Silas may or may not be a member of Inferni at this time, so I'm going to be ambiguous about it until I know for sure. :3

A front was moving in and it was clearly noticeable. The skies which had been partly broken up with rays of sun had begun to grey over with thick, rolling clouds. This surely meant snow was on its way, as the temperature was hovering right around freezing. Especially now, as the sun had begun its decent towards the horizon, the temperature would surely decline a few degrees. Yup, snow was surely on its way.

The Russian had maneuvered his way up an oak tree that had long since lost its leaves. There was a few that had somehow managed to cling on for this long, but they had long since lost their color. Silas plucked one from its branch and let it drift down towards the ground below. He wasn’t too far up yet, but he wasn’t finished climbing. By the time he reached those branches above his head, he’d be able to look out over a great span of Inferni’s southern borders.

One hand over the other, Silas managed to pull himself halfway up the tree. He stopped and rested on a fork of branches, letting his legs dangles over the sides. The bandana had been tied around his forehead again, leaving bare its usual place around his neck. The black vest also adorned his torso, though the buttons were left unfastened and the fabric left to hang. Silas, though relaxed at the moment, had a certain person in mind as he looked out over the area that stretched below him. His fingers tenderly tapped at the healing wounds along his face as he remembered his encounter-gone-wrong from a few days prior.

She hoped she would be able to find the deceased intruder’s skull before the snow started to scatter down from above. Her brief fascination for the white matter had quickly fallen flat and it had turned out that this whole snow and winter thing was a big box of bullshit. She was quite sure the lovely birds had picked the wolf’s head somewhat clean by now. Full moons had passed since the wolfen rogue had been taken down by the furious mass of Inferni. She had taken his life and so it was her right to scavenge the remaining pieces for whatever she may wish to keep. She wanted one of his teeth. Her necklace wouldn’t be complete without a second tooth on it. One belonged to Charon – an odd and disturbing choice. Halo was more aware of this than anyone, but she could not undo what had happened. If she twisted her thoughts to truly convert all the negativity then she could determine that it had been a lesson. Mental wounds did not vanish with time, but distance did smooth them out a fair bit.

The hybrid woman had started with the eastern part of the borders and was now walking further west until she was forced to turn west to follow the clan-borders. Her twin-sword rested weightlessly in its sheath attached to her back. The Lykoi was so used to it now that the weight was a natural part of her. Firm and flexible muscles dealt with the additional weight with ease. The girl was in top shape and this thanks to Samael and his cruelty. The girl’s daily workouts had done her good. The girl was well on her way past the tree when she realized that there was someone in it. Face turned to get this realization confirmed, and a synchronized twitch touched her muzzle and left ear as she realized it was a canine – a stranger. For now there was surprise, for this was not something she had expected to see.

Hehe. Big Grin

For now, the Hydra that Silas hoped not to encounter again soon was nowhere in sight. He felt his chest ease up a bit, glad that his perch gave him a slight advantage over those that remained below. Hybrid had managed to inflict a few good wounds on the Russian, and he could only hope that they’d heal without any proof of what had occurred. After all, the boy didn’t really want to have to carry around a constant reminder of his juvenile foolishness. But for now, he’d only have to wait. They were still in the process of healing and only time would tell whether or not the skin underneath would scar.

Leaning forward, Silas rested his chest against the rough surface of the branch, letting his icy gaze study the ground below him. He saw the approaching Hydra long before she had realized the Russian was there, and he simply grinned to himself mischievously as she walked right past the oak tree. She turned to face him suddenly and the boy noticed her crimson gaze – almost identical to Hybrid’s. He wouldn’t be surprised if they were related somehow, unfortunately. She was pretty – it’d be a pity if she had that some blood in her veins. "Eet’s going to snow," he informed her, as if she hadn’t noticed the overcast skies herself.

