It was raining again. She hated rain, the thing that reminded her of sadness. She decided to stay close to her home due to this and so she was out just getting fresh air. She had stayed in the home for too long and no matter how much she didn't want to, she ventured out into the one thing she hated. In her Optime form, she had a blue scarf around her neck with a blue umbrella to shield her from the rain. She hardly uses such a thing but today she just didn't feel like getting wet. She aimlessly walked, looking at her surroundings and passing many homes. Some were taken and some were free. Which was which, she didn't exactly know which was why she didn't dare to venture into one unless she really needed to.

She wished it would stop raining. It rained so much here. Her expressionless face changed into that of a sad face for a moment. The rain reminded her of the rain in her heart and it hurt. She shook her head. She didn't want to start remembering and so she started to count the rocks. As she walked, she was began to grow bored of counting things so she figured she should head back. She stopped for a second and looked up to the sky, allowing the rain to hit it for a second. She looked as though she was pleading for it to stop raining. She knew this was futile but she did it anyway. She probably looked strange but she didn't care.

Today Rikka was sitting closer to the mouth of her cave, wishing to do her best to escape the demons that haunted her in the shadows. Right now, in the back each breath of wind felt like the horrible breath of that monster and if she had stayed back there she would have surely gone mad. The slashes on her hip had mostly healed up and she could only assume that the torn flesh of her arm had as well, however her broken bone was still mending and so the wrapping her brother had put on it was still in place. Part of the hybrid wanted to go out and get some fresh air, but the rain kept her inside. She didn't want to get the wrapping around her arm and across her chest wet. Gabriel had more important things to tend to than re-wrapping his sister's broken arm.

Her dulled golden eyes looked out into the curtain of rain dully, a sigh issuing from her chest. Part of the woman missed the sun, but another part thought that seeing it would only serve to make her sadder. Rikka didn't have the capacity to be happy about anything right now and finding no joy in the sun's bright rays would surely only serve to make her weep. She was still broken from the attack. Her body was healing fine, but her psyche was having a harder time of it. Her nights were plagued with nightmares and she could never get comfortable with her injured arm. Nothing was right and everything was wrong. Dark circles underlined her eyes, only furthering her look of exhaustion.

A bright color in the dullness of the world caught her eye and she looked out to it. It was another coyote, with an umbrella. Whoever it was she hadn't met them and some company could be nice. She wasn't her usual sociable self, but company did help to keep the demons away. "Hey," she called out weakly. "You can come in here, get out of the rain, if you want..."

Thankfully, she had an umbrella to shield her from the falling water. However, the rain managed to dampen her spirit for she disliked rain. Due to this undesired event, she stuck close to home. Despite her dislike in rain, she didn't feel like being stuck at home. She needed fresh air and so she decided to put up with it. She passed many homes and her golden stare fell on many sights. As expected, she didn't run into anyone. Not that she was looking for anyone. She was a shy girl and so she wasn't very outgoing. She took the time to look to the sky, pleading for a break in the cloud and for the rain to end. It was a useless plead but she did it anyway. It wasn't long before she heard a voice and she turned to see who had spoken to her.

Her eyes fell upon a coyote in her optime form. At first, she just looked to her with her expressionless face. However, she decided it was best to get out of the rain now. It wasn't good to stay in it for long. One could get sick staying out in weather like this. So she made her way to the stranger and entered the house. However, she made sure to shake the umbrella outside so she didn't want to get anyone or anything wet. After she was finished, she closed it and held it in her black hands. Facing her greeter, she decided to make her appreciation known. "Thank you. I appreciated it." She said. Though her words rung true her face lack any change. That was normal of her and many probably understood. She even had trouble faking a smile. They always looked unreal and so she just stopped trying. Therefore, a smile was a rare sight on Haruhi's face. There was no reason for her delay but she just noticed the bandage on the girls arm. Her golden eyes stared at it and she frowned. "Um, what happened?" She asked, without thinking of how the question may affect the other. However, it didn't take long for her to realize that it may be a touchy subject and removed her stare from the girl's arm to her face. "I'm sorry. It's really not my business. My name is Haruhi, by the way." She said, looking a bit nervous as she began to fiddle with her own fingers.

