Private, 300

The sky had been ripped open and was bleeding heavily down on the world below. There would be no stars tonight. Shadows were stretched long and gloomy as dusk danced closer, accompanied by that delicious anticipation that Haku Soul carried. Plans could fail, but as most things they could be amended if the mastermind had the time and patience. She had pushed him to the edge and further, and could no longer be excused for her worthlessness. Things had gone too far and Haku knew that this that he intended to do tonight should have been done months before. There was no reason to wallow in self pity; think back and grow the fury further. She had treated him unjustly in his opinion that early morning, but had she if he included those deeds that no one knew of?

It was good to finally intend to get things done around here. Dahlia was slowly shrinking. Was it because of his? Did the dark rumours drive new and old blood away? If so then the Lilium of Dahlia did not have much time. He just wanted to see blood. Nothing else mattered. He needed destruction to run thick through his blood and he did not care how it would happen. There was no fear of losing, no desire of winning. He just wanted to watch the rain turn red and shower him with his innermost true colours. No matter what his dark lady chose, this was something that he intended to do. Haku wanted to destroy. The church seemed abandoned, but the blue eyed demon knew better. Dahlia’s Rosea was inside those slowly faltering walls.

The secui pushed the already ajar church door open and walked straight into the large room. He had always found a certain eerie beauty in the abandoned human churches. They seemed to still hold some sort of meaning and power. The churches hid his secrets and held his enemies. Gabriel de le Poer was a holy man and had shed blood in the holy house. Haku hoped that the floor of Dahlia’s church would be glistering red by the time he left the building. ”Come out, come out, little Rosea,” the man called out sweetly with an aftertaste of evil. He wondered how long it would take before he could bend her after his will.

It had finally happened for her, she had privately known for some time and her and Slay had celebrated between just the two of them. Still they hadn’t publically announced it to the pack, days were too dark in Dahlia for the Rosea to expect the pack to rejoice in her own good fortune. Part of her was weary of bringing new life into the world, or at least into Dahlia. Cwmfen had up and left, taking Chastity and Honor with her. There had been no explanation, no note, nothing. The raven warrior who had pledged herself to Dahlia and to Cercelee was gone, and it stung. Never had Cercelee held it against someone when they choose to come and go, but with Cwmfen it felt a betrayal. Had there been a reason… but Cercelee could think of none. If Cwmfen has stayed then Haku would perhaps be by this time gone, but he was still Lillium and danger still lurked on Dahlia de Mai’s borders. Cercelee hadn’t told anyone of Haku’s assault on her position, she had planned to speak privately to Cwmfen but by the time Cercelee went looking the women was gone.

And so it was, taking on a plumpness that looked unnatural on her slim body Cercelee brooded at home, over what to do. Many in the pack were loyal to Haku, as loyal to him as they were to her. Ask have of them, Kol, Mew and the others to choose sides and they would surely be torn. Slay of course was her ally through and through but he was not a fighter. For his sake, she told him nothing of what Haku had said, least he go looking for trouble from the unpredictable male. Haku would not leave willingly, that was sure, and Cercelee played with the idea of enlisting the help of another pack. Savina? Ember? Jefferson? She had connections to almost every pack, but to ask them for their time and effort in overthrowing her own Lillium, it was shaky ground. The only one who would take pleasure in such an act was Gaberiel and he certainly owed the Rosea of Dahlia de Mai nothing.

And while growing more round and debating on the right course of action, time slipped from her. Already the air was freezing and the rain wished to turn to snow. Fall had slipped by and winter had strangled the lands, prey was scarce even though Slay kept their home well stocked, better than he ever had before. Which was what he was out doing when Cercelee woke to the voice she had dreaded would come to her door. Normally, if Slay were not home, she was not either, but the pregnancy was sucking the energy from her and she had requested to stay home and sleep. Now she forced herself up and out of the bedroom, into the main church room. There was no point in hiding, he would just follow her if she had slipped from the back room. And she was, after all, still Rosea.

