R sloooow. Obsessed with cartography-ing 'Souls. XD

The hybrid woman breathed in deeply, exhaling it in a raw and ragged sigh. She was seeking some solitude from the world, some time spent alone would do her damn good. Her brain stewed with angry, rotten thoughts over her near-fight with Gabriel, her precarious position in the world, her age—anything the black cloud in her skull could attach itself to, it did, and these thoughts flooded the hybrid woman's psyche as she stalked further away from coyote territory, her long legs carrying her rather quickly over the soil.

It had ceased to rain, and Kaena was treated to a rather pleasant sunset, only the fluffiest and lightest clouds still hanging over the horizon. The hybrid woman was quite glad that they had dumped their fill of water over the past week; it would have been simply insufferable if she had to prowl around out here and let her thoughts stew and get soaked by the rain. With the onset of autumn, the days were growing far shorter, and by the time the hybrid reached the mountain it was already almost dark, just the lightest hints of periwinkle still lingering on the very edge of the world.

The air was crisp, and Kaena was feeling rather vicious, though not particularly hungry, and upon finding a relatively fresh scent trail the hybrid began stalking it, slowly identifying the creature as a badger. Such a find was rather good for her mood, since she was certain it would put up a fight. Already prickling with eagerness, the hybrid woman slowed her walk and crept along the ground, seeking after the clawed creature. It did not take long before she found him, shuffling along. Her shift began quietly and painlessly, already halfway to her Secui form before the the badger came into sight.

Almost immediately as Kaena sighted the creature, it detected her presence, whirling on its feet with a speed unthinkable for its body, fearlessly charging the grayscale coyote. The hybrid was no fool; she knew that an exceptionally fierce creature such as this could certainly fend off a canine in some circumstances, but it was this one's unlucky day that it had run into Kaena. She was capable of killing her own kind, what thread did this pose? The hybrid circled around the creature each time it charged her, moving with lightning quickness out of the badger's claws and teeth.

It was not long before the creature tired of this method, with the coyote simply removing herself from the way of his attacks, and he tried something new, altering his own course to where she dodged, his claws swiping at her foreleg. The return blow was a solid smack of halfling teeth against his skull, her wider jaw gripping around most of his head and a powerful jerk backwards of her head, lifting the creature from the earth and shaking it violently, her powerful jaws clenching shut tightly with a crunch. There was a thud as she dropped him, blood and silvery brain fluids leaking from the shattered, smashed-in remants of his skull. Breathing heavily, the hybrid woman reclined onto her haunches with an inappropriately wide grin on her scarred face, blood dripping from the slash across her foreleg—just another to add to the tally.

The red she wolf lay out on the cool ground watching the sun fall behind the horizon and give into night. She had left the pack lands for the night intent on getting away from all her pack members. They were all so insuferable. Dealing with their whinning and constant complaints was tedious. Maybe she was better off becoming a loner, since she was such a horrible pack member. It was stupid to leave, she had enough comfort there to at least stay there. Getting to her feet she shook her blood red pelt, the leather collar around her neck moving with her as she shook.

It truely was strange to come back to this pampered life after what had happened. True she had left the pack for a few days, but Svara hadn't intended to be gone so long. They all assumed she wanted to be gone. Let them assume what they want, she shouldn't have to explain herself. It was amazing how many scars she could come back with, how gaunt she could look and they didn't even think about the worst. The fetor of death was lingering in the air as she walked, making her grin, inhaling the scent even more.

Moving slowly on her paws she took her time following the scent of blood and anger. Of course she smelt the badger as well and figured that was the blood she smelt as well. It didn't take her long to come across the two, the coyote hybrid and the now dead badger. She ravaged the creature with sharp flings of her head. With an empty expression Svara sat down not far away watching with a bored glance. The women looked older, and her own scars ravished her body like her own. Svara didn't say anything, she'd rather wait and see if the women adressed her. It was always interesting to let the other wolf take the first words.

http://sleepyglow.net/rp/kae/kae_razor.jpg); background-position: bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; text-align:justify;">     For her rage and lascivious grin at the creature's death, Kaena found that the pleasure derived from stealing a life was rather short-lived, and the hybrid woman soon found herself anything but isolated. There was another presence here, lost in the fervor of the moment. She stiffened, her defined coyote muzzle pointing toward the newcomer and inhaling sharply. The Centurion did not miss the scent of Jacquez and Cour des Miracles mingled amongst the younger canine's pelt, and again she marveled at how the coastal pack liked these lands surrounding the coyotes. This was the third she'd seen in this area, and it struck her as odd, though none of them had ever presented themselves as a threat before.

And anyway, Kaena Lykoi had had her way with Jacquez Trouillefou, and she personally had nothing to fear from the coastal pack. After bedding each other once, their meeting after that event had been rather lustful, though it had not come to the same conclusion, since Kaena had accompanied Anselm home to Inferni—though certainly not to sleep with him, as he considered her an aunt of sorts, not that Kaena would have objected to another infusion of de le Poer into her loins. Ahren had been more than pleasant, and she found herself recalling the crucifix in the church for a moment before also remembering that such a place was restricted only to memory now.

