Name- Husk Erumm
Age- 2.5 years
Luperci- Yes
Date of birth- July 17
Alternative contact- AlkalaranGear (AIM)

ooc- This is my one char for now, I am not rejoining with Vexx for a while (Note to leaders- Husk has beeb changed since I last played him so he technically has not met anyone yet.

The childish way he was, Husk frolicked his way around for the few years he was alone and out of the way of the pack he formerly lived in. For some reason they wanted him to leave. His childlike mind thought it was so he could succeed without their help, when actually other reasons were the reality. Still, his elementary thinking was unaware of most things in the world, like the fact that he was a lot older than he thought he was, which was a factor in how people thought of him. Most assumed he was mentally unstable, or even mentally challenged, but he was just improperly educated in logic as well as social order.

Despite beinv as normal he could be, he wasn't quite. His deafness, and his later lost ability to speak, held him down so. To the point where he just couldn't fit in. It was a sad fate for him indeed, but for now Husk had no care. He was happily roaming near a packland he was unaware about, especially unaware of what could find its way to him.

hello again! ... i was wondering if the info in his profile up-to-date?

From the moment at which she woke, Anu found that her mind was consumed by many different things. She first watered the plant inside the Manor, and then she ventured to the garden. The few fruit trees she owned were heavy with apples and Anu gathered baskets full each day. But now her found the use of her four legged form and left the pack's center and roamed to the outskirts of her home. Noontime was approaching, the Sun high in the light cerulean air and leaving a small shadow below her small paws.

The slight wolfess traveled over the well worn path that made the boarder with ease, her nose working more then any other sense. Black nostrils picked up the changes, hunted the things that just didn't belong. It did not take much time for Anu to find something that was out of place. The fur of her spine bristled, the scent of a stranger making her uneasy. Blue eyes did not have to hunt for very long until they found the origin. He was within the pack lands, barely but still too far for her comfort. She postured her position, tail, head and ear high that spoke of her leadership rank. And you are? The fey asked as she approached him wearily. He was no pack wolf, and a rogue could be dangerous.

Ooc- yes I updated it just before I posted. Smile

Husk wasn't expecting someine to try to talk to him. He was already to busy looking at the sky and landscape around him. The green grass was so interesing to him that it distracted him from the female that approached from his behind. As he turned around, his cloudy eyes spied the grey wolf almost out of his line of sight. His eyes widened, unsure of how long the lady had been standing there.

He was so surprised that he tried to speak to the woman, rather than think about the situation. "Haugh! Mao neem awes Hooske." His deepish voice sounded blended and slurred together, like he was drunk, but he was attentive. He could not hear how he sounded, and his words sounded like they should've in his head. He didn't think about the fact that his words weren't quite understandable. Husk was just too excited to have seen another person. He wasn't exactly sure what the other wolf had said, she had spoken too fast. He could barely make out one word she said, and just introduced himself as his answer.

ok just wanted to check xD , and is he shifted?

He was certainly something to look at, and it made the Lt. General weary. A large male, masked and trespassing was not something that Anu, nor many pack leaders, appreciated. He turned as she spoke, and Anu watched him with a noticeably surprised look. When he spoke she fought to understand him, and struggled to figure out what exactly he was. Silence overcame her, and the Dreamer studied him.

"What?" Anu questioned, her calm and collective nature struggling to stay intact. The gray and sand female took a few tentative steps around him, blue eyes never leaving his form. His posture and nature did not seem threatening, but it was hard to look away from the creation that was his face and forget the different language that he spoke.

Ooc- oh yeah XD yes he is shifted.

The wolf looked dumbfounded at him when he spoke. Sure, Husk knew English, he just couldn't speak it right. That was the reason for him to learn how to Sign. Although he had to teach it to a new person everytime he stayed somewhere. People had to understand him somehow. He couldn't read, write, or speak correctly so some form of communication was needed. Some could barely make out what he tries to say with his voice, but it was only a select few. This female was obviously not one of the select few.

