What is it with this particular coast making him unwittingly trespass? At least this time it wasn’t a known rival’s land. Actually his mind was on that peculiar wolf as he walked. What was he doing now? Had he learned to speak up more? The fellow was interesting to say the least. But Marik avoided going that way. Instead he turned for the south. He found his way to the opposite end of the coast instead. There were few that stuck out in his mind. But it had been the boy named Minos that had left one of the biggest impressions on him. But that could just be because the other had sent him into a spiral of depression. He had sat on that beach long after Minos had ran off. It had been luck that no one else had stumbled across him. He even had said very little to his brother that night when he finally headed back to the mansion. Instead he had blamed it on being tired from exploring and went right to sleep. But that encounter had shaken something within him. There were actually those that could hate him for what he couldn’t help being. He had no control over what his father was or where his brother lived. And for just those two things he was hated. He hadn’t shown any ill will but that hadn’t mattered in the least. The other had turned tail on him and had run as if his life had depended on it. So even though his thoughts reached out towards the other he made sure that his steps didn’t take him in that direction. He wasn’t ready for another confrontation such as that. He had no prejudices against anyone so he really didn’t expect such a thing. It just blew his mind

His path was entirely aimless as it usually was. But this time he wasn’t even taking in his surroundings. He could hardly care where he was headed. None but his brother would care if he returned at nightfall. And that was because they had this habit of snuggling at night. The cold of the nights were made bearable when there was body heat to share. As well as it helped to dispel loneliness. So it might seem strange for others but it was their way of coping. Marik was out of his element in this country and Cotl was used to being kept alone, so that made it a reassurance for both of them. A silent acknowledgment that as long as they had each other they would never be alone. Still it didn’t lessen Marik’s want for friends. Though after his encounter with Minos he wondered if that was even possible. Was part coyote all anyone ever saw? Even though he had a more doggish look. Were they all judging him on what he couldn’t help being? Is that why he had no friends like he did in Germany? At the moment he would even settle for the without the benefits sort, though his term of friendship always included benefits. That was just how desperate he was.

He trudged along the shoreline, dark thoughts starting to weigh on his mind again. This really wasn’t much like him at all. But he couldn’t exactly help it. It seemed to be the answer for many things. The darkening of the sky and the imposing storm was ignored. But then again he was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn’t even notice such a thing. Though it wasn’t like he was afraid of a little rain anyways. But how quaint was it for a storm to rest on the eve of his brooding thoughts? Not that his mood had any effect on the weather at all.

OOC: Don’t worry about it, I fully understand Big Grin

WC:333

he’d been climbing a tree near the shoreline to get a better look of a bird he’s spotted nesting and wanted to check to see if there were eggs, it was only a bird though, not his biggest interest in the raptors but birds tended to mate around the same time he noticed, and he was just documenting things in his head about habits of any bird he could find, he was disappointed to find the nest empty, of coarse… it was still way too early for eggs and such, he climbed down disappointed, and slipped on the last branch and fell to the ground, the mud that use to be snow broke his fall, but gave him a patch of dark brown on his rump.

Grumbling words that his sister would slap his mouth for and say those weren’t proper or what not, he stood rubbing his sore rump, turning around he saw another wolf, no not a wolf, but a coyote, this made him put his guard up, but if he hadn’t learned anything from his sister it was that judging books by their cover wasn’t the way to go, besides, maybe he was a member of this pack? He didn’t know everyone, and he could just be scared because of the news of a war, if there was one, this newcomer wouldn’t be wandering around alone. Niro looked around to check and see if he was actually alone or not. Just as he thought no one was there, he remembered, the coyote saw his embarrassing fall.

Uh, hi,

He said his cheeks glowing red under his grey and mud splotched fur. How embarrassing, falling out of a tree, now he felt more exposed that his rump was all muddy, but he didn’t turn tail and run though

I don’t believe we have met, my name is Niro,
he was too wary to hold out his hand to this stranger, but he gave a respectful bow of the head.
