He knew better than to linger anywhere close to the lands that were thirsting for his blood. He smiled at the idea and gave a dark chuckle as he pulled himself up onto the hood of a car. He had been looking to explore the city but he hadn’t got very far before he had been distracted by a small colony of cats that had been hunting throughout the urban sprawl. He had seen cats before but he had never seen them in numbers. He had stayed well away from the small creatures but close enough to where he could study them. The whisper man in his mind had begun to call again and he had crawled upon the hood of the car to rest and let the wisdom of the creature cascade into his head and fill him with the ecstasy and glory that the whisper man always brought.

His dark eyes were watching the felines warring with one another over turf but his mind’s visitor spoke of other battles, of fights to come and a way to bring down the queen. His lips quivered with excitement as a smile slowly spread across them. There was nothing left for him within the clan anymore but he could make something of what was left after the battles finished raging and the blood seeped into the soil. A dark and sinister chortle rose from his throat as he watched the victor of the feline’s turf war hold down his enemy and thoroughly thrash him before letting the invader slip into the shadows of the field beyond.

Seeing him — that traitor — so close to Inferni and his home enraged Hybrid. He had experienced anger before; in fact, it was the sole emotion that drove him to fight. He could muster up enough hatred at any moment to propel himself into battle. It was one of the few emotions he knew and understood. But here, now, he did not need to create it. He could feel the violence coursing through his veins as he stared at the traitor. Hybrid could not even say the man's name. He would not. He refused. The traitor had lost his right to hold a name long ago, when he had forsaken Inferni for a wolf. Hybrid loathed the creature with such a vengeance that he begin to shake ever so slightly. His limbs felt heavy and hot, and he was ready to jump in and attack the thing at a moments notice.

The traitor had returned. He was far from Inferni's borders, but still too close for Hybrid. The traitor had no right to even exist on the peninsula. Hybrid remained silent, still staring at the ex-Lykoi and ex-Infernian. When he could stand it no longer, he called out to his former lover in a voice strangled by hated.

"Traitor," he demanded loudly, addressing the coywolf. Now that he had said the creature's name, he knew not what to do. He wanted to attack him, but the traitor was on a car, and that was not an opportune stage for a fight. "Get down from there so I can kill you," he stated, making sure his intentions were crystal clear. He wanted the traitor to be able to face his death knowing he had been warned, and knowing he’d had a chance to escape. Hybrid wanted to tear him limb from limb knowing the traitor shared his knowledge. He needed the traitor to understand how much he loathed him. Hybrid wanted the traitor to feel it when he bit into his flesh and ripped him apart. Hybrid needed this.

Vitium had caught the scent of a creature he'd known very well, delight lit his dark hued orbs as he turned towards the voice that called him. It didn't matter what name Hybrid addressed him as he could still remember the scent of the beast, the taste of his blood and seed from their violent form of lovemaking. A chuckle rose from his throat as he stared at the male who was demanding him to remove himself from his appointed post. He crossed one arm over his knee as he leaned down towards the male and hissed. "Hello lover.." He knew that the man viewed him as nothing but the enemy anymore but Vitium didn't care, he could remember when the creature had thought differently of him and he let his teeth show as he grinned at his old partner.

There was a sick bit of humor present in his eyes as he yawned, an insult to the demand that Hybrid had asked of him. He stretched his arms over his head and stated simply, "You could ask me nicely you know.." His eyes sparkling as he raised a brow at the man. [b]"Then again, you've never known how to ask nicely about anything have you?"[b] He stared down at the man and waited to see just what he had in mind of him. He knew a few things that he wouldn't mind doing to the beast, but he doubted Hybrid would let him, not that he could honestly stop him if he wanted to take it from the man though. A wicked grin split his lips at the thought.

I edited in a mature warning in the topic description because Hybrid is a potty mouth! :|

Hybrid knew Vi— no, no, no, the traitor — was dicking around just to piss him off. And even though Hybrid knew this, it still got to him. He hated the traitor (there, the traitor, and nothing else), and when the traitor provoked him, it only made his blood boil faster. Hybrid knew what the other canine was trying to do. He knew exactly why he was doing it, and he could not help but get reeled in. Hybrid snarled in reply to the creature's words, refusing to acknowledge the traitor as a lover. He had been, once, but Hybrid didn't need him anymore. It was over. The traitor had to die.

The traitor yawned. The traitor stretched; Hybrid seethed. The traitor raised his brow, and Hybrid wrinkled his in reply, frowning. And again, the coywolf taunted him. Hybrid hated this; he hated being toyed with and he hated knowing this, but being unable to do anything about it. He and the traitor had always been competing for dominance, and neither of them had ever achieved it. They had always been stuck in a stalemate. Now, the only way to resolve the age-old draw was through death. Death, death, kill him, kill him, Hybrid chanted quietly in his head, trying to calm himself. The thought of drawing the traitor's blood soothed him.

