The long hallway was dark, silent other then her paw steps. She used no candle to guild the familiar path, and the wolfess knew which floor borders to avoid to keep her approach quiet and still. The candle she had held hours before had long been burned to nothing more then a puddle of wax. Dawn turned the darkness of night into the haze and dim light of day. The snow and wind calmed with the turning of time, leaving no more then the drifting dust of a new snow. Beyond their walls lay a picture perfect winter wonderland, the colors of the bleeding sky reflecting in each crystal of the landscape. Trees’ boughs held cushions of white, branches clinging to small droplets and collected flakes. But the wolfess merely stood in the hallway, her paws slowing and stopping at the door that was all too familiar. There was a tire in her shoulders, and desire to sleep lingering above her eyes lids, making them heavy. And yet, the scent that lingered between the cracks of the door and the frame that surrounded it brought new life to the elder wolfess.

Words that had passed between she and her best of friends had lifted fact and truth from her chest. They had calmed her fears and at the same moment reignited them all the same. Still she was not alone in the worry, and she was the only one to understand the follies of beasts beyond their door. Haku would be monstrous, no matter where the Crimson Dreams wolves stood. They could only do so much, save attempting to destroy him. The lives of those she loved were not worth such a thing, and she breathed easy knowing her Commander believed the same. It was best to protect, and stand guard, to be still and silent in the dark and ready for what may be peering beyond the shadow. Anu stood before the door, her hand reaching out slowly to the handle.

Opening it the woman let the door moved with its own weight and felt the warmth of the coming day filter through the window and onto her face. The teapot sat on the dresser that furnished their room. Blue eyes looked at for a single moment, before resting upon the sleeping creature that lay upon the bed Anu had known only to be hers. Never had she had another under the blankets that lined it. They were new, gathered from the city, specify for the female that rested beneath them. The timber colored wolfess took the small steps that it took to close the distance. She was secretly surprised in a way that Colibri still chose to sleep here, since Anu ad been so cold and weary of her presence, but beyond relieved that she had not decided to leave. There was a silence between them. Anu did not know who had let it take over the pair, but since they had arrived home from the Dahlian lands neither had spoken more then necessary. The attack had traumatized them both and Anu was so grateful that the chocolate woman had survived that she moved gingerly around her as if she was a fragile doll of porcelain, just waiting for a simple vibration to crack its surface.

No more. Truth had been spoken, and Anu would no longer allow herself to not show how grateful she truly was. The guilt needed to be lifted, the ease back in her step and it was the moment to truly heal, let the healing beyond the physical form to begin. The female had been so worried that Colibri would suffer from infection, that she bleed to death or she would never function as she had that what lay beyond the water like eyes she held was forgotten. Anu leaned forward towards the bed, slowly and softly resting her light form onto the side of the bed. Eyes danced over the creature and she breathed a single sigh, words inter laced with the breath,
“I’ve missed you.” This night, these days the weeks. All of it was lost to her, time left that could not be recovered. Again she had forgotten to fulfill her promise; again she had let the young woman down. It was her duty to protect her, every bit and once again Anu had been unable to shelter her entirely.

lost into the weight of gravity

She dreamt of Leland. She had been preoccupied enough to have pushed the haunting memory from her conscious thoughts, but now that she had found stability and safety, his hollow eyes were transfixing her dream self. Buried deep, some part of her mind wondered why she was not having nightmares about Haku, after he had drawn her blood and mutilated her body once again. But she had exhausted her reserve of emotion for him, and was left with numbness in its place. That man was sick in the head. She prayed for her brothers and her aunt, and the little cousins so new to the world, and her old friend Cercelee, but she could not help them, and she could not influence her horrible father any more than she could influence the moon or the tides.
No, this night, cold and alone beneath the covers, her slumbering form was haunted by a ghost, a sad shell of a man who had come to die on her doorstep. She had put him out of his misery, for he was dying of a broken heart that could not be mended. And it haunted her because she knew that look, knew that she would end up the same way if Anu discarded her.
Colibri was nothing without this woman, and had turned her back on her family just to share the same room as her. Anu had been careful to tend to her lacerations, to bandage her wounds and help her with the healing process. But her melodic voice had fallen silent, and her duties carried her out of the room more and more frequently. How could it be? Their bodies were closer than ever, but there was a distance greater than there had been before.
A slight shift in the mattress woke her instantly, pale morning light flooding her contracted pupils. Frost had clawed its way up the windowpane during the night, tracing icy diamonds that glittered a myriad of colors in the sunrise. Coli blinked bleary-eyed for a moment, her thoughts fuzzy as her conscience slowly resurfaced. She was in the Haven Manor, in Anu's bed... Anu was beside her. The werewolf made a small noise in her throat, nudging the older woman's shoulder with her muzzle just to ensure that she was really there and not some residual dream fragment.
A warmth flushed her cheeks as she realized the former was true, and she drowsily snuggled closer to her beloved, ushering her under the covers. She was still half-asleep, and had required much bedrest over the past weeks to calm her anxiety and let her injuries knit themselves closed. The only one that still required a bandage was her severed tail, and she was trying not to think about that. She had gone out walking several times to explore her new home and test her balance, and her newfound clumsiness made her ashamed.
Realizing that it might have something to do with Anu's avoidance made her flinch, slowly drawing back from the warm embrace. She must be an embarrassment to someone of Anu's rank and stature, a burden and nothing more. That would explain it. "S... sorry... for all of this," she mumbled in response, swallowing the knot in her throat. She knew she wasn't mate material, especially now that she was damaged on the outside. She had just hoped that when they started spending so much time together, it would be a happy reprieve from the daily stress of their lives. She hadn't expected the deafening silence, and had no way of breaking it. Haku had managed to ruin this, too, her only shot at happiness. She was going to end up like Leland, begging for someone to end her loveless life because she hadn't the strength to do it herself.

