The Better Days

OOC. Set early morning, around 10am, only a few miles from the border of CdM. Kambujiya is in Optime form.
IC.

The snow was starting to fall more often, littering the ground in a pristine white coat as it stretched out for miles around the pack he called home. It made him smile, glad that winter was there. His first winter. It had been filled with trials that he hoped to have passed with brilliant colors, though he somehow knew he hadn't really.

His day, like many others, had started at home but quickly moved to lead him out of the pack lands and onto the Shattered Coast. Now amongst the adult ranks, the boy felt he could travel a farther distance without inciting too much distress in those who knew him. It made the travel from his home in Lunenburg to the wet coastline an easier one to make. He didn't feel as guilty to run away from the presence of the two new puppies who were born to his pseudofamily.

A heavy sigh escaped the russet male as he kicked a rock back into the rolling waves of the sea, brown eyes studying the grey waters solemnly. He loved his home, having spent the good part of his young life within the care of King Vigilante and the rest of the pack, but he felt misplaced in his home. He had no family of his own, and they had moved on to have their own children. It left him morose, a fact he tried to hide quite valiently.

His fingers clenched, the pads squeezing against each other and losing some of the dark color. A twitch of the ear followed, before he finally sat down on the bare coast, letting the frigid water wash up over his toes.

I’ll try again – I replied to one of your other open threads a couple of months ago, but you never answered.. So that’s how Axelle saw him first =] WC: 258

Shattered coast in the winter time made being on the beach weird to her. Axelle padded along the sand alone as usual. The last time she had been here she had thought she saw a puppy. The puppy had beautiful red fur and she would’ve loved to have a conversation with him, but he vanished just like the way he appeared. She thought of this as weird, but maybe, just maybe, he had run away seeing her weird colors or something. Who knew?

All this thinking had Axelle’s mind in such a twist that she didn’t notice the same puppy coming up quickly. When she finally reclaimed her mind she almost keeled over when she saw the same pup. Now a lot more grown since then, but the same one. She looked around. There wasn’t really anywhere for him to hide and disappear so she needed to make it known to herself that she wasn’t crazy.

She cautiously approached him, not covering as much ground as she was before she spotted him. She was slowly walking towards him now, and seeing he was in a daze looking towards the sea, she sat some ways away from him. It wasn’t close, but it wasn’t far either. If she spoke loud enough, he would be able to hear her.

Beautiful isn’t it?

She was looking straight at him. She wouldn’t know if he would remember her because she didn’t know if he truly saw her that day or not. Her pelt colors were not something many wolves could forget, though.
