Drilled a wire through my cheek

Would you like this to be short and sweet or full blown threadness? :o

She felt bad, really, that she hadn't gotten out sooner to go and try to visit her brother. They'd agreed that they would meet in the city every now and then and Rachias hadn't shown up there in quite some time. Was he going there every day to try and find her? The girl would have liked to think so but somehow she doubted it. Did he like being around her as much as she liked being around him? Cream and caramel colored hybrid didn't stop running until the point that her paws met the concrete of the sidewalks, which were broken and sometimes shaky as she walked over them. Her chest heaved for breath, panting, but she didn't stop walking just because of this.

Her nose was immediately to the ground, breathing deeply both to search out his scent and to fill her desperate lungs. If he was around the city she would find him, that was for certain, but it would be a bit harder while she was catching her breath. The girl didn't let this deter her though, she had much to tell him, perhaps a bit of apologizing, and frankly she was tired of waiting around for it.

In fact, Arkham did spend a lot of time hanging around the house they'd picked out, but he didn't think much about the reasons why. Certainly he missed his sister and looked forward to seeing her whenever he could, but he also liked the area in general and even without Rachias there, enjoyed rooting through every corner of the house and occasionally the surrounding homes. At home on the beach, it was Gabriel and Faolin's house and he didn't feel at liberty to change and move things around as he pleased. There in the Sanctuary, he could redecorate as he pleased and had become obsessive to some degree, cleaning the dust and debris from the rooms and making the place more habitable in general.

Today though, he was tired of cleaning and had gone back into the city to look for things to fill the house with. Home was filled with books and more books, but while the coyote boy had yet to read most of them, he liked their presence and thought he might find some for his own house. He didn't know where the library was, but saw cream and white fur moving along in the distance. Grinning vaguely to himself, he made his way towards his sister. Hey, what're you looking for?

Despite the many things that Rachias had to tell her brother she had yet to plan out exactly where to start. Perhaps she could start with what had happened at that pack meeting and then that she moved in with Ahren for a while. Telling him that something had gone bad between herself and her father might be the best thing to do though, she pondered over that thought as she walked along. It was no secret that her brother was nervous about what their father might be capable of, no matter how many times Rachias tried to reassure him that it was all fine. This situation was different though and, not liking to keep anything a secret from Arkham, she'd decided that she would bring it up.

Lost in the random thoughts that rushed around her head, Rachias didn't even notice Arkham until the words hit her ears. She jolted to attention then, stopping in her tracks and spinning around to face him. "I was looking for you!" The girl chirped at him, smiling and giving a sudden wag of her tail at the fact that he was actually here, like she had been hoping. "I came over here hopin' you'd be here so we could talk and stuff cause uhh.. well.. I should have come sooner." She felt a bit bad about it but knowing Arkham he wouldn't really care so much about that.

It was strange in a way, how easily he found himself smiling at Rachias's enthusiasum. For most others, the indifference of his youth (well, he was still young, but growing up fast) remained steadfast. He was not particularly interested in the drama of people -- their joys and their woes did not have very profound an effect on him. For his family, he nurtured stronger feelings, but he rarely smiled around his elder siblings and even Faolin and his new nieces and nephews. It wasn't so much that he thought about keeping a straight face though; he was just that way. Or maybe it was just that most of the people around him were also quite mellow and it was only his sister's off-the-wall energy that drew the grin from him.

There was a nervousness to Rachias's voice though and Arkham perked his ears at her. What'd you need to talk about? He was careful not to jump to conclusions, though worry was already there in the back of his mind. His littermate didn't look hurt physically, but he was sure that harm could be done without leaving any obvious marks. The world was more complicated than that. How are you? The coyote boy sat down and waited patiently for an answer.