The moment Anu had visited Savina; she had thought it was a chair she would be retreating to. But instead she longed to feel the form of Colibri against her chest, know the soft fur and the warmth she radiated. Longing for the moment where it would all return to normal, the second that the two would not longer be running from the Dahlia monster and be at peace, together. And even since they had returned safely Anu simply believed they were still running and hiding from the Dahlian leader, running from the truth and the fears. But the fact had been laid before her friend, truth known and secrets no longer hidden. But because she left so often and had roamed so much Anu could not say she knew what Coli thought, their words so brief and nothing beyond necessity. Had she even told her how glad she was? How her life was no longer incomplete now that her rank was below the Crimson Dreams title, that they no longer needed to travel great lengths to see each other’s face and they needed not fear the ramification of her departure of Dahlia de Mai. All of that had passed, all of that experienced and experienced well. Were they not allowed to simply enjoy each other’s company? Anu felt it was time no long hide behind a fear of breaking the woman that she loved any further.

The wolfess pulled the covering, up and away so her lean form could slip beneath. The bed with warm against her night chilled fur, but the body that shared the blanket was searing with heat as she slowly and gently moved towards it. The female awoke, her eyes blinking with sleep and her nose reaching out to touch her shoulder. It was then that Coli coiled before he chest. The cold of her body began to melt, a hand slowly touching the woman’s neck and simply exploring the line that led to her ear. She almost needed to feel to make sure it was true, to make it known that Colibri was not some fragile creature, so delicate to even the silver toned wolf’s touch. Finger trailed down her face, freely tracing the soft lines of her cheek and jaw. Tentative and gentle, but no longer fearful her touch allowed the sleeping heat of her body to flow into the chilled figure of Anu. Thawing quickly, she breathed in the scent of her and noticed all to well as the other moved away at the sound of her words.

Of course. Anu had been distant and as the new Dreamer spoke there was an apology on her tongue. Wrongfully. This was not her fault, not did it fall to Anu completely but she was whiling to take it and happy to do so. Happy if the cream and brown wolfess would be with her, entirely and completely. Happy to share her home and give Colibri the protection that she deserved and needed. She had missed her, but it was the distance the Lt. General had created that was the cause of her loneliness. Her breath was held, but instead of allowing the silence to continue, Anu allowed her hand to touch Coli’s face. Her nose drew close, eyes closing in a prolonged blink as she spoke softly.
“No,” the single word was a plea, though she had wished to sound strong, wishing to always be strong for her.
“I love you.” Anu stated, her voice slightly stronger and yet no louder then before. She opened to eyes to meet two that held her sky, the air she breathed and the water she drank. Every bit of her survival.

The woman took a breath, remembering that breathing in the scent of Colibri was the same as taking the first breath of life. It was drowning in emotions that went nameless and at the very same moment breaking the surface and taking in that denied oxygen.
“It is not your fault.” She ended, wishing that she would believe her though in the past it had been hard to make her understand that Anu loved her fully and the troubles of her past were hers as well, but had been taken up willingly.

lost into the weight of gravity

Coli felt her heart melt as her lover's hand laid warm against her throat, brushing upwards to stroke her sensitive face. A giddy energy buoyed up inside of her, and she couldn't resist the happy smile that lit up her countenance. It was as though the distance had never been between them at all, as though nothing had ever hurt, as though this halcyon had always existed and they could stay this way forever. It couldn't last, though, as recent memories came flooding back. Her ears tipped back apprehensively as she withdrew, troubled eyes searching Anu's earnest expression for answers.

