not too long ago at Old Red.

"Your mum told me a little bit about you before we could meet." She said now, softer than she had spoken before. Cambria was young, that was certain, but the Italian fae hoped that the femme could understand what she was subtly dancing around. Perhaps it was weird, and perhaps unwise to be launching into such a delicate topic straight away after meeting, but Ghita needed to talk to Cambria about what had happened. Partially because she wanted to be a confidant to the pups, help them feel comfortable around her, but also she had some insight on that particular topic.

Droga. Drugs, in the English term. During her time with the Nomads, Ghita lost her stranger status among them, and had been associated with a certain drug to help her forget. Forget about her mate, her lost pups, her mother, all of the great losses in her life. At some times, she wished that she hadn't given it up, but those times were becoming fewer and fewer, and less frequent now. Gaining maturity with age & association with young pups, she vowed not to put any members of her family in danger from the substances, particularly those who had been affected already. She hadn't told a single wolf about her addiction to date - only the Nomads knew, and Ghita knew they were too far away to shed light onto this topic.

She still bore the piercings from her time with them; Many other wolves had tattoos across their skin, so Ghita's metal paled by comparison. If Jazper hadn't succeeded in turning her nieces and nephew into wolvine canvases already, it was unlikely that he would (not that he had tried). And so in that, it was unlikely that any of her kin would like to become a pincushion. Her piercings made Ghita who she was though - set her apart from her pack without revealing her darker secret.

Whee, already talked with you about that so yeah Big Grin sorry for the wait D: 500+

Cambria continued to walk closer and closer to her aunt. The more the idea settled in her mind and she took in the woman's image, the more comfortable she got. The Italian accent was immediately a thing of familiarity and soothed the introverted pup. That and as she looked at Ghita she could pick out little details that reminded her of her mother and uncle. Subtle little mannerisms and things that had been invisible before but now that she looked for them they were there. Soon she was right next to her aunt, though she stood standing instead of sitting just yet. Her head craned back so she could continue to look into those turquoise eyes. They were soft and kind and she liked them. Her tail wagged slowly from side to side, displaying her growing comfort and contentment.

The chuckle that came from her aunt made her head cock to the side. What was funny? Had she missed something? Then it was explained why she didn't remember her aunt, but it didn't make much sense. The Marino's face scrunched up as she thought, trying to recall her life back as far as she could. She found that she couldn't remember as much as she thought. She couldn't remember much before she had been able to start walking around. Only feelings and smells. It must be true then, she guessed. "I guess I see's. Is weird thoughs. Why'd you leaves? Did you goes back to Italy's?" Cambria didn't know much about the land of her mother, just what had been told to her, but it seemed the most logical place for her aunt to have been if she wasn't here. Unless there were more mysterious family members that the girl was ignorant of.

Puzzlement came over the pup as her Aunt Ghita spoke again, but softer and with a different sort of sound in her voice. What was that about? It was like she was talking about something without actually saying anything about it. It must pertain to something her momma had said to her aunt, but Cambria couldn't really think of what that would be. There wasn't anything all that exciting about her. But then it came to her. The young girl had tried to block the experience out of her head. The less she thought about it less it could hurt her, but now the door was unlocked again and she felt her heart beat strangely. Her tail tucked and her ears flattened against her head, her body sinking lower to the ground. A soft whimper flew from her throat and a shiver ran through her small body. No, she didn't like thinking about it, it felt like a smudge on her soul that no amount of baths could make go away. It made her feel spoiled, ruined. Wide, sad eyes looked up to her aunt. Did she not want her because of what had happened? It wasn't her fault! She hadn't wanted that stuff! It was that mean, mean, awful woman! It was her fault!

