Today it would be he who would speak to the crowd. This was a part of the package deal that he knew he would somewhat loathe, but the male knew that he could not have everything the way he wanted. Nothing went according to the plan, and he knew that this wouldn’t either. It seemed promising, but Dahlia de Mai’s numbers were slowly decreasing. It was a sad thing to witness. They had once counted twenty six members here. Now they were thirteen. More were likely to dwindle away. The chocolate coated male cared little about tossing the blame for around. It would be a waste of energy; energy that he did not really have spare. Yet this was something that he had hungered for. Why he had not played his cards sooner was beyond him.

Time was tickling slowly yet his own fate was staring him in the face. His time was up, tic tack, tic tack, tic tack, he could hear his life ticking away. Brilliant blue orbs lifted to the sky, almost disappointed as they witnessed the bleeding clouds slowly travelling past above his head. Where was the snow? This silent question puzzled the male as the weather was absolutely insignificant. He felt a spike of warmth in his chest and recognized the presence of someone he once had known. Maybe someone he once had been. No, Haku had learned to be lonely. This black heart of his was all he knew.

At the town square where the former Rosea once had lifted her head up to call out for Dahlia’s members, now the new Rosen lifted his head up towards the weeping sky and called out for his members. The surprise had yet to be known – that was what this meeting was for. His call demanded their presence. Things had been sloppy around here for far too long. There were things that needed to be done, and the more the merrier – wasn’t that a common saying?

The brown male stepped back under one of the many hovering trees and waited by the large stone circle, wondering who would obey his call and who would stay behind. He would deal with it one way or the other. He already knew how the world would end.

Oh hai thar! 300+

He felt his heart’s pace quicken for a moment as his sire’s call travelled through the lands of Dahlia de Mai like a gush of a particularly cold wind. The boy knew not of the change that had happened in complete silence. He felt reluctance as he slowly started to draw towards the city square of Dahlia, but this was not a new sensation. His father would always cause negativity to feast and grow strong. It was not rare that it was the Lilium that called out for a gathering with the Rosea ready by his side – still the superior. The boy with the lavender gaze turned it back over his shoulder towards the Caretaker’s cabin, wondering if he would be able to walk together with the latte Koios woman to the meeting. He saw no sign of life – figured that even if she was attenting the meeting she’d rather go alone than to go with him. Sadness brushed through his fur like the feeble touch of a dying lover, but this was his reality and it could not be changed. At least he had tried.

The moment Alexey’s cottage was out of sight the boy sped up significantly – never a fan of being late for a call. Mind traced back and he realized that this would probably be his first proper pack meeting. He dimly remembered a gathering from when he had been very young, but the images were blurry and the atmosphere had been light and cheery. The young male’s whole figure fell when he entered the clearing and Haku Soul was sitting alone under one of the yet to be completely stripped trees. If you couldn’t change it you just had to stand it. The boy’s body spoke of submission as he gave a short nod to the wolf he believed still to be Lilium. Lilac gaze travelled to find a suitable spot – not too far away from his father, but there was no way he would want to sit next to the bastard either.

There was more than enough space, and so he allowed some distance to fall in-between him and his chocolate father. The spot provided little shield from the falling rain, but Conor preferred it that way. He wanted the raindrops to run through his fur; wanted them to mimic the unseen tears of his suffering heart.

Kol had been in the middle of reading a lengthy Shakespearean soliloquy when the call rang out. The unmistakable voice of Dahlia's demonic Lilium pierced the air like a siren. The black lady's ears flicked up as she raised her eyes from the well-worn bindings of Hamlet, and she took care to place it in a safe spot as she rose from the floor of the treehouse with a sigh. Elliot had gone out earlier in the day, to where Kol wasn't even sure, but it was doubtless he'd hear the call as well and meet up with her at the meeting later. Her mind empty for the immediate moment, the violet-eyed woman deftly lowered the ladder to the home she shared with her love and climbed down to the soft forest floor below.

Noting the distance between her home and the circle where most pack gatherings were held, Kol took the time to revert back to her smaller, faster lupine form before heading off toward the call. Her slender legs were set to a ground-eating trot, and it did not take her overly long to arrive. Apparently it was taking others a bit longer, for when she arrived there were only two others present at all. The first was a much bigger version of the scared little puppy Alexey had found after he'd been kidnapped by his own mother and left with some bone-headed stranger who'd let him run off on his own. Conor's handsome form and gentle face were a stark contrast to the visage of his father, and he'd obviously come a very long way since that emotional night when Alexey had finally found him.