"Get the fuck down!" Hybrid bellowed, not caring how loud he was, or who might hear him. Let them hear. Let them know. "Get the fuck down so I can kill you," he repeated. He didn’t want to say it again, but he knew he might have to. He might have to stand here for hours yelling at the traitor. He didn’t want to, but he knew neither of them would move until they decided to or were forced to. Fuck their pride. Hybrid wanted blood.

His eyes smiled wickedly as he watched the man below him raise. A smirk settled on his lips as he tilted his head to the side and chuckled. The whisper man spoke softly in his ear, of just how entertaining this creature before him could be. He chuckled softly and gave a small sound of disappointment at the male who he taunted relentlessly. "Kill me, but why, there's so many other things I'd like to do with you, bad things." He let his claws drag across the paint of the car as he grinned, "Bad things, so bad. You'd like them too I'm sure." He would rather keep his body intact right now and work the man into a frenzy before he subjected himself to actually having to put forth an effort to get anywhere.

He leaned over the edge of the car and grinned at Hybrid as he suggested, "Now.. fuck, that might be a way to get me down.. but I don't believe I'd like to meet death today. It's too much work, and too bloody." He would have his moment later in life to meet death and to play at war. Right now he just wanted to relax and have things his way. Word obviously spread quickly in Inferni if Hybrid already knew of Vitium's return. He flicked some flecks of paint from his claws as he asked, "So who have you been tailing now that I'm gone?" Not that he was that interested, but he knew the male had to have found somebody, willing or not.

Hybrid remained silent and stoic as the traitor spoke, uselessly trying to control his anger. He knew it was pointless — no matter how much he tried, he was focused on one thing, and he knew he could not change that. The traitor taunted him now, letting his maw form a feral grin as he dragged his claws against the roof of the car. Hybrid flinched at the sound, visibly disturbed by the screech the traitor made. It was jarring and Hybrid did not like it in the least. The traitor continued speaking, but did not drag his nails against the car anymore. Hybrid was relieved; he did not want to hear that wretched sound again. It made his heart beat wildly and made him feel as though all of the angry and hatred was coursing through his veins again.

The traitor continued with his infernal grin, leaning over the car and taunting him even further. Hybrid's eye twitched as the traitor continued speaking. Hybrid could feel himself growing tired of the traitor's useless banter, as it was neither helpful nor useful. He was stalling. Hybrid's mind screamed at him to attack him or do something, but Hybrid remained still, seething silently. Hybrid took a few steps toward the traitor as the other canine spoke, moving closer to the car. Once the traitor finishing speaking, Hybrid jumped at his form, which was leaning off the car and horribly off balance. Hybrid's powerful back legs allowed him to jump at the other canine and slash at him with his claws. Hybrid tried to grab a hold of the traitor's face and wrest him to the ground so he could finish him off once and for all. The traitor could not complain about how messy and bloody it was when he was dead.

Vitium was easily amused by the creature’s temper tantrum. He eyed Hybrid with eyes that shone clearly of his brand of humor. His fangs glittered as he watched the man try his hardest to get him to remove himself from his placement on the vehicle. When he showed such clear dislike of the sound that emitted from his claws upon the roof of the car he cackled in delight and tried it again. His grin was pure evil as he savored every moment. It was such a thrill to make the man’s life a living hell.

He hadn’t actually expected Hybrid to come and closer but when he did Vitium’s radar instantly went up as the motion of Hybrid’s arms as they reached up to rip him from his perch. He snarled as he felt the male’s claws in his flesh, reaching for anything to hold him in place he felt his fingers wrap around the antenna of the car, snapping the thin piece of metal as he cascaded over the edge of the car. He twisted and landed on his feet with a snarl. He didn’t even think what he did as he whipped the antenna around. Attempting to strike the male across the face he growled and lashed out with his claws bear, aiming to rip into the Inferni male’s skin.

Maybe Vitium could stab through Hybrid's mouth with the antennae when Hybrid tries to bite him? Or just claw at Hybrid's mouth or something? :O *ideas!*

Hybrid managed to dethrone the cruel traitor, but he knew the traitor would not allow himself to fall easily. The traitor tumbled to the ground with a thin, metal stick in his hand. The traitor landed on his feet and Hybrid quickly pulled his paw back, dropping back onto all fours. He ducked away from the traitor's first swing, but as Hybrid tried to regain his balance, the traitor slashed him across the face. Hybrid recoiled as soon as he felt contact and shut his eyes tightly together, but it hardly helped. The broken metal drew across his face, drawing a horizontal line across his two eyelids and down the side of his face. Hybrid roared in pain, still trying to regain his balance from when he reared onto his back legs. Hybrid continued to back up, squinting hazily through the blood.

The traitor would not give up! He was now attacking Hybrid with his claws; with no other choice, Hybrid bared his fangs, refusing to back down. He lashed out, lunging for the traitor with his mouth widened so he could bite down and rip him apart. He swung his right paw at the traitor as he lunged, trying to take out the other male's legs. Hybrid could barely see where he was going, as the traitor's metal had cut a fairly deep wound where it first entered. Nonetheless, the Hydra refused to back down. He would have his revenge, and he would ensure that it was bloody and violent. No matter how crazed and desperate Hybrid's attacks were, he would be able to bring the traitor down.