"Go away Haku." Her voice was stern and face strong and stubborn. Cercelee, blossoming mother that she was, stood in the doorway between the personal living quarters and the church hall, tall and erect, her lips uncurling slightly at the sight of the intruder into her home.

She declined his invitation to play, instead appearing on the other end of the large room. The male cocked his head elegantly, light disappointment apparent in his masculine face. His jaws clicked shut a few times, sending dying echoes in-between the walls. She wanted him to go away. How rude. His face was kind and curious, but this was not a positive thing. In this setting it could be quite deadly. His reasons for coming here were darker than black. She still held her title, but the control she had already lost. The chocolate coated brute wondered if he had ever fully been under her power. In the beginning he had bowed his head, but never entirely. Now merely the thought of doing such a thing brought forth a mental grimace. No, things were in need of change.

”We never really did finish our little discussion,” his disappointed voice reminded her. His short tail moved contently around his flanks as he kept approaching her. For once he should make this quick and as painless as possible. He could be kind every now and then, but she would have to control that arrogant bitch mouth of hers. As he approached he suddenly grinned, surprised he had not noticed that she was carrying children earlier. ”I’m here to offer you a truce. Step down and remove your crown or I will do it for you.” simple enough and she really should accept it. What other choice was there? Unless she wanted to die and kill her children and break her mate’s heart as well? He did not care much; it would be a win – win situation for him either way.

Ears flicked in irritation. Cercelee didn’t have time for this foolishness, most of Haku’s complaints were foolish. Had he had his way he would of never stopped the senseless war with Inferni until one side or the other were wiped out, even if that meant their side. While he acted as a mascot, a strong male leader to give the illusion of strength within the pack, his usefulness had run out. His words too were foolish. Perhaps he had not heard her before. "Go away Haku." Her voice was sterner, he eyes narrowed and the lips that had only been slightly curling at the edges exposed white fangs.

If he touched her, his scent would coat her body, it would be clear who the murderer was. Dahlia de Mai wouldn’t accept a mindless killer as Rosin, even if he did not step down they could leave. There weren’t many ways to hide the truth, the scent couldn’t be washed away… only other scents could be added, but with Haku the only one here and Slay on his way home. Slowly she took a step towards him, ears laid back, unsure of where the courage came from. He would be forfeiting the very crown he was after if he killed her right then, leaving the body, or just the scents and blood behind, for the rest of the pack to discover.

Always rude; forever refusing to get down off her high horse. Did she not understand she had no choice? She simply repeated that same sentence – go away. No. Haku would not go away. He drew in the dry air slowly, imagining her scent dancing together with blood. It would be so beautiful. She even took this a step further and revealed a glimpse of her lousy teeth – as if she would ever manage to stop him using those to draw the blood of an immortal. A disgusted chuckle echoed through his head; gloating at her always so obvious inexperience with such matters. The only thing she seemed good at was to breathe and waste perfectly good air. No playing games today then. Oh, how boring she was.

He bared his fangs, demon eyes screaming for blood now. Blood was more important of any crown, and he held no patience for her arrogance today. Holding a title was not enough to protect her; not enough to be a leader. ”I think I’ll rip out your young ones first. I hear their flesh is particularly delicate.” he said in his dark voice, determined to keep his beloved Rosea fully informed on exactly what was to happen. He was her sub-leader and it was his job to keep her up to date. His burning blue orbs eyed her chunky womb now. It was so sad; he had offered her a great deal and she had only responded with her usual arrogance.

Her stomach churned at his words, she could have vomited right then and there had anything been in her stomach. As it was she merely dry heaved, her ears pinned back against her skull as she tried to gain composure of her gut. He couldn’t be serious, even Haku wouldn’t be so reckless. Yet staring up at his cold, dark eyes she could see no rationality left. Suddenly the children growing inside of her were far more important than the whole rest of the pack, though before she would have sworn that she would give her life and even the lives of her family for the protection of Dahlia de Mai, she would sacrifice them all for the children she bore.