The second attendee was the caller himself, the chocolate form of Haku standing imposingly at the head of the meeting space, very obviously without the snowy Rosea by his side. It was altogether possible she'd requested the Lilium to call this meeting ahead of schedule for her, and she would arrive once more of the pack had assembled. Something nagged at the Stormbringer's mind at the thought though, however logical that may indeed prove to be. Things had also changed in the months Kol was away from Dahlia; perhaps Cercelee had come down with some sort of illness. That could even be what this particular meeting would address.

Of course this was all speculation on Kol's part; she would surely find out soon enough. Violet eyes averted respectfully, she formed a submissive bow to her pack's second-in-command, then moved to find a place in the gathering circle comfortable enough for a long meeting, and wide enough for both herself and her flame-eyed lover to occupy, whenever he chose to arrive. From her chosen place across from Conor, she offered the growing boy a soft smile and a dip of her head in greeting. She had no idea if he knew who she was, but it didn't matter. He was a packmate, which made him a friend. He was also her best friend's closest confidante, or so she gathered by the intermingling of their scents around the house the women used to share. And that made him family, at least in Kol's mind.

ooc: making things up is fun! :>
I've got soul but I'm not a soldier

Slay was not happy. He had arrived at his church den to find the air reeking of Haku, and to have his mate stubbornly refuse to tell him what had transpired, only that he need not involve himself. That she was handing the reins over to that bully, that warmonger, that, that, manipulative bastard, when her cold glittering eyes told him that it was not her choice.
She had all but ordered him not to confront the former Lilium. And had it been three years ago, when he was still lean and tough and willing to fight for what he believed in, he would never have acquiesced. But... his mate was expecting. She grew heavier by the day, her body already adjusting to the changes of motherhood. And if Slay did anything to put her at risk, he could lose everything... If something ever happened to his only family, he would have nothing left to live for.

So he found himself slinking towards the call, four paws padding lightly on the muddy ground, black and white fur growing sodden in the pattering rain. His pale eyes glowered as the town square came into view, glaring openly at the brown-furred wolf that had summoned his packmates. He didn't bother to take a seat or call a greeting. He had always been leery of Haku; maybe deep down he could sense the ambition, the power-hungry arrogance that was so similar to his birth pack, the wolves that had abused him and forever damaged his psyche. What would become of his precious Dahlia de Mai, with a lying untrustworthy creature as their figurehead? More war, more disappearances, tyranny.
Slay's white-tipped ear flicked back, a slight twitch twisting his lip upwards for a mere second, before he smoothed his expression stone blank. He could play Cercelee's part for her. The big male stood rigidly on the outskirts of the stone circle, stiff-legged and dripping with rainwater. There would be dissent in Haku's new world. Even if he was the only one.

Bad weather was unmistakably heading her way. She saw the clouds rolling in from afar, thick and low, threatening to unleash their tears upon the world. Her goal had been to reach the cabin just before rainfall but the Lilium had other plans for the pack, regardless of the weather. A meeting held by Dahlia de Mai's very own demon was none too promising. She'd seen what terrible monster lay hidden behind those crystal-blue eyes; a terrible being she did not wish to meet again. Unfortunately, in times like these, when hierarchy overpowered personal preferences, Alexey had no choice but to answer his call. Her pace had been reasonable at first, following a sluggish cadenza, but it grew more urgent as time passed. Haku's intentions were unexposed for the time being, but something about the way he'd beckoned the pack's presence was unnerving. The tone he'd used did not foreshadow good news.

Conor's fresh trail first enticed her nostrils, later followed by another scent she knew all too well. Surprise crossed her facial features for a fleeting second, only to be replaced by slight apprehension. Apparently, their relationship had not survived the obstacles they had been presented with. Kol had come home, and she hadn't made any efforts to visit her brother's former mate. Had their friendship been nothing more than a commodity? Assumptions were temporarily shoved aside as she neared the little gathering. Alexey's efforts doubled as she channeled her energy into her limbs, hoping not to burden her packmates with her late arrival. Hazy black dots materialized into bigger figures, blurry at first, but growing clearer with every step taken. Slay was the closest, his back to her, as she slowed into a steady pace. The tension in his body was striking, even with the inconvenient angle at which she approached.

