Jaz. Still trying to get Minos' new attitude off the ground...

Yellow eyes looked skyward, an act that he was new to. The moon was shadowed by a thin layer of clouds, their color and weight lightened by the fresh snowfall. The while male blended in with the newborn winter scene, each branch held their own pillow of flakes. Another beast would think it beautiful, another would care. Minos was beginning to find the world around him more then just smells, and moving objects categorized into prey or threat. It was more, there was just more. The canines that lived among his ranks, and those beyond the pack were more then what he once believed. The act of believing beyond his instincts was still a bit unnerving but the ability to change from his slim self to the one he used now was becoming something practiced.

He contemplated the moon, its pull and its persuasion over him. It only took a moment, and then the male returned to the ground, nose along the snow and picking up the strangers that lived among these lands. He wondered who it was, and if they were friend or foe to the Dahlia pack. Just a brief exploration of the area had been premeditated and yet his halfling form found no fear in crossing the borders.

The night air was fresh, and crisp as the large brute drew in a deep breath. The cool air tickled his nose and throat as he took a deep breath. The world was beginning to warm slightly however, the snow clung to the ground and trees holding their grip as though refusing to leave him be. The winter had been drawn out, the warm weather was approaching yet the white fluff never left his sight. It was a wonder the pups loved it so much. For a dark furred wolf, snow was not always good for hunting. The day time was no use for hunting so, Jazper resorted to having a nap in the evening and going on a night patrol, hunting in the cover of the night.

He loved night time, the world was so quiet. Aro and Sophia were tucked into bed being told storied from their mother, the members of the pack were all safe and sound within the manor's strong walls and the sound of owls, and distant howls were the only disturbance to the otherwise silent night. He took each step lightly, allowing only for the tiniest sound to be made, he would not catch a thing if he made to much noise at night. As he walked along a strange, unfamiliar scent began to gentle nudge itself into his nose. Curiously, the Knight started toward the strange smell, letting the night and the trees cover his jet black body. Paw prints began to appear and his heart began beating rapidly, there was a stranger in their territory. Quickly, his speed hastened, the snow crunching under his own giant set of claws. Finally, the warrior found himself skidding to a halt right in front of a young white male. “Can I help you?” He asked in a deep growl.

Big Grin

The place had an interesting scent, and the heavy scent of female lingered just about everywhere. There were many, Minos could figure and just as the urge to no longer be the silent and cowering beast resided in him another one rose as well. It was a shiver, quickening his pace and driving him forward with a little less caution. But such a thing did not last long, for his travelings did not go unnoticed. Minos smelt the beast before the massive creature was seen. The dark wolf filled his view easily, his anger laced words filling his ears and almost driving him backwards. Almost. Eyes narrowed, the fur on his back bristling and the skin of his neck and back were exposed to the chilled air. Neck extended forward to sniff the fellow, and found the same feminine scent that he had once before.

Mino responded with his own vocal display, a low growl that was felt deep in his gut. The words were needed, he learned, to fill the silence and divert attention from his true cause. Lies, this new blood of his and these strange creatures that lived for things beyond food and shelter had taught him to lie. "What is this place called?" The question masked his intention, an intention that was new to the male and thus confusing. Minos slowly took a few rounded steps to the left, not approaching and yet not backing away.
