Welcome to this year's Salsolan Birthday Raffle! In an effort to thank you all for being members of Salsola and keeping us going strong for another year, we're giving out some presents Out-of-Character and In-Character prizes for participating in threads during Salsola's Birthday Month, as well as for participating in this month's pack event!
How can you get a prize? Earn some pretty Thistle Tickets and enter in our birthday raffle! The more Thistle Tickets you have, the higher chance you'll have at winning one of our birthday prizes! How do you get Thistle Tickets? If you scroll down, you'll see that we've made a list of what your involvement this month can net you in tickets! Each ticket group lists the various ways to earn them!

» In-Character Prizes
IC Prizes are won by Prize Group. The winning Player(s) may choose one bullet from the available options. The actual IC prizes will be gifted by the Mafiosi, purchased through their/the Kingdom's wealth. All exotic items would be imported trades. They, as well as any custom order or animal, would have been things brought back from Portland. Players that choose an animal prize will be able to choose its age and appearance, however, exotic types/breeds/imports are not allowed.- IC Prize Group 1: (1 winner)
- Custom armor or weapon piece
- Custom clothing made from imported materials (eg. silk)
- Custom (Portland-built) or locally-built wood furnishing (eg. table, cabinet, storage barrel/crate, jewelry box, etc.)
- Exotic fur (eg. bison, tiger, zebra, etc.)
- Grade horse (basic skillset)
- Custom armor or weapon piece
- IC Prize Group 2: (2 winners)
- Custom horse saddle
- Exotic/ornate decorative or ceremonial item or accessory (eg. ivory figurine/dagger, jade figurine/jewelry, etc.)
- Tool set of your choosing (eg. basic hardware, carpentry, sewing, writing, fishing, etc.)
- One small hoofstock animal (donkey, goat, pig, or sheep)
- Custom horse saddle

- Wait, so I can get Thistle Tickets on threads that aren't related to this month's main pack event?
- Yep! The only catch? It has to be within Salsola's sub-forum / territory though ;)
- Are the Icon, Art, and IC prizes treated as different raffles?
- Yes. You could possibly win the limited edition Icon, an Art prize, and an IC prize if you wish to have your raffle tickets entered into all three prize pools.
- Are the prizes won by player or by character?
- They are won by player. Even if you have multiple Salsolans, your Thistle Tickets will be collectively accumulated under you as their player instead of individually. If you win an IC prize, you can choose which of your Salsolan characters that it is awarded to. If you win an art prize, you can choose it to be of any Salsolan character that you wish. The limited edition icon prize can only be awarded to one of your active Salsolan characters.
- What if I have multiple characters joining a thread? Can I claim Thistle Tickets on each additional character of mine?
- Yes. You can only claim the full amount of Thistle Tickets on the first character that joins the thread, however. For any additional character(s) that join the thread, you may only claim 1 Thistle Ticket.
This cannot be used for Self-Threads, however. For those, you can only claim Thistle Tickets once (in other words, only on the first character). This is to discourage players from purposely doing multiple Self-Threads in order to double-dip on Thistle Tickets. It's more fun when we play with and help each other, after all ;D

- Can we use threads that were started before this Newspost?
- As long as they were started in May, yes, you may use them.
