Welcome to the rain~!

OOC : [Thanks James.] Looking to get to know everyone~! This is happening around noon-ish, or early afternoon of April 4th.

He wasn't sure how to feel, a lot had happened very fast for him. Unfortunately, last night by the time they had gotten to the cave systems, he was on the verge of passing out. After being shown a place to rest, he had fallen asleep much earlier then he'd expect and woken up much later then he'd like. He hadn't seen Selene or the other wolf, whose name slipped his mind at the moment, yet.

Even still he'd managed to make his way back to the entrance from last night. He'd a few wolves when he managed to look around, however they looked busy so he decided to leave them be. He was still new and didn't want to pester anyone, let alone upset anyone. His original intent was to take a stroll outside to let his leg stretch and see the surround areas. However, when he'd finally gotten to entrance it was quite cloudy out. As much as he enjoyed cloud cover with out rain, these clouds seemed suspicious. He decided getting some fresh air by the entrance was good enough for him.

Content in the entrance he settled himself down. Laying down on his left side so that his leg could get a bit of a breather. He'd been trying to keep his wound clean and open so it could heal. However, he couldn't change to other forms because of it. So he wasn't quite sure if it was healing right. He had the vague feeling it could be infected, but he hadn't seen many infections to be sure. He did know if it was infected it was still in the early stages, it wasn't a deep wound but it was long. Sighing to himself, "This is quite the bothersome..."

He means no harm really, this is just his way of saying hello ^^

The dark Dasa had been having a bad feeling the last few days; as if there was a danger about the caves that he must avoid. Two dangers, to be exact. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t seen that particular situation coming about, but at the time he had never considered how Naniko and Demi may react, for his focus had been entirely drawn to the white female. He was sure a few days ago Selene had spoken to them about her and him, but he had no intention of bumping into them anytime soon until things had settled down… if they needed to settle down. A shudder rippled across his tall form… yes, he had a real bad feeling.

Yet, it wasn’t because he was running away from them, that he was leaving the tunnels; or at least he tried to convince himself that that was the case. No, he was leaving to track down Liev for some lessons in control and swordsmanship; not a coward, a warrior only expanding and working upon his skills he chanted within his own mind.

Light flittered down the long tunnel, indicating that he approached an entrance; his mind and thoughts were dominated with his self reasoning, it wasn’t until his foot connected to something and he found himself falling forward that he realized he wasn’t alone.

“Shi…!”

Training kicked in and he relaxed and rolled with the fall and was back on his feet in no time, blue eyes scanning the immediate area for the threat. Eventually, his eyes fell upon the white male located by the entrance, he took in the scents and he was sure he didn’t recognise the male, but he carried the pack scent, it was light but there. A hand reached up to his head, slightly hitting his forehead before running through his long hair, his other hand had reached for the blade that hung by his side.

Lips tugged back to reveal his teeth as he smirked at the male; just because the stranger was pack did not mean he had to be nice, it simply implied he couldn’t kill the guy. His ears swirled forward, his tail swaying confidently from side to side. Carefully, he assed the threat before him; the male was in lupus his form, smaller that he was in that form. His smirk only widened at the sight of the male’s injury; clearly someone is not a good fighter. Confidence bloomed in the male, he was of a higher rank and in better physical condition than the one before him, the strange male wa clearly no threat.

“Oi, who the hell are you?” he practically hissed at the white male.

OOC : [Thanks James.] Meanie!!! :p

He had been mostly in his own mind, drifting away with the wind. Simply looking out amoung the scenery, with thought of rain had brought him back. Back to his younger days, as if he could still feel the pain. By the time he realized someone was near by they had already begun to trip over him. He couldn't stop it, he winced as his leg was jarred.

As the other wolf rolled, Torrent jumped back. A soft whimper escaped his muzzle as he moved to quick for his leg to keep up. Even as he was still trying to figure out what happened, the other male was already up and glaring him down. How, how was this.... He gasped "No..."