"Sorry," she mouthed, making her way through the scattered crowd. Golden globes met the Tilia's cold blue gaze as she passed him, expecting a silent answer from her fellow council member, but finding hollowness instead. The Koios femme then turned to Conor, to whom she offered an insecure smile. She halted next to him, seeking his silent approval before taking a seat right next to him. Although they couldn't address important issues right now, Alexey did her best to show him that she would not abandon him. A stiff nod was given to both the Stormbringer femme, by whom she felt betrayed once more, and the crazed Lilium sitting atop his broken throne.

Even in the middle of playing one of her favorite waltzes, Eliza heard the call clearly. The voice was strong, stronger than the sound of her piano, and she knew it was the same chocolate wolf who had first allowed her across the Dahlian borders. He was one of Dahlea de Mai's leaders, she knew; if memory served, he was called Haku.

She was filled with a vague sense of unease at the sound -- though she had thought Haku was quite admirable when she first met him, she had not seen him since, nor most of her pack members. Only briefly had she met any, and most she had weren't even with the pack any longer, so far as she could tell. This would be her first traditional pack meeting, and she was nervous. Having spent so much time alone when she was unused to it had caused her to be anxious about making a bad impression on her packmates, worried they would think her irresponsible and antisocial (though the latter hadn't been far from the truth, recently, at least as far as things looked to an outsider's eye). She set off from her humble abode at a brisk pace, shifting out of Optime to get to the meeting spot more quickly on four legs.

She couldn't put names to the faces she saw scattered around when she arrived, save that of Haku, though she was surprised how few had come so far. To be fair, perhaps their ranks had truly thinned this much, and she hadn't been too terribly far away when the call rang out. She had very little conception of how large they were as a pack; at the largest Dahlia had ever seemed to Eliza, it was microscopic compared to her last pack. She took a hesitant seat near to a rather frighteningly large black and white wolf on the outskirts of the gathering, though she left some space between them. She was too nervous to get any closer than the very edges of the meeting, despite not knowing the big and vaguely unnerving wolf, and she felt horribly, horribly out of place. She had clearly been away for too long.

Briefly, she wondered where Dahlia's other two leaders were. She was uncertain of their ranks relative to Haku, but they didn't seem to be in attendance at all, which was sort of odd. She figured Haku would clear up any confusion once the meeting was fully gathered, though. He just seemed like he would be reliable and trustworthy like that, based on what little interaction she had had with him.

Nothing else would have dragged Tokyo forth but the call of a leader, and she was rather annoyed that such occured. She was not feeling very pretty at the moment. She had spent the last few hours just brushing her fur, trying to do what she could, but.. ugh! She was so fat it was disgusting. If she didn't have the fact that this was temporary to keep her sane, she didn't think she could survive like this. Surely, death was better than ugliness. How did so many people survive so long without being pretty? It was the fate she feared most, that lurked in her nightmares like the boogeymen of puppies. Soon, soon, soon. Two and a half weeks, about, until two months were up and then she could get these goddamn bulky things out of her body. And as much as she hated puppies, she was actually looking forward to their birth and existence because that meant they would finally be out of her way.

But Haku had called. And so she must come, picking her way slowly and awkwardly from her den to the town square, cursing the rain with every plodding step as it splashed mud up on silky fur. She couldn't even shift to make the run faster, not without endangering the lives of her children and (way more importantly) herself. She was too annoyed at the imposition at first to actually contemplate what the meeting was about, but the paltable tension hanging in the air as she approached the group lit fire to her curiousity. Cercelee wasn't there, which honestly Tokyo was fairly happy about. The annoying white leader was the reason her beautiful daughter Princess no longer resided in Dahlia de Mai.

Glancing around the circle of wolves, a thought struck her mind. Did Haku even know he was going to be made a father soon? Probably not.. she really hadn't even seen anyone since she found out herself, which was when she had started to show. When she had started to hide herself in her den. Generally speaking, the space directly nearby Haku was left abandoned. Well and good, she picked her way over and settled down next to him. Presumptuous, maybe. But she was carrying his children, and felt like that entitled her to something. And anyway, there really weren't that many wolves left that were higher rank then her, and Alexey and Slay were keeping their distance. The latter wouldn't even sit. Ohh, what sort of tasty drama was going on here?

I'm still on absence, but this will probably be my only post here, I just wanted to get her in. 300+ words.

#####Pacing beneath the tree she had claimed as her own, Lolita felt herself growing weary with the way her life was becoming. Nothing exciting happened, and all she ever did now was smoke and occassionally meet someone, whether they were in her pack or not. Anselm was a very interesting man, indeed, as was Haku, even if he seemed a bit unfriendly. Rurik was also someone she was interested in meeting with again. Gone from her mind was any memory of her attack on the coyote from Inferni, and as far as she was concerned, it had never happened in the first place. If it were brought up again, she would surely deny any involvement in that at all. As a result, from blocking out negative memories and downplaying the positive, the cream woman was very bored with her life, and it was incredibly frustrating for the flamboyant one. As if it were a response to her very thoughts, the strong call of Haku reached her ears, and a coy smile spread over her muzzle.