The hybrid stepped over the badger's body as if to protect her kill, though she had no intention of eating the creature. If anything, she would drag him back to Inferni, deal with the mess of decapitating him, and put his head on a pike. The more the merrier, the coyote woman thought. If others were inclined to devour badger meat, the hybrid would allow them the pleasure. The red-furred female had been watching her, and even now that she had been noticed she did not speak. There was clear reservation in the coyote, as the wolf did not appear particularly well-meshed into the Miracles pack. Their scent was not terribly strong on her coat. "See anything you like?" she asked rather sharply.

Svara watched the women, but didn't feel at all awkward doing it. The badger was well dead and would have no chance at this life again. Death was not something Svara had a problem with. Maybe in the end death even excited her, she had never been that great at life. Rules had always been her down fall and socializing was never something she had achieved in either. Her yellow eyes didn't change there bored expression as the scared hybrid had her fun on the beast.

It didn't take her long to look up and finally adress her. Of course Svara had no idea who she was or that she had had sexual relations with Jacquez, not that any of it mattered to the red wolf. A grin came to Svara's features as she finally narrowed yellow orbs. "If I had I would have already taken it." Her own words had humor lingering in them. She wasn't afraid of some hybrid, one more wolf that could attempt to kill her? Leave more scars? Svara was to tired of the dominating bull shit. She would live her life as she wished and let the ground run red with her blood if it had to.

Kaena had left her own packlands seeking solitude, and now there was this girl here bothering her. The hybrid woman kept the sour snarl off of her face for the moment, though she was still not being friendly. There was no reason to—wolf or coyote, most creatures didn't appreciate simply being watched, and certainly Jacquez would understand if she smacked the ennui right off the younger canine's face, wouldn't he? Dark and twisted thoughts flew through the coyote woman's head, and she raised her lip, displaying just one long, sharp canine tooth in the woman's direction. A ridge of irritation had risen along her spine, all spiky sable and grizzled fur, clearly showing indignation at the red wolf's words.

The hybrid was not blind to scars, and the Miracles wolf's were interesting, to say the least—but in the moment they meant nothing to the silvery canine. "Oh, you think so?" the coyote asked, a grin that could only be called malign on her scarred muzzle, sitting there quite smugly. She was sizing the younger canine up already, her sharp golden eye regarding the russet female with a self-assuredness that was natural to arrogant Kaena. Her raspy voice was flat and calm, disguising the rage that had risen at the girl's smart mouth.

There was nothing new here for Kaena; this was simply another punk wolf who thought it was alright to take advantage of hybrids. The woman's opinion of Jacquez had not fallen any, but maybe now she would regard the Miracles wolves with a little more caution than she had before, if this was the attitude they had amongst their ranks. The hybrid woman had stepped fully over her kill, though one back leg remained over it as if to hold it and proclaim it as her own. She had ceased advancing there, quite content to leave the distance between them exactly as it was.

OOC: Rape is not a crime, it's a compliment :3

She almost laughed at how easy it was to rile the women. Most wolves it took a few insults to get them at this level of defense and anger, but this women she was so easily offended. It made Svara all the more excited, anyone that took insults this hard, would be a ready situation to divulge in. Laying down in a bored way the red bitch didn't miss as the hybrid walked over her food in such a protective way. Hadn't she said she didn't want anything? What an idiot to think she even wanted it when she'd already said she hadn't.

Aren't you big and bad. Why don't you drop the neanderthal additude. Svara's yellow eyes looked at her with a dule expression. She went as far as crossing her paws and taking an even more relaxed position. This women could do nothing that no one else had already done. Features ruined to many marks along her body, soul damaged to the many mistakes she had made, and life distorted to those very scars and mistakes. This women could do nothing that no one else already had. How could svara fear anyone anymore? Death wasn't something she feared at this point, she anticipated it.

Perhaps it was her already existing piss-poor mood that had goaded the hybrid to react badly, or the taste of blood on her tongue—either way, Kaena was simply not amused by this turn of events, and they had only served to sour her further. At the girl's words the hybrid's lip again raised, derisive of the comment. She had meandered over here to Kaena; what right had she? "I am not proclaiming the ability to just steal whatever I'd like tos steal, wolf," the hybrid said, spitting the last word line a venomous curse. It was only the lingering scent of Cour des Miracles and Jacquez that kept the coyote woman in relatively good humor—that is, planted where she was.

Her head rose, her scarred features and the sunken hole where her eye should be all the more eerie in the dark; just one single, glinting hint of golden yellow reflected back into the younger woman's straw-yellow gaze, just the hinting tips of her canine teeth showing against the sable of her lips. "What do you want?" the hybrid asked suddenly, emphasis on the final word. The silvery Centurion thought to hurry the conversation along its natural course. The sooner she determined what—if any—merit the wolf held, the sooner Kaena could be on her way.
