[IF + SL] The Second Boreas Conflict
#1
[html]
The Second Boreas Conflict

A group of wolves has returned to Nova Scotia with plans to cause as much damage to Inferni and Salsola as possible. They view this as both a personal and religious war, and will use both of these as justifications for their actions.

The Backstory

In the spring and summer of 2012, a group of wolves acting under the name Boreas arrived in Nova Scotia. Self-righteous and hateful, they launched a series of attacks on Inferni and Salsola. Though this eventually resulted in a terrible loss for the Boreas wolves, it seems that not everyone has forgotten about the conflict...especially those who survived it.

Mated couple Sindri and Emilie Fannar, who escaped the massacre, went on to return to their homeland. There, finding their lands changed after aggressive actions by Scintilla, they were forced to migrate north with the rest of their larger group. Spreading exaggerated stories of the “Northern Barbarians” they had fought and survived, the pair became well-known and high ranking within the pack...and spawned a great number of children who believed in their cause.

They were not alone, however. Relatives of those fallen members, especially younger ones who grew up living in the “oppression” of a coyote-dominated territory, became eager to find a new scapegoat for their troubles. Eventually, these feelings developed into a well-organized plan to see that these heathens and false-believers were justly punished for their actions.

The Boreas Wolves

Boreas is a group of extremely religious, xenophpobic wolf survivalists hailing from Zion. Locked in a war with the Scintilla coyotes spanning years, the Boreas are are well-trained in fighting techniques as well as guerrilla-style tactics.

For information on Boreas ranks, roles, and recruits, please see this wiki page.

Participation

Please see the individual Inferni and Salsola information topics for special event threads, prompts, and sign-ups for your respective pack!

Future updates will be made in this thread as we near the climax of our plot!

Temporary Characters

Want to participate in our plot, but don't have an Inferni or Salsola character? Or do you want a chance to play one of the Boreas baddies? Never fear -- pick up a temporary character!

Please Note!

Remember to be courteous and inform the leadership of any large-scale ideas (e.g., large battles, deep trespassing and destruction of territory) that you might have; we may or may not include them for realism and other reasons. Smaller events (e.g., one-on-one tussles in neutral territory, trespassing that conforms to the procedures, scouting out information) are generally okay -- but if you aren’t sure, just ask!

Additionally, we do ask that you do not kill or maim NPCs without permission! NPC deaths will be negotiated during plot threads. Permission is not needed to kill off your temp characters.

Like the raids, the final battle will be split into several different groups. These are the preliminary groups -- but if you want to be added or were forgotten on the list, let me know!

It would also be helpful if you could indicate whether or not you'd like to be a thread starter, as well as whether or not you want your character (or one of their NPCs) to die. ;)