Husk had almost forgotten, however, about the hollow pendant around his neck that contained the special note. He fumbled for it excitingly, hardly calm about showing this lady the scrawled note inside. What he wasn't aware of was that they made the pendant child-proof, so Husk couldn't open it whenever he wanted. He held it out to the other Luperci, his tongue flopping out of his mouth. "Owwen! Owwen! He tried to tell the wolf to open the small pendant, but of course speech impedements messed his words up once again.

ohnoo... anu isnt shifted and cant read >< lol

Maybe she wasn't looking hard enough to find the unsaid answers. Not all could communicate the way she was used to. Could there had been a time when their was no language? Maybe before the time of the Luperci, and before the destruction of the humans. They they spoke through their bodies and through the primal sounds and scents. She did not understand him, or know what kept him from speaking to her. Anu stepped back, and searched for the answers.

He was a loner, seemingly stranded in a place unfamiliar. His stance was neutral and excited, and non threatening. When he eagerly approached her Anu was taken aback and yet she felt no fear. She looked at the thing around his neck, a small pendant that held something that might just give her the answer to the numerous questions that she had. But the blue eyes fey could only look at him. The leaders stood her ground, her tail high to tell him her space was something that she demanded. Looking at his face, the oddity that it was Anu spoke. "Are you lost?" She questioned, speaking slowly so that he could understand. "This is Crimson Dreams, I'm Anu." She explained, still looking at his face and wondering what it was that made communication so hard.

ooc- lets not worry about knowing how to read until Husk figures out how to tell Anu to open the dammed thing XD

The greyscale wolf was getting frustrated that he couldn't get his point across. He didn't know why she couldn't understand him, did she not speak English? He squinted at her mouth as she spoke again, still a little fast for him. Aaannno? That's what it looked like she was saying. Crims Drames? It was a little hard to lipread wolves, or any canines for that matter, but he still could make do. "Aaano. Crimun Drame?" Those looked like words when she said it, but Husk didn't know what they meant. He thought he saw "name" before "Ano" so he assumed that was her name. Before that he saw "lawst", and assumed she was saying he was lost. "Naw. Naw laws. Lawk. I lawk."

Once again, Husk pointed to the pendant and made an "opening" gesture, as if he was trying to open the little bottle. He backed up a little when he saw her tail fling up. His cloudy eyes stared at her mouth, however, waiting for her to talk again.

Oh, she thought. Finally that she was concentrating and focusing on his makes face Anu could make a guess at what was wrong with him. She frowned. And sat back on her haunches. Still he pointed to the thing around his neck and still Anu did not know what she could do about it with no fingers and thumbs. He couldn't hear her, that was obvious now. His speech was impaired because he could not hear the words that he spoke, and the way he looked at her mouth instead of her eyes when she talked. Resting uneasily on her paws the small wolfess spoke once more.
"You need to open it yourself." She voice loud and slow, she spoke with her lips more then her tongue. What was inside was another mystery, but at least Anu had found the answer to one of the many questions.

"You can't hear me?" she asked and declared.

ooc- Husk reminds me of a retarded Scooby-doo XD

Husk finally recognized that the other wolf wouldn't shift just to open his necklace. It seemed selfish to him for her to do that. This was important! Still, the big grey pushover sat trying to figure out how to tell the woman about him. He gave an angry frown to the still unopened pendant. Why wouldn't the thing open? The elders had done it before him, but never showed him how they did it. Husk made another dissapointed frown on his masked face.

He muttered angrily as he tried again, not hearing the female speak again. He used all of his might to open it, and it ended up practically exploding open. Husk was too happy to have opened it that he almost forgot about the paper inside. He leaned over to pick it up, pinching it with his dull claws and holding up so the worded side was facing the female. "Yeou reed?" Read was an easy word to lip read.

Anu had never encountered another wolf with such a disability, for she was sure that he could not hear her at all. Never would she expect another to shift in her presence, it was a private thing for the female, and not something that took the effort she might extend for a blink of her eye. It could be painful if done on a whim and in haste. Anu would rather not feel such pain for a beast she did not know or understand.

But she looked with sorrow in her eyes for she had to tell him that she could not read his small note. "I don't, I'm sorry." She wore a frown at the thought. It had not been her intention to greet his beast and then not be able to help him at all. But still Anu wanted to understand him further. She wondered if he was looking for family in the 'Souls region, or if it was a place to stay that he sought. "Do you know someone here? Family?" She asked, sure that he could answer her with a nod, or shake of his head.