Oh it was an effort to decide whether to put on the cape of flaming rage or not. Rage seemed always to be the first choice whenever an unexpected event cast itself into her path. It was not as uncontrollable as before – the endless workouts seemed to have positive affects on her mood, strangely – yet it still stung her chest with a thousand knives. The male in the tree had obviously noticed her long before her ruby orbs had found him and recognized him for an actual creature and not some temporary fragment of a daydream. Solid ice competed with the lightest hue of blue in his eyes. Before she had determined her own mood the young male had already let his voice enter the air, filling the empty space in-between them. It was a simple piece of information. It was going to snow.

For a moment the girl could only stare up at him. Then, a warm smile broke into full bloom as she realized that she found his simple piece of fact funny. What a strange way to engage a conversation, and of course he had to sit in a tree just to make the scene a little bit more peculiar. His scent spoke of no wolfen pack and she allowed her body to relax. After all, she had a sword and he did not. She won. Her smile was replaced by a small ‘o’ and her eyes narrowed in pretended thought. ”Must I find a tree as well, then?” she wondered with a light voice touched by fake concern. There had to be a reason why he was sitting up there in his lonely castle.

After speaking, Silas watched the girl’s face searching for an expression that would clue him in to how she was feeling. He was relieved when a smile played on her features, and he felt reassured that this encounter would be no repeat of his last rally with a Hydra. With an ease falling over his frame, Silas found himself studying her appearance. He went past those ruby eyes that had at first grabbed his attention, and found himself studying her darkly colored hair. At first he thought it might be black like his own, but upon further inspection seemed to think there was a reddish tint to it. Either way it was pretty, and he found her hairstyle – long and framing her face in the front, while short and choppy in the back – rather intriguing. Even though he didn’t know her, he thought that somehow it fit her.

"Vell," Silas chimed, leaning back on the branch he perched himself upon. His features contorted for the slightest moment as he winced, surprised at the slight pulse of pain that surged through his wounds. "Eef you ask nicely, I might share mine vith you," and that familiar Cheshire grin found its way to Silas’s features again.

His eyes were on her. Ears seemed to fall back a bit – though there was no apparent emotion behind this minimalistic move. She wondered what the hell a guy was doing up in a tree by the borders. She had not seen the male before, though made time to guess that they were approximately the same age. That would open up for some entertainment. Halo had found fun in playing males, though the majority of them had been years older than her. She knew that her looks were to her advantage, but after she had come to these lands not everyone seemed to react as effectively when she wanted to play. After Charon and Samael the girl had refrained from falling back into old habits. She had grown up and realized the huge risk that she had been completely unaware of. It was strange how her mind seemed to have changed lately when Samael had shook her entire world.

The girl was not unaware of the twitch of pain that shortly visited the young male’s face, but she brushed it away instantly as insignificant, for it was gone the moment after. He decided to be helpful if she could only find the right words and ask him the right way. The girl slowly folded her hands behind her fit frame and broke away from their eye-contact. Her face fell slightly, though that little smile of hers was still apparent – revealing that she was intrigued by this canine. Obviously she had to do as she said, because this was a fine tree that he had found. Ruby eyes found his form again as her dark copper tail moved elegantly behind her. ”Oh, would you please share your tree with me,..” it would have fitted to toss in a nickname made on impulse, but she could not immediately think of any that she would know with certainty would fit him. ”What would my potential rescuer like to be called?”

It had been some time since the Russian had last come in contact with a female close to his age. This made things a lot more interesting, because it wasn’t just Liliya whom Silas was teasing and pulling along with him. Back home in Russia there had been others Silas’ age, but he had also been much younger then. Now that it was past his first birthday, the young Russian was finally coming into himself and his sexuality. In Russia, he had merely been a lanky, awkward youth.

He grinned down at the girl below him, readjusting his position on the branch as she found the words she’d wanted to say. When she asked if she could join him, Silas felt a surge of excitement. "Mine name ees Silas," he informed her, carefully gripping onto the branches with both palms. He climbed down the tree some so that he could be closer to where she stood. Once Silas had made it closer to the bottom, he extended a hand. "And vhat ees a pretty girl like you called?" He intended to help lift her up if she was serious about joining him. He didn’t see any harm in it, and in fact could already picture to two of them lounging high in the branches and talking about whatever came to mind.

