[P] It's All About How You Talk
#1
[html]
Setting is Treetop Terrace, November 14 around early morning and Leviothan is in Optime

Coolness... The first thing he'd noticed when he'd woken this morning was that his house was cold. The furnace hadn't been turned on during the night so all the cooled air from the outside world had seeped into his house. He'd made his way out into the forest at an early moment, toward the Treetop Terrace where he'd met Eclipse near his first week here. Only upon reaching the Treetop Terrace did he pause in his movements to simply sit down upon the ground, his legs out before him with his back to a tree. The fiery furred Leviothan rather enjoyed silence and there seemed to be an abundance of that here, just the birds and various creatures running a muck and about.

The newly healed scar from his battle with Levent seemed almost gruesome along with the one he'd acquired what seemed like years ago, that went from the very top of his nose to the very bottom of his jaw to curve in a slight half circle. Both seemed self healed, as if he hadn't gone to seek medical attention but despite this, he'd gained some more personality and even though he lay against the tree, he could still see out across from where he'd taken his seat.

His arms curled over his chest, grey speckled fur glinting in the light of the early morning son, blowing softly with the chilled wind that rushed through the threes, whistling its soft tune.

He found his eyes drooping low, as if he were about to fall asleep, yet couldn't quite get there and with a sigh, the claws on his feet dug into the earth beside him, gripping at the root of the tree he'd leaned against.

OOC:// My apologies for the wait!

Kenna had never truly visited Treetop Terrace before. After the hurricane, she had not been a part of the repair team that went to fix up the suspended network of structures and bridges. Due to this, she had missed out her chance to explore the place. Today however, the collie woman had decided to take a trip to the unexplored forests. Since her injuries had mostly healed and she had been feeling a bit restless the past couple of days (perhaps it was just left over giddiness from becoming mates with Adrian) Kenna made her way on foot, slowly but surely until she spied the first tree house high above. Although Dust wasn't too happy about being left behind, the cowgirl figured the chances of coming across any trouble while within d'Arte's borders were slim. She had fed him an apple to make it up to him before setting out.

Due to the cold weather (snow had fallen the night before and patches of the precipitation remained on the ground), Kenna traveled fully clad in her western outfit and her heavy cloak for warmth. Smiling softly up at the structures in the canopy, the woman gazed around in awe. It was strange to think that someone could live so far off the ground. It would be like a bird. Sure there were advantages of having such a wide view of the terrain, but if you weren't so comfortable with heights it could be quite a scary experience. Skirting around a small snow bank, Kenna started deeper into the Terrace before something caught her eye. Coming around a thick tree, the woman spied a figure resting against another tree up ahead. He appeared to be dozing so she was careful at first to maake as little sound as possible, but then he moved and she realized he was actually awake. She paused and smiled, clearing her throat so as not to startle him. He smelled of the pack, so she knew he would likely be no threat. "Hello... What are you doin' all alone out here?" She spoke up, slightly tipping her head and slowly approaching the stranger. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Kenna, Gamekeeper here. Have you been in Cercatori long?" She asked, curious hoping she wasn't disturbing the male too much by just showing up and chatting. She wouldn't be surprised if he'd been around for a while, she somehow seemed to miss her other packmates quite a lot. Either that or he was a newcomer, but she doubted the likeliness of that as he smelled too strongly of the lands.

Sorry for the wait!

Just through his dreamy haze, the fiery furred Leviothan slowly allowed his nose to tremble at the sudden scent of another pack mate. The smells that seemed to accompany the wolf gave off the scent of a horse or some other type of ridden animal. The smells of Cercatori d'Arte. He shifted in place or an instant before he looked her way, the woman in a full clad western outfitting. As per usual when in his Optime form, Leviothan was dressed in normal tack. Torn t shirt and jeans, both stained with tree-sap from his lack of items to trade for worn clothes. He couldn't help but give a grin though. She was friendly so far. "I find it peaceful to catch a quiet moment every now and then. You don't have to worry about putting off a grin for others." He gave a nod toward a nearby tree stump. He'd carved the wood flat since his last trip out here. It had been a fallen tree from the hurricane. "Take a seat"

He shifted quite suddenly in place, a slight tilt to his own head. He hadn't seen her around, when he'd built the coral with the help of the stranded and of course, his other helpers. Nor had he seen her in any other place, really. He smiled silently though. "Nice to meet you, Kenna. I'm Leviothan, Craftsman. Though I prefer to work with either stone or wood. Wood more though because I enjoy its scent." His head lowered slightly, a smile over taking his ebony lips. His clawed fingers curled in the sand before he brought his knees up toward his chest, allowing his tail to beat a soft rhythm at the ground right behind him and the tree that stopped his tail each time. "I've been in Cercatori for..." He paused because he hadn't really been taking time.

