What had drawn such a short yet decorated creature to these lands? The scribbled on scrap of paper in his hands. Or well hand since he really didn't need two with which to carry it. Bruder, gehend auf ein Schiff nach Kanada. The script might not be legible to some but Marik could read it perfectly. It had been straight to the point. It didn't give details or anything like that. But that was his brother. That was the love of his life, not literally though a certain decoration would beg to differ, the only one in his family that he could stand being around. It didn't matter that Cotl had been outcasted while he became his father's prince. Mark had excelled well enough in the tasks that were tossed his way by his Meister but the boy didn't have enough mind to care. He knew how judgmental his family was, and his Meister to a lesser degree. Marik knew he would have been shipped off as well if his Vater found out that his friends were just friends but that he had physical relations with the males he hung around. And he could imagine how upset his Sire would be if he learned that the scars lining his body weren't from fights and training at all but were all the marks of lovemaking. After all he was a lover and not a fighter. Not that his body showed signs of that. Even his Meister had left behind a few marks once Marik convinced him to just close his eyes and he would never be able to tell the difference. Physical contact was like an addiction to him. But don't worry he isn't about to boo hoo about how his father was never there for him. Marik could care less about the guy. Just tossing out his cherished older brother over something that couldn't be helped. He looked up to the few minutes older sibling. And it was to find him that Marik had thrown away his life back home without a word as to his departure.

"Bruder." It was the only thing spoken in that deep and accented voice. A voice made for seduction. Not that he was intending upon seducing the body that he was calling for. Or not calling since the name was spoken so only he could hear. Which would make sense since he was the only one around at the current moment. The ferryman had left after swearing that this was where Cotl had been dropped off. Not that Marik had taken him at his word exactly. He never exactly trusted the word of a stranger. A hand reached up so that claws could scratch at a new mark that had been made against his shoulder. Hey now, it had been a long trip! You can't blame him. And well, it had been enjoyed after the other had gotten over the surprise of the coupling.

Bi-colored eyes stared up the shoreline that stretched out before him as a hand was ran through his short and spiky locks. "Fuck, I need to get laid." Words were muttered out even though it hadn't been that long ago that such a thing had happened, given the freshness of the mark on his shoulder. His steps took him towards where a glint of bleached white caught his eye. And when he saw just what it was he couldn't help but laugh, a deep and hearty chortle. "Well hello there doll face. Fancy meeting someone like you here, jah?" No, he wasn't entirely deranged and realized he was speaking to a canine skull that had been bleached by the sun. Still it didn't hinder the flow of words as he plucked it from its pike and held up so that he could stare into the empty eyes sockets as fingertips of his other hand lovingly caressed the extremely well defined cheekbone. "Ich would say you can lay off the diet now sweetheart. Winter is here, time to pack on a few pounds dearest." He simply had no trouble at all entertaining himself should he have to. And that was should... Cradling the skull in his hands still he sent up a howl. It really would be a pity if no one was home after such a splendid welcome mat had been laid out. Though while he was waiting he returned his attention to the skull. "So... how about you showing me the sights after we get ourselves acquainted a bit more?" Words were spoken with a seductive grin and a raised eyebrow. I swear, he really isn't off his rocker.

@&#&$The itch to move was strong today. He hadn't been to check on his garage since he'd wondered down with Cotl for supplies, and his need to patrol his private territory was as compulsive as his need to scope out the borders of Inferni. As usual when he intended to take a "temporary extended leave," he would do several runs to make sure everything was in order first. Usually he had a big fat "nothing" to show for his efforts, but today would prove a little more interesting.
@&#&$The bronze hybrid caught the foreigner's scent first, and immediately he was trailing the other man's tracks around the border. As he neared, he caught the tail end of the hybrid's attempts to woo the piked skull. The accent alone was intriguing--it was Cotl that jumped to the forefront of his thoughts. By the time the howl went out, he was practically on top of him. Not a second later he rounded a hilltop and caught sight of the stranger, and again he was struck by a strong pang of familiarity. He padded forward curiously, his fur standing just slightly on end out of instinct.