Even before the other wolf imposed himself in a threatening manner Torrent was pulling back. As the other wolf was reaching for his blade. Torrent was pulling back, as the memories flooded back in response. Pushing up as close to the wall as possible, it flooded back to him. The dark fur, the menacing look just like before. It was how it all started, it was how it ended. He couldn't fight then, he couldn't fight now. He wanted to dissappear, he wanted to become the rock and run. He couldn't, the other wolf was by the entrance, and Torrent couldn't move fast enough to get past him. The idea of running back frightened him. He couldn't think, he couldn't function. He had to think, he had to calm down.

He shut himself away, he shut away the pain. He pulled away, burying any connection he had. As a thick veil was pulled down over his fears, he pulled himself down with it. Lowering himself to the ground, pulling his ears back. His tail wrapping under his body, his eye focused on the ground. A soft reply escaped his muzzle after a delay, "... I apologize for having encumbered you."

He's trying to be nice now ^.^

In Character

Over his short life and especially in the time since he’d joined Anathema, he had encountered his share of canines, heck, he’d teased and wound up nearly the same amount. Encountering people, new and old, was a game to him; how far could he wind them up, how many buttons could he press before they snapped, what got the best reaction out of them? Each meeting, he would try out different tactics and assess the results and reactions from his actions, then calculate and store the information for later use.

Such a beneficial game he played; it allowed him to annoy others and take out his irritation on those he cared little about, at the same time learning their weaknesses encase he were to ever need to exploit them. He never acted unless the action benefitted him in some way; but on this occasion, he’d merely lashed out with irritation from being tripped, when it wasn’t even the male’s fault, for he should have been paying attention to his surroundings… not that he was going to let the other think it was his fault, no, the white male can take the blame for this situation.

So when the male responded, he was, if anything. Shocked. Very rarely did he get a reaction out of those he prodded at, normally canines responded to violence with violence, giving what they got. That’s another thing he got a kick out of, trying to get a response. Yet, when he wasn’t even attempting to scare the male he’d got an hysterical reaction, the image of the male trying to blend into the stone was picturesque. So weak, so pathetic. The guy looked like he may pass out any second, and if he didn’t, the way he was pushing into the cave side.. he’d most likely have a few bruises unless he eased up.

Oh, how badly did he want to laugh at the scene before him, instead he settled too simply close his mouth and look neutral. Never before had he encountered such a male. This has to be some twisted joke? Why would Naniko let someone like him in? He’d only pull down the pack…The thread of thought came to a halt. No, if he was allowed in he must have some skills. If anything, he’d trust his Angela’s judgement, no matter how sceptical he was in this case.

“Try not to pee yourself whilst you’re at it” mumbled, under his breath. He knew he had to ease up, attempt to be nice or things may come back to bite him in the butt later. The game had to come to an before it even started, the dark male breathed out a low sigh and bent over slightly at the waist, his hand moved from the pommel of his blade to rest upon his hip.

Then, he simply gave the wolf a ‘You’ve got to be kidding me look’ before he spoke out his carefully chosen words… “Man you need to grow a pair” his voice was loud, taking upon a scolding tonne. Slowly, he straightened so that he stood straight, his arms moving and crossing over his chest.

“A word of advice, piddle-pants. Man up or get eaten alive one day” his voice came across in neutral tonnes; if anything, it carried a sharp note towards the end. He was impressed, he’d managed to say a whole sentence without it coming out mean! “And I’m sure I asked you a question” his eyebrow raised, to emphasise his point, one finger strummed on his forearm. “You’re new right? You’re name or would you prefer I call you piddle-pants?” he asked, his voice loosing some of the edge it previously contained.

OOC : [Thanks James.] Yer still meanie! Smile

He was startled and his gaurd was down. He lost his cool and he paid the price for it. Even as he lowered himself he realized he made a bad impression. He showed weakness, and that made him more vulnerable then the injuries made him out to be. There was nothing he could do about it, he wasn't a fighter. He just wasn't, that's just how he was born. If this made him weak, then he had grown used to it long ago. He could take the punishment, because he could never live a life where strife was his only purpose. After all, if everyone only sought out the strife, if they only thought to cause conflict it would leave the world empty. There had to be a balance, and he simply felt that he was just another aspect of it. Another side to the same coin, he simply sought to ease the conflict.

