Through the good, the bad, and the ugly, Salsola would forever be Eden's home. He wasn't sure he would be happy anywhere else, though that thought had made him think back to his aunt. There were times when he still missed her, but it probably wouldn't look good on him to go out looking for her. There were more important things to do around here. Besides, there was one project going on that involved the building he spent a fair amount of time at, as well at the hunt for someone whom had been labeled Pentiti. It was the ultimate disgrace.

Summer was still in full swing, but it wouldn't be like that for much longer. Soon enough, it would be fall, creeping closer to winter. It will be nice to be able to watch the seasons change, and bring another year coming around to where it had all began for him. The thought of his birthday made him think of his family. It had been some time since he had really spent time with them, especially his Dad and Papa. He had heard they moved homes, somewhere in the Ruins, which had been a shock.

He recalled the reason his Dad lived so far away was because he wasn't really a social person. On the plus side, at least getting to his home would be much easier now.

Even though he was going over just to catch up, the Apprentice saw no reason that he shouldn't at least look his best. His hair had been brushed out, tied loosely behind him. He had decided he would wear one of his new dresses rather than his usual tank top and pants. He was feeling much more comfortable in them than he was his other clothing, though they were still kept a part of his wardrobe. If anything, they could be used as clothes he didn't mind getting messy. They could always be cleaned later.

Eden made his way from the tower, following the paths in the Ruins until he came to his Dad's new home. Brushing out any last minute wrinkles, he padded up to the door, giving a knock, "Dad? Papa? It's Eden."

Headlights are coming, showing me the way

With Autumn knocking on their door, Coaxoch had begun to worry that his garden would die out before it had much chance to take root for the next spring to come. He worked day in and day out on his garden, caring and tending to each and every plant until they all were cared for and then moving on to his normal daily duties of tending to his horses, and crows. Korosk was an old stallion, and often found himself happier to graze off in the field than to be ridden, but Nightmare was lively and high strung to the point of annoyance if enough attention was not directed towards him. Sometimes, Coaxoch hated the young stallion, even though he was a gift from his father. Other times, Coaxoch was grateful for him

Coaxoch found himself longing find some solace in the Blackwoods, but he knew that he should abstain from leaving the general area until Sebastien had come back home, if only to be able to check in with each other, at the very least.  The Autumn Flower had left early, along with the Red Ghost, but when he had done a little "research", he found that they both had gone in different directions, he had easily dismissed it as Dirge going to an appointment, and Sebastien going out to hunt, possibly.

The home did feel lonely without to two other males around it, and when he had gone inside to take a mid-afternoon nap, he found himself wanting someone to talk to, but not wanting to go out and seek the companionship in the Ruins, or elsewhere. He'd rather stay in his home and have a cup of tea, and relax with some company. He put some water over a flame in a tea kettle and took a seat in a chair that was pushed closer to the fireplace, but was one that spent a lot of time there.

Luckily, the Gods had given him the company just in time as a gentle knock and a muffled voice caught his attention. He got from his chair (that was not much unlike his father's) and he found his way to the door and he opened it to find Eden. Coaxoch smiled at the Apprentice, and welcomed Eden into the home.

"Hey, Eden, come in, come in!" he urged his child into the home and once he was inside, Coaxoch closed the door and motioned for them towards a living area that had a bench and table where he took a seat in a round stool at the end of the table and motioned for the Apprentice to join him.

"Will you have some tea with me?" he asked his child who was not a child anymore.

Time seemed to crawl by as the young male waited for an answer at the door. He had no doubts that someone was going to answer him, but it was a matter of who, and how they were going to react to him. He wasn't sure if they had noticed what he was wearing these days, but he wanted nothing more than to have their support, just as he had his sister's.

Pink gaze brought his father into view as the door opened. He couldn't help but smile, even though inside he was fighting with his thoughts. Both of them had tense moments with one another, but even when it seemed like things would fall apart for them, they always found a way to make up with one another. He loved his family, and nothing was ever going to change that. He didn't want to have to feel like he needed to avoid his father, especially not his father now that he thought about it.

Coaxoch was quick to welcome his son into his home, to which he moved past the door. He came to the table and bench that was gestured to, straightening out his dress before he sat down. His smile grew to his father's offer, "Yes, I would love that. It's been so long since we've been able to do something like this together." Just the two of them.