"A week or two before the hurricane came?" It came out as more of a question because he truly didn't know. His tail slowed its beat for a moment longer before it sped right back up. "What about you? Have you been here long?"

OOC:// Seems we are playing "wait tag", lol. Sorry for taking so long...again. X__x And this post sucks. v.v

"I find it peaceful to catch a quiet moment every now and then. You don't have to worry about putting off a grin for others." The unfamiliar male responded good naturedly and Kenna relaxed a little. He didn't mind her company and that was a good thing. Sometimes she knew she could be a bit over friendly. Chuckling softly, the woman inclined her head a little in acknowledgement of his statement. "Very true. I can understand that." She was then offered a seat. Kenna looked to the flattened stump beside the male and blinked slightly in surprise. It was...pretty much the perfect sitting spot, she wondered why he hadn't chosen it for himself. "Thanks." She said before sitting and getting comfortable. Upon closer look, Kenna spotted the worn state of the male's clothes and yet again the familiar scent of Cercatori upon him. She might have seen him in passing but she still doubted that she'd ever actually interacted with him. She usually never forgot a face.

"Nice to meet you, Kenna. I'm Leviothan, Craftsman. Though I prefer to work with either stone or wood. Wood more though because I enjoy its scent." "It's good to meet you too Leviothan." Kenna felt an instant sense of comradeship in the male at his words. Another carver, just like herself. It was good to find people who enjoyed the same things as her. With her tail wagging a little at her side, the cowgirl grinned."You carve too then huh? I'm pretty good at the art too, but I do it more as a hobby than anything. I mainly work on small things." She shrugged. Kenna's blue eyes then grew bright, glad to find Leviothan already pleasant company as he continued to answer her chain of questions. "I've been in Cercatori for...A week or two before the hurricane came?" Kenna's tail paused and a pang of guilt rushed over her at the male's answer. Damn, she hated when she was right sometimes. She'd felt horrible before when she'd come across pack mates that she most definitely should have met before but apparently had missed them in all her being about.

"What about you? Have you been here long?" Shaking her head slowly, Kenna scoffed a little to herself. "I've been here since June of this year...and I feel like an outright ass for not having met ya sooner." Glancing up apologetically the collie hybrid mentally kicked herself for being such a recluse upon first joining the pack. "I wasn't much for socializing when I first joined. It was only when the hurricane came about that I really started acting like a proper d'Artisan." She sighed and looked up at the canopy of the trees above. "These days I'd like to think I'm a lot more prevalent in the pack. Though, my main haunt seems to be the stables." She chuckled a little. "I work along side Honrin in taking care of the animals." She explained frowning slightly. "I'm still pretty much appalled at myself for having honestly never seen ya around before. It's funny how that works out..." In all truth, Kenna found that fact more irritating than funny. But now was no time to be feeling bad for herself. She was slowly making up for her lost time now and while she could make the best of her encounter with Leviothan, she would. A small smile found its way back to the western woman's face as she tried to move the conversation onto more pleasant things. "Heh...Anyways, what's your favorite wood to carve?" Blue eyes brightened again glad to be able to relate to her pack mate through a similar passion.

A Winter's Wonderland

Leviothan's cindered gaze landed upon Kenna a few moments after he'd spoken, his fingers inadvertently digging into the earth near his legs. He watched silently as Kenna looked toward the seat he'd pointed out to her, a grin sprouting over ebony lips in a moment of brief amusement. His scarred snout and face slightly tilted toward the cowgirl of a wolf before he answered her. "You're very welcome." When she finally took her seat, Leviothan drew his knees closer to his chest, his eyes still set upon Kenna. For a short moment, he allowed the silence to twist between them before her words entered his ears and he was suddenly drawn to attention once again, his agile ears twisting in her direction, alert and prompt.