"But... it really is my fault... you could have been killed. And if H-Haku ever sees you again, you'll be in just as much danger..." Her blue eyes filled with sorrow and pain, threatening to spill over in tears. The numbness that had shielded her from her emotions crumbled away, cast aside all too quickly when faced with that clear, wise gaze.
This was upsetting to her in so many ways, the repercussions of her selfishness only now truly hitting her. It wouldn't be over until her father was dead. At any time, Anu could be attacked by that wolf, for no crime other than fraternizing with his most worthless offspring.

It never used to be this way, he used to be calm and reasonable, not at all the brutal man he had become. A thick sob caught in her throat, and she buried her face in Anu's chest, the soft grey fur stifling her whimpering. She was still so weak. But perhaps this could be the last time she cried over him, the insane father who repeatedly tried to end her life.
"Thank you... for saving me," Coli mumbled after a moment, trying unsuccessfully to control the hitch in her shaking voice. She relied on this woman so much, in so many ways. She should be proud that she had finally committed to starting a new life, and focus on the positive aspects of sharing everything. But first she needed to face the remorse she had been carrying, to own up to the guilt.

There were memories that would forever be a part of Anu, but they were to be banished now. When she breathed her in, looked upon her face with the soft gaze that her own blue eyes gave, it was not to be the panic, the fear and horrid feelings that they had shared the day. They shared so much more. She felt it as their hearts beat so closely now in the dark confines of their bed. They shared a single love that would not be broken so easily by the teeth and claws of a crazed wolf. They shared the need for one another and for the love of the earth, the need for a simple existence. The same bright eyes, the same soil stained palms. Deeper they claimed the similar need to be held, showered with an honest love, the hope to show the other that they were their world. Those were simply memories, dried leaves in the wind of the changing of seasons. It was a change, moving from the dark of winter to the bright life of spring. Rains that could cleanse them, seeds to be plants and blossoms tended to. When Colibi spoke Anu listened with earnest, allow her to pull away but wishing that the other female did not want to.

How could they spread the blame between them? The only creature that deserved such a thing was Haku, for they were both innocent. Anu could see that now, the eyes opened to the shared pain and guilt that the two females felt.
“He is the only one to blame.” Anu spoke, though it was obvious. But there it was. They could have both died that day, and who would have been to blame? Haku, and him alone. They had not wished to face that till now, and as it filtered into the open Anu felt the weight lift from her shoulders. Exposing the truth made seeing Coli, and the future that they could have, more clearly. None of it should have happened, they should have come together without the blood and pain that Coli suffered, but Anu would not be ungrateful that they finally had each other, only wishing the road that led them here had held less bloodshed.

Anu felt the pressure of the younger wolfess’ face burry into the fur of her chest, and wrapped an arm around her. Tears could not be gated, and they burned at the corners of her eyes. But there was a strength there that Anu held too, even if she merely hung on the edge of falling at the hand of her emotions. The small mumbled words made Anu sigh deeply. There had been no other option for her, and would have given her life to save the young females. It was a torturous truth, but Anu did not shy away from it, holding onto that devotion and finding that it radiated a warmth in her chest. This was who she would sacrifice it all for, the young scared woman who trembled under her touch. But Anu found her beautiful, in everyway and could not resist the smallest and seemingly insignificant aspects of her.

“I will do anything for you.” her voice bled the emotions that milled and poured from her wounded heart, the breaks and scars that littered it had only now started to slowly close and heal. The tears that were shed had stopped, but left her cheeks damp. “We are safe here. You don’t need to be afraid. He will not find us, if he even looks.” The Soul male had other things to distract him. Anu assured her that they would be safe, and their lived could finally come together and be one. Anu breathed, looking for the blue eyes that she wished to hold in her own. Water pouring into the sky. Softly she spoke her voice edging on the whispers that Coli had given her,
“I would have left too, if he had taken you.” She admitted, speaking not of Crimson Dreams, not of ‘Souls. She would have left this Earth, she would not have been able to go on fighting any more. Haku would have had to kill her too.

lost into the weight of gravity

“He is the only one to blame.” Anu spoke the simple truth, and Coli shuddered in her embrace, hiding her face in the sandstone-hued fur before her. She swallowed hard, guilt swirling with self-righteous anger. It was his fault, but what had made him that way? Because her presence always seemed to bring out the worst in him, and he viewed her as such a mistake, not worthy of his bloodline or his time... Then another truth dawned on her, one she admitted haltingly to the one she loved. "I... I don't think I can blame him, though... because without him in my life, doing the things he did... I might never have met you." And that would be a greater shame than anything Haku could have done.