XD Haha, yeah. And no problem! ^_^ I feel so bad for Cambria!! DD= *wants to hug* ;-; Poor thing. Wc: 420+

Relief flooded her very bones as the chocolate-hued pup moved closer to her. It seemed like her niece was comfortable with the older fae, which made her heart lighter, the weight of wondering whether Cambria would like her lifting inch by inch. She could see the resemblance in Cambria to Ghita's sister, sure, but was busy gaping at how the two nieces she had met happened to be sisters. Cambria held a less naive air to her, which the Italian fae pitied almost immediately, but marveled at how Cambria seemed to be holding up in the face of a stranger.

"Hmm..." A small murmur escaped her chest, lightly humming as she guessed at just how to answer the question poised to her. "I left for reasons that no matter now. But I didn't go back to Italy - too far away." Simple, she cut to the chase, fighting back her emotions better than the way she had with Amata. Perhaps practice made perfect, and the continued explanation of her departure was getting easier and easier to speak of.

Instantly she regretted speaking of the substances, the shared experience that built the bridge between them. It was visible in her niece's very physicality that speaking of this was strictly unheard of, and it was a topic to be avoided at all costs. Ghita's own ears matched the femme's, pinning against her head as she let out a small whine. She couldn't help the wave of guilt that crashed on her chest, weighing it down it physical pain that nearly staggered her. What would Savina say if the first interaction her sister had with her daughter was Ghita making her cry?

"Sh... shh caro. It's okay. They're gone now, it's all okay. I won't let them hurt you." Scrambling for words, whatever she could say to comfort the child, panic slowly beginning to settle in. Wincing at her stupidity, white-tipped paws moved her forward until her head could reach the top of the child's cranium, licking the place between the ears lovingly and gently. "Shh caro, dear. It's okay now. I'm so, so sorry." Her ears remained flattened as she searched the child's eyes, seeing the fear and loathing.

What had she just done? Sadness filled the fae to the brim, and she couldn't stand the fact that she made her niece cry. There were only a few things that got to Ghita, and the fact that her niece was now scared and frightened because of her was something she just couldn't stand. "I'm so, so sorry Cambria caro."

Yah, poor baby ;.; 300+

Cambria nodded her head, taking in the explanation that her aunt gave her. There were still more question floating in her head as to what the reasons were, but Ghita said that they didn't matter now and she would trust her word on that. The young Marino was already learning that sometimes it hurt for people to talk about certain things and so it was best to just let them be. It was too bad that Aunt Ghita had not gone back to Italy, Cambria wanted to learn more about the land that part of her family came from. Momma seemed to miss it sometimes, but not too much. She said she was happy being with her family and it didn't matter where they were as long as they were together. She liked that, it made her feel good and think that her family would always be together. Now that Ghita was back too it was even better! The pup liked having her family around her, it made her feel safe and secure. No matter what she knew that they would keep her safe.

Her little form shook as all of the bad feelings and memories overtook her. She hadn't been doing anything wrong, she had just been inside the house exploring. There had been that bad and she had pulled it over and then the stuff had fallen out and she had breathed it in. The girl wished that she had never seen that stupid bag. She remembered feeling so weird and afraid. All the sounds around her had been louder and yet she couldn't understand them, her vision had become distorted. She remembered the yelling and how upset momma had been and then Mati taking care of her. Even when all those weird things went away she had been left feeling empty inside and couldn't feel anything but sad. She had gone on for weeks like that. It had been so awful.

Her aunt came closer to her and she felt the warmth of her tongue between her ears. Immediately Cambria shoved her face against the adult's leg, tears streaming from her closed eyes. Sobs were heaved from her little chest, she didn't know how to handle all of this. She hated thinking about it. She hated that it had happened at all. At least the mean, bad wolf was gone now but in this moment she was scared again. The pup had had nightmares of the white wolf coming back and making her smell the powder again and they made her cry out in her sleep. Still shaking she managed to peep out a few words. "D-dey scares me...I worried i-it'd happens agains..." Despite how awful she had felt it was like her body wanted them again, and that had terrified her.