@&#&$"Well there's a sense of humour that never gets old," he called, an impish glint in his eye and a grin upon his face. Whether the stranger realised it or not, his ties to the quirky tattoo artist had spared him already from some of Anselm's usual gruffness. "You just lookin' for Cotl, or something more?" Quick, to the point. It was a little unlike him to make such a bold assumption right off the bat, but really--what else could this be? He still had grand plans for the day, too.

OOC: *licks Marik and his insaneness*

Maschine and Cotl were doing their morning patrol. They were up at the butt crack of dawn, looking in the traps for their breakfast. Colt had been staying close to the packlands, since winter had scared him into his room and under his german flag of a blanket. He was never expecting what was in store for him today. He never could expect it. But none the less the male was out there in the cold of the brisk morning, looking through his traps. He had been unsuccessful. He figured that someone was tripping up his wires, and destroying his traps before any prey could get trapped. Either that, or someone had been checking his traps and taking his kills. Three traps had been missing, two broken, and another four of them just tripped. He set up the ones he had left before mounting his stallion and going towards the border.

He was lining the border, his body mounted on his horse. The two made their way slowly around the border, a stranger in the distance causing the male to perk up. He had also witnessed his friend, Anselm approaching said stranger. The male jabbed his horse's side, which made the horse bolt off. The two bolted off towards the two, and in only a good minute of running, Cotl was pulling back on the reigns for the horse to stop. They skidded to a halt before the two canines, and Cotl jumped down from the horse. The scent fulled his nares, and the pattern of the markings on the other was immediately recognized by the "infected" male. Bruder! the male spoke, his arms embracing his brother. He snuggled into his brother's furry breast before he let go of his brother and stood besides the male, Cotl being a good inch taller. He smiled to Anselm. Anselm, -FUCKING CUNT FACE- this is Marik, Marik;Anselm. he introduced the two before turning to his brother. Now, what are you doing here, Marik? with this sentence came a clearing of his throat. Marik know the sound. Cotl always did make that sound after sentences that weren't fucked with by those random urges to curse.

He is no insane!

The response had come quicker than expected. The welcome wagon had arrived and knew him...? Jah, it would seem so. Or at least knew of him. Had his Cotl been weaving those webs again? Not that he exactly minded. He actually got along mighty well with his brother even if it might not show at times. There had been gruff words between them on occasions but never had actual heart been put in them. So either Cotl had been talking or this handsome gent was staring, rather impolitely if I may say so, between his legs. Ah ha, that tattoo on his thigh had always warranted explanation. It was what happened when you passed out while Cotl decided he wanted to draw. His bruder was the reason that he was so decorated.

The skull was place back atop its spike as attention was turned to the golden Adonis. "Both, though Cotl won't give me the more. I've told him time and again if he would just close his eyes he wouldn't be able to tell the difference." The words were spoken without a hint of hesitation at all. He didn't even try to hide the implied flirting either. Not that Marik was ashamed. Unlike his prude of a brother he was unbiased. He got his attention from wherever he could. And well he was being a good boy and staying on his side of the fence and keeping hands off. It was difficult but he was managing.

And then he was saved by a mounted presence. Or maybe it could be seen as interrupted should the response have been a receptive one. But either way he returned his brother's embrace, even if his own could be seen as almost unbrotherly. His hands had dipped lower than a blood relative's should, very nearly cupping the slightly taller and slightly older male's rear. It was done purposely. Done for show. Done because he knew Cotl wouldn't like it and it would rile him up a bit. Marik had no shame at all. Besides, it was his way of getting Cotl back for making him seem forever incestuous.

"Gut to meet you Anselm." He grinned and winked. And then just to ice the cake he let his bi-colored eyes slowly caress the body of the newly met male in an appraising way. Marik wasn't shy, though he was hoping to embarrass his brother a bit. It was just how they were. How they got along. Marik continued to try to spite Cotl but it was always done in a good natured fashion. With Cotl's question he held up the slip of paper that had been clutched in his hand the entire time. His brother should recognize it since he left it. "That was a long trip and you should make it up to me, bruder." With the words he gave Cotl a look that implied more than it should.