They were safe here. They had to be, a whole close-knit pack to defend its members, no torn loyalties or political games the way Dahlia had split itself. That pack might be doomed to crumble... Poor Cercelee, she had loved it so much in the beginning. Anu's silken whisper wafted through her thoughts, settling like a veil to mask all other feelings. She would have...? "N...no! You have to live...! You, you raised kids... and lead a pack, and... and... your garden..." She was suddenly too distraught to prioritize what she considered the three most important things in Anu's heart.

As happy as they were together, if Coli were to vanish... Anu still had a long fulfilling life ahead of her. "You... can't do that..." Coli sniffled, lip jutted like a pouting child. She let her fingers trace the slender clavicle she was so close to, quietly marveling that she was in this woman's arms, that it was not a dream. "I'd haunt you, silly, I wouldn't leave you alone..."

Blue eyes peeked up to see the Lieutenant General's reaction, the beginnings of a smile forming on her muzzle. They had spoken of ghosts before, that misty encounter in the rain. That had been the day Coli confessed her love, and she had never regretted that. Being someone's ghost was better than nothing at all, but she would always prefer the giddy warmth of physical contact. Feeling her partner's heart beating against the pads of her fingers... it was as though the cool silence between them had not only healed, but never existed at all.

She would never thank Haku.

The things that she saw in the female were all beautiful, they all held a certain fragility such as a petal on a flower. Half of what she had been born of had come from her father, but none of who she had become held any essence of the male. She was not him, and Anu would never see that monster in the soft coated woman, she saw too much light in her eyes, she saw the dawn of morning as the god rose to break away the cold and shatter the hold that night had placed. Colibri’s words rang in her ears, and Anu was surprised by them. She did not jump in shock, but they made her think quietly with a withdrawn gaze. Thinking about how it was the sadness Haku had instilled in Coli that had brought her to the lake that day, it could not make Anu grateful for what he had done. It could have turned out so very different, it could have been another way. They could have run into one another in a patch of wild flowers, picking those that they wanted in their gardens. On one of her trips to visit Dahlia they may have bumped into the other. But… that had not happened, and fate had played out the very way it had. There was not way to go back and there was no way that it would have turned out differently. If she was grateful, it would be like she was forgiving him. And maybe if she forgave him Anu would be granting him the right to hurt her again. But Colibri was right, and even if she had forgiven her father Anu saw the quality that she possessed to simply state those words as rare as gold, but far more beautiful. And something Anu did not possess, she spoke in a whisper, “It was fate.”

Anu had not been proud, just minutes before enter the room, about how she had acted. Speaking with Savina had opened her secrets, they had spoken of the things Anu had found forbidden and the truth had been told. She had said the same thing to the Commander, if Coli had died, Anu would have been killed as well. There would have been no running from her death. Anu looked down at the face that spoke those surprised words. She hadn’t wished to upset her, there was just no letting her go, and there was no walking away. Anu was too deeply set to give in at the onset of disaster. “My children are grown, and what is a home, what is a life without a place to rest my heart?” She asked, lightly and not upset. It was not a thing to argue, for Anu could see the happenings of that day, and she held the out come. The hand that came to her neck brought her own to the pouting face and the milky hued cheek. At her words and expression Anu smiled, her chest becoming light with a soft bit of laughter. She didn’t want a ghost, she didn’t want to be haunted, but if she needed it, there was no other ghost that Anu could ever wish for.

Her palm rested on her cheek, fingers curling in the soft tuffs of fur behind her ear. Anu smiled, feeling the warmth of Coli once more. The past melted away, the cold of those memories nothing but the watery remnants of a thawed Spring. Between them the snowy silence was gone, “I could not do this to a ghost.” Anu commented, her smile growing. She kissed her, holding her face and feeling the static jolt that resonated through her heart.

lost into the weight of gravity

...Fate. Yes, fate had played its hand several times, drawing them together just when they needed each other the most. It had not occurred to the younger wolf that they might have met under different circumstances, if fate had unfolded alternately. What mattered was the string of events that had finally gotten them in the same home together, alive and relishing in each other's very existence. They had both suffered during the journey, but at least for Colibri, it had been worth it to find true love.

"True..." Coli breathed, unable to look away from the clear blue gaze. "It's not a home if your heart is elsewhere." She swallowed the lump in her throat, finally feeling as though she had done the right thing in coming here. It had seemed so selfish at first, but not only had she paid the price for deserting, she was also here for Anu's sake as much as her own. If they could hold onto this peace, this idyllic coexistence... Neither of them would ever leave for as long as they lived.