Ooc- Sorry for my sooper late fail :<

Husk gave "Anoou" a frown, knowing she was trying to tell him she couldn't read the small note in his hands. Maybe she knew someone who could read! The thought made the masked wolf smile again. There had to be someone who could read at all, even if they weren't that good. His eyes strayed however, to the shards of the broken pendant that lay on the ground. His frown returned, sad he didn't have something to wear anymore. He picked up the shard still attached to the thread, looking back up at the female with the broken necklace in his closed palm.

She spoke again, making out the words "Family" and "Here". Husk could definitely answer that. He shook his head from side to side wildly, his mask almost coming loose from the belt that held it in place. His lidless eyes darted around to the trees and quickly back to the grey wolf. He was getting a little distracted, probably he couldn't properly talk to his newfound friend.

calling someone who can read in...

Blue eyes looked down at the broken locket that held his little letter. She frowned at it, unsure what she was to do with the stranger in her home lands. Looking back at him Anu tried once more to figure out what sort of beast he was. The mask he wore, the way he spoke and the obvious hearing impairment made the need to know what the note said even more dire. Ears turned backwards, as she grew unsure, but when he told her that he was alone and that there was no one that he would looking for the leader could only figure that he need a place to stay. The pack was friendly and accepting, but Anu needed to trust the male and with no way of communicating with him she could not begin to build that relationship. "I'll get someone, she will be able to read that. Would you want to stay here?" She spoke the words slowly as she explained her next idea. She knew nothing else that would make it easier for the pair.

With a tip of her head the Lt. General called for her Commander. Savina would know what the words said, if they were in a language that she understood.

short and crappy, but wanted to get something up before homework eats me tomorrow ><;

The call for her made the woman groan. She did not want to see anyone right now and most certainly was not in the best humor to have to deal with someone she did not know. There was no helping it though, she was the Commander. She also knew that Anu wouldn't call her without needing her. The Italian wolf pushed herself up from the hay in the old barn. The place was unvisited most of the time and that made it the ideal hiding spot for her. Ever since her conversation with her brother she had been in misery, her mind and heart constantly assaulted. Just when she had thought she was finally getting away from all those problems this had come to drag her to new low.

Her trip was not made as quick as it could have been, she did not feel like running, but she made it to the borders in a timely manner nonetheless. Hollow emeralds took in the sight of her Lt. General and strange, very strange, male. Her face stayed neutral and ragged, unable to manage anything else, but her body took on the posture of her position. The sable fey walked over to her friend, looking at the other with suspicion. "Is something the matter?" she asked the older female quietly.

Husk furrowed his brows as he tried to understand what the grey female meant. "Stee Heur?" He asked, giving Anu a look of uncertainty. Stay here? Well, he had been trying to do that for ages. With no luck of course. Still the greyscale male held the paper from his pendant so delicately in his hand, as he waited for a response from the female. She said something about getting someone to help, but Husk had a difficult time lipreading. He didn't blame her of course, not everyone had experience talking with a deaf person, let alone someone who knew no Sign Language at all. Husk had some patience though, as was able to put it to good use.

Then another female showed up, a black one with bright green eyes. Husk tried to see what she said, but she spoke to fast and her lips were unexaggerated. It looked like she wanted to know what was happening, so Husk could only assume so. He gave her a smile and held out the paper to her. "Reed? Yew reed, yees?" He spoke almost excitedly, not knowing the full extent of the black woman's mood.

The timber wolfess was glad to see that it did not take Savina long to arrive. She was still so unsure how to managed the deaf male, and Anu wanted to know what the note said. Blue eyes looked at the male as he attempted to speak, and then back to the Commander. Savina would know what it said, and what to do to help the masked male. "He can not hear." Anu explained, feeling that it might help her understand the situation. Eyes then looked to the paper, "And you know I can't read." she said with a small, innocent smile. It wasn't something that she was proud of, though in a way it wasn't her fault.

The appearance of the strange male was disturbing. What was wrong with his face? Despite the unnerving outward look though there didn't seem to be anything hostile about him. Though when he shoved his arms out at her her leg lifted in the air, shoulder moving away from the unwanted advance. Something was not normal about this creature and it made the Commander wary. Anu spoke though and part of the problem became clear. He couldn't hear? That was so strange, she had never run across anyone with such a disability. Eyes looked back to the masked wolf and tentatively she reached out with her jaws and snatched the piece of paper out of his hands. It was a good thing that Kansas had taught her to read. Still the skill was new to her though and it took her a few moments to decipher the writing.