She was almost disappointed when he did not come up with a vulgar nickname for her to use. Some males had taken their first introductions out all the way and served her the oddest names and stories. Perhaps simplicity was the thing. Her body did not carry out heavy intention of play – at least not anywhere near how overly sweet she had attempted to come off as in the past. She was unable to work her magic in these games anymore, as she knew too well the direction it went into. She had been aware of this in the past as, obviously, but she had believed in control and fun. No one of the tempted males had ever managed to hurt her, and then of all the people it could have been it was an uncle outside of her silly games that had done the deed.

Ruby eyes revealed no fear now, because this was not her uncle. It was a stranger for certain, but he was young as she and the girl was positive she would not be attacked on her own clanlands. She watched the boy as he climbed down a few branches and was rather pleased with his manners when she realized that he intended to give her a helping hand. A stranger gentleman then – how intriguing! His heavy odd accent sounded harsher than the general accents from around here, but she found it refreshing. Perhaps it could give her the illusion of a single serving friend where she could get away with pretending once again. It would just be the illusion of it, but that was enough. Her hand rose to find his, for she was positive that her dead wolf’s head would be there later on resting on its stick, though made even harder to find because it would turn brilliantly white with snow like everything else.

Although she loathed her name because of her mother’s desperation to help her choose the righter path in life, she would be kind enough to give it to him. ”Halo,” her soft reply sounded as she did a little tilt of her head and looked into the eyes that reminded her so of ice; cool and comforting.

Her hand rose and found Silas’ and the youth offered a small grin. He had been a member within the clan’s land for only a few days, and he was glad he was getting to know a few of the faces around here. After all, his first encounter with a Hydra had not gone over very smoothly. The wounds on his face were still fresh, and where scars would eventually form, dried blood marked healing skin. "Halo," he repeated, testing the name out for himself. He tried to leave his accent behind in saying it, as it had come out so simply on her lips. He liked it. It seemed to fit her somehow.

"Eet ees very pretty name." He told her, pulling now to give her some leverage and boost her into the tree. His other hand went out to her side in caution, just in case she lost her footing or needed further assistance. When she settled into the branches though, Silas let his hands fall away and beamed a smile towards her. "Eet is very deefferent up ‘ere. You can see very far avay!" Reaching his arms above him, Silas gripped onto another branch and pulled himself higher in the tree. A brush of a few fingers sent strands of black hair back away from his icy eyes and re-exposed the blue bandana. Its usual place around his neck was bare. "I can even see zhe mansion."

His hand was soft and warm and she knew he was not dangerous. Her ruby eyes danced away from his face. Ears swivelled backwards shyly and smiled as he repeated her name. She couldn’t chase the smile away when he complimented it. She wondered if he was being sincere or just being polite. It would not make a difference whether or not. She felt her muscles tense when his hand went out to her side, but realized immediately that she had overreacted. Her crimson glance started to trail towards his ice hued eyes, though was distracted at the three red lines on his cheek. Just as she had gently touched Kaena’s face she felt an urge to touch his. Unlike back then she held back. Although she could easily have hoisted herself up by her arms on her own, she let him pull her up. She grabbed hold of the solid branches and their hands disconnected. He commented on the view and started to climb up to his previous spot. The young hybrid realized that he was right, yes, she could see quite far. It was no revelation, but she liked to see the wintery landscape from a higher point of view.

Ears pointed when he pointed out that he saw the mansion and she turned her face upwards to glance at him with her twinkling rubies. ”Do you see the window in the center; second floor?” She turned to look at the distant building as well. ”That’s where I live.” She let her fingers push away a few strands of silky hair and started to move upwards in the tree so that she would not have to kill her neck whenever she looked at him. It was actually her first time climbing in the tree, but she did not encounter any troubles. She knew she was acting way out of character and pondered whether or not she would suffer from this later on. Her mind was so unstable that it was hard to anticipate anything. A touch of her constant sadness remained on her features, but her delicate face still smiled despite the injuries she carried within. ”I’ve never been in a tree with a stranger before.” Such foolish words. ”I like the improved view.” she continued, trying to force her thoughts over in better directions. ”Your tree is a good tree.” Definitely.