A kiss... Colibri leaned in instinctively, eyes fluttering shut to hide her surprise and delight. No, a ghost could not do this, and the tremulous rapture that flooded her system immediately made her vow to live forever so that she could always have this. Anu's palm felt so warm against her cheek, or was that the flush rising beneath her own fur? Her arms moved to encircle her love's slender back, her fingers interlacing through the soft sandstone fur. She had never been touched like this before, not with such caring and passionate promise. This was a whole new experience, something that had tantalized her before with the brief touches she and Anu had exchanged, and now there was nothing to stop them from going further. No regrets, no logistics, no shame. She did not want the kiss to end...

Her timidity was brushed aside by her need for contact, and a small whine caught in her throat as she moved closer beneath the blankets, sliding her legs along the curve of Anu's legs. In the past, she had daydreamed many times of this moment - sometimes she would boldly take the lead, or other times passively melt into her lover's arms, she could never decide which she wanted more. Now she was realizing she simply didn't know what to do next, so terribly inexperienced she happened to be. She knew sex, but nothing of making love - or even if Anu wanted anything of that sort! A kiss could just be a kiss, after all. She might be pressing her luck, considering that they had only begun to speak heart to heart again... although deep down, it would disappoint her to be turned away now, when she had been waiting her whole life.

loved your reply :3

She had been restless when Colibri was living in Dahlia. Her mind was rarely centered, her thought always drifting. Anu would find it hard to begin a thought without thinking of Coli first, but now that she knew she was here, under the roof that Anu helped hold above them all, she could know that she was safe. But it was not just the unknowing and the distance. The words her love spoke were true to the elder Dreamer. Her heart had been else where those days, away from its owner and in a land that could not be trusted. But now, they were all home. In the security of a place that Anu could trust, a place she could defend and protect. With her heart here, finally, seen in the liquid eyes of the brown wolfess Anu could feel its beat refreshed. Reformed and absorbed in this woman, fragile in body and gentle in voice her power could easily break the knitted organ Anu willing gave her. But Anu trusted that she would not allow it to crack as she did her very best to keep what Coli gave her whole and well.

Anu felt the kiss ignite as she pressed her lips against Colibri’s, her breath lost and eyes slowly closed as the beat in her ribcage stopped. The air caught in her chest, the touch of Coli’s palms radiating warmth as they touch her sides and traveled to her back. They erased her thoughts, and there was no past of serrated memories that would cut her always, and there was no indeterminable future. And there was no hesitation in the female, no falter in her movements as she erased any space that lingered between them. How Anu had longed for this simple embrace, and as she wished to feel the pressure of her hands against the small of her back Anu leaned inward instead, her hand moving fluidly from the cream hued cheek to her silk chocolate mane. Fingers lost in the long fur, Anu became acutely aware of every inch of the younger female’s body. The soft muscle of their thighs touched and Anu broke their kiss, softly retreating from her lover’s lips and taking in the warm air the existed between them in a needed breath.

Lips parted. Eyes looked into the blue skies of her world. There was nothing that she wanted more, nothing that she had ever wanted more. Wordlessly she wished to tell the female what love meant. Since the moment they had met Anu had wanted to share her desire. Pale arm moved under Colibri, cradling her back as the other moved away from the silk of her mane to explore the gentle curve of her waist, her soft fur velvet against the sensitive tips of her fingers. Looking away from her face Anu kissed her jaw lightly, fingers trailing downward as her lips fell to her slender neck. They felt her hip as Anu grew eager to know more of her, letting them wander to the base of her tail, careful not to touch the sensitive wound. Her own heart sounded in her ears, a hammer against cloth. Anu felt the rush of Coli’s quickened beat in the pulse that lived just beyond her lips.

WC: 391 // loved yours too!! <333 you know, Coli is going to be jealous of Gabriel...

lost into the weight of gravity

There was a tremulous excitement building in her, a thawing she had not known was possible. She had dreamed of romance all her young life, of a handsome prince swooping in and calling her a princess, whisking her into a fairy tale. As her life unfolded, her expectations dropped lower and lower, her hope pummeled into a depression she could not free herself from. It had taken a bottle of wine and a reckless whim to rebel to mete out even a scratch through that fortress she had built around herself.

But that scratch formed a crack, and that crack spread, and her defenses began to crumble. Her handsome prince was a woman. It didn't matter. It was an infatuation, then a crush, then a first love. And against all odds, this woman saw through her problems, saw through to an innocence that Colibri didn't even know she possessed. How she had ever gotten so lucky, to find the right one for her the first time she kissed someone... she might never know. But she would never again doubt that good things come to those who wait.

