Your choice if he would like to get pecked at by a bird and led to the borders XD emby talks to animals. Also, can we backdate this by a few weeks? Or would that mess anything up?

It had been a very, very long ride to Inferni. Ember hadn’t realized how long of a trip it would be when she had first started it, and thanked the heavens that she had remembered to pack some meat and her fire-starting kits. She’d ended up stopping a little over halfway there to set up camp for the night, having worn a backpack that strapped around her front legs. The female was spending some time getting to know herself a little better and had been doing so for the last few weeks, trying to stay in her unshifted lupus form as much as possible. It wasn’t that she didn’t like the optime form…just that she felt like she needed a change. This was something that she could control and change.

The four-legged wolf trotted along at a pretty steady pace, somewhere between a walk and a jog, going around trees and leaping over fallen logs without pause. She was used to traveling and running, having trained each morning for months in just such a way, and was a creature of endurance. Her breath came out in even pants, not labored but not normal breathing either. She kept a comfortable pace.

She was slowly getting to where she felt a little better, but was still often plagued by thoughts of the demon puppies that she had tried to destroy. They were never supposed to be born…they were never supposed to have happened in the first place. Who could blame her for wanting to get rid of something that she had never chosen to give birth to in the first place? Ember had been forced into it and had lost her position as a leader and had lost months and months of training during her pregnancy. They’d been nothing but trouble.

They were gone now…out of sight and out of mind. The female still found herself depressed and felt alone quite often, but her friend Moonfyre lived with in the village and he kept an eye on her. It was sad that someone had to watch her to be sure that she didn’t do something stupid to herself, though, like she had attempted in the past. There were nights when she could do nothing but sit and stare at the wall, unmoving, unfeeling, and other nights where she felt nearly normal again. It depended on the night.

She glanced up to the sky and growled a bit to herself; it looked as if it were about to start raining at any moment, now, which put a dampener on the generally neutral mood that she had been feeling for most of the day. Ember hurried a little more, approaching Inferni’s border. She sat down beyond the line of scent that separated the clan, now unsure of whether she ought to howl or sit and wait. Maybe she would send a bird or something in to peck at Cotl and let him know that she was here for a visit.

OOC: oct 1 is the date <3 +5

This morning had been relatively cold. Cold enough for Cotl's tiny belly hairs to stand up and little goose bumps to form on his shaved stomach. The man had been up earlier than normal this morning, finding himself becoming restless these nights at around 4 'o clock in the morning, and instead of laying around on the couch downstairs and trying to sleep again, he had decided to take out Maschine for a early morning border patrol. He'd make sure to bring his sword with him on his patrol, for defense, and also just in case he needed to cut something. He'd also make sure to check his traps while he was out, because he also had a case of the early morning munchies. If he was lucky he would have trapped some sort of bird in a higher placed trap that he had been placing in the trees. With it so far, he'd been getting chipmunks and the occasional opossum. He'd wanted to get birds though, because he'd been wanting to eat something else besides rodents. It'd been too long since he had some other meat. With him grabbing his sling backpack, he was out of the mansion and into the shed/barn to get the sleeping Maschine.

The stallion nickered softly and woke up at the sound of his master walking into the shed. Blue eyes would sit on Cotl's form as the man would approach the horse and pet his neck to greet the stallion. He looked over the horse really quick to make sure that Maschine did not receive any lacerations between the time he had last seen the stallion and now. Once the check over was done, Cotl walked his horse out of the shed to the cold outside. Cotl softly inhaled the crisp air, and exhaled, the moisture coming from his lungs freezing upon hitting the outside air and causing a cloud of white to form. It'd been pretty cool this morning, the wind blowing hard enough for a nice breeze to be rolling in the Inferni territory. It also looked as if it would be getting ready to rain. It wasn't like Cotl minded the rain anyways. The two would be off towards the borders after Cotl had mounted his steed. He'd ride into the night, a few interjections yelled into the air every few minutes or so just because he was who he was.