The blue gaze fell upon the distant mansion as the boy studied the blurred appearance. He had yet to travel inside and had all but kept his distance from it yet, but Halo’s words about it made him think otherwise. He tried to locate the window she spoke of, and when he was sure he had the right one, smiled to himself. Maybe the mansion would be worth checking out after all. The Russian’s eyes hesitated on the building, until the rustle of movement below sent both ears swiveling and his chin pulling downward. He watched Halo as she seemed to move effortlessly higher into the tree’s branches, coming to a rest only once she had made it a similar height to what Silas had climbed.

"Vell, ve aren’t strangers now, yah?" His grin broadened when she complimented the tree. "Ahh, yes, zhis tree ees a good one." Silas patted one of the branches as if the tree were some sort of companion in need of some positive reinforcement. "And zhe view ees vonderful. You live zhere?" His gaze traveled to the mansion as he began to conjure up images of Halo’s room. At first, he pictured the motel room back in Halifax. Perhaps the girl next to him also had two matching beds and ugly, peeling wall paper decorating the walls. The Russian flag hanging in his room, of course, would be absent. But perhaps Halo had added her own personal touches. "Do you like eet? Living zhere?" He had yet to establish a permanent place to sleep within the clan’s borders. Somehow, the motel still felt more like home.

His icy blue gaze stole glances at her, and he wondered only slightly if she had noticed. But Silas couldn't help himself, as Halo was a very beautiful girl and the boy seemed to have found a deep appreciation for the red ruby color of her eyes. They were so intoxicating, and the Russian found himself gazing into them whenever he had the chance. Still, he needed to keep his actions discreet, and hoped the Hydra hadn't caught on to his inevitable attraction.

Had she not been used to stare out of the dusted glass of the window of her bedroom every day, the distance between her and the ground would have been intimidating. Instead it gave her a sense of freedom. She thought of the birds and wished she too could have had wings to let her explore the sky. Although she had always believed she was a very social being, the months in this clan proved that she was not truly who she had thought she was. Her rubies were lost in the distance, though it was not because she found her companion dull. She felt unusually comfortable taken into consideration that she was in the presence of another. Strangers no more; he was right. She looked to him and simply had to copy his widening grin.

She was pleased to see he was taking her approving words about his tree the right way; understanding the silent, vague hint of humour she had offered. It was rare for her to get along with others – at least immediately. She wondered what caused the atmosphere to lack the usual tension that always seemed so ready to invade her calm. Oversized ears perked and listened to his accented words. It was hard, almost like Cotl’s accent was hard, but it was different. She already knew which one she preferred. Height greatly improved the view and she could only agree with him. Her eyes stayed on his face though – studying the slightly foreign traits found in his face and marvelling at the strange harmony by the colour contrasts that outlined his face.

Her eyes fled from his features a moment too late as she replayed his words and realized that he had asked her a question. ”Yes, I do.” she replied softly, not allowing her mind to flutter like it wished to. He asked more about her home and how it was and she found not a trace of the usual resentment in her system that usually arrived when people she did not know well started to ask her about things. She allowed a swift moment of silence pass as she thought about it. ”Yeah.” She could easily have let it be with that lonely word, but she thought he deserved a more filling answer. ”I’ve lived there for about half a year now, but in the beginning it was very lonely. I was the only one living there until recently; a member named Cotl moved in a few weeks ago,” and it still somewhat felt like her privacy had been invaded. A bit.