#$%&*Though Anselm had never discussed family members with Inferni's new Imaginifer (short of a casual mention of his own daughter), he was perceptive enough to notice the similar build, accent, and colouration. Now that he'd caught a good look at the stranger's face, he could see that they even had similar eyes. The other began to speak and the Caelum's face went blank--he was confused, and he didn't know what the other was going on about. When recognition settled in, he could feel his cheeks turn hot. "That's not what I meant," he stated quickly, the grin now gone and his stance a little more guarded. The "bone smugglers" were bad enough in his book, but to suggest such a thing about one's own relative...

#$%&*"Speak of the devil," he said, peering up as the sound of galloping hooves filled the air. Cotl came to a halt and the secui retreated several steps, watching the strange display of brotherly affection. Any initial relief over Cotl's appearance washed away. At this point he was assuming praying it was all some sort of joke, and he simply nodded in silence as introductions were made. Anselm looked at his friend curiously, though an unsettling feeling quickly brought his attention back to the new male. The other's hungry glance made him rethink his former assessment, and he offered a quick warning glare, holding the other canine's gaze steadily and pointedly--he'd do well to submit and cut off the nonsense. It was none of his business if the brothers were butt-buddies, but he wanted no part of that. Kin or no, Marik was still an unranked wanderer standing on the fringes of claimed soil.

#$%&*"You'd do well to look up Hybrid," he said flatly, "if you're intending to stay, that is." If his message had been missed the first time, he'd try again. Regardless, he wasn't sure how much longer he wished to sit on this little reunion. Normally Anselm liked to keep up on the newcomers to the pack, but in this case he almost wished Kaena or Gabriel would show up so he could pass it off on them. The whole situation had become rather ridiculous and he had more important things to be do than sit around and be ogled by a male.

OOC: He is too insane. hover for translation.

Their little hug had not gone without a little bit of groping from his brother, and with that, Cotl took his claw to the male's face and traced the scar that had been so beautifully placed on the male's maw. That was for a time that Marik had smart mouthed the older male, and Cotl decided that he wasn't going to take it. Don't make me strike your pretty little face again, kleinen bruder. the male spoke, before he turned to Anselm. Gut to meet you Anselm his brother knew some manners, though Cotl watched the boy's eyes travel up and down the other male. Cotl let a small frown place itself on his maw, obvious sign of disapproval. It seemed Anselm didn't like the fact either, because once cotl looked to the other, he caught the sharpness in the other's gaze. Audits fell midway back as he turned his head towards his bruder and put his maw towards his brother's large audit. Das ist mein Freund. Sie vorsichtig sein, wie Sie ihn sehen. the male spoke in german to his brother, making sure that Marik knew that he was not to look at the male like he was again.

That was a long trip and you should make it up to me, bruder. the boy handed him the piece of crumpled paper. Cotl took the damn thing in his fingers and looked it over. I'm surprised you came out here over with dies. the male spoke, a small amount of annoyance ringing in his german voice. Annoyance that his little brother was already screwing up. Not because he came here. Cotl was excited that his brother was here actually. It was something that he had not expected. And his brother was one of those people that he just couldn't help but love. He was the only family he could love. You'd do well to look up Hybrid, if you're intending to stay, that is. the other male warned to his brother. Cotl ran his hand through his long hair. Sorry Anselm, he has no shame.-DOUCHEBAG CUNT- he started, his eyes showing submissiveness, as well as his audits folding slightly back. He looked to his little brother and his demeanor changed from submissive to dominant. You should be the one apologizing. Now say sorry. the male spoke to his kin.

And here I was feeling sorry for Anselm. But don't worry, he will be hands off cause Anselm is Cotl's friend. But it doesn't stop him from suggesting stuff. Consider it like his own sorta little tick. And he is not! He is the normal brother!

Hey, Anselm had asked him if he wanted more. That meant Marik had to explain he wasn't getting that more. At least not from the name that had been mentioned. The other really should have phrased the question differently. Not hat he knew to. But still, the guy knew Marik's brother. Some forethought should have been placed in at least. He might not share his brother's genetic tick but he had his own sort of issues. Not that he would say he did. Just like his brother he didn't bring up what other's thought off about him in conversation. Or well, the condition itself wasn't spoken of.