#####This was exactly the distraction she needed - a meeting of some sort, for some reason. Striding in the direction of the call, Lolita thought over her meeting with Haku. Perhaps she would be able to meet the third leader of Dahlia de Mai at this meeting, and maybe they would even discuss why Haku was the only one who apparently cared about the danger being imposed on the pack members. She still found it incredible that no one else seemed to care. Lolita had no ties to the pack, truthfully, but she was still bothered by the fact that no one cared. As she reached the growing number of pack members, she took stock of who was there (not many that she knew, but then, she knew very few) before sitting cross-legged on the ground alone. Though she was silent, she was peering around with mild interest in hopes of gleaning some information before it was spoken. So far, she coulkd not guess what this meeting was about, but things did seem tense with some of those that were present. . . Interesting.

They all noticed that something was different. Perhaps off would be a better description. Last time Dahlia had gathered they had been many and the mood had been merry. Did they already know that they were sailing towards the end? He did not wish to believe that, and so he did not. He waited, wasting away with his patience. Eventually most of them arrived. Both Emwe and Mew had fresh traces in the lands, so he brushed them off as absent from the meeting yet still counted them into the pack’s total. Who he missed here was the ivory ex-Rosea and her dark coated guardian. There was aggravation growing within, but the male did not give this away as he eyed the reluctant members of the circle. There was his son, no longer a runt in appearance at least. The returned Stormbringer, a stern, resentful mate of the white leader, Koios, Eliza, and, oh – Tokyo chance’s body had been tossed into growth. He instantly realized what the matter was and cursed her very being silently in his mind. The lovely Lolita was the last to appear.

The male waited, though as the members had appeared he had given each and every one of them a neutral nod, making no difference between friend and foe. Slay’s resentment was expected, and there was nothing he could do about it. Cercelee had brought this upon herself when she had refused to act as the leader she should be. It would be better this way. Possibly better for Dahlia as whole, definitely better for Haku Soul in person. He revelled at the additional power on his lonely throne. Cercelee was still technically a leader, but she held little to no authority any longer. She was not needed – it would just help smoothen out the switch with the pack before she was to be removed completely. He did not expect much cooperation from her at all, so she would prove her uselessness well enough on her own. She did just that as she glittered with her absence. He would have to talk with Lillith about this little slip. This was the meeting where he would have needed her most.

Unsure if it was possible to turn this into his favour, he would just go ahead and announce the changes and deal with the issues and questions as they rose. ”Thank you for showing up on such a short notice. There’s been some changes the latest days that deserve some attention.” A last glance was thrown around in pursuit of Cercelee’s small frame before he continued. ”Metal jaws and dead animals have started showing up at Dahlian borders. The leadership has every reason to believe that we are being threatened by an unknown enemy. Unfortunately we have been unable to find who is responsible for these deeds as of yet.” So much time used on tracking the borders, but the metal jaws and the dead animals kept appearing. It was especially dangerous now when snow was beginning to fall. Traps turned invisible, resting under the snow waiting for juicy limbs that could be snapped in half.

”Therefore, to better deal with these issues, Cercelee, our Rosea, has decided to step down as head of the pack to take the role previously held by Cwmfen nic Graine, Adonis of Dahlia. That leaves me in charge and I assure you that I will do my very best to keep you safe from whoever it is that is threatening Dahlia de Mai.” Hopefully things would be done to rid Dahlia of this annoyance sooner, for Haku was certain that this would only be the beginning. Haku was not a man of many words, and whenever he attempted to be he felt utterly ridiculous. Of course none of this was revealed to the crowd. He was full of confidence, for he was walking his own path and it was possible that they would have to be a part of it for a little while. There was nothing more to say. If they had questions then he was certain they would be asked, else this was all there was. This announcement and none of that silly little chit chatting that Cercelee had been so fond of.

slightly M for a curse word or two.

.......

The call just barely roused the girl. Few things could, after the night she'd had in the city. The last time that she'd gone out she had met an odd Soul, Daisuke, and had nearly died by the end of the night (and would have, without Hemming's help), so she'd kept on the lookout for him. After she had fallen and become impaled on that sharp piece of wood, knocked out, he'd gone and run off! Ohhh man would he be sorry the next time she laid her eyes on him.