The sensation was so thrilling and new, and yet it felt so natural to be entwined together, as though they had always existed as one entity rather than two separate beings. The paradox made perfect sense in her frazzled mind, her thoughts completely chased aside as Anu gently broke the kiss, drowning her in that crystal-clear gaze. She could stare into those eyes for a lifetime and never reach the end of the depths, never fathom what it was she saw that made her heart skip a beat the way it always did.

Coli couldn't hide the tremor in her leg, the shiver that Anu's lips incited against her neck. Her jaws parted, her breathing quickened into panting. This was incredible. A vague whisper in the back of her mind reminded her that she had hands, too, and she could be using them rather than laying limp in rapturous joy. She slid her palms along the sensual curve of Anu's hips, marveling at how soft her fur was, how perfect in every way this woman was. A little wordless plea escaped her lips as Anu's touch wandered lower, her fluttering pulse leaving her dizzy and breathless. It was overwhelming, in the best possible way.

awww :3

There was a longing inside that was slowly being eaten away, satisfied to the point of disappearing. A desire that was met in small pieces with each breath that they shared. Their slow gentle movements made the urge grow, pushed her further and ignited a heat in the older female that had been extinguished for far too long. In the past it had flickered to life, caressing her heart with its small flame. But the blaze had begun, a wild fire that Colibri had started ran through her veins and she felt the nerves of her skin fire with each strand of fur touched by the other female. With the slight twinge in the muscles of Colibi’s leg, Anu moved her hand down from the base of her tail to hold the back of her thigh. She was less tentative, finding the warmth of her fur and the burn of the skin below it. The hand that ran along her waist and hip brought her own spine to jump in a slight excited jolt, and Anu moved the leg she held to lay curved atop her own.

She heard the breathless cry, felt the racing pulse beneath her lips. They broke their dance along the soft furred neck, lifting to intake the breath that the woman desperately needed. Anu released her gentle hold of Coli’s slender leg, allowing it to find its way north as the other remained nestled against her back in attempt in joining them even closer. It moved to hold her face, softly to look into the vast sky that shown above her world.

In the past her heart bled, cracked and broken by those stronger then she. And then the two lovers met, and Anu felt the repair begin. In the past they had been so distant, wishing and pleading to be as they were this moment. Anu had hoped for her safety, poured her soul and all her purpose into making such a life possible. Colibri had scarified her home, her family, risked her life to give Anu everything that she ever desired. Blue eyes watched, listened as she worked to bring forth the reaction that came from her love. Her own heart raced, her breathing heated and quickened. Eyes met those of the woman that had scarified everything to be with her, broken down every defense and allowed herself to be exposed and her heart handled. Anu kissed her lips, sharing the air that each fought for and placed her hand between them, her palm resting against Coli’s stomach. Slowly, yet without hesitation, the female grazed her fingers downward towards the heat that radiated from her lover’s core.

lost into the weight of gravity

Words could not describe the elation she felt, this wanton desire to lose herself in the moment. If she had ever doubted her sexual orientation, it was clear now what she wanted; even if it was just the individual she was madly in love with, she wanted Anu in every way possible. Right here, right now, there was nothing else in her world, no other thoughts to distract her, no other sun in the sky.

Their heat rose in tandem, as Anu maneuvered Coli's leg to envelop her own, to press their forms together. The soft fur on Anu's underside felt like velvet, meshing against her own pale pelt. It was like she was drowning in sensory overload; the touch of her trembling fingers against Anu's iliac crest, the warm scent that made her high with each inhalation, the sight of those adoring blue eyes, tender and longing and passionate. Colibri leaned into the kiss eagerly, her lips parting to breathlessly deepen the embrace. Impulsively, her light touch rose, tracing the curve of the woman's ribcage, rubbing gently to the base curve of Anu's breasts.

She did not flinch or shy when Anu's hand found its way against her waist, easing inexorably downward. She wanted this... Never had she wanted anything more. It would have frightened her a year ago, to let another's hands touch her so intimately, to give them such power over her. But this was Anu; that changed everything. She edged her hips forward, eager to hasten the experience. Her bandaged tail grazed the mattress as she moved, but she barely flinched, the aching pushed aside for more pressing matters.

The darker female rose, her hips pressed against the hand that traveled between them and Anu cradled Coli’s back, holding in her place. The desire, the indict of emotion and simple, primal and yet wanton need all collided and there could be no more waiting, no more worry and no more guilt. A light moan escaped her lips, her lover’s hand grazing lightly over her sides, touching her chest softly and unknowingly teasing and fueling the spark that once just flickered and now blazed below. Her own escape beckoned, and yet the need to show Colibri what true love, what true satisfaction could be, drove her to think of her own release last. The breathtaking and electric reaction that was drawn from the beautiful woman brought an almost equally fulfilling feeling.