If this isn't niece-aunt bonding time I'm not quite sure what is! XD Wc: 600+

It was a relief to Ghita that the cocoa-stained pup seemed to be more mature than her sister. At least, she knew when a subject held the possibility of sensitivity. The silence worried her, however, and she gave in to waiting for the next question. As the moments took by, Ghita was led into her own thoughts, the silent, dangerous cave that held nooks and crannies none should explore. Question of the day? Provided by her niece, however unintentionally. Everything that she had started with was in Italy. Her family, her traditions, her language. Why hadn't she returned back there, to safety, once her life fell apart?

Probably her father held the key. The unfeeling brute of a male who could be called a father still lived there, still thrived on her old pack and the females there, no doubt. There was no question about it - there was nothing that could resemble any civility that could be learned from their father. At least in Ghita's opinion. But it was her home - and it seemed to become more beautiful and desirable by the day. It was her home language, that was true. There she wasn't confined to the common words she had picked up from conversations. Ghita was more powerful in Italian, and possibly in Italy as well.

There was the issue of the sea, however. That much was true. The journey was long enough coming - it would be even longer going back, she knew. If she could even find someone who owned a boat who was willing to return her. And the chances of that were slim to none in any case. To swim it was nigh impossible, a death wish if nothing else. Without knowing it, she took comfort in the fact that there was a sea between Ghita and her father, and, at the same time, a sea keeping her siblings knotted together.

Of all the things Ghita wished she could bite back, turn around and pin to the ground, this was the one most prevalent in her mind. For a long time after, the image of her quaking niece would send nausea throughout the older fae's body. Using whatever instinct survived from her lost litter, she comforted the child, hoping and praying that it would be enough to stem the tears, and make this meeting all the better. Maybe, she could repair it so Cambria wouldn't think of her aunt as a bad person when all was said and done? Would that be too much to hope for?

Listening to the child's fears with a heart growing heavier by the minute, she kept up her assault of comfort, tasting the fear streaming off of the brown-hued femme. Soul breaking as the minutes ticked by, Ghita tried bending down, her face meeting Cambria's and wiping away the tears that found themselves leaving the beautiful optics. "Caro, I know it won't happen again. Do you want to know why I'm so sure?" Ghita gave her niece a moment to recover, while lying down awkwardly around the pup. "Because your mother, your uncle, and I are here. We won't let it happen. But that's not the only reason. The other reason is that you are a Marino, and Marinos are some of the strongest wolves I know. Look at what your mother has accomplished!"

Now she was just running off of the first idea that sprang into her mind. Ghita really had no clue whether being connected back to Italy would comfort the child or not, all she could do was hope that this mixed with the physical contact would help in some way. "Marinos are from Italy, and you have their blood in you. We're all together - we're all on your side and will help you no matter what. Can you promise me you'll remember that when you feel scared again?"

haha, no joke! this'll be good for both of them :3 500+

The girl let her aunt comfort her in whatever ways that she was. She let her wipe away the tears, even though they were quickly replaced by new ones. It was all too much for someone as young as she was to deal with. She didn't understand what had happened to her, not really, but she was too afraid to ask. For once, she didn't know if learning about it would make things better. There was a strong possibility it could make them worse. Cambria didn't want to be curious about the horrible white powder. She didn't want to know what it was or what it had done to her. She didn't want to talk about it. She didn't want people knowing about it. The girl worried that others would judge her for it even though it hadn't been her fault. Even though she hadn't wanted it. So when it was mentioned it brought on a massive anxiety attack, which was what she and her aunt were having to deal with now.

As Ghita spoke those watery eyes looked up to her. She was sure it wouldn't happen again? That did some to qualm her fears and when she asked if she wanted to know why the pup nodded her head. "Yes, I wants to knows," she said in a very small, quiet voice. Her aunt laid down around her and Cambria pressed herself against her soft and warm fur. She took a long, shuddering deep breath and with that breath came the scent of her family. There was a note that she smelled from her momma and Amata and Gotham and Uncle Ehno. They all had it, and it must be because they were family. The words were comforting. She was glad to hear that none of them would let that happen to her again. But when there was more to the reason her ears perked up slightly. Because she was a Marino? And that meant she was strong? Cambria certainly didn't feel strong. She was shy and scared most of the time. But when she was asked to think of all her mother had accomplished she couldn't help but feel pride that her momma was so smart and strong. She lead the pack and she was strong and brave. Maybe there was some of that in her too, hidden deep inside.