Marik figured he was being respectful enough. He was looking but wasn't touching. Wasn't that the rule? Look but don't touch? And well, it was with appreciation. So at least he wasn't staring that the higher ranked male as if he smelled rancid or something. Though perhaps it looked more like he was eyeing a large piece of meat that he wanted to eat (though that thought had come to mind). But his slightly older brother's words had him dismissing that thought. But that didn't mean he didn't look disappointed. If Cotl said Anselm was off limits then Anselm was off limits. And it was a pity too.

But then that tone in Cotl's voice had him looking sharply up at his elder. That good natured and joking mood had quickly vanished as he snatched back the slip of paper and tore it up before letting it fall to the beach. His action seemed to have have come unprovoked. And his words to his sibling even more so. "Fuck you. I don't have to stay, I can go home. I didn't get shipped off." To others the words would seem uncalled for. But Cotl would be used to the sudden mood shifts. He knew the words weren't to be taken to heart even if they had been meant to sting. He didn't know why he did it. Why his mood would change without much in the way of provocation but it did. And as he did when the shifts took place he started to walk away, back tracing his steps. Which meant he had turned and headed directly for the water, seeming to have forgotten that he had arrived on a boat and he couldn't walk away the way he had come.

» lmfao, this is the most awkward joining thread ever. XD

Protocol was failing. Anselm heaved a sigh, offering a sympathetic wag of his tail as Cotl tried to cover for his unruly brother. The Infernian's presence may have very well been the only thing keeping him from flying off the hook completely; although Anselm could be fairly sociable, he also had a short fuse when it came to such madness. A piece of paper that hadn't registered on his radar was exchanged twice, the second time for good. He could not even guess as to its significance, although it seemed to hold plenty, for the next outburst was completely unexpected. The exchange made him feel unwelcome; whatever was about to go down, it was no business of his. Rank or no, he felt no need or desire to interject; doubly so because it was all so very werid.

And so, when the other began to back away, Anselm simply cleared his throat and addressed Cotl in a low, puzzled voice just above a whisper. "Hey man, I'm gonna let you two duke it out; I was about to take off anyway. Give Kae or Gabe a call if you need anything," he said with a nod. With that, he rose to his feet and began to move off. He offered an awkward dip of his head in farewell to Marik, mouthed a heartfelt Good luck to Cotl, and began to trot up the hill away from the idiosyncratic rendezvous of siblings.

He'd give the stranger the benefit of the doubt here--who knew what old drama they were dealing with. He hadn't done anything outright objectionable, either, and Anselm wouldn't stick around to speak against him, even though he did seem a few colours short of that rainbow he rode so boldly. There was no harm in leaving the strange hybrid now anyway, as he was confident Cotl would be able to handle the situation just fine on his own. It wasn't as if he'd just turned tail on a random unattended loner on the border; he was just giving them privacy.

OOC: Normal my ass.. Cotl's family can't be normal. It's against the rules of life. und yeah, this joining is awkward. More awkward than Cotl's joining.

The boy took the paper back, and then ripped it to shreds before letting the paper float in the wind. Fuck you. I don't have to stay, I can go home. I didn't get shipped off. the boy spoke and tried to turn away and go into the water. He was about to fix the situation with a smart remark to the other male before Anselm cleared his throat, which made Cotl look to his direction. Hey man, I'm gonna let you two duke it out; I was about to take off anyway. Give Kae or Gabe a call if you need anything. the other male spoke to him before he began to back away. Cotl nodded in response before he saw the male nod his head in a farewell and then take off. He figured Anselm might have something better to do than deal with the two brothers. They always seemed to be fighting, but words weren't really what mattered in the world of Marik and Cotl. It was too complicated to put in words. Let's just say that Cotl would be able to woo his brother back to normal with a few strokes on the head.

