Yay! No posting order at first, so hop in whenever you can! Set in the common room of Haven Manor Smile 300+

She and Ehno had been wanting to put something like this together for a while but it was only now that the opportunity had presented itself. They all lead busy lives and of course it had to wait until his pups were large enough to make the journey here with him. Savina was excited to get the whole family gathered together, but at the same time it had also presented a sticky situation for her. Up until now she had kept the fact that Ehno had pups and with whom a secret from her daughter, wanting to protect her from that difficult truth that she knew would hurt her. Now that the family gathering was happening though she had had to sit Cambria down and explain things to her. Unsurprising to say, her daughter had not taken the news well. She felt betrayed and hurt, perhaps to an even greater extent than Savina had herself when she had found out. This had happened a couple days ago and the chocolate girl's mood had not much improved. The mother honestly didn't know if she would decide to come or not.

Despite the circumstances though the woman was thrilled to finally get to meet her nieces and nephew. Ehno had left to go get them and Savina had gone and spread the news to the rest of the family on where and when to come meet up. The Commander had cleaned the common room and arranged it nicely so they would have plenty of room to sit and mill about. It would be strange to see so many Marinos in one place, considering how small their family had been not all that long ago. A quiet fire gave warmth to the room and Savina moved to go sit near it. People should be arriving shortly and her heart danced with anticipation, her tail thumping every so often against the floorboards.

Woot! Someone grab a camera!! Wc: 841~

Whether expressed or not, the dust-coloured fae's world revolved around her family. The set of wolves that shared her blood had haunted her from her earliest days; There was Serge Russo, to start it all off, the father of the trio who had never been around, afraid to fully accept responsibility for his actions, no doubt sowing the seeds for Ghita's later lifestyle. Then, as Ghita retreated into her own world, Ehno and Savina had melded theirs together, sharing bonds that Ghita couldn't have said that she shared. As a family, they all had roles within that. Amata was the despairing mother, trying to raise three pups with an absent father. Serge was more of a legend, a ghost - something unheard of and mysterious in being. Savina and Ehno were the good pups who persevered, but Ghita retreated into herself.

And all that drama was strictly reserved to blood ties, with no mention of the mate who had left her once Ghita's miscarriage became apparent. With the amount of drama circulating the Marinos, they might as well be compared to the Italian mafia! That being said, everything had whipped around once Savina had left their homeland. Leaving her siblings behind, the ebony fae had started unwittingly preparing for the whole family to have a much better life, founding Crimson Dreams and leaving Italy behind. Ehno had actually began the journey, dropping off of Ghita's radar until she too had to depart, shamed by a miscarriage and a lover who spurned her for it, however, she became almost afraid to leave into the unknown, but eventually more afraid to stay.

Now everything seemed to be falling into place, piece by piece. The fae had finally caught up with her siblings in their new land, made a home for herself there, learned to shift, and, most importantly, found the love of her life and now had two beautiful puppies to thank for it. (That's not to say that the unexpected pregnancy didn't help manners....) In any case, Ghita had become happier than she ever could have dreamed of being in Italy, the closest she had gotten was with the nomads. Now almost unable to believe that she had ever left this place, Ghita was become part of Crimson Dreams, the Marinos central figures in that pack.

Rolling onto her side, the wolvine woman barely stifled a yawn, ears flattening and whipping around as the feeling ran it's course. Several times she had nearly fallen asleep, turquoise optics dimming before eyelids crashed on top of them like waves on the beach. Her limbs betraying her at times, they begged her to release herself, fall into a quick nap before the reunion.... But Ghita wasn't well known for short cat-naps. Finally rolling off the bed and onto her hind paws, the woman took the fall gracefully, letting the exertion ripple through her body. Practically dancing across the floor in her typical way, she reached the other side of the room easily, able to hear the fire cracking through the open door. Using the doorframe to steady herself, Ghita let her head stop spinning for the moment, not about to let the exhaustion get the better of her. If Sophia and Aro had wanted to stay up all night to hear stories about the nomads, so be it. Ghita usually wasn't the sentimental type, or the one to enjoy this sort of thing, but even she couldn't deny the spark of joy that came from having both pups sitting on her lap as she wove memories from the older days.