"It says, 'I deaf and mute I need a place to stay I cook good pay attention and take orders like army soldier I do what you ask.'" Savina looked back to Anu. "That's all well and good, but how are we to communicate with him?" That was the most pending problem. Curiously she looked back to the male. "Can you understand us?" she asked slowly.

Husk bobbed with excitement as he watched the black wolf read the paper. His childish nature made him excited about little things like these. It was a little disturbing to watch a fully grown (not to mention ridiculously large) shifted Luperci male giggle like a schoolgirl just watching someone do an everyday action. Husk certainly was strange. He saw that the two quickly exchanged words and then the darker female looked at him. When her eyes were on him, his ears perked up and he gave her a childish smile.

She asked if he could understand her, and he flung his head up and down crazily, his tongue sticking out slightly. He thought of trying to use sign language with this female. He first pointed to himself, then fingerspelled his name: H-U-S-K. He did it slowly, as she had spoken slowly to him. He pointed to himself several more times. "I unstawnd."

They had been friends for quite some time, and Anu could read the uncertainty that radiated from Savina. The blue eyed woman could understand what might make her feel that way, by the sight of the newcomer. But, she could also look to the strange male and see that there was no true menacing intention in his disfigured form. He was different, and even if it was difficult to understand and communicate with him, he wasn't bad.

Ready to know what the note said, Anu watched Savi take it and speak the written words.
“I think he can read our lips.” She commented as she looked back to the masked male who seemed to be agreeing with all of what they had to say.
“Your Hoosk?” She spoke with a small smile, remembering that he tried to tell her something like that. He needed a place to stay, Anu figured. A safe haven, where no one could take advantage of his loss of hearing and his childlike mind.

Face turned back to Savi, “He needs a home.” She stated, still uncertain but not about that fact.

When she looked at him he gave her an innocent smile. So innocent in fact it reminded her of a pup. She supposed that despite his rather startling appearance, that there was no malice in this wolf. It did a good job of easing her hesitance, but she still knew that trouble could come from it. There could be many problems of a full-grown wolf behaving as a pup and being as naive. Still though, could they really turn him away? Savina heaved a sigh. She really did not need someone who would need such attention, but she couldn't feel alright if she told him to go elsewhere. Her conscience wouldn't let her forget.

Almost as soon as Anu spoke the newcomer enthusiastically nodded his head it seemed that was indeed the case. He gesticulated some but the Commander couldn't understand what it meant. Had she been more adapt at reading perhaps she would have caught it, but it was still such a new skill to her that she couldn't make heads or tails of someone spelling out anything in the air. Her Lt. General shed light on his apparent name though, thankfully. "Hoosk? I am Savina." She took care to make sure each word was spoken slowly so that he would understand.

The fey looked at Anu and nodded your head. She didn't know if they were equipt for such a thing, but she guessed that they would find out. "I guess we'll give him one." She turned back to face the male. "This is Crimson Dreams. You can stay here. You are a Basic Officer. We are your leaders." Her face stayed neutral, not able to muster even the smallest of smiles. Now that this was settled she just wanted to head back into her seclusion. She didn't have the energy to stick around.

The black female gave him uncertain looks, but Husk paid no mind. He was happy to have made new friends. Anoo and... "Sa'ina?" He wasn't sure of the pronounciation, but he could tell how it was spelled. He pointed to Savina, and spelled her name slowly: S-A-V-I-N-A. He liked how they spoke slowly and awknowledged his ability to lipread. He then pointed to Anu and spelled her name as well: A-N-E-W. He didn't know it was wrong, but it was a clever try for someone completely deaf. He gave her an uncertain look and then stared at his hands. He waved it off, knowing he'd get it sometime later.

Savina then spoke to Anu again, something about giving. Give what? And to who? To him? The thought made him excited, as the word "giving" in Husk's mind was related to "present". That of course wasn't the case. Savina turned to him, again speaking slowly and articulately, about Crimson Dreams. Crimson Dreams was this place, as the grey female said it was. She said he could stay (which made him excited of course) and that he was a basic officer. What was that? He had absolutely no clue, but saved the words for later. She then told him that she and Anu were his leaders, "leaders" being a word he understood well. He nodded, pointing to the two of them and then making a motion where he stood on his tiptoes and made a sweeping motion with his hand, showing that they were metaphorically "at the top". He tried to say Crimson Dreams again, his tongue fumbling over the name. "Crim'on Dreem?"