In the middle of his ride, all of a sudden a blue jay flew up to Cotl and started to attack ears, though in a suggestive way, not in a way to hurt him, just to merely get his attention. Cotl was startled and tried to shoo it away, but it wouldn't leave and then for whatever reason, the bird started to fly away, and without his consent, Maschine took off after the bird. Cotl had held onto the horse for his life, again, startled because of the randomness of Maschine and this damn bird. Eventually, Cotl regained his composure and tried to pull the horse away since they were passing a whole bunch of Cotl's traps that were already snapped and had some prey. Maschine refused to stop and still followed the bird all the way to the borders, where there was a black wolven sitting there, her acid green eyes looking around for something. He would be that someone as he recognized the smell and the sight of the woman. It was none other than the woman he had gotten Maschine from. Ember Phoenix. She also happened to be one of Cotl's favorite wolves. Cotl put a wicked grin on his face as he let Maschine trot up to the woman. Cotl would dismount the steed as soon as Maschine would get close and bi-colored eyes would be fixed on the woman in her lupus form. Ember! Vas du doing heres? -NYEH- he then really looked at her, noticing that her modifications had been ripped out. He couldn't help but wonder right off the bat what happened. Curiosity was a weakness of his you could say. Antipathy was a curse. Vas happened? the man asked, ear twitching lightly and head cocking to the right as he had walked up a little bit closer to the woman.

She had thought to bring her horse on the long journey to Inferni, but had chosen to leave the animal behind. Ember trusted Bayard and knew that he could get her there, but she had no idea whether the animal would be safe once she got to the lands. She thought that Cotl had said that she was welcomed to come to Inferni to see him, but maybe her memory was faulty. She didn’t want to risk her horse’s life because of her crappy memory, in case they were ambushed or something. Bayard had understood this and bid her a goodbye after offering her a few alternatives. He could carry her partway there or most of the way, he’d offered. But she had said no.

A beautiful horse appeared from the brush a little while after she had sent her bird off into the woods. It had agreed readily enough to go and bother the coyote, thinking that it would be fun, and it flitted out of the woods ahead of Cotl, disappearing into the surrounding woods. The Inferni member that she had been hoping to see sat upon the pretty equine, dismounting when he neared her. She was shorter than him in her lupus form and looked up as he neared. She smiled up at him, then shrugged when he opened his mouth to ask her a question. ”What, no hug? Just a ‘what are you doing here’? I thought I remembered you sayin’ I could come by…must’ve been mistaken” She joked a bit.

Much had happened to her, and she wasn’t sure where to begin. It was best just to tell the truth, or…parts of the truth. He didn’t need to know how her pups had died, just that they weren’t around. Ember had been telling everyone in the pack that they were still-born. ”My pups are dead. For the best, though…they would have been in-bred and were the spawn of that demon wolf. But I don’t wanna talk ‘bout it too much more… What have you been doing here in Inferni? Stayin’ outta trouble?” Talking about him was easier. She had visibly changed, her facial expression hardening, body stiffening slightly, when she spoke of the pups. Ember looked beyond his gaze and into the forest surrounding them. Would he let her in?

Ember had given him some joking words that had hit the ears of the German. Cotl let a wicked smile rest on his lips, a normal occurrence for the woman, simply because Cotl did not know how to smile innocently at all. It wasn't in his nature to put on an innocent smile, simply because there was no innocence left within Cotl Ulrich, even though...Well, Cotl didn't think that there was any innocence left. He merely believed that he was born evil. He'd been forced to believe that since he was a pup, so why the hell not? Cotl held that wicked grin there on his lips as he had taken a few more steps forward to actually give the woman a hug. When he'd come within a close proximity of the woman he would wrap his rusted arms around the woman's shoulders and he pulled her in to where their bodies touched, rust and ebon fur mingling for that good hug that he would give to her. "Dere, das betters?-FUCKSHIZNIT-" the man would ask, same grin on those lips as he had looked at her with his bi-colored eyes, and he had taken a step back, letting the embrace fade away and dropping his hands down to his sides to let the hang there loosely. Maschine had taken a few steps forward and he threw his head up at the woman and greeted her with a whinny and a horsey smile. It's nice to see you again Ember! the stallion called out to the woman.