Eyes catching the blue/green material that had been stashed in the corner days ago, it didn't take long for her hands to find it, running slender fingers through the soft fabric over and over again. Sighing in contentment, Ghita hadn't previously known of the softness of clothes, enjoying the sarong a little too much. Lifting the material and wrapping it around her chest, she let the material drop just below the knee, straight hair falling limply just behind her shoulders. There was no mirror that she could see to check her appearance, but it was unlikely she'd be dissatisfied as she wandered down the stairs, knowing her sister would be the first one, waiting.

Sure enough, she locked onto her sister's emeralds from the door, the softest of smiles gracing pierced lips. Taking a few steps further into the room, words didn't break the silence for a few more moments, allowing the Italian fae to take her place beside her sister. These moments were so few and far between, it seemed now, what with pups to raise and herds to chase after. Inside her heart, Ghita was honored to be able to snatch a few moments alone with her sister. Raising her head towards Savina, her smile spread a little further along before speech was granted into the atmosphere.
"Are we the first ones here, it seems?"

"You aren't...I am!" A little voice squeaked from behind a bookcase. Out from the shelf jumped a small, black pup, wild and energetic as ever, to greet the two older wolves. He shook off the dust covering his fur, as he had ran here right through all the furniture instead of around them like a normal civilized wolf. However, he was a child, so it could be forgiven. The little black furball then proceeded to rush at the two larger wolves, sniffing at their feet and his eye them with a small deal of scrutiny before accepting them as familiar scented folks, they were indeed his kin.

Once recognizing them as familiar, the boy again spoke in his energetic confident voice, showing he had no fear for strangers. "I've been here for about half an hour or so, daddy told me something about meeting the rest of the family around here and I just couldn't wait for them, so I came here myself!" the little bundle of energy then attempted to calm himself, trying to sit and suppress his excitement and actually introduce himself to the family members present. Turning to his mom, he chuckled and said "Don't worry mom, I made sure that this time I didn't tlak to any strangers." He said, attempting to calm her. He didn't want to get into trouble for straying off into the wild the fourth time this week, but he was just such the wanderer that he could not help it. Puffing out his chest and raising himself to his full height, he announced to the wolf he didn't know "My name is Aro Marino, son of Jazper-Rhiannon Knight and Ghita Marino!" He spoke his parent's name with pride, as in his mind, his parents were the most important people in the pack, though that wasn't true. He then wagged his tail as he asked the other two. "So who are you then lady?" He asked quickly, still circling the two other wolves with nothing but excited interest, occasionally snuggling against his mother in energetic love.

WC:300+

With the morning came his morning routine for the past couple of weeks. Roll out of bed, kiss the pups and Ghita, and head out for a morning of hanging out around the boarders. Sometimes he did not know why he bothered getting up so early just to bore himself with these tasks, but once he got going the warrior enjoyed himself. He had to stay in shape somehow! With the pups he had lost a lot of sleep, and fallen behind on his own recreation. For the past few months is had been all about keeping the family safe and then play and teaching time. There had been no such thing as spare time for music, lounging around in the library on a particularly cold morning, These were all luxuries he particularly missed in this case. Apparently becoming a parent meant giving up your time to do the things you enjoy, and spending it teaching your pups the basics of life.

It was about that time now, the time he had told Sophie and Aro to meet their mother at the manor. Savina had brought up the idea of having a Marino get together of sorts. With a sigh or boredom from the days lack of adventure the large male turned his back to the boarder and started towards the manor in a sprint. It felt good to rush somewhere, instead of gradually walking around with no real direction or reason. In short enough time he was shifted and opening the door. The scents of his family, his friends and pack mates filled the air of the mansion, as well as his nose. Each step echoed in the quiet house, most would still be out and about for a few more hours. As he turned into the common room his once tiered and bored expression grew into a gleeful smile as his ears perked up at the sight of the three family members. With new found energy the warrior headed straight for his boy, lifted him in the air and twirled him around happily before hugging him close. "Hello girls."He greeted with a wink as his golden eyes finally rested on the sisters.