Vitum was annoyed at the old fool for deciding that he had to die now. He was not in the mood to play games with his old lover right now and he cackled in amusement when the spray of Hybrid’s blood scented the air. He knew that with every action there would be a reaction and he took full advantage of Hybrid’s confusion while it lasted, pushing forward instead of running as the male tried to regain his balance. He wasn’t able to land a blow on the bastard with his claws but he still had the thin rod which seemed to be a surprisingly grand weapon for the moment in time. He let the rod slice through the air again, attempting to land a blow across Hybrid’s face again as the Inferni male advanced.

The sight of Hybrid’s gaping mouth moving towards him made his snarl in fury as he thrust the broken ragged edge of the antenna towards the male he’d once known too well. He felt the skin and flesh of the male give way beneath the weapon as the momentum brought him closer to the beast. He growled his fury and jerked the rod sideways harshly, not realizing exactly where the weapon had penetrated, too furious with the stupid male for his stubborn streak. He had a one track mind and today it was set on destroying Vitium who did not wish to die just yet. He felt the claws of the Inferni warrior scrap dully across his skin as he drew back his arm to punch the bastard full in the face, quickly letting his fist fly forward, the momentum of his whole body behind the thrust. He just wanted to go back about his day now and this sop was keeping him from that.

Maybe here Vitium could find the chain and pwn Hybrid? Big Grin

Hybrid roared in pain as the traitor drove the antennae deeper through his cheek. the traitor continued to push it in and jostle it about, causing Hybrid's roars to increase in volume. Hybrid sagged and thrashed about, trying to grab a hold on to the traitor's fur. He tried to dig his claws in to the traitor 's waist and hold on. Hybrid had pushed himself onto his back legs, but the sheer shock of having a piece of metal driven through his cheek confused and disoriented him. the traitor recognized this and continued with his attack. the traitor's quick movements threw his balance off and Hybrid stumbled to one side, tripping over his own unsteady feet. As Hybrid tried to regain his footing, the traitor lashed out one last time and boxed Hybrid just under his jaw. Hybrid felt his head snap back with the sheer force of the punch and fell down, landing hard on his back.

Hybrid gasped for air, but he was unused to standing up on his back legs -- and having the wind knocked out of him -- so Hybrid continued wheezing feebly, unable to catch a breath of air. His snarl came out mangled and twisted, but he could feel the hatred building strong in his chest. Nonetheless, he was at a severe disadvantage and they both knew it.

He was beginning to grow annoyed with the immature ways of his once lover. The male would not relent and he was tired of the games. It had been so much more amusing when they had been a team and the games between the two had been violent but pleasurable. Now it was just violence alone and he had better things to do. His hand was still firm on the antennae as the other male grappled about his body trying to land a blow here or there. Vitium ignored him as he felt the male's claws rip about his waist. A snarl broke out upon his lips as he jerked the antennae out of the male's maw and watched as the Inferni male went cascading backwards from the punch of Vitium's free hand. He sneered down at the male as he tried to find his footing as Vitium slowly circled him, his eyes scanning the grounds for a new weapon.

A evil smile spread across his maw as he found one that he believed wound work well enough. He crouched down and wrapped his claws around the length of chain as he cooed to the male before him. "Hey, it's all right babe, I'll make this a night you'll remember for a long time." A dark chuckle bubbling from his chest as he flicked the arm out that held the chain, the rattle of the metal as it speed between them and screamed for something to wrap it's length around as his eyes brightened. He knew that he had the bastard beat if he could keep him confused, and he'd learned enough in other lands to do just that.

Hybrid wheezed in reply, his chest heaving, still unable to offer any words. Hybrid was scrambling, trying to reorient himself, to do anything to pull him out of this position, but he could barely even see Vi -- NONONONO -- the traitor now. Darkness was beginning to erode his vision, and he could feel himself stumbling into unconsciousness. Hybrid refused to go down without more of a fight, so he tried to grab onto the broken surface, his sharp nails grappling on the pavement. He heard a quiet click as part of his nail ripped off in his attempt to stay conscious, but it didn't matter. He would do anything to keep himself conscious so he could fight back. Anything. Hybrid's breathing came more easily now, but he still could not feel his cheek. It had gone numb, and he knew he would be in a great amount of pain if he tried to retaliate with his teeth. Hybrid's mind was in an uproar, angry that such a small piece of metal could have incapacitated his jaws so easily.

Hybrid eyed the chain in the traitor's hand, waiting patiently to try and regain his strength. As the traitor held the chain before him, Hybrid lashed out, hoping to catch the traitor by surprise and rip a chunk out of his calf with his claws. Hybrid managed to push himself up onto his elbows and lunge at the traitor with his back legs. He still couldn't feel his legs completely, and they were slow to react, but at least he was able to do something. Anything. Hybrid would do anything to reject this wretched fate and show the traitor that he would not win, for he could not win. The traitor had betrayed Inferni; he deserved to pay; he deserved to die.