Fuck me, eh? I would fuck me, ja. the male joked to his brother before he trotted up into the water, and quickly came upon his brother. He grabbed the boy's shoulder. You scared Anselm away, Marik. It's only me and you now. Until I call for Gabe or Kae that is. But I wanted to tell you, I'm really glad you came. -FUCKING HELL BAIT-You're the only person I'd want to follow me so far away from home. Plus, you remind me of all the gut times I had back in Germany. the boy offered up a sappy little speech before he touched his brother's dragon on his arm. He traced it slowly with his fingers. You know, You could use some updated ink. You should see some of the ones I'm designing. There's this one for Halo that I'm doing, and then there's Anselm's tattoo. the male spoke before he grabbed his brother by the waist and pulled him close. Come on. Join Inferni, and live with me.-SHITFUCK-You know you don't want to go back. You know you want to stay...

Awkward makes it interesting though. And he is so normal. He didn't make out with the skull, only talked to it.

Actually if Cotl hadn't showed up then Marik would have probably flirted and hinted a little more and if not getting a favorable response he would have been on his merry little way again. He understood what no meant, most of the time. But what was wrong with talking? Not everyone opened up to the idea on the first mentioning. Some took a little convincing. But that mostly came when Marik was desperate. He was generally happy enough to let others know that he was interested and if they weren't then so be it. He wouldn't pressure even if it might come up in conversation time and time again. Like how he continued to reference Cotl even though he knew nothing would ever come of it. It was just what made Marik who he was.

Anselm had no worries. Marik wasn't a threat. All of Marik's scars were love marks. Besides, he was turning his back to the packlands rather than trying to infiltrate. The only one to be harmed would be Marik, the outsider, as he walked straight into the sea. His mood shift didn't allow him to strike out against others. At least nothing more than a mix of stinging words before he walked away. Yep, the boy walked away from fights. Though the fights generally happened only with his brother and not so much with anyone else. It would seem that Cotl was the only one that could get under his skin. But then again Cotl was the only one that could soothe him, that knew the right words and touches to use.

He paid no mind to Anselm leaving. It didn't matter to him. Even his brother's words didn't hit the mark at first. Even the sappy speech didn't have him stopping at first. True it wasn't in his brother to randomly blurt out something like that. But more like he couldn't have imagined his brother ever having any good times at all back in Germany. His sibling had been disowned by practically the entire family. Only Marik had been the one to slip out to continue to see him, not that Marik had been letting anyone know that was where he had been going. If he told he would have been kept from going. So it wasn't shame but the desire to spend time with his brother that kept it a secret.

The touch to his arm had him stilling rather than proceeding into the sea but it didn't remove the tenseness from his body. "A swastika." The request came without hesitation. So what if others viewed it badly? It was actually a sign of well being. He knew his brother would understand that. Which was why he wanted it. His body finally relaxed as the arms wrapped around his waist and held him close. "I'll stay." He promised quietly and placed a hand lightly on top of the arms that clutched to him. There was no hint of teasing and toying in the touch but simply the reassurance that he wouldn't leave his brother all alone.

OOC: Cotl's going to howl for a leader now.

A swastika. the tenseness of the male's body was melting away with the touch. He could still feel that the tenseness wanted to be there, but as soon as he wrapped his hands around the other's waist, he became completely relaxed. And that was all it really took. I'll stay. the boy whispered to the other. Cotl let a smile form on his lips. " I'm sure you'll like it here. -SKULLFUCK- There's many nice coyotes. I mean, they actually accept me here, bruder. It's amazing!" the male explained as he reached his hand from the boy's hip to the other's head. He ruffled the boy's hair slightly, but it really didn't do anything to the style of it, for is just bounced right back into place.

He then went back to what the male said before. A swastika. Before the humans had tainted the meaning of the swastika, it was a symbol of peace, of well-being. Many misconceptions these days caused others to view it slightly different. Cotl wondered if the male wanted him to tattoo one onto his flesh, or was he saying that he wanted to find a charm or something? It was an unclear request, so Cotl went to ask. You want me to tattoo one on you, or you want me to find you a charm? he asked, his voice clearing itself before he looked to see where his steed had wondered, if at all. The stallion had wandered, but not too far, and every once and awhile the horse would look up from his shrubbery and just stare at the two. Cotl wondered what the horse thought about Marik. " Oh, Marik. -STUPID DUMB CUNT- That over there is my horse. His name is Maschine." he introduced the horse to him, wondering what his brother did think about the horse.