She wondered where Silas lived. The scent of Inferni was not strong at all on his fur, but she took the chance to assume that he was a fresh clan member. ”Where do you live?” She asked, looking back to the boy and smiling. The mansion had enough of space and her home had already been invaded. Her thoughts wanted to continue toward their conclusion of subtle wishes already apparent within her, but she pushed them away and moved on to something else too that had been on her mind for a little while now since she had first seen the boy’s face. ”I don’t mean to pry, but what happened to your face?” They seemed fresh enough and maybe the girl wanted a reason to wave her sharp sword in someone’s face. She was one of Inferni’s Hydras after all and it was her job to put others in place by using violence.

A slight breeze caught the pair in the tree, and Silas could feel the branches sway only slightly. It didn’t worry the Russian at all, however, and he instead found himself looking back towards the mansion as Halo first spoke. He found her voice comforting, almost as if Lily was by his side. Though of course Halo wasn’t Silas’ sister and there were innate feelings present that wouldn’t otherwise be apparent had the other Russo child been in the tree with him. Only one other member lived in the mansion? The thought surprised Silas a bit, but then again he figured things were different here than in Russia. The Sobirat'sya clan had all lived in a compound of sorts, so it was only natural for Silas to know the life of living indoors. Still, that wasn’t to say he hadn’t spent nights under the stars. Both on their ship and now, Silas had got plenty used to the blanket of twinkling lights overhead.

The boy offered a shrug, though a smile was not lost from his features. "Ahh, novhere yet. Mine family lives een Halifax. Since I join ‘ere, I ‘ave not found a place to live just yet." He leaned forwards in the branches, clutching effortlessly at the bark to keep him from falling. "Maybe I sleep zhere tonight," he said with a chuckle, gesturing to the ground below the tree. When he did find a place to slumber, it was often somewhere tucked away. On the boat, Silas could sleep out in the open on the deck without much fear. Here, however, Silas always had to keep one eye open. He was a member now, yes, but that didn’t dismiss Silas’ worry of the other Hydra wondering upon him alone. If that ever happened, Silas would need to be prepared for whatever could take place. He was sure Hybrid would be less than civil upon finding the Russian alone.

Her eyes danced over his features for the slightest second as Silas turned towards Halo. He raised a hand to his face, tapping gently at the wounds still fresh from his encounter not long ago. "Ahh, no vorries. Just Hybrid," his fingers fell away from his face and Silas waved his hand dismissively. It was nothing he really wanted to get into detail about, and his wounds were nothing to worry about. The Russian was confident they’d heal on their own with time.

Just as he had predicted before, the cloudy skies above them seemed to want a bit of change. Now soft tufts of white were drifting down towards the duo in the tree in attempts to blanket Inferni in a fresh coat of white. The Russian smiled, thinking then of home. After all, Russia would be covered in snow this time of year. "Zhe snow ees back," he chimed, raising his icy blue gaze towards the sky. He tried to pinpoint the origin of it all – where exactly in the sky the snow was released from the clouds. But all he could see was the snow falling from a backdrop of light grey sky.

Nowhere was no good. She found it odd when his gentle voice told of a family in Halifax. Why would he leave his family behind to live here? She had family elsewhere as well, but the one she had chosen to stick with was what made Inferni what it was. She had found a home here with individuals that loved and appreciated her. She had also found horror and cruelty, but she had learned that the world was a cruel place. Her eyes took in his gesture and then dropped to the ground below them. Ears swivelled back in quiet distaste. There was a wide range of accommodations throughout the Inferni territory. The caves seemed to be where most of the clan members stayed, but the mansion was a valid option too. It sort of made her sad to think of him sleeping on the cold, snowy ground, but she figured he was not overly serious as he said this. She gave a little snort in response to those words, though nothing more.

