Lancaster Stock Show: Best in Show
Table of Contents

Folks from all around have gathered at the Lancaster Stockyard to put their companions to the toughest test of all: getting watched, and judged, by utter strangers, on seemingly mundane and biased bases! The corrals and pens have been cordoned off to a singular entry point, and each visitor is given a handful of crudely carved acorns - each one bearing a symbol to represent each "class" of animal - horses, large hoofstock, small hoofstock, and fowl! Tour through the Stockyard's grounds and pick your favorites from each group by depositing your acorn into the animal's corresponding bucket to anonymously vote!
Owners will not be permitted to meddle with the buckets to prevent any tampering with the vote.
► HOW TO VOTE:
-- Players may vote via IC accounts in our polls to select their favorite animal for each Class. Please refrain from voting on OOC Accounts.
-- Characters do not need to vote for every Class of animal, but they may only vote once for each Class.
-- Characters who have submitted their animals for "Best in Show" are permitted to vote! They're just not allowed to fuss around the voting boxes or snoop/sway the votes of other Characters.
-- Comment below to catalog which of your characters has voted and for what category! (Do not disclose which animal you have voted for~) Note: DCG Players engaging in the vote may collect 5 game points for every DCG character engaged in voting.
-- Votes are considered anonymous In Character - Characters may disclose their votes at the Player's discretion.

Equine Class

- Appearance: A “cream palomino” mare, of American Quarter horse and American Warmblood descent. Blue eyes. Comes in right around 17 HH and weighs somewhere around 1300 pounds.
- Temperment: Docile, enthusiastic and willing to work hard for her owner— and no one else.
- Owned by: Bennett Braithwaite

- Appearance: Jed is a black stallion with a white diamond on his forehead, with white socks on all but his front left leg.
- Temperment: Stubborn, aloof, proud.
- Owned by: Theodore Reeves

- Appearance: Loom is a fjord horse cross with the typical coloration. His mane is flaxen with a dark stripe up the middle, which Notch clips in fancy styles.
- Temperment: Calm, willing to work, friendly.
- Owned by: Notch

- Appearance: He is a large horse, towering over most average sized animals. His thick limbs and broad back give a nod to his draft blood, which almost completely eclipsed his mother's breeding. Tobias is completely Sepia Skin in coloration. He has a white sock on his right forehoof, and a coronet on both left hooves.
- Temperment: Friendly and eager, Tobias is not a difficult horse -- though neither is he suited for beginners and the completely inexperienced.
- Owned by: Jethro Lykoi

- Appearance: Blue roan with a white blaze, Amaday has a short, broad back, low withers, and long legs.
- Temperment: Curious, playful, and perhaps a little stubborn, though well-meaning.
- Owned by: Rafaela Tejada
Large Hoofstock Class

- Appearance: Pim has a thick and stocky build, with long horns that curve gently upwards from his head. He has a brindled coat with a white head, dorsal stripe, and legs.
- Temperment: Loyal, docile, and gregarious. Pim loves Luperci!
- Owned by: Percival Parhelion
- Appearance: Unique coloring, strawberry blonde with a more vivid root. He is a large and hefty animal, capable of pulling wagons and working in the bitter cold. Oddly luxurious fur for a working animal, Cletus' boasts long and silky strands that take effort to tend too in order to prevent matting or staining. He has a pink nose and gentle eyes, rimmed with long blonde eyelashes.
- Temperment: Cletus' personality would be described is curious, but slow to react. He is not a spirited animal, and is content to graze and hang out by Aberama when not being put to work. He does get along with other animals as he's a castrated bull, and is valued for his temperament. Calm, a bit slow. Gets along with other animals, generally affable. Loves being brushed.
- Owned by: Aberama Gold

- Appearance: A very large, all-white, Chianina steer. Has not had his horns removed - someone has tied a ribbon gaily around one of them. Fat and in good condition after a plentiful summer. Very hard to keep clean but Mal will do his best :(
- Temperment: Placid/docile to the extreme. Lazy to motivate unless food is involved. Slow and steady wins the race. Indiscriminantly affectionate, and loves a good scratchin' on the chin or flank. Doesn't seem to know his own strength and can therefore accidentally injure those not used to handling cattle just by moving about (don't get your toes stood on!).
- Owned by: Malik Amaranthe
Small Hoofstock Class

- Appearance: A sheep of romanov descent with white on her forehead and framing her nose, and a black face that fills into a gray woolen coat, which once grown out becomes a cream coloration.
- Temperment: Docile and very sweet.
- Owned by: Peony Braithwaite

- Appearance: A seven month old sheep with equal parts Suffolk, Rhoen, Shetland, and Ram. Black head and legs and underside with fade into lighter colored and white wool on top. Small slim curved black horns.
- Temperment: Docile, friendly, thinks she's a dog.
- Owned by: Bête Noire Loner Band

- Appearance: Black, white & grey American Pygmy Goat. Round, short, stout, and very handsome.
- Temperment: Mischevious, flightly - typical goat things.
- Owned by: Sugabear Perrin du Lac