That is, once everything was fully healed. The wound had become seriously infected over the last month, keeping the female confined to the den for the most part. Only now was it really beginning to heal, a large puckered sore just to the side of her collarbone.

Her head throbbed when she rolled over and she let out a moan. Was that a howl she'd heard? Who the heck would be howling at this hour of the day? She frowned even deeper as she got to her feet, poking her head outside of the den. She would be late, at the rate she could travel...but whatever. He couldn't expect everyone to just come running. And if he bitched at her then she'd blame it on her injury.

The medium-sized luperci approached the group just as Haku began to speak, choosing to stand behind Tokyo. She wanted to sit down, feeling lightheaded, but remained standing. She had heard of the traps that he spoke of, but she didn't know who would have put them out there. The coyotes? Whoever it was, she felt pretty sure that they could exclude one group from the investigation. "I don't think it was those Aniwayans. I know a bunch of them featherheads...they're pretty cool. Fixed me up when I got hurt. Dunno about the other packs. We had any trouble with those packs lately? Or those coyotes?"

Mew was indifferent to a lot of things lately, and when her brother called out to her she did not know how to react. His behavior last she had seen him had put her off, as if something about him was not the same, that he had changed without her knowing, and in a negative direction. Perhaps it was because of Firefly, for she still believed him to be just a normal being with emotions like anyone else. Perhaps the breakup with his cousin had torn his heart to shreds - what could she know? She had never thought to ask, and he had never told her. Still, she knew her duties, and she dragged her weary body towards the regular meeting-place of the pack. For a moment she thought it strange that it was Haku that called, and not Cercelee, but remembered that Cer was heavy with children. It was a time to avoid too much strain, certainly, and she gave it no more thought.

The two that followed her were old enough to run around by themselves now, and sometimes they did, but they kept mostly to her side. Dexter was most keen on adventure of the two, but it seemed to Mew that Vesle was just smitten with her mother, and refused to leave her side. Every night the little grey furball would complain and complain until she was allowed her favourite sleeping place: on her side along her mother's tummy. While the other pups also still sought their mother's presence and sometimes rested with her, they often also slept on their own, though inside the house. Keeleigh was the one who spent the most time away from the single parent. It was the process of leaving their mother, probably, and Mew was not sure whether it broke her heart or not. The trio's process through vegetation and across old human streets was slow as the two pups poked their noses here and there, and once she finally came to the meeting-place the discussion was just about to start. Bending her neck she quickly told the children what would happen and that they should stay silent and be good, so that Haku would not be angry at them. After all his take on her little family was somewhat... unexpected. Making their way closer to the clearing she picked up her brother's words before she reached them all, and the three snuck in while Addison was talking, nodding to the members she knew and smiling at the ones she did not yet know the names of. They could probably mingle later, and she could pick up their names then. Not knowing anything about what he was speaking of, Mew simply sat and said nothing. The family did not travel outside Dahlia de Mai, and so she had not been close enough to the borders in a long time to notice any of these dangerous devices. Her eyes searched for Cercelee but, as she had expected, she was not there. Perhaps she had stepped down in order to take care of her family or something similar to this. It wouldn't be unlikely, Mew thought, content, and sat back on her hind legs, children in front, waiting for the meeting to pass and more interesting information to reach her.

SSWM 454

Alexey appeared like the angel she was, and it was hard to not let the pain take visible paths as he let her sit down next to him. The sensation was bittersweet, but he found calm with more ease in her presence. Tongue lazily rubbed against his lower row of teeth as a few more pack members appeared. Lilac eyes gained more focus as time went on and the Rosea glittered with her absence. Ears folded backwards in the miserable weather and he predicted something horrible. His eyes stayed on the form of the Lilium and nothing else. When his father spoke up without the presence of the ivory leader, the boy knew that all was lost. He was confused, because he had trusted her despite the odd settlement with Haku Soul as her second in command. Now he was about to be betrayed again and his lavender eyes widened as the fresh news were served from what seemed to be their new Alpha. Haku, their Rosen. Haku, the leader of Dahlia de Mai. No. Jaws pressed together so hard it hurt. How could Cercelee allow this to happen? He did not believe it. Where was she? What had he done to her?

