<h2>Welcome to our first Storyline:<br>The Mists</h2>
<p>Something strange seems to have descended upon the realm of New Caledonia. </p>

<p>With autumn in full swing the realm has been overtaken by a damp storm system that has coated the territory in a thick layer of fog and dreary rain. Members have begun to complain of seeing figures and hearing things out in the mist. Is our new home haunted?</p>

<h3 id="nameOfSubheader">Join the Story:</h3>
<P>For the month of October you may have your character interact with any of the following in addition to our <a href=https://sites.google.com/view/souls-new-caledonia/monthly-thread-prompts>spook-tacular October Thread Prompts</a>: </p>

<p><ul>
<li>Finding blood strewn throughout New Caledonia’s territory. Pools of it can be found at the base of certain trees in the Enedwaith.</li>
<li>Someone has also taken it upon themselves to write messages in a scrawling creepy hand throughout The City Square in blood. Messages may include: <BR>
- "She’s always watching."<BR>
- "Hush now" <BR>
- "You’re next" <BR>
- "Water runs deep"<BR>
<li>Strange idols and offerings can be found if one knows where to look. Many of them are located close to water sources. The creepier the better!</li>
<li>... Do you have any ideas? Jump into the #story_telling channel of our pack Discord and share your ideas and excitement!</li>

<h3 id="nameOfSubheader">Collect Honor:</h3>
Please reference our <a href=https://sites.google.com/view/souls-new-caledonia/pack-game>Pack Game</a> in order to review how to collect Honor.

<P>Please submit all related threads here! Each thread submitted will net your character +25 Honor! So be sure to update your points claims as we go along.</p>

<h2>Note</h2>
<P>As prompts are completed and explored other facets of the story will be released! The more participation we get from characters, the more plot points will be added! </P>

<H2>Clarification</h2>
<P>If you choose to utilise two prompts in one thread you will get 25 points. (ie. October thread prompt + Plot Prompt = 25 points and not 35 (10+25). We want to emphasize the plot and reward activity in relation to it! Thanks everyone!</P>

Myst has created an awesome addition for our signatures to track our honor! Feel free to use this to track honor collected in New Caledonia, and when SoSu comes along... to track your word count!

How to use:

1. Change CHARACTER to your character's name. It appears four times, so make sure to catch 'em all!
   
2. Update the current honor/honor goal display to be what you want

<h2>Are you ready?</h2>
<p>Same rules as before: <br>

<h2>Oh, the bell, bells bells!</h2>
<p>You will find two additional prompts listed below. Tread carefully Caledonians!
<br>

• To the shock and horror of all the old belltower has begun to chime at odd hours. The sound is deafening and can be heard for miles around. Largely in a state of disrepair the occurrence is disconcerting and nearly beyond belief. Could this all be the work of the same person? Perhaps...but strangely there is no sight nor scent of blood.
  
• Strange scarecrow-like figures have been sighted among the forested areas of New Caledonia. Their construction is crude: topped with stag-skulls they are tied together with woven vines and many sport hanging bones or dried moss. From afar their silhouettes loom foreboding in the fog, calling to mind local superstitions of wendigos, and other frightening creatures. Closer inspection reveals faint smears of blood upon the skulls.

<h2>The End is Near</h2>

<P>As the pack comes upon mid-November, Vodeva is still missing. But it would seem that some members of the pack have found scent trails, scraps of fabric caught against brambles, and broken twigs that could lead them toward where she's been hidden.

<P>We require a small group of New Caledonians to find the missing Queen-consort.

<h3>The Scene</h3>
<BR>On November 17th a group patrolling the Lebennin discover a thin and frail looking Vodeva wandering alone. Her hands are dirty and covered in blood, and she is confused and unsure of her surroundings. It appears that the wound on her torso has been dressed and bandaged, though by now it has begun to tatter at the edges and is barely visible from beneath her thin shift.

Sign up by posting to this News item to take part in finding the Queen. We will have a small group (limit: three individuals + their respective cNPCs) find her and summon the King and Lord-Regent, before the thread opens to anyone else with a curious eye and a tongue for gossip. <P>November came and went, and with the dissipating of The Mists Vodeva has been found! During a patrol a small group of New Caledonians consisting of Percival, Arran, and Fennore were able to locate her.

<P>And my, how things have changed! Vodeva returns to us haunted and blood stained - with no idea how long she's been missing or where she's been hiding. Iomair is more reserved since his wife's return, and seems leery of strangers now more than ever.