omg I still know how to post. Sorry for lateness. And long post is long; just tried to do a quick intro for the pups with their descriptions. Killi, there’s some slight pp here with Rio, though I tried to keep it open-ended after the intros so you can do what you will with her. :] Let me know if you want anything changed. WC: 844

Ehno had been waiting for this moment for months. The man may have come to terms with his decision to essentially live two lives between the two sides of his family, but he never wanted them to be completely separate. It was a foolish flight of fancy to imagine that the mutual distrust between Naniko and his family at Crimson Dreams could ever be mended, but he was not resigned to the fact that his children would be separated from the rest of their family. He wanted them to be able to get to know their aunts, uncles, and cousins, to be able to visit the place their father called home without feeling like total strangers. It would be a slow process, to be sure, but Ehno was finally given the chance to make his family whole once more and he was quick to seize the opportunity.

The D’Angelo woman had been rather adamant about the children remaining with her in Phoenix Valley at first, her ill feelings toward Savina leaving no room for argument, much to Ehno’s dismay. Now that the children were older, however, he finally managed to convince her to allow the children to take a trip with him to Crimson Dreams. Naniko still wasn’t entirely pleased with the arrangement, but Ehno was too caught up in the excitement to let her grumbling get the best of him. The Marino man was quick to confer with his siblings in order to organize a little family get-together. He had departed a few days earlier to retrieve the four youngsters from Phoenix Valley. As they journeyed back to the land of Dreamers, he excitedly shared with them stories of their family and of Crimson Dreams.

The group of five had taken a rather relaxed pace as they made the lengthy journey between the two pack lands, not wanting to tire out the children during the trip. The sight of Haven Manor greeting them in the horizon called strongly to him, urging him to pick up the pace. However, the male continued the almost leisurely stroll and instead grinned with excitement, tail slowly moving to and fro behind him. As the group passed the quaint white fence surrounding the manor, he heard one of his girls marvel at the size of the building. It was so much bigger than the cabins back home, even the farm house!

Ehno climbed the porch steps quickly, moving to hold open the children. The four of them poured into the manor, taking in the strange sights of the place papa called home. He followed them inside, and if that cheerful grin of his could grow any wider, it would. The Dreamer directed them easily into the large common room of the mansion where the sight of a few of their unknown family members greeted them. The little Marinos’ explorative steps slowed slightly when they came into view, but seeing their father slip easily into their company inspired them to follow suit. “Look who’s finally arrived,” he chimed as he moved to sit beside his siblings.

“Kids, meet your aunts, Savina and Ghita,” he began, motioning to his sisters beside him, “And your Uncle Jazz and cousin Aro.” Ehno smiled brightly as he concluded his first set of introductions, amber gaze darting between the four who had already gathered. “And I would like to introduce you to Harlowe, Rio, Lucia, and Caprica,” he continued, pointing out each of the children as they were named.

Harlowe was his usual pensive and quiet self, sitting beside his father and quietly observing the strangers that were apparently his family. The boy’s lightly sandy fur and the splash of black upon his muzzle contrasted against his father’s more chocolaty pelt, an odd sort of mix of his mother’s and father’s genetics. The first of Ehno’s girls to speak up almost appeared to be a twin of her brother, with her pelt a uniform color just a few shades darker than her quiet sibling. It was Lucia, greeting the group with a loud and boisterous “Hello!” Caprica chimed in with an echo of her sister’s greeting. She was the largest of the litter by some margin, with a coat painted an inky black. She stood beside her remaining sister, Rio, whose pelt contained dark shades similar to her own.

Ehno’s heart swelled with fatherly pride. He was incredibly happy that he finally had the opportunity to unite the two parts of his family, especially after being so fearful that this day might never come. He was eager for their informal get together to really begin, once the remaining Dreamer Marinos arrived. “I guess we weren’t the last to arrive, after all,” he commented, wondering where the others could be. He knew their little gathering would already be missing one; Savina had informed him of Cambria’s reaction to the news, and he was unsurprised—though still feeling rather guilty—that she felt betrayed. He would have to seek her out later, though he had a feeling she would be doing her best to avoid him.

OOC: Sorry for being so late.