The words the other wolf said to him didn't hurt him, didn't scar him. The wolf may as well have been speaking to someone else for all it phased Torrent by this point. He had quieted his thoughts, quieted his body. He would feel the pain later, he would feel the storm rain down upon him in his dreams. In this moment however, in this moment he was quiet. As if the words that rained from the other wolves muzzle couldn't reach him near the rocks. Even by the time the other wolf had finished speaking, Torrent was back to laying down and being more relaxed. He still kept his ears back, and his tail tight to his body but he was more relaxed. He'd received worse at his old pack, at his old home, and he was prepared for worse.

"No..." He let the word slip from his muzzle in a quiet, but sturdy tone. He was new after all, he had no place so he should try to establish some sense of control. Then with a quiet, but solid tone e spoke "... My name is Torrent Fault."

With that he turn to look away, but still keeping the other wolf in the edge of his good eye. He didn't want to fight, he didn't see a point to it. He'd learned that whenever a wolf was aggressive from the get go, it was best to pretend they never were. If Torrent showed to much response it would only lead to more and more. So he waited, he simply felt there nothing for him to say either. Even more he let himself pull away, and fall further and further into his quiet storm.

Wow, first time in a long time he has been this nice to anyone >.< It's almost sickening xD Hover over the little ? for translations btw ^^

In Character

So the white one had a name, huh? Torrent Fault… blue eyes narrowed, looking at the submissive wolf. The name really didn’t match the personality, no matter how he looked at it. If only he stopped the whole ‘fragile’ thing he had going, and settled for a neutral personality, the image of Torrent with a ‘neutral’ expression and posture formed with the males mind; he would at least look the part, what with the injury that stood out against the pale white, that made up the rest of the male. He titled his head to the side as his mind continued analyzed the male.

Despite his somewhat, bad.. reputation, even he felt a ‘tiny’ bit bad about picking on one quite clearly so submissive. To him, it was strange that such a wolf had ended up in Anathema; everyone he had encountered within the pack could hold their own and were more than happy to stand their ground, so it seemed novel to him that this Torrent had fallen into… His lips twitched as he resisted a grin. It was almost as if there was a sheep amongst a pack of wolves.

“Naze watashi ha ochi te hitsuji ni souguu shi te mot te i ta”Why did i have to come across a fallen lamb? he muttered underneath his breath. His eyes filled with cold emotion as he considered how to approach the situation. His first option, and the most appealing, would be to scare the male as much as he could so that Torrent would steer clear from him, or, god forbid, he could actually do the right thing for one and be kind towards the new member. Choices, choices, choices.

Slowly, he sat down upon the cool stone, his arms out stretched behind him to support his weight and clothed legs, crossed neatly in front oh him. His ears remained forward, his dark tail swishing slowly from side to side; his muscles relaxed and so did his expression. He wasn’t happy about it, but he found he couldn’t leave the guy alone. I’m getting way too soft these days…

“Firstly, a fact for you; you are now a member of Anathema, and so no member of Anathema will physically hurt you in anyway, me included. For if we did so, Naniko no doubt would have out hinds.” He informed the male, in a flat bored voice. “Secondly, you’ll find since we can’t beat each other up, some of us will use words to inflict pain” the grin that spread across his face was menacing, to make his point clear. “Hrmmm, and a tip whilst I’m at it. Acting submissive may get you out of trouble sometimes, or encourage another to take advantage of you. Aim to look neutral, if only on the outside”.

He picked up a loose stone and ran his thumb over it’s rough surface, then threw it outside. “Anyway, nice to meet you Torrent, name’s Alaki, I’m one of the Dasa of Anathema. A warrior, if you hadn’t already guessed.” He flashed the male a smile, that didn’t quite reach his eyes. Being nice to others made him feel sick, it disturbed him a great deal, but seeing someone so helpless, even he felt compelled to be moderately protective and nice towards them.

“Definitely getting way too soft” he mumbled to himself.

OOC : [Thanks James for the table.] Haha, thanks.