The two of them.

Eden couldn't help but let his gaze move around. He knew that his father still lived with the same occupants from the church, though Dirge wasn't nearly as important as Sebastian. He felt his ears fall slightly, turning his gaze back over to his father, "Papa is not home today? Did he go out for a while?" He didn't know why it seemed so strange to see the two of them not together, but he was still happy to get some time alone with his Dad.

Headlights are coming, showing me the way

His son had been more than happy to join him for a drink and Coaxoch smiled brightly at the Apprentice. "It's nice to know that you still have time for your old man." he told the Sanctus Apprentice. Eden was moving on up in the ranks of Salsola, while Coaxoch often struggled at his positions, but this was as life just seemed to be for him. He had seemed to be content with his positions, if only he still had been Oathsworn, and when the Queen truly needed him, he would be there for her, even if he had complicated feelings about it.

Coaxoch nodded. "It has been some time since we had a good chat." he agreed with Eden's statement, and he settled down into his chair once more and looked at his child. He truly did remind Coaxoch of Faith, and he was beginning to truly understand why he had pushed away the child for so long, even though he truly didn't mean to. The stress of being a new father without their mother was hard for him, even though he had the support of his own father and The Family behind him, it still weighed heavily on his broken shoulders. The regret of being so unkind to Eden sometimes still weighed upon his shoulders now, but seeing Eden come out to be this beautiful creature had made him feel somewhat good about being able to be Eden's father.

Coaxoch had noticed the recent change in the type of clothing that he liked to wear, and he noticed that Eden was caring for himself in a more gentle way than other males might, but feminine men were not a strange occurrence in his world. Till was very feminine at times, with his skirts and blouses, and Sebastien had some feminine quality to him too. Coaxoch merely found it to be part of the bloodline, perhaps, or maybe Eden was fluid, as Coaxoch was. The Elk merely smiled at his child and he looked at how pretty his garments were. Coaxoch wondered only who was the crafter of the fabric, and not why Eden was wearing it. It was gorgeous on Eden, and Coaxoch liked the confidence that the Apprentice had while wearing it. "I only just put the water over the fire, so it will be a few minutes." Coaxoch mentioned only a moment before Eden asked of the Autumn Flower's absence.

"We have the house to ourselves. Sebastien went out to hunt, or garden, I presume, and Dirge is off doing Dirge-y things, I suppose." he spoke as he shrugged his shoulders and smiled at his kid. "You look well, Eden. I really love your garments, are they new?" he asked the Apprentice, hoping to get some information out of him about the origins of the specific dress he wore on this day.

Eden couldn't help but frown at Coaxoch's comment. He was certain it was just something meant to be said in good fun, but it was something that made the son feel a little guilty. It was true that he had gotten busier since he had climbed the ranks in Salsola, but that should never be an excuse to keep him away from his family. He should have done something like this a while ago. Ears moved down, fingers curling a bit as there was a slight whine to his voice, "That's mean Dad.. you know I don't mean it to be like that. I always have time for you and my family.."

His face did soften once the moment had passed. What mattered the most was that he was here now, sitting with his father and getting the chance to partake in spending time with him. What was once a frown became a smile once again, watching as the tan man had come to join his son at the table. He gave a nod to his father's words about the tea, feeling his body relax more.

It was a shame that Sebastien would not be able ot join them, but this was just as good. Dirge, for being a part of his family, didn't really feel as close as Eve and his Papa did. The orange man had spent a fair amount of time sharing a space with the smaller part of their family, but there wasn't a great amount of time to get to know him like he had others. Still, perhaps that would change in the future, "I see. You'll have to tell Papa that I miss him and we should spend some time together the next time I am here once I leave."

Pink gaze shifted to the dress he wore. This had been the one thing he was the most worried about, yet Coaxoch seemed to take it all in stride. It was a little surprising to tell the truth, but something that also made his heart flutter. He had the acceptance he was hoping for, and it was something that made his smile grow wider, "Yeah. Lyra donated a few to me when I found her by the storage."

He paused for a moment, still a little worried. He shouldn't be, and let it go, but he found himself speaking up again, "You don't mind it?"