The woman had been late! She had wandered farther than she had thought that she had and now she was late! I'm late, oh so late! The queen is going to kill me for this. I'm Late! I'm LATE! the young girl had scolded herself as she ran against the snow and ice to make it back to the mansion in time to meet her family. White paws trampled through the snow, her falling into deeper patches every once and awhile when she had misjudged a patch of snow. She was getting better about running in the snow, but it still was harder than it would be for her giant of a brother, and mother and father. She was so small compared to them, but her mouth had been the tool that told people that she was there and in charge.

It took her a good ten or fifteen minutes of straight running for her to finally push her way into the door of the mansion. She had trouble opening the door, since it was so heavy and she didn't have the height or the thumbs for the handles. But she had gotten the door open with a few pushes. When she had entered, she rolled in, the door moving unexpectedly as she had thrashed into it, and it caused her to roll in comically. She was too tired from running and hitting the door for her to get up from the position she was in, and luckily, she had rolled into the room that the other Marino's had been located. She panted as she looked at all the people that were here, waiting to get started. There were so many faces that she didn't know, and it slightly scared her, but she was quick to push the feeling away and look tough and leaderly as she had finally gotten up and walked over to her mother, father, and brother. There were many other puppies in the place, bu she had ignored them for the time being as introductions were coming from the father of the pups.

"My name is Sophia Knight! Daughter of Jazper Knight and Ghita Marino." the woman spoke, nodding her head lightly as she had spoken to her family, introducing herself.

Kansas had nearly forgotten about what was happening today. He was absorbed in a book, Wuthering Heights, a dark story but one he was thoroughly enjoying. The only bad thing about being such a voracious reader was his tendency to lose track of many things, time being one of them, events being the other. Only when went to flip a page with his nose (he was an adept Lupus reader) did he realize that there was noise downstairs, the noise of a gathering. He cursed under his breath and left the book open as he stood, exited his room and headed for the living area. He entered behind a small gathering, one of Marinos and their relatives. This was important to Savina, so he cursed himself for arriving later than most of the happening's attendants. He should have been one of the very first, as Savina's mate.

He didn't want to slip into a funk of self-pity. Kansas put a smile on his face, one he knew would become geuine soon enough. He slipped in among his family, flashing awkward smiles at the wolves who comprised it. He was very happy to see his brother-in-law there, as well. Ehno was just introducing his children, and Kansas recognized with a wide-eyed stare the little girl he'd rescued from the river, Rio. She was sitting quietly with her siblings, obviously happy to be in a strange new place. Kansas was glad that she was there, unharmed by any more mishaps.

The boy made a beeline for Savina, simply because he didn't want too much time to pass until he could be near her once more. He gave her cheek a tender lick, and it was then that his smile grew real. His pale eyes searched for their children, namely Cambria. She wasn't present as he'd hoped, and he knew this was because of Ehno. The father understood her pain and resentment, but he still wished she had come, simply because the family wasn't complete without her. "Hello, everyone," he offered softly at last, to all of the wolves who had come.

Okie, let's get this moving along! People are still free to jump in if they haven't yet, but figured we should move forward Smile 500+

The fire crackled pleasantly behind her and she was anxious to see who would be the first to join her. She didn't have to wait too long for the answer though, as her sister descended the stairs and walked casually into the room and took a seat by her side. A smile had already been on her face, but it instantly grew larger at the sight of Ghita. As she sat down Savina offered a loving nudge with her muzzle, emeralds sparkling up at her littermate. "It would seem s-" she began to answer, but her words were cut off by an excited exclamation. One brow rose in confusion, searching for the owner of the young voice, when a large ball of black and white fluff exploded onto the scene. Savina couldn't contain a happy laugh at her nephew's antics, wondering if his father had been similar as a pup. As her identity was questioned she simply shook her head, lowering her face down to Aro's level. "Why Aro, I'm your aunt Savina, don't you remember? I suppose you were still pretty little when I last saw you..." Pup's memories could be fickle things in development.

Sounds of someone entering the manor distracted the Commander and her head rose back up just as Jazper came into the room, all smiles. Her tail wagged contently behind her as she watched the father and son, so happy that the kindly giant had finally gotten the family he had always deserved. Better yet, it was her own family! It was true she had been hard on him when the news of Ghita's unexpected pregnancy had first been revealed, but all that was in the past now and nothing remained but happiness for the couple and their two pups. "Greetings Jazz, I'm glad you could be here." Being the pack's main defense she knew that he was often busy, but it was good he could take the time to come to this gathering.