Perhaps the young male’s emotions showed for a moment, but managed to get a hold of his unhappiness. He patiently waited and listened to everything his father had to say in the shortened speech. He could only wonder where Cercelee was and why she was not here to prevent all of this. His gaze switched too Slay with silent plead in his voice. What was wrong, where was their rightful leader? Cwmfen nic Graine had left them behind. Would Cercelee do the same? How could she possibly let Haku take over the reigns? No, it was so very wrong. Conor did not want to join the discussion about Dahlia’s safety. With his father on the throne this pack would be doomed. The young Soul male was well aware of that his emotions were clouding his thoughts severely, but this was not grand news in any way. Haku had terrorized him when he had been a mere child. If it had not been for Alexey then he know now what kind of horribly ruined creature he would have been today.

When his father’s electric blue gaze fell on his son again, Conor managed to toss in a deep bow with his head before the leader’s gaze left him as Addison spoke up. This was over for his sake. He did not want to be here anymore. He turned away and left the gathered group of what seemed to be the current Dahlia. He was afraid for the future.

SSWM 469

The group remained silent and a few left without anything to say. He did not mind the absence of questions. He had halfway expected complaints to rise because of the level of change announced without their former Alpha present. The plan had of course been to have her here, but she had left her pack behind a long time ago. How could they have more trust in her than him? She was all they know, but he had been the one acting in her place for a long time now. His thoughts swelled in silent disgust of the weakling of a woman that had been Dahlia’s leader for so long – she who had meant that he was unable to do his duties anymore., hah.His blue gaze found Conor and prolonged its stay there to watch the boy nod to his new leader and flee the scene. It was impossible to make everyone happy. He wondered how much Slay understood of what had happened.

Addison’s voice rose lonely in the crowd and his attention drifted to the young woman. He nodded as she spoke, agreeing fully with what she said. Of course there was no reason to suspect the peace loving group of wolves. There had been little to no issues with the other packs lately, though he would not fully let Cour de Miracles get away without a mention to lessen their liability. ”We have had issues with Cour de Miracles in the past when Svara Thames was let loose to bring her wicked ideas to life.” the man replied, eyes glowing with darkness as he spoke the words. Svara had been here in the past wearing lavender as she tried to remark the borders with her own scent. Why? Only to encourage Haku to go for her throat once again. They were a pack of idiotic mutts without the ability to judge character. Perhaps same could be said about Dahlia. After all, he had been the sub-leader here for a long time without facing demotion.

He did not believe they owned the criminal that was creating fear by the borders. ”It may be Inferni.” he spoke out bluntly. Gabriel’s hate would never die. He knew this. ”but as for now we do not know, but we’ll keep an eye open. I’ll assign a few extra wolves for border patrol for now. However, if you find the human bear traps, do no longer deactivate them. Instead, try to subtly mark them with a sign for Dahlians to know. I fear this is only the beginning and if the clan seeks conflict again then we will show them that these things have consequences.” Dahlia would lie down for no-one. Not as long as the members were willing to fight for their home and safety.

#####Jade eyes travelled between those that had gathered there, but there were only two familiar faces, those of Haku and Eliza. It was very sad that she knew so few of her pack mates, but the only other one that she knew, Cmwfen, was not present. From Haku’s words, however, Lolita could only assume that the black and blue woman had left the pack, if she was no longer holding her rank. It was unfortunate, as Lolita had found her very interesting, but it only seemed to go along with what Haku had said about being the only one who cared about the dangers being posed by an unknown force on the wolves of Dahlia. She couldn’t help but notice that no one else seemed to hold themselves of rank, which could only lead her to believe that the Rosea was not present. This thought was only magnified by what Haku had to say about the change in leadership. She was glad to know that Haku was finally doing something about the threats being left for them. He had seemed disheartened when they had met over the headless corpse, and it reassured her to know that something was being done. It seemed that he could be trusted.

#####As others arrived and the discussion turned to who it might be that was leaving the traps and dead animals, Lolita was surprised to hear that some seemed to think that it might be Inferni. This surprised her, as she had not thought there to be any problems between the pack and clan. Of the three that she had met from the clan, the cream colored woman had gotten mixed signals. She had enjoyed her conversation with Kaena, and Anselm was definitely pretty cool, but her encounter with Snake had certainly not been a good one. Overall, however, she could not say she had any prejudice against the coyotes. It was probably a wolf-coyote thing, and since she was mostly made up of dog breeds, then that would explain why she did not immediately jump to the same conclusion as some of the others. As they discussed who it might be, Lolita surveyed those present again, trying to decipher why some seemed very grim at what Haku had to say. Yes, it was unfortunate that they were being threatened, but at least they now had a leader that was willing to make an effort to help them and stop the potential dangers.