So, he thought silently... she's a carver like me. But she's also good at art... He felt a pang of jealousy writhe through his body, yet it quickly faded away. After all, he was good at what he did and in one of his pockets there was a tiny wooden sculpture that he'd been working on a day or so before. Something he could keep on him at all times. He moved his slightly claw tipped fingers over the said pocket before flashing his cindered gaze back to the vixen of a woman who seemed to enjoy his company from the sight of her wagging tail, his own still beating lightly at the dirt right behind him, that and the tree. "Yep, been working on wood now for the past... well, at least a little past half a year. It's the one thing I'm good at, other then being friendly." He could see the light reflect in Kenna's gaze, the way her eyes grew bright when she found that he also carved wood. With a slight twitch of his nose, Leviothan leaned forward and lay his chin on the very front of his knees. He watched her tail stop its movement and for a moment, thought he'd said something wrong. "Everything alright?"

"It's no worry. I haven't really gone around introducing myself. I figure that I'm going to stay in Cercatori for the rest of my life so I'm going to slowly weed myself into the flow of things. Get to know everyone as I go. Besides, it's no fun not meeting new people, right?" What he said was meant to help her recover from feeling any guilt for not having met him before. After all, he'd never come upon her until now and if he had crossed paths with her, he'd either been busy or extremely recluse himself. No sense in making another packmate feel guilty for something you'd done yourself, right? He laughed slightly at the thought, his gaze roaming over the other wolf in mild curiosity. He'd been noting the women of the pack, some more then others. Eclipse had felt more like a friend type, yet she'd also had children at one point and had told him that she was mated to one of the other wolves in the pack. But Kenna seemed different, more beautiful in her own right. Leviothan slightly shifted his weight once again, distributing himself more evenly against the solid ground that made his seat.

"The stables? I built the corral right next to it with the help of one of the stranded wolfdogs that were around then. It was pretty fun, even carved wolves and horses into the front gate, though I'm sure they might have faded by now." With her new blown words, interest sprang free of his ebony lips before he could even think of where to go next. His tongue sprang free of his maw to swipe against the very tip of his nose, a grin slowly creasing at the corners of his mouth. "Animals are pretty nice. I've never ridden a horse, or even been near animals aside from a horse I met a while back and a tiger." He shook the image from his head a moment later, the fact that Dalgina had looked so sad, so... heart driven sending a painful chill through his spine. However, it quickly faded away. "Well, the way I see it is that you were busy starting your life here and getting things ready. Now that you're settled in, you'll meet lots of new people and get to know others. And... if I can help with that, then we're set, right?" Finally... the conversation moved back to wood and he found himself thinking calmly. He'd created terms for wood in order to remember them himself. So they might not have been what she'd call them.

"My favorite wood would be Walnut, but I haven't come across many of them while here. So, my second favorite would be Sugarpine. Yours?" With that finally set, his eyes found themselves roaming again and just because he felt it right to put it out there, his lips formed the words and his mouth let them rip. "If I may be so bold, you're very beautiful."

OOC:// That was a very nice post, yes! ^^ Mine however...fail! X__x

"It was pretty fun, even carved wolves and horses into the front gate, though I'm sure they might have faded by now." Kenna nodded, remembering once seeing the intricate designs the male spoke of on the corral. Indeed they had all but faded now. She'd not thought anything of it at the time, but it was good to know who'd taken the time to create the images now. It was Leviothan putting just one more part of himself into the work he'd done for the pack. "Well, I guess I owe you thanks. Without that corral we'd have quite a few restless horses." Kenna chuckled a little, still worried about being so antisocial in the past. The red hued male shifted where he sat and continued on. "--And... if I can help with that, then we're set, right?" The male's words brought a sense of relief to Kenna. Although the cowgirl felt guilty for her lack of proper socializing in the beginning of her time in the pack, she was grateful that Leviothan didn't seem phased by it. He assured her there was nothing to feel bad about and the worry in her heart lessened quite a bit, her smile returning as quickly as it had left her face. As the conversation continued onto the subject of wood, Kenna once again found herself feeling relaxed and content in the scarred wolf's presence. Sometimes connections just sparked between two people in the simplest of ways, and that was what seemed to happen with Leviothan. The collie woman listened as her pack mate spoke of his favorite wood to carve. It may have seemed like small talk to anyone else, but the passion was obvious in Kenna's eyes at the topic. She loved those who were more gifted in the artistic sense. She'd never thought herself to be a master in her hobby, but it definitely was an activity she enjoyed. "My favorite wood would be Walnut, but I haven't come across many of them while here. So, my second favorite would be Sugarpine. Yours?" As Leviothan spoke, Kenna realized it had been quite a while since she'd picked up her whittling supplies and a good raw piece of wood to work on. She'd have to make up for that too. She was normally just so wrapped up working in the stables that not much else occupied her life.