The male then thought about the fact that the boy would stay again. He needed to get a leader to accept him. His maw then turned to the sky, and he howled for Gabriel, or Kaena. How would they take to his brother? He really didn't know..

" Cotl is talking!"

Okay, altered the subject line

His brother's words had flipped that emotional switch again. But he wasn't upset, or well he wasn't angry anymore. He didn't grow tense again but grew limper. Sure, his brother's had been meant to reassure him but they broke him down. His brother was accepted? And here he had thought he was coming to save his littermate. But Cotl didn't need saving at all. Didn't need him. Now he was the awkward and out of place brother. And if the tradition of the awkward brother held then he would be the one to be outcasted. He would be the one to be sent away and shipped off. His promise was worthless. Silent tears slipped on his cheeks. Here he had thought his brother was all alone and he had come along to be his savior. But no, he was just the kid brother tagging along behind his big brother.

His head had bowed as his hair was ruffled. But with how short he kept it there was no possible way it could ever be messed up. His father had insisted on the short hair and he had just kept up with it. "Right here." He choked out the words, having grabbed for his brother hand to place it right in the middle of his chest. Right beneath his throat. As with the rest of his brother's artwork he would wear it proudly where everyone could see. And if they couldn't understand the meaning then that was their ignorance. Besides, it would be like a parting gift from his brother. That boat ride had taken too long and he was late in getting here. His brother didn't need a knight on a white horse. Actually he already had his own horse.

He finally lifted his head as the horse was introduced. It didn't dispel the sullen mood. No, these moods lasted longer than flashes of anger. These were harder to get rid of. And luckily they didn't come about too often. Marik eased himself from Cotl's embrace so that he could slowly make his way over to the horse. The small boy kept it in mind to stay on the respectful side of the fence as he reached a hand out towards the large beast. "Einfach, Maschine einfach." If he knew his brother as well as he thought he did then he figured that the horse would have been accustomed to German. To Marik this was like a test of worth. If the horse didn't like him then he didn't belong.

His large ears twitched as Cotl howled. He didn't understand what it was for but he didn't focus on it. Instead he was watching the horse. Waiting on Maschine's reaction as he held his hand out towards him. He waited to see if the stallion would be curious or just snub him. Marik viewed Maschine as his replacement. Would he be allowed a pace back into his brother's life?

OOC: <3 ; I need to make you a table..

Cotl watched the silent tears fall from his brother's beautiful eyes. In all reality, he found his little brother's gaze even more dangerous than his own. To see tears come from them was something that was slightly strange. Cotl cocked his head to the male, and let his tongue lick the tears from the male's face. Marik took his hand and put it to the boy's throat. Right here the boy told him. Cotl would and could do that for the male. He always did enjoy drawing on his little brother. He smiled lightly. " Ja. I can do that for you. When I take you to the mansion, we can do it then.-FUCKER- "the male spoke to the other before his brother pulled away from him and approached Maschine, the Appaloosa stallion that had been traded for a couple of piercings. Cotl simply watched the interaction between canine and equine.

Maschine lifted his head, and looked straight into the eyes of his masters' kin, as the attention was brought to the horse, he trotted over to where the hand was reached out to. The horse was smart enough to see the resemblance, as well as to hear the same accent, and words that his own master used.Einfach, Maschine, Einfach The horse's decorated skull lowered itself to where Marik was slightly higher than him, and he then nudged the male lightly. He let out a nicker before rubbing his head up and down the male's chest. Maschine was fairly accepting of everyone, though he was cautious around those whom he felt that Cotl was not comfortable around. Since Cotl had been content (his aura shining a bright blue of contentment to the horse) he figured that it wasn't a problem that this other male was near him, and touching him. The strange equine nickered again and inhaled the scent of the other male a few times before he again nudged the male in the chest. This time, it was playfully.

"Maschine likes you, Marik. He's normally more independent than that. He doesn't normally go up to ones he doesn't know..." Cotl explained from afar. He held a smile on his handsome little maw as he then decided to approach the two once more.

" Cotl is talking!"

Hokay, so! The basic premise here is that Anselm ran into Kae on his way back to the caves or wherever, and Kae howled back to Cotl to let him know Marik staying here is cool! ^^; <3