The pup snuggled tightly against her aunt as she looked up into her kind face. Her little nose sniffled, but the tears were disappearing and the tightness in her chest was ebbing away. "Yahs?" She had never thought her family wasn't on her side (thankfully she was ignorant of her uncle's current situation) but to have it reassured gave her more confidence in that fact. Yes, they would be there for her and they would protect her. "I'll twies...bu' is hard sometimes..." Her gaze dropped down to the ground for a minute, contemplating things. "You weally think I could be strongs too? I dun feel strongs..." She never really had, even before this all had happened.

Let's hope they'll be closer afterwards. ;3 Wc: 300+

In that moment the two Marinos weren't allies yet, but comrades on the battle field who had seen similar battles. They had both involved small piles of powder - light but dense with side effects and more than enough to render someone addicted for a long time to come. Only the strongest among them could resist the aftermath. It was no coincidence that the two were both of the same blood, of Italia.

However, Ghita's addiction had been no accident. While the darker-hued child had only been curious about the drugs, Ghita had needed them to defend against her past. It had become a necessity to her, not to think about what had been left behind. The fae was older, weather-worn, and yet she had only just been able to break it's hold. While Cambria on the other hand, younger but wiser entirely, had never sampled again, or shown any signs that she wanted to.

Although largely inexperienced with pups, the wild-child almost-mother seemed to be doing a good enough job to quell the fears. After all, Ghita had made the fatal misstep in which she revived the ancient demons. Contact initiated, she pressed around the pup, almost trying to gently squeeze out all that could hurt her niece. As her story unfolded before them, Cambria's reactions were studied, the older unsure whether the relationship could stand another error.

She couldn't help but feel some reassurance that she was doing alright. She wasn't being alienated by the younger fae, and she seemed to be doing well. At the pup's question, she nodded, a small smile playing on ebony lips. "Yeah." A small nuzzle found it's way onto chocolate hued fur. Listening to Cambria's doubts and worries was painful, making an uncomfortable wave of heavy guilt settle over her. All Ghita could do listen and hope that she herself wouldn't succumb back onto the 'wagon', driving down the wrong road. "I know it's hard, Caro. But we'll do our best to help you through. And our best is very, very good."

"Of course you can be strong, Cambria." She smiled reassuringly, hoping to convey her belief onto the pup. "Sometimes, I don't feel very strong either. It's rare that we always feel strong. But we try anyways, and trying makes us strong."

I think they will be :3 300+

Feeling her aunt press in around her felt good and felt comforting. She liked that physical closeness and that was the kind of contact she needed now. The small girl wondered if this would always happen when that part of her past was brought up, if she would always turn into such a wreck. She knew that it would never be a part of her life that she would be comfortable with no matter how well she was eventually able to handle it. It was something that never should have happened, especially not to someone as young as she had been. No one had dared to mention it in front of her and she hadn't figured it out for herself, but if she had inhaled any more of the powder she could have died. Such substances were rough on full-grown adults and were most definitely not for children. She had been lucky that she had been found so quickly after it had happened.

Cambria leaned into the loving nuzzle, reminding her of being cared for by her mother or father. Ghita's words and actions were doing a good job of returning her to a calm state. It gave her all the more confidence that her family would never let such an awful thing happen to her again. They loved her and would protect her. Her momma was in charge of the pack and she knew she would never let anyone bring in that evil stuff again. She nodded her head before once more pressing her face into the warm fur of her aunt. Her face was still damp, but tears no longer fell from her eyes and her breath was steady once more. "Thank yous," she whispered softly to the older femme. This introduction had started off rocky, but she knew her aunt hadn't meant to upset her and now she was doing all she could to make it better.