"I myself prefer oak foremost, but I've also found a liking in pine too." The woman smiled, her tail still wagging lightly behind her. The cowgirl was about to ask another question when the wolf spoke first. "If I may be so bold, you're very beautiful." The sudden compliment took the woman by surprise and a warmth rose in her cheeks, her ears splaying back embarrassed. Blue eyes dropped away from the d'Artisan's face a moment as an uncharacteristically meek smile crossed Kenna's expression. Normally when faced by an admiring male, Kenna was right on top of compliments, ready to flirt right back, but because Leviothan had simply thrown it out there, he'd caught her off guard. Chuckling softly she lifted her gaze up again, trying to gain back her composure. "Th...thank you Leviothan..." Her tail slightly curled behind her as it wagged, a soft, warm murr rising in her chest in appreciation. "You look pretty fine yourself..." She grinned genuinely and then found her usual flirty self again. "I like the rugged look." She winked lightly with a soft laugh. "There's just something charming about it." Kenna herself often didn't mind being a little worn and dusty, some would say it made her sexy, but Kenna just thought of the extra layer of grime showed a good, hard days work successfully done. "So Leviothan, tell me. Is this your real reason for being out here? You lure in pretty ladies and work your magic on 'em?" She teased playfully with an amused smirk. It wouldn't actually be the first time something like that had happened to Kenna. Except, it was more her drawing the attention of a male, though in her case it was unintentional. Ah, Adrian, what a pleasant unplanned meeting it had been with him. An ear flicked as she though of her mate back in Thornbury. She could only imagine what he would say if he caught her flirting with yet another handsome fellow. She knew he really wouldn't care, but the idea of him being possibly jealous was still entertaining...

Form :: Lupus/Sucui/(Optime)

As Kenna gave her nod, Leviothan perked up just a tiny bit. His claws had made tiny trails through the sand at his sides, bringing him to the conclusion that he needed to do something with his hands less they get too preoccupied and his attention fall from the young, pretty lass who sat before him just gazing over his stretched out form. Cindered eyes flashed from the stump that she sat on to her face once again, a slight tilt to his head. His tail at this point was thrumming so fast that it might have been in tune with his heart beat that he was sure could be heard at this point.

Had he really just been thanked for what he'd done? The very thought brought another smile to his face, stretching thin his dark, ebony lips that slightly exposed the darkened scar on the very left of his muzzle.

Though he wore the rugged, dirty look well, he actually didn't smell bad. He had a certain aroma about him that seemed sweet, yet at the same time, enticing like pine. Yet he could tell Kenna spent a lot of her time with horses. She had the scent of a woman who enjoyed her animals as much as she enjoyed her time with others. The coywolf shifted once again, but this time it was to stretch his legs out so that he could enjoy the fresh feel of the breeze that crept through the hollow opening between the trees near them.

"No need to thank me," he started. "The wolfdog who helped me showed me a few things about carving that I didn't know. So I got payed way more then I expected." He let a laugh slip free of his chest, rumbling deep within in a soft, but characteristic baritone.

His gaze swept from Kenna for a moment to a tree right across from them and with a sudden thought, he pushed a hand into his pocket and pulled out one of the wooden statuettes. This one was a perfectly carved buck with ten point antlers, carved in such detail that you could clearly see the look in its eyes, the various different hair textures and even the direction of the way its tail seemed to turn. In a fluid motion, he came to his feet, tail waving crazily through the air and moved toward Kenna, holding his hand out.