When the guilty name was spoken out, the girl’s ruby eyes narrowed significantly as distaste washed over her. She wanted to ask why and dig out information, but the dismissive gesture of his hand made her lips stay sealed. The muscles in her jaws tightened visibly, but she kept her mouth shut instead of letting out a few words that usually would have found their way into existence had it not been for the fact that she was sitting in his tree and had to behave in order to keep her spot. As his accented words sounded again the topic seemed to be completely abandoned. Her warm gaze stayed on his ice coloured eyes for a moment before she too looked up into the sky that was shedding its frozen rain. It was certainly beautiful. Her eyes fell though and she looked absently into the distance, touched by a light melancholy. It seemed so pure and gentle, the soft matter that melted when it was touched by something with a pulse.

She wished she could appreciate such things better, but she was a cruel being just like her uncle Samael. She wondered if that terrible gap within her would ever be healed. She had her family and she had her home, but happiness was not present. She did not understand her own existence. The snow flakes came to earth to die, at least that was better than to drift aimlessly around. Silence was not supposed to exist while she was accompanied by another, but the girl was not nearly as confident as she once had been, and so she went ahead and acknowledged what he had said some moments earlier. "Yes, it's back."

For a moment, the Russian watched as the small flakes swirled slowly towards the ground. An outstretched hand caught a few flakes and the icy gaze focused as they melted into his padded palm. The ground was cold enough this time of year that it would most likely stick, giving the entire territory an ethereal feel. Silas turned to Halo then, as her soft voice finally sounded. Though she had been playful enough to climb in the tree and talk with him, the boy felt as if he could feel something else there. Somehow, the Hydra seemed to somber.

"Vhat ees et?" Grasping the branches, Silas turned in the tree to face Halo, trying to study her further to reveal what it was that was going through her mind. "Pretty girl like you mustn’t be sad." As he sat there, Silas had the sudden urge to reach out and stroke her coppery hair, but refrained and instead found himself focusing on those brilliant ruby eyes that had drifted away from his face.

This was nature’s beauty surrounding them, and the young hybrid woman wondered how often she actually took time to appreciate the simple joy of being surrounded by it. She spent long hours staring at both rain and snow dancing down outside her window, but when did she actually take the time to appreciate? She was too busy with her self pity and nourishing her youthful arrogance. There was less of it that he had been – much less, in fact – but she was still a selfish and cruel creature, and the only reason why she suddenly had gained a wider perspective was because a crime had been committed and it had affected her.

Her absent gaze instantly sharpened as his question took her by complete surprise. For a moment she wondered what Silas meant, because no one before had thought to ask her what was up. This male did not even know her, while Kaena and Gabriel did, both as superiors, friends and family. She hesitated for some moments, wondering how to react to his observation. She studied his cold yes, but found only warmth in those icy hues. She did not like that; did not like the fact that she for even a moment considered giving in. ”Don’t be silly,” the girl’s soft voice teased, gaining a little strength to insert confidence into her words. ”I was thinking about the snow and how it soon will be gone when spring comes. It’s a bit sad; I like this season.” Her copper and cream coat seemed to be designed for cold weather, and she appreciated the odd tranquility that fell over the world along with the cold white matter.

Her smile reappeared now, seemed honest enough as it spread across her dark lips. ”And if there’s no snow then I will probably have to come up with another excuse for using your tree.” Her light cream cheeks seemed to blush then and her ruby gaze wandered away again.

It seemed for a moment as if Halo had to choose her words, and Silas waited for only an instant while she decided. The first thing to leave her maw, however, took the Russian by surprise. A blackened ear fell slightly towards his head, signaling his confusion by misreading her emotions. He thought for sure something was on her mind, but he supposed he couldn’t know since she was just an acquaintance. "Yes, zhe snow makes me zhink of mine homeland. Russia has much snow." But then again, spring couldn’t be all that bad here. Silas was looking a bit forward to the warmer months when he would get the opportunity to survey the surrounding area without the cover of snowfall. Of course, he had arrived before the winter had really taken a firm grasp of the area, but to see everything with new life teeming – he knew it would be wonderful.