The door opened again, though it was clear this time that it was more than one pair of feet walking inside. The scrabbling of little paws made the woman's heart pause and her breathe held in her chest. Green eyes grew wide in anticipation at getting the first glances at her three little nieces and her other nephew. Ehno easily slipped into the group and then his first hesitant pups followed suit. Savina's tail was now beating at a frenzied pace, taking on a mind of its own. She had worried so that she would never see these beautiful faces and now that she was her heart was filled to bursting. She listened carefully as her brother introduced his children, her smile wide and warm. Once he was done speaking she lowered her head to look at each of them more carefully. "Hello to all of you! I'm so glad to finally get to meet you!" The woman hoped that they didn't have any negative, preconceived notions of her. That would surely break her heart. Her gaze lifted back to her brother. "No, you're just in time." No words were said, but her eyes perfectly conveyed how happy she was for him and how much it thrilled her to see his children.

The Italian fey's attention was again diverted as Sophia crashed into the meeting, looking like she had just gone for a mile run. She could definitely see both Jazper and Ghita in their two kids and she knew that the pack would be in for quite the ride as the two got older. There was no doubt in her mind that they would be a feisty pair that would give their parents a run for their money. Finally, her heart skipped as Kansas made his way into the group, coming to sit by her side. A happy whine came from her as he kissed her on the cheek and she returned the gesture forthwith. Looking back out on the wolves assembled there were some missing parties, but seeing so much of the family gathered together made her heart soar. "If only Mamma could see this," she said softly to her siblings. "She would be so happy." Savina felt a little moisture collect at the corners of her eyes at the thought, but pushed it a way. This was a time for celebration, not sorrow.

Yay! Table change! <33
Wc: 1325. @__@;; Long post is unintentionally long, thanks to muse taking a mind of it's own.

Feeling the ebony muzzle of her sister nuzzle her body, Ghita felt obliged to return the favor, rarely shown affection manifesting itself as the fae rested her dust-hued muzzle on top of Savina's. Closing her turquoise eyes for the moment that the affection lasted, the sister let herself take comfort in her stronger littermate, the sister she had always looked up to sparing a moment in what must be a very busy life for her sister. Just as Savina began to speak, Ghita could already hear the patter of tiny paws approaching, the mother noting the scent of her child moment before he leapt out from behind the bookcase.

Amusement flickering in her optics for a moment, Ghita couldn't help but be reminded of herself at that age and younger; wild, spontaneous, and certainly mischievous. As he ran towards the pair of them, Ghita's slender hand reached down to stroke her son's head, the action causing her entire frame to bend like a willow branch towards him. Shock and mild disappointment painted her face for a moment, feeling the dust that hadn't removed itself from his pelt now coat her fingers. "Aro; Why must you have gotten dirty before the family gets here?"

Scowling for a moment before the forgiving smile spread, the wolfess proceeded to dust the messy child off, messing with the fur on top of his head before finally becoming satisfied with it. "Your daddy is correct. Everyone is arriving soon, so behave yourself like I know you can, alright?" Unable to help herself from chuckling as her son did, slender hands propped her chin up by resting on her knees, bending as she looked at her young son. "That's quite a relief, Aro. If only the other three times this week had been similar..." A wry smile coating her lips, she ruffled his pelt one more time to show she was not angry at him before turning to Savina, mock exasperation clearly showing through. "Was Gotham ever this rambunctious as a pup? My hands are full with only one of them at once!"

Her son quickly moved on to introducing himself to Savina with a charisma that obviously had been inherited from his father. Clicking her tongue while he impolitely inquired Savina's identity, her hand still found itself on his back as the small pup ran around their legs, shaking her head as he went. "You know who this is!" Fur prickling with warmth as her sister had to identify herself to her son, Ghita couldn't help but feel embarrassed that Aro had forgotten so quickly. It was true, he had been young when the ebony fae last presented herself to him, but to the fae, it seemed something that should be known, engrained in their being as to who was their family, for better or for worse.