Anu wished to touch every inch, to know the very core of Colibri and for them to have no secrets. Her blood rushed and propelled beneath her skin, burning at her center and pulsing her heart. Her stomach fluttered as she reached below, and touched Coli’s pearl, moist and eager for her attention. If her desire for Anu had not been evident, or if there had been any wonder in the experienced woman’s mind, all were abolished. The last floodgate between them broke, the thin barrier that had yet to fall even in the midst of their confessions, declarations and now consummation. Anu kissed the side of her muzzle, a single finger tracing the out edges and then gently entering. Her fur had been warm to the touch, her lips static energy that Anu drew from at each kiss. Here she was warmer then any purr that rose from her chest, a fire hotter then any other in existence, and she was softer then any newly born flower’s petal.

As soft spoken and gentle hearted as Anu was every waking moment, it did not change now even when feeling such an unbridled urge. She did not believe them to be fragile, their relationship forming more concrete with each passing impassioned moment, but she was not ready to remind her heart’s captor of any of the harsh experiences of her past. Softly and slowly Anu began to draw her finger out, adding another digit before slowly yet eagerly sinking back into her depths.

lost into the weight of gravity

Kisses blossomed against her muzzle, her partner's arm cradled her tenderly into the embrace. Encouraged by Anu's wordless articulation, Colibri grasped the breast more firmly; her thumb brushed against the nub of Anu's nipple, beneath the soft fur of her chest. She wanted to hear that voice again, that longing timbre a haunting melody. Oh, her voice was so sweet, and that faint moan sent a shiver down her spine!

This love, or lust, or whatever was coursing wildly through her, it was the most powerful sensation she had ever felt. The energy, the tension, the need for more! She could feel her own pulse, or was it Anu's? thudding in her ears, tingling in her fingertips, racing with the frenzied pitch of a hummingbird's wings.

Anu's hand found its way to the source of her heat, running her finger tantalizingly against the sensitive outer rim before sinking within. "Ah- Anu-!" she gasped, her back arching reflexively. Her free hand gripped the mattress edge, claws sinking deep into the fabric to try and keep herself rooted. A flush rose scarlet beneath the pale fur of her cheeks, immediately heightened to a new intensity.

This was nothing like her previous encounter - this was all warmth and softness and being so very close to the one she loved, and finally being able to express what she had questioned and suppressed for so long. Anu needn't have worried; bad memories were the farthest thing from Coli's mind at the moment. It was becoming impossible to process any thoughts at all, as her uninitiated body was experiencing everything tenfold.

Coli buried her face against the curve of Anu's slender neck, kissing frantically down her clavicle to her sternum. A thick whine escaped her throat as Anu gently doubled her fingers, the tightness eased somewhat by her moist excitement. She found herself moving her hips, edging eagerly against Anu's hand, in a desperation she had never realized she was harboring until now. This was the first time anyone had pleasured her so. In her weak and timid adult life, she had locked away an integral part of herself, of being a grown and mature woman. Had Anu seen that she would never grow unless she could find someone to show her how? Or was it simply symbiosis, a mutual craving for affection and the touch of another? It didn't matter now. All that mattered were the two females, sandy-grey and earthen-brown, hopelessly and passionately together as one.

;D

It couldn’t be anyone else, and it felt like there have never been another. The females were connected, drowning the ocean of their passion, and searching further and diving deeper for those places that the other did not show the world. There was a fragile essence to both, neither immune to any level of heartache, neither unscathed inside and out. The Dreamer could not go a day an hour, a moment without thinking back to the woman she held in such a heated embrace. It was impossible for her to be without the fragile soul of Colibri, she would be forever imprinting in her tattered heart and washed away the seared brands other’s names had placed upon it. Their lust brought her further through the long healing process, their love completing the months of rebuilding that one single whine dashed kiss had commenced. One needed the other, to finally be whole.

With her breathless deep call Anu encouraged her young lover further, her finger dancing over the sensitive tip of her breast. The woman leaned into the touch, pressing herself even closer to the lithe fey. Her mouth found air, much needed and her voice rang out to speak again, but was came was a caught breath and a wordless gasp. With every passing second Anu wanted her more, the possibility of it seemingly unachievable, but her desires found no bounds and yet the woman conveyed them with only the softest of introductory touches.

Coli spoke her name, body curving in order to accept her. It was not spoken in protest, an immediate surprise perhaps but any hint of hesitation was smothered by her further reaction. There was nothing that said that Colibri did not wish for what Anu had to offer, and the blue eyed Dreamer held her for the briefest of moments until she felt Coli move against her with a willingness that spoke of the pleasure that Anu brought. The older female moved slowly, Coli’s stream of kisses adding oil to the burning fire, and built a gentle rhythm, increasing speed but never faster then the return her slim hips gave.