The woman would then go on about what happened, but not particularly what he was talking about. She had spoken about "puppies" and how they were dead, inbred and spawn of a demon wolf. Demon wolf? Did she mean the one who started the war between Dahlia and Inferni? The woman would also tell him about how she did not want to really get into that. 'Curiosity killed the Cotl' is how the saying should have gone considering on how much he wanted to ask about what exactly she was talking about. He wondered when she even got pregnant, and how she would know, simply because they did have an escapade a while back.. Apparently the children weren't his because she had said something about some other wolf. It didn't kill his curiosity too much. He still wanted to ask, but the man also wanted to respect the woman's wishes. Instead, he pulled a wicked grin back on his face (it'd faded into a frown as she had told him the news and he thought about how he wanted to ask questions) and he twitched his neck to the right and cleared his throat.

"Ich vasn't so much askings about das, -IDOKOKAIN-I vants knows vhats happens to piercings. Dey look ripped out, did someone hurts you Ember?" he ended up asking questions anyways, him not even bothered by the fact that she might decide to lie to him about the piercings and what happened to them. He also would honor her two questions she had given to him just after he cleared his throat harshly. "Ich founds outs dat ich has ein son, daughter, und ein niece und nephew. Mein son und mein nephew are en Inferni. -GOSUCKABIGFATDICK- Ich gots promoted to Caelum from Imaginifer...uhmm.. " the man spoke to the woman, telling her what all has been going on and reminding himself of how much Izaak had been bothering him lately, while his silent son, Sascha, was just that; silent. He also trailed off, thinking about what else he had done in the last few months that she had been in the absence of him. "Ja, Ich stays out auf troubles." the man had spoken to the woman as he had crossed his hands over his broad chest. "vould du likes to joins mich en die mansion fur lunch?" he randomly asked as he had motioned towards the forest where his traps would be placed for him to clean out still.

The hug did make her feel better, and she smiled and nodded when he released her from the embrace. Inferni smelled odd to her, different from home, but it wasn't really a bad smell, in her opinion. It had an odd twang to it, but it wasn't horrible or anything. Cotl smelled like that, too, along with a mix of other scents. Probably the scents of the other coyotes. He didn't ask her any more about the pups and for that she was glad. She would have come long before now to let him know if they had been his children; from the gestation and the coloration of them, she knew that they had been Haku's.

She waved at his horse when it spoke to her, smiling. "It is nice to see you again as well" But then her attention was caught by Cotl once more. He questioned the ripped piercings and her sleek ears went back for a second. She had taken them out herself, or, ripped them out, when she had been in some sort of a rage...and wasn't sure how to describe it. ”I wanted to look different..than I looked back then. I didn't like what I saw when I looked at my reflection and wanted them gone, right then...I just pulled them off. I was pissed off” She said.

Cotl had children here in Inferni, he explained to her. ”Do you get to be around your kid very often? What's he like?” She asked, nodding at the invitation to go and eat at the mansion. If she was with him, then she would be safe inside of Inferni, she felt. Besides...AniWaya and Inferni weren't on bad terms anyway. ”And congratulations on the promotion--what's the difference between those two ranks?” She was curious about Inferni's culture.