The icy gaze traveled back to Halo then as her soft voice sounded. He found himself grinning at her words but reassured her, "I can share eet. Eef you promise to take good care of eet." He patted a branch with one clawed hand, as if gesturing the tree had done well, before letting his gaze wander back out over the lands of Inferni. "Vhat do you do ‘ere?" He asked, curious to know a little bit more about Halo and Inferni at the same time. "Do you ‘ave a speceefic job here?" If he knew more about her, perhaps it would make it easier to find her again amongst Inferni's clan lands.

He was confused and her mind grinded uselessly with disappointment; wondering exactly how hard she had failed at hiding the hurt that had leaked out into her features for that short moment. He let it be however, drifting along with her words and adding his own. Copper hued ears flickered forward as he mentioned his homelands. She tried to imagine the land he had come from, but the result was a mental image quite similar to a snow coated ‘Souls land. She had not travelled much in her life. Her longest trek had been from the north and down south until she had found her kin. She did not know Russia, but his accent revealed a different language originated far away from here. She wondered if Cotl and his brother’s homeland were close to Silas’.

She smiled when he was willing to share his tree. Her gaze settled on his face again when he came with his questions. She saw no harm in boasting about her rank and responsibilities. Her rank was amongst the highest and she found pride in her title. Halo liked the thought of being a protector; a warrior of Inferni. Her dreams had turned out to be emptier than she would have liked, but she continued the chase nevertheless. What else was there to do? ”I am one of the Hydras of the clan; a warrior.” her voice was proud, but not overly so. Normally she did not care all too much about how she came off to others, but the thought of Silas thinking of her as an arrogant snot was not that appealing, she found. ”If anyone bothers you, let me know and I’ll cut of their head,” she offered merrily.

A warrior. He let his icy gaze wash over her, looking at her now in a new light. She was young, agile… beautiful. Not entirely what he would have expected from a warrior, but now he could see it. She had that way about her that made Silas think that Halo was capable of fending for herself in any situation. Why not protect Inferni as well? "Ahh, Hydra," he responded, musing for a moment. His other favorite person in Inferni was also a Hydra. How wonderful. A quick swipe of fingers over his muzzle reassured him of that fact.

Her words registered and Silas turned again to look at Halo, a smile creeping over his features again as he chuckled. "Vell, good to know. No messing vith you, eh?" He wondered what his role would be amongst the clan once he found his way and settled in. Up to now, Silas wasn’t much of a warrior, but that wasn’t to say he couldn’t handle himself. Life on the ocean and working with the ships at home had built the boy rugged. His hand at weapons, however, had yet to be tested. Maybe he would be used for other things, such as reconnaissance. Time would tell, he supposed.

A warrior was what she wanted to be, but she was not certain if that was what she truly was. Not just yet. To think she was one was one thing, but she had yet to gain the title of a war hero or gained experience of any kind when the situation was real. Did he recognize the title? Ruby orbs peered at the boy with the ebon hair and she thought he did. The hybrid did not think he could use it against her in any way. Halo was no hybrid, and she had little to do with the older Hydra anyway. She nodded softly and wished she could have thought up something clever or useful to say about the warrior rank and Hybrid, but her mind left her blank when she seemed to need it most.

She titled her head and let her gaze turn slightly absent as she too silently wondered where Silas’ rank would be. It could be anything; for she knew nothing about him other than that he had a cool, comfortable gaze and a personality that intrigued her. Was it because of the accent and the fact that he was sitting in a tree? Was it because he had been so elegant with the starting conversation when she had first spotted him there in the tree and believed him to be retarded? Was it his face? She could guess many things, but she could not really answer the question she wanted answered. ”No messing with me, no,” she told him and let a light chuckle dance out into the air. She thought she sounded stupid and wondered why she suddenly felt so self-aware.

”Where is Russia?” she decided to ask, and she realized that she was sincerely interested. Was it close to Cotl’s homelands? Was it in this Europe place that someone once had tried to explain to her? She had never bothered too much with things that did not hold her immediate interest. Now she sort of regretted. ”I like your accent. I’ve never heard anything like it before,” Well, she kind of had, but it was definitely not the same as Cotl’s and it rang so uniquely when he spoke.