The room was soon filled with the sounds of their combined moans and high pitched pleasure filled whines. The sweet cream and blush colored face nestled in her neck, then moving slowly downwards. Anu moved her thumb, rubbing lightly against the most sensitive of places on the other wolfess’ body. Their breathing spoke of the intensity, their pulses blazingly fast, the pounding of their hearts threatening to burst from their cages as if a magnetic force pulled them together. Anu moved forward, pushing oh so slightly deeper with her next rhythmic conquest of the chocolate hued fey. She wanted Coli’s release, wanted to feel it against her, wanted to induce the aftershock, wanted to hear her scream her name.

lost into the weight of gravity

Anu wanted, and so Anu would receive. Coli could not last much longer at all, nor did she need to -- the fast-paced first time was exhilerating, a race to the finish! They would have all the time in the world to slowly indulge each other later, to share every experience they could... This time, in her inexperience, Colibri was allowed to be selfish. Despite her dizzied state of mind, her panting lips still found their way to Anu's nipple, her breath hot as her tongue flicked instinctively out.

Both of their voices could be heard, quick and overlapping, little muted sounds of excitement and moans. A desperate, strangled whine escaped from Colibri's throat -- ah, she had never wanted or needed anything this badly! "Please... please... nn... Ah... Anu..." she exhaled, her voice high and breathy with helpless surrender. Her lover was in complete and utter control of her, was so perfectly knowledgeable and skillful at her craft, was so amazing in every way... There was no one else in the world but Anu.

She felt a tremor rack her body, then another - an uncontrollable shivering, that signified her reaching the peak. Her voice rang out, sounding like another wolf to her ears; surely that tremulous yipping half-howl could not be coming from her, could it? But everything seemed to explode into whiteness before she could figure it out -- stars burst before her eyesight, her body jerked back spasmodically, her thighs trembling against Anu's -- the moment was brief, violent, rapture -!

She felt her chest heaving as she panted, struggling to catch her breath and get her bearings back. "W-was that.... supposed to happen...?" she muttered breathlessly, fingers shaking as she entwined them in Anu's mane. Had she done enough? Was her lover unsatisfied? "Was that... good?" There was a hot dampness between her legs, she could feel it past Anu's attentive fingers. There was a sudden insecurity in her, a need to be held and reassured after the rhythm had been broken. Had Anu felt the same thing she had, or had she fallen much too soon?

perfect! we can end if you wants?

Her cry, the pulse that could be felt from her core and quickened breathing that only increased with each passing second told Anu that she was close. The younger woman begged, and she was glad to oblige and eager to bring about the climax she called for. Anu moved forward ever so slightly, feeling the constricting beat of Colibri against her hand. Anu paused, taking in the trembling form, felt the quake against her, and heard the high-pitched voice in her ears. Never had she heard such a noise come from her soft-spoken love, and it immediately brought a smile to her face. This was all for her, every motion, ever ounce of energy expelled. It was all for Colibri. Blue eyes watched her face, felt the thin fingers hold her own head steady, or as an anchor that kept Coli on this plane of existence. Her spoke as Anu slow withdrew her connection to the other wolfess, and the older fey simply nodded. Her breath was ragged, trembling as if falling from her own aftershock. “Yes” she responded, her voice soft, her mind still reeling from the excitement and the heightened sensory occurrence.

The silver toned female held herself against the darker woman, her eyes moving downward to watch the rising and falling chest and slowly taking in each detail of her slimly build body, as if she had not just spent past moment taking in each with her lips and hands. She suddenly felt as if she would miss something; forget or loose it suddenly, though she never would. At the question Anu looked up, nodding with a bit more haste, “Yes.” She spoke with a widening smile. There was nothing better then being the one to bring another to such a climax. Her own would not be as fulfilling and heartwarming as giving such a feeling to someone she loved so profoundly, even as pleasurable as Anu knew it would be. It was not about her, Anu thought as she kissed the crook of her neck and shoulder. Anu moved to her side, though not allowing any spade to come between them.

The female had fallen to the bed this night with one unbridled desire. And she felt it fulfilled, and found satisfaction in knowing that she had shown Coli something that she had never known before, that she had spoke her love without true words and taught that their love could be felt through every nerve, in every cell of their bodies. The Dreamer’s desire for the once Dahlian would never be extinguished, the heat that rose always blazing, and this was enough to bring her pleasure. As she leaned on her side Anu guided Coli’s form to face her, moving slowly and gently. Her smile did not fade away but softened, and a hand moved to push away the strands of fur that threatened to cover Coli’s face. Anu did not believe she had ever known this happiness before.