Sea green eyes looked back up to meet the turquoise. She really thought she could be strong? It was amazing that anyone could think she were strong. Out of her siblings there was no doubt that she were the weakest of the three. She couldn't recall a single moment where she had really felt all that strong. Perhaps in exploring the caves with Gotham, but that had been partly because he had been right there with her. "What can I's do to feel strong? Just twies?" Cambria guessed that she had never really tried all that hard to be strong, maybe that was part of the problem.

Do you want to start towards ending this soon-ish? Wc: 400+

The hammering that had been the steady tempo of her heart for the past few minutes began to subdue as the pair slowly became calmer, almost as one being. Taking her cues from the younger pup, Ghita kept her own emotions on par, calming when she became calmer simply because it meant that they were leaving the uncomfortable and dangerous 'forest' of fears behind. For a moment Ghita allowed herself the marvel of having a small body closely related to her seek comfort in her pelt. Shuddering, a journey that had taken Cambria to where she hadn't wished to go ended up bringing Ghita to the same place, sought out by the demons of her own past.

Ghita's opinion of the foreign substances and Cambria's opinion differed greatly, to say the least. To the pup, it was a place where none should go, fraught with unescapable terrors and woes, but Ghita sought out the drugs to escape the terrors and woes. Yet the two of the same blood could be a comfort to each other in this tough time, and in the aftermath as well. There were somethings that Ghita felt you were entitled to an informed choice to, no matter what the age. Drugs happened to be of this category, and there was a part that threatened to take over the fae that cried out for vengeance for her wronged niece. In slight wonder of herself, she let out a hissing sigh, not directed towards any but the older fae, amused and tongue-tied at her emotions now.

It always seemed that the fewer words there were, the more powerful affect they held. 'I love you' and 'Thank you' among those categories, groupings that held few syllables, but were weighted down with emotion more than they could carry. In their case, Ghita simply nodded at Cambria's thanks at first, before blinking away a pearly tear that danced at the corner of a hidden turquoise optic. "Any time" She whispered in return, placing her large (in comparison) ebony nose just by the chocolate of Cambria's cheek.

Amusement danced in Ghita as her niece asked just what she could do to feel strong. A small chuckle escaped her before she replied, a smile dancing across pearly ivories as a smile crept across her face. "That, my dear, is something that every wolf asks several times over the years. Trying certainly helps, but I don't think there's a definite answer."

Works for me! 300+

Cambria didn't understand why the ex-Commander had wanted that horrible stuff. Maybe it effected grown ups differently, because Naniko had never been as horribly depressed and sick as Cambria had been after her exposure. At least not as far as she knew. Basing her views off her own experience, which was really all she could do, she couldn't imagine why anyone would want to do that to themselves. She saw it as a punishment not an escape. These views would probably never leave her completely. There weren't a lot of things the pup was incredibly adamant about aside from the love of her family, but she knew that those drugs were wrong and that nobody should be messing with them. They not only hurt you but they hurt the people around you too. It was a selfish thing and not something she could understand.

It felt good, being curled up against her aunt. Having the older wolf reassure her and say that she would protect her. Feeling safe was one of the biggest needs of the timid pup. She never had any desire to go explore outside of Crimson Dreams for she knew that inside the pack was the safest place she could be. Here they were people to protect her, out there there might not be anyone. Out there everything was unknown and that was uncomfortable to her. Eventually she would traverse lands outside of her home, but right now such a day was far away and there was no where else she wanted to be but where she was. As Ghita touched her cheek Cambria moved her face and gently licked her aunt's muzzle. Actions could speak louder than words, she knew.

The pup's head nodded. It seemed some of the biggest questions had no specific answers. That could be frustrating to young minds, but she had come to accept this. "Well, I'll twies to be stronger thens." It seemed that that would be all she could do for the moment. Hopefully with time and age she would feel more confident. Time was probably going to be her strongest ally in such a quest.