"Here, you can half this one. I'm good at small details, but a lot of the details fade after a while. Like the corrall gates, I'm sure this one will as well but it can be a small token of luck or something of the sort." Without a sound, he moved to a closer tree to perch himself against it, not lowering himself to the ground to sit this time.

Kenna's obvious passion in wood seemed to astound the young wolf even further. Made him glad that he'd taken up the one thing in life that he was good at. "Maybe," he began, "we can work on something together. I could show you some of my pieces and... I can't believe I didn't ask before, but do you paint or have any other interests then wood carving and whittling?" The excitement in his gaze was beyond comparison. "I've been looking for someone I could work with to perhaps make a shop. I want to help with trade in the pack and setting up a post could prove to be good. And... I can learn more about preserving my work." He quickly wrinkled his nose as a gnat buzzed passed his face, only to have his attention captured by Kenna's words a moment later.

"Oak? I've only used it once or twice. Oak is pretty awesome. I made a water basin out of Oak, managed to find a good polishing solution that keeps it shining and smooth and that doesn't affect the way the water tastes."

The grin that cut his lips, even at his embarrassing question seemed to bring forth a sliver of a chuckle at Kenna's reddening cheeks, even through her collie fur and the way her ears smoothed back at the suddenness of the question. Even her eyes fell from him, though he could tell that she'd enjoyed the remark more freely then he could have imagined through the smile that spread instants later. Leviothan was good at that some times, making sweet comments and remarks when they seemed least likely. He always kept someone thinking, eager to learn, eager to react and even more so, eager to please. His fingers crept over the front of his ragged, torn jeans and with a simple nudge against his pocket, he bumped the rest of the other statuettes back into their position at the bottom of his pockets.

The next moment led to her chuckling and his head slightly tilted to the side in curiosity. Why was she laughing. Had he said something funny?

'Th....thank you, Leviothan...' the words spread through his ears. 'You look pretty fine yourself.' This time, of course, his face burned in reaction, a fierce red sweeping through his already copper toned fur to darken his cheeks. He could dish compliments out, yet could not take them. At least not yet. Didn't have the confidence to do so, though his time with Sebastian of CdC had cured him of a little of that. Her grin helped him to realize that the wolfdog really was as beautiful as he'd originally thought. With her tail curled at her back, wagging in answer to his comment, he found himself wondering if she was mated to another in the pack. He had seen her around with one of the other wolves, yet wasn't sure where that was going.

"You're very welcome, Kenna. It's true though. You're beautiful. Very much so." His eyes dipped lower in a hint of self contained shyness before he looked right back up to her.

"Thank you. But charming? I look like I just stepped out of a mine shaft or something. I need a looong bath," he made sure to emphasize the long. He did one bad, yet still, he didn't smell. It was more the dirt and wood shavings that were caught all through his fur and mane. Sometimes he couldn't reach them when he soaked in the Oasis pond. His fingers just couldn't work around his mane behind his back. With that thought, he tilted his head at her next words, a coy grin taking over his ebony lips. "Oh sure! I have nothing better to do then to lure unsuspecting women out of their safety so I can make a move." He flashed a playful wink before leaning closer. "Actually, though, I was trying to think of a new project to work on. I think I need to broaden my horizon. There's this instrument I've seen about, something that starts with a 'G' that seems to catch my attention so I'm trying to think of the best wood to make it. Perhaps you could help, hmm?"

He was sure she knew what he was speaking about. He'd made everything from bows to water basins. Now he wanted to dip into instruments and he'd only seen one from afar. That was because someone was playing it some ways from the border in the woods. He'd passed them by because he needed to keep moving but now it seemed like a very good idea. Having someone help him on a project could just be what he needed. "And of course, there could be payment of your choice in it. Not that I want to talk business or anything. It always bores me." His face slightly scrunched in agreement with his words before he smiled. "So, is it working?" He paused. "My magic?"