He heard the other wolf speak something to him, but he wasn't even sure what he said. Even still it had seemed whatever set the other wolf off had obviously been resolved. Going so far as to even let the wolf begin to share some insight to Torrent about the happenings around Anathema. Even as Alaki spoke, bad memories seemed to flutter in the edges of his mind. Painting a picture that reminded him of his old pack. However, if they couldn't hurt him, things were different here. He wouldn't face the same abuse, he wouldn't feel the same torture. Words didn't hurt him, they were just words. Words weren't sharp, and they didn't make you bleed. They didn't dig themselves into you, dig until you couldn't breathe. They didn't rape you, or leave you to die in the woods. They didn't do anything to you but lie, and he could handle lies.

After all, so much of his life was a lie. The words his sister would whisper to him at night, promising him they would run away together. Run away to some place safe, some place where he wouldn't have to hide. Where he wasn't hated for being weaker. She had lied, just like his mother did. Saying family would always stick together. Promising him safety as he laid down to rest so that she could check his wounds. Promise that his father did love him, and would never hurt him. Whispering to him, when she thought he was a sleep, telling him how lucky he was to be white furred. Telling him tales of those blessed with white fur. Those words were the last lies that would hurt him. That would find his way into his heart and leave it broken when he realized the truth. That he wasn't lucky, and he was never safe.

As if he had been shaken awake, he suddenly realized he had left silence between the two for longer then was probably acceptable. He turn his head to the other wolf and nodded, letting the words that lingered on his lips find there way outward. The words seemed soft, but still they had a sort of quiet strength to them, "It's nice to meet you Alaki. I apopligize for my reponse earlier. I simply wasn't aware and was caught in the past. I assure you, do not mistake my actions that occur in haste for actions that always show my normal behaviour. Besides, if everyone seeks to be the alpha or the strongest who will they have to lead? Who will they have to prove their dominance too. I never understood the logic that equated submission to weakness. My strengths simply aren't as readily flaunted as others."

With that he let a bit of softness come across his body. For once, he was beginning to genuinely begin to feel safe. For all the toughness that seemed to be displayed, there was this sense of safety that seemed to radiant from this place. It had taken him sometime, but for the first time he could genuinely begin to feel it. Weither he truly belonged though, that was still a precarious thought...

WC(436) - Sorry for neglecting this, i fell a wee bit behind on my replies >.<

In Character

An eyebrow twitch in irritation, his blue eyes narrowing as his temper spiked slightly. Apparently, this Torrent sure liked to talk in a round about way, and it would seem that he even had the nerve to argue back to someone of a superior rank. Though, in this case, the white male was lucky; Key was not one to use his rank against another, he’d had Demi pull that one on him and so he knew how infuriating it was.

But something the male mentioned grabbed at his intention…He knew he shouldn’t pry, heck, he’d only known the guy for a matter of minutes, yet, there was something about this guy… he had a way of making others protective and concerned about him, which was downright infuriating to the dark Dasa. He did not like feeling responsible for others and certainly did not like feeling guilty for his actions.

“You misunderstand me.” The statement was clear, his tone still coming out slightly irritated. I will not loose my temper again, I will not, he chanted again and again until he was level headed once more. He cocked his head to the side and sighed, “I cannot speak for others, but I myself do not seek to be the strongest or to be Alpha, atleast not in the way you imply. I am more than happy to serve under Naniko; I respect my leaders and those above me.” He paused, choosing his words carefully.

“I have watched those dear to me die, for at the time I was weak. I have seen others been walked over and abused for they submitted. If you cower before those who threaten you, nothing good will come of it, if you do not wish to fight back, at least don’t give them the impression they can walk all over you.” He wasn’t sure if he was making much sense, for he was confusing himself whilst he was at it. Socializing wasn’t his thing and he never really got the hang of putting his thoughts into words.

“Gah, nevermind. Do as you please!” he threw his arms in the air in surrender. He doubted he would manage to get through to the other male even if he tried, but atleast he’d warned him. “Saying that, you really didn’t know pack members can’t harm or abuse other packs members, huh? When’d you join Anathema anyway?” He couldn’t believe the male was unaware of such a fact and so he’d check and inform the male with as much information as possible, before leaving him to his submissive ways and getting on with his day.