Speak of her family, the scent of her darker mate swept around the fae before he arrived, the bright sun around his eye instantly warming the room. A soft smile crept across Ghita's face as her mate hugged her son, the same warm and light-headed feeling approaching every time Jazper was around her. Laughing as his golden eyes met her turquoise ones, Ghita extended her now free hand to Jazper, showing her intent to hold it as her mate was around. Her own tail had started wagging, the females working in synch to create a flurry enough to disturb the dust around them. "Jaz." The simple word was uttered all alone, the look she gave him able to say more than the fae had ever been able to. I'm glad you came, thank you.

The next arrival was surrounded with more complication than Ghita had ever hoped. Her third and final littermate, her older brother Ehno was expected to come, bringing in tow the litter he had had with the ivory fae, Naniko - a former member of Crimson Dreams. Stealing a quick glance to Savina as their brother entered the room, Ghita knew all too well all sides of the story that surrounded the scenario; Cambria wasn't showing up today because of her brother and his pups, and Ghita knew Savina still reeled from the betrayal. Blinking at her brother's greeting, the smile that could not have gotten bigger did, squeezing her mate's hand for a moment before releasing it, turning her focus towards the four newest members of their family.

Although her excitement to see her new nieces and nephews paled compared to her sister's on the outside, the inner excitement was still the same, letting her gaze sweep over every hair on the pup's bodies, listening attentively as Harlowe, Rio, Lucia, and Caprica were introduced to them. Smiling, the Dreamer fae leaned against her brother a little, the mood of the day sweeping her up and allowing her to show such affection. As pups, Ehno and Savina had always been closer, leaving Ghita to her own brooding and adventures, but once Ghita had arrived in Crimson Dreams, that had taken a turn for the better. "It's good to see you, Ehno." Grinning at Lucia's and Caprica's greeting, she responded with her own "Hello there!" Before fully noting the similarities between Caprica's, Rio's and Aro's pelts.

"We're still waiting on some - my daughter, included." Ghita replied, worry beginning to slowly creep into her voice. Her daughter did know the land well, but there were all sorts of accidents that could render a pup unable to move... Before her litter had arrived, Ghita had never been such a worrywart, but now that was all her mind could think of, pulling off of Ehno's body as her heart raced, wondering where her auburn daughter had ended up.

The mother's worry was quickly remedied by none other than Sophia's frame entering the manor at long last. However, it was in an explosion of snow and ice and orange fur, as the small ball rolled into the room. Eyelids flying open to fully appreciate the scene before her, her tough little girl immediately straightening up and dusting herself off, approaching her mother. Smiling, the mother lifted her pup into her arms and settled her on her lap, both Jazper and Ghita now in possession of an offspring. Stroking her daughter's head as she spoke, the mother let the child finish before adding her own anecdote only for Sophia's ears. "I was worried you had gotten lost, caro. Everything is okay?"

Smile returning to her face now as the last honorary Marino entered the manor, Ghita offered a grin as he practically ran across the room to her sister, both craniums close to her own as the couple shared a romantic lick. Nodding her head as the greeting was offered, Ghita took it upon herself to make the surrounding strangers known to both Kansas and Sophia. "Your Uncle Ehno is right beside us, with his four children; Rio, Caprica, Harlowe, and Lucia - they're your cousins, Sophia."

Absorbed in her daughter's appreciation of the surrounding gathering, Ghita almost missed the words that Savina whispered just for the littermates. However, wolven ears had graced her, allowing her to only miss the first word that Savina spoke. Instead of the joy that Ghita should have felt at seeing almost all of her family assembled, the fae bowed her head slightly, moving a hand onto Savina's in comfort. "I'm sure that she would love to see us all here, happy and healthy like this, Savina. She'd feel badly that we were sad on her account to ruin this day." At times, Ghita could be the sage of her littermates, although the moments were few and far between. Speaking her comfort in a tone loud enough for Savina, Ehno, and Sophia to hear only, Ghita quickly blinked away the moisture she was currently fighting in her eyes, the battle won within seconds as she turned her focus back to her brother. "Was the trip over here all right, Ehno?"