OOC: Holy crap that was an awesome post, lol! You've got some great ideas! :D Sorry I took so long to get back to ya though. Once we wrap up this thread, I think they should have another one dated more recently with them scoping out a good shop in Thornbury and maybe practicing and sharing their wood working skills? If you PM me we can talk more about the plan for it all OOCly? :)

IC: Kenna found the red male more and more charming as time passed. He held the same creative spark and curiosity for life that she did and it made their interaction all the easier. It was almost natural their conversation, like it was meant to happen. The collie woman was already quite certain that she and Leviothan would come to be good friends. Still smiling pleasantly Kenna gave a soft sound of contentment as she nodded in response to his statement regarding building the corral. He didn't require thanks, but Kenna sure felt grateful for the efforts he'd put into it. In a brief pause, she watched as the d'Artisan reached into his pocket and removed a wooden figure. Ears perking as she rose to his paws, Kenna blinked as he offered the whittled buck to her. Taking the statue delicately in her paws, azure eyes widened in awe at the intricate details of the carving. "My gosh Leviothan, this...this is amazing! Simply stunning work!" She looked up beaming, her tail wagging excitedly. She turned the buck over in her paws, examining the details he'd put into it's design. "You sure are patient my friend. Even I rarely can achieve such a masterpiece." She smiled and carefully placed the statue beside her on the stump. "I'll be sure to keep this safe." She told the male as he leaned back against a closer tree.

"Maybe we can work on something together..." He began and offered to show her more of his work. Kenna's eyes brightened even more at the prospect. "That would be wonderful!" Kenna exclaimed and got to her paws in one swift, fluid motion. He continued to ask her of her other interests and mentioned opening a shop for trading goods. Kenna could not have been more thrilled in that moment. "You have no idea how much I've been wanting to do something like that! I've always wanted to get more involved with trading for the pack. I've just never had enough of anything to trade or a partner to take on such an endeavor with me! Kenna felt an overwhelming urge to hug her pack mate, but restrained herself not wanting to smother him. "I'm up for giving it a go if you want! We can come up with different things to carve and yeah, I can paint pretty well too! I haven't picked up a brush in a while though. I had to leave my art supplies back home when I went out on my own." She explained a little sadly but the moment passed quickly as Leviothan continued on to mention the things he'd created with her favorite wood, Oak. "The biggest wood project I've ever taken on was an owl statue I made that was about a foot tall. I gave it to my father as a gift before I left. Other things I've made were a dinnerware set. A bowl, plate, fork, spoon, knife and cup. I kept it for myself." She said with a grin. "I'm pretty good at making life size animals as well some minatures like you." She gestured to the wooden buck beside her with a fond chuckle. "I'm also good at making drawings in wood. I used to carve a scene I saw on a smooth, flat piece of wood then paint over it with color when I was little." She wagged her tail and nodded. "I don't have much practice with more useful things, but I am always willing to learn!" Kenna finished enthusiastically with another friendly wink.

"You're very welcome, Kenna. It's true though. You're beautiful. Very much so. It was easy for the gamekeeper to recover from Leviothan's sudden compliment, but the warmth his words left behind continued to linger even as her blush faded. She continued to smile while he doubted her own returned compliment. A chuckle escaped from her maw as he mentioned needing a bath. She knew all too well what the felt like. "Nah, don't worry about it. After all, who's around but me to see ya? I like guys who aren't afraid to get down and dirty." She smirked and looked away as a bird high above in the canopy began to sing it's winter song. With the smirk still in place Kenna found herself thinking back to a time when she had taken a bath in the little Oasis pond herself. That was the day she'd met Adrian. Her mate. Her left ear flickered as a few mature thoughts crossed her mind before refocusing on the conversation. Leviothan continued their playful banter a moment longer before leaning in close with a wink of his own. "Actually, though, I was trying to think of a new project to work on. I think I need to broaden my horizon. There's this instrument I've seen about, something that starts with a 'G' that seems to catch my attention so I'm trying to think of the best wood to make it. Perhaps you could help, hmm?" Kenna blinked. 'An instrument that starts with a 'G'? She thought to herself before stomping her foot and clapping her hands together excitedly. "Oh! You mean a guitar!? She exclaimed, eyes lighting up passionately. "I love guitars! I've always wanted to learn to play one. Making one sounds even more fun!" Her tail was simply a blurr of fur behind her in her enthusiasm.