“Okay… Okay…” Her voice was gentle, soothing and most of all submissive. All the fight had instantly fled when she realized there was a very real possibility that she could get hurt here. Or rather that they could get hurt. “Whatever you want Haku… I’ll step down.” And she meant it. Dahlia de Mai was not worth it, and as soon as Slay came back they would flee, just far away enough to keep her children safe but close enough to send help into the heart of Dahlia and remove the demon once and for all.

While he had wanted to avoid dancing about needlessly he found that he was slightly disappointed in her sudden change. It did not go well with him at all, actually. His pace towards her slowed down. He kept his threatening pose. The change had happened far too smoothly to be trustworthy. It mattered little anyway – it had never been his attention to let her out of his sight again. No, Cercelee had to be kept under his control for now until it was safe to properly dispose of her. His act was flawless and he let her see contentment spread on his features.
”I’m pleased to see you still have some sense left in you,” he purred lowly.
”I won’t toss you away immediately, so stay around and pretend to not be completely useless, okay?” Oh, he would not let her off the slack anymore. He turned somewhat and gave a short bark, calling forth his dark lady. Cercelee could not be trusted, so a baby sitter would have to be assigned to make sure peace was maintained. He looked down to the ivory woman, flashing a false smile as he heard his lady’s dark form enter the building and draw up to them.
”This is Lillith, though I think you two already have met. She’ll keep an eye on you from now on, just so that we won’t run into any boring complications." he revealed. There was no way he would allow the navy eyed woman to bounce around without supervision. She was many things, but not stupid.

OOC: Last posts?

Cercelee nervously watched the male as he relented, content in her submission. Although she gave nothing away, she did not eye the door, did not move an inch, he had anticipated her next move. Of course she was going to run, she was not an idiot. It was when the dark lady appeared Cercelee’s gut flipped over and a new wave of nausea overtook her, the anxiety she felt then rocked her to her very core. Navy eyes met those of Lillith, the crazed woman who had brought Haku back to Dahlia and perhaps saved his life, or so that is how they had told the story. Cercelee knew then that she couldn’t tell Slay a word… she could but she wouldn’t, and perhaps Haku knew that.

Her mind went over the possible scenarios, even if she told Slay and they made a break for it, Lillith would be upon then but she would not be so stupid as to not call for Haku. So even if Cercelee could get away, Slay would have to keep Lillith busy and when Haku came… she wouldn’t see Slay again. No, it was a lost cause, and Cercelee knew then that she had inherited her father’s leading trait, that of a coward. Had she only the strength when Haku first came to deny him anything… the what if’s and the could have beens haunted her as she stared up at the dark lady, but as she stared at her and dreaded for the life of her mate and unborn children she knew that whatever death came upon the Rosea, or whatever rank Haku had assigned to her now, she deserved it. She could have done better. She could have prevented this.

He turned and watches his pitch black demoness enter the room with the grace that only a madwoman could hold. She was perfect for the job and had yet to name a price for her services. It would come soon enough, and he would wait until then to determine whether or not she should be tossed away. Everyone was a tool in the sociopath’s mind and everyone could be disposed off if they proved too much of a nuisance. Perhaps things had been different had both Cercelee and Haku played their roles differently, but Haku made sure never to dwell too much on what could have been. It was important to focus fully on the future and not least the presence.

Haku’s gaze turned to the Rosea a last time before she was stripped of her title. ”You’ll be the Adonis for now, though I will have no need for your services. We wouldn’t want people to become overly suspicious about this change.” This was it, basically. He turned to leave – brushing lightly against his dark woman when he passed her. She was the only living being worthy of his trust and he was certain that she wouldn’t let him down. ”Hopefully this will all go smoothly – as we don’t want anyone to get hurt,” the male’s voice added as a final statement before he slipped out into the cool air – tasting his new freedom as the alpha male of Dahlia de Mai.

Still, his demon whispered that this had been too easy.