ooc:I fail on the wait on this. Completely sorry T.T wc:783

Maschine would give a prompt nod of his massive head to the black wolfess as she had told him that it had been nice to see him again. Maschine was happy to see Ember, for she had been the wolf to tend to the herd he was born in, so she had always been there for the horses, and she was able to talk to them, unlike the coy-dog that traded some piercings for the stallion. He was not mad that he was given to Cotl though, for the male was a good companion, even if he was weird and twitchy. Maschine gave a happy nod before looking back at Cotl with his blue eyes. Cotl was looking at Ember, waiting for her explanation of her ripped piercings. When she did explain, he found the explanation to be viable in a weird, female way. Cotl honestly would never rip out his piercings if he was angry. He'd have to be on some hardcore drugs to even think about ripping his piercings out. For one, he loved the shit out of his rings, and for two, Cotl was not so much into the pain he would have to bare when such things would be ripped out like that. Cotl shrugged his broad shoulders and gave a frown. He did not speak though, finding nothing needing to be said about such thing. Cotl let the silence drop between them before the woman would continue about Sascha, asking what he was like, how often Cotl hung around Sascha. Ich sees ihr every morning. Every nacht. -COCKFACELIAR- He's ein very quiets. He kann nicht speaks. Someding happens to his throats. he spoke to the woman, his left ear twitched as he turned his head briefly towards the mansion. Cotl thought about the untold things that he had witnessed weeks earlier between his son and his brother/cousin, but he'd prefer that those things were kept in the dark about the family, because that was not something that Cotl would even want to begin to explain.

His name ist Sascha. -NYEH-He travels here froms mein home, Deutschland. Ich nicht knows dat Ich had ein kinder. Cotl would speak, his neck giving a good twitch before he held his eyes on the black and brown wolfess. He looked in her acid green eyes, just to look there, a pause for a moment, just to look at her for no reason other than to really just look. Perhaps he was trying to see into her soul or something. The fire-ice eyes of his would move off of her when she would ask the differences between the two ranks he had switched from. Imaginifer ist die artist of die clan.-FUCKSHITFACE- Caelum ist die lead scout. the man would speak to the woman before she would take him up on his offer to go to the mansion and go eat some food. He would motion for her to follow, and he would start to walk away from her, deciding not to ride and to just walk with Ember instead. Maschine would follow behind the two, lazily following them really, not worrying about the two disappearing too much.

Cotl would lead the three animals to the traps he had set, and skilled fingers would take the prey that had been caught (or just the tripped wires) and unwrap and fix the traps back up, ready for the next meal that he would get from them. Cotl showed his skill fearlessly with the woman, letting her know that he knew many things besides just tattooing and piercing. What kind of 'yote would he be if he couldn't hunt anyways? He wouldn't be much of a dog either. He'd be a failure to the canid species. Cotl didn't need that on his chest. He'd caught only four rabbits this time, enough for the family, but no extra. Cotl would think hard about it, and then decided that Marik or Izaak could find their own food, or he could catch something later for them hopefully. He wasn't too worried about sharing with Ember and not with his family for once. So once they were done walking around to look at traps that were on the way to the mansion, Cotl would lead Ember and Maschine to the gate of the mansion, push it open, and leave it open when everyone as inside, and then he'd trot up to the door. Maschine would run off to munch on some roots towards the pond. Once Cotl was on the porch, he looked at Ember and then he opened the door for her. After du. the man spoke, not failing to clear his throat roughly after he had spoken.

It's alright :] But please, please, please watch your writing. You should be writing in third person, past tense. Instead of saying "Cotl would open the door for them" it should be phrased as "Cotl opened the door for them". I get very confused with what has actually happened and what he "would" do.

She nodded when he spoke of his son. A quiet boy, Cotl's? No. The male had always been very talkative to her. But then if his son hadn't been raised around him, maybe he would end up different. Ember never really wondered what her kids would be like. They would have been evil, she felt certain. They would have been rapists, murderers, and probably worse.

She walked alongside Cotl through the forests of Inferni, taking in the surrounding. She didn't even bother trying to smell anything out with the mish-mash of scents surrounding her, simply walking and observing the things around her. They got to his traps then came toward the mansion and she looked up at it. Such a big building! Ember walked through the gate when he held it for them. ”Thanks.”

Ember walked through the front door, waiting for him before going any farther in. Even with Cotl she still had the nagging feeling that she was in trouble, somehow. Or that she would be if he was discovered with her here. ”This is a really nice place...I like it”