"I'd love to help! I can ask Adrian what his guitar is made of! He's had the thing longer than I've known him." She smiled, speaking of her mate, unsure of whether or not Leviothan knew of the grey and brown male. "And of course, there could be payment of your choice in it. Not that I want to talk business or anything. It always bores me." Kenna shrugged and chuckled. "I'm with you there. We can talk business when we're actually starting on our projects." Stepping forward with a paw extended for her pack mate to shake, the woman giggled at his next question. "So is it working? My magic?" Kenna beamed. "Well, if we've got ourselves a deal, which I think we do, I'd say it is. I mean look at it this way, you're gonna get to see a lot more of me now, and I definitely will enjoy seeing a lot more of you and getting to know you better. So yeah, I'd pretty much say you're magic is effective." She winked and wagged her tail. "You've successfully drawn me into your scheme." The hybrid woman gave a playful growl before leaning down to pick up the statue she'd been given.

"If you don't mind getting a head start on it, wanna take a walk with me and see if we can't work out some sort of plan? We can enjoy nature and each other's company while we plot?" She offered and swished her tail. "Mixing business with pleasure I always find works best." Kenna said with one last teasing wink before waving her free paw and ticking her head in the direction deeper into Treetop Terrace. "Come on, it'll be fun." She smiled, an inviting glimmer in her eyes.

OOC: Okay... So, I definitely don't expect you to write as much as I did because I think I got a little carried away with this one... like a lot, but what can I say, writing with you inspires me! <3 Um, I'll definitely be messaging you and I would like to have a more recent time period thread with Kenna and Leviothan when you're up for it cause I think that this is something we can definitely plan out and work with. :D

Form:(Optime)/Secui/Lupus

Word Count: +1611 (And it's not even SoSu time yet! >_< BAD KITTY!

Leviothan shifted slightly under the gaze of Kenna, happy that the young wolfess seemed interested enough in him that she could continue their conversation with ease. With each passing moment, the flame colored wolf grew closer to the acknowledgement that this was probably the most he'd said to another wolf in quite a long time. With that realization, his fingers curled slightly harder within the sand at his legs, writhing through the softness of his sap stained pants, dark cindered eyes caught on Kenna's even more beautiful gaze. With her smile and soft sound, he inched closer and finally away from the tree. He'd stood which made it easier to pass what he needed to her and with the realization that she indeed liked the carved statuette, his lips split wide with a calm, yet uncontrolled happiness that could have burst at the seams at any moment now, past, or future. Her words brought a thrill of pride, perhaps a more then ample amount of confidence then he could bare, yet had gotten all the same and a creeping laugh that sent his tail swinging left and right behind him. "I'm glad you like it. I put a lot of work into that one. And even the ones I have back at my new home. You should come by some time to take a look." He mused innocently, watching as she placed the small statue on the stump beside her. He hadn't taken all the time in the world observing the other wolf, but now that he got the chance, he couldn't help but smile even more radiantly then she seemed to be doing at this very moment. "Good. It's meant for you. Otherwise I wouldn't have felt the urge to give it to you." He gave a quick wink of those cindered eyes before moving back to lean against the tree. "And patience is only gained with time. Honestly, I have too much of it to myself. Not enough things to take it up. Which... is also another reason I'm out here. Of course talking to a very beautiful wolf is a good reason as well."

He nudged his elbow against the tree, looking down silently with a hint of amusement tugging at the soft roundness of his cheeks in movement from his strained smile, scars stretched. His suggestion seemed to be all she needed to come to a stand, but yet again it brought a small chuckle that rose deep within his chest to reverberate in a friendly sound that streamed through the air about them. His voice was soft, not too deep, not too high pitched. Just perfect for a young wolf like himself. He could have even been handsome in a rugged sort of manner, and of course she'd told him such already. "Exactly! I've been trying to set something up since I first joined Cercatori. Of course, it hasn't gone very smoothly with me not really knowing many of the other packmates. But I think we could pull this off. I'm good with my hands, if you know what I mean." He hadn't really meant it in a suggestive tone, but of course that was there. Very clearly, in fact. After all, he was a guy. "I'd like to see what you could do. Maybe something small and we can work you up to big projects. The biggest I've gone so far is a bow, but I'm sure that we could get to things like boats and carts. Even fence posts." He paused for a moment when she got to the something he'd been thinking about as of late. Carving scenery inside the actual wood. He'd always wanted to try something and it was just on the verge of happening. Creating a printing press. It'd help the packmates around him, if they didn't know how to read, to learn so and in fact, it could help the pups. He shifted slightly on his feet and crossed the small plot of land to come closer toward Kenna, sharp eyes catching on the wooden buck as she spoke. Life sized animals, hmm? Could be very interesting. Leviothan had never really carved a life sized before. Only the small figurines. Technically, he could learn a lot from Kenna and she could learn a lot from him. It was a mutual concept that kept revolving and each of them had tons to give.