No worries! ^^ 300+

The coyote outside looked to her, though her face was unreadable, probably very similar to her own. For a moment she wasn't sure if the other would accept her offer or not, but then the girl approached and shook off her umbrella before entering the cave. It was very courteous of her to try and keep as much of the water out of Rikka's home as she could, and the effort was appreciated even if it wasn't shown on the woman's drawn features. The girl spoke her thanks, but her face remained immobile. Something about her reminded Rikka of Vieira and she wondered if she had lived a similar sad life to the poor slave girl. It had been a long time since she had seen the false Lykoi and she wondered how she was doing. It was probably best for both of them if they stayed apart though. She knew she made Vieira very uncomfortable, despite her best efforts. "It's no problem." Her own face stayed fairly neutral as well, nothing like the Rikka that would have been seen a couple months back.

The question was expected, though it didn't stop her from frowning at the thought of what had happened to her. The girl was quick to apologize, but it wasn't necessary. It was only natural for her to ask such a question when someone was so clearly injured as Rikka was. The de le Poer shook her head, indicating it was okay. "It's okay, you don't have to apologize," she said in a flat tone. "I was attacked, right after the war started." She could say that much, but going into it more than that would be painful. She would try, if Haruhi was still curious, but the details would be minimal. She had relived it enough as it was. "I'm Rikka, it's good to meet you." Looking around for a moment and noticing the girl's fidgeting fingers she managed a weak smile that quickly disappeared again. "You can sit down, if you want." Just because she wasn't her usual self didn't mean she couldn't be hospitable.

Haruhi was a polite and respectful girl. She didn't want to get the other's home wet and so did all she could do to keep as much water out of her home as possible. The best she could do was to shake the umbrella before entering and that was just what she did. Though she thanked her without a change in her facial expression, it was still sincere. Her response seemed a little neutral as well.

When she looked at the other more, she noticed her injured harm. She frowned and felt concerned about it. Without a thought, she questioned about it. It was only a little later when she realized that it may be uncomfortable to talk about so she apologized. She felt relieved when she said it was fine. She would have smile if it was something she could do. She learned that she was attacked and reminded that there was a war. That's right, when she came they were in the middle of one. She has yet to come across any trouble and she was happy about this fact. She didn't think she would be of any help. She wasn't the best fighter and she was small. She would be more of a burden than help. She didn't press for more questions. That was all she needed to know. "Oh...I'm sorry." She said, still frowning slightly.

Soon she learned her name. "Rikka," she repeated. "It's, um, nice to meet you too." She fidgeted with her fingers, a habit she always did when she was nervous. Her weak smile came and went as she offered a seat. "Um, sure. Thanks," She said with a soft nod. It was really nice of her to offer a seat. So she turned to head to a seat and would only move in more when she moved.

Clearly I'm slow too, so don't fret XD; 300+

She was glad that Haruhi didn't press her for more information regarding her incident with Haku Soul. Talking about it wasn't something she enjoyed in the least. She knew keeping it all inside probably wasn't the healthiest thing, but bringing it up was too painful. She was in enough pain without bringing the psychological wounds closer to the surface. Hopefully she could start to feel like she was healing soon, but so far she was still stuck in more or less the same state of mind. Out of instinct she shrugged slightly at the response, a wince crossing her face as pain shot through her broken arm. That had been a stupid move on her part. "It happens in times like this, I suppose..." With war came unspeakable amounts of pain and death and misery and all the things that stifled her otherwise bright spirit. Inferni had always had its conflicts, but she had not expected to return here just in time for a full fledged war. It certainly wasn't helping her to recover at all.

"No problem," she said as Haruhi slowly took a seat in the cave. Rikka leaned her head back against the wall of the cave, a soft sigh exhaling from her lungs. How did such delicate flowers end up in a place like this, she wondered. What was the appeal? She had family here, that was her reason for living in the clan, but what of this coyote? Far as she could tell she was no Lykoi, so what would attract a timid girl such as this to the dangerous clan. The only thing that came to mind was protection, because she was a coyote, but surely there were other packs here who accepted coyotes. "What brought you here, to Inferni? If you don't mind my saying, you don't seem to fit the usual M.O." Perhaps it was too invasive a question, but Rikka couldn't help her curiosity.