It was highly beneficial to both parties. "Life sized? You'll have to show me that first. I think it'd be amazing for us to ..." He paused mid-sentence as an idea graced his mind, a grin slowly spreading over his lips. It was like lightning had struck the poor wolf but when he spoke again, he didn't continue off from where he'd started. There was no need to with the ideas that were steadily flowing from both of their lips in their heated excitement. "It's a shame you haven't had much practice as of yet with the brush. Perhaps I could fix that and help you make a few more brushes. Maybe get you some pencils to work with if you'd like to draw. Led isn't too hard to trade for, nor is graphite. You just got to know where to find them in Halifax." He pardoned himself from skipping all over the place with his words for a moment to move closer to the beautiful Kenna. He was quite unsure of how his comments were registering with Kenna, yet as if feeling the heat that was accumulating at her cheeks, he finally let the distance between the two close itself off so he could, experimentally, reach out to touch the side of her arm. "Down and dirty?" His wink had long since passed and he was sure that he'd make the mistake of doing it again, yet hadn't by the time he backed away from touching her arm. It was a move that he probably shouldn't have made, yet it made the very flesh of his hand heat considerably and if he could have produced sweat, then it was highly likely that his innocent palms would have been coated in the thin substance. Those cindered eyes found their way secretively toward the edge of the Terrace before her words seemed to hit home. Only her to see him, to smell him for the time being. It was a comforting thought that curled in his mind and slowly seemed to gain heat the more times he gazed upon her.

When the sound of a bird singing its seasonal call abruptly interrupted their exchange, a grin crossed his lips so he looked up high and toward the sound and where it had come from. The bird itself was small, yet firm like himself, even if he was one of the taller wolves. Even slim and muscular. He had a handsome build if he'd ever seen one. Sebastian had quite literally had a hay ride with the young wolf! Naughty thoughts of his own seemed to take him by surprise and he had to abruptly turn his head from Kenna as if to keep the blush hidden from her gaze. When finally he'd gotten to the topic at hand, the guitar, Kenna seemed to know exactly what he was talking about and the very fact that she had brought him closer to the realization that the two were meant to find and speak with each other. They had so much in common without actually being each other and yet, both seemed to have their weaknesses and bad spots. When she spoke about wanting to learn how to play one, but knowing that actually creating it could be fun, Leviothan's face nearly split with a grin. He hadn't known that she was also an aspiring musician. A long time back his mother had told him he had a good singing voice. Well enough that he could take his skills into the world and do good with them, but not well enough that it could make him a living. He thought he sounded average, honestly and that thought alone made him hesitate on what he'd thought about doing next. Instead he simply gave a nod of his head. "We could make it together if that's the case. I'm sure that Adrian would help. Even though I haven't officially been introduced to him yet." That should have cleared up any thoughts of whether he knew him or not. He honestly didn't know if Kenna was available, but she'd flirted back when he'd done so so the thoughts in his mind only rang up one possibility. She was available. His head tilted slightly with her more then welcome explanation of his magic worth. He laughed excitedly about it.

It was funny to think that he'd been able to drawl Kenna in with his usual self. Most people seemed excitable enough about him but it'd been a while since he'd had this chemistry with anyone, especially with an aspiring friendship such as theirs which seemed to be already heightening. "Let's make it a deal then. We'll get to know each other pretty well. I like to know the people I work with, even though I feel like I've known you my whole life." He leaned over to nudge her with a playful smirk at his lips. It was then that her words caught him and he found himself deliberating on the topic at hand. A head start and pleasure to boot? Who could pass up an opportunity like that, especially with Kenna, the gorgeous luperci? He reached out to pat against her paw before abruptly walking in that direction. "What are you waiting for, silly?"
