For Fennore

It seemed that not only was Fennore at a bit of a loss for words, but she couldn't help but correct herself when it came to understanding the land which the hound had come from. It was a bit obvious, though returning to how she was before, it seemed that the pale woman had little understanding of the land the jackal came from. Much of her tribe and its inner workings could be left in secret, one primary one being their location.

Even with the war over, there was not telling who could ultimately be trusted with such information. It was a good thing that Cario was nearby, as there were many that gathered there. It was like Portland, but across the sea on another land all together.

She spoke in acknowledgement, the dark male at her side offering nothing than a few grunts. At least he seemed to be making some kind of effort to be included, even if he wasn't speaking entirely.

It seemed that speaking on the subject of slavery had struck some kind of cord with those that were present, save for Sigríður, whom had already had this information told to her before. She didn't like to think back to those days, the days of war and heartbreak that drove her to come here. There wouldn't be much point to dwelling on the past, not when all it would do is bring up some negative emotions, and negative reactions.

It would be better to move on from this.

Nkechi nodded to Fennore's following words, though the hound perked up more to the sound of her sister's name. A grin moved across her muzzle, "That's the one. I presume she's been doing well here." The jackal couldn't help but wonder why the sisters would have come to this place at different times, but she wasn't going to pry.

Clearly, none of them were entirely keen on continuing with the topic of slavery. Fennore really had never encountered such a barbaric phenomenon herself, and of course she was clueless to Amon's past beyond a few bits and pieces he was coaxed into spilling. She never knew how close to home such a topic hit him.

At least, not yet.

She was Salka's sister, after all; a curious little thing, and the Moonwraith graced the hound with a smile. "Certainly," she affirmed, and the visage of the other red-headed woman appeared in her mind before being replaced by her blood-kin before her. "She's quite an interesting character," she added, nodding as though with approval.

Behind her, Amon seemed to be growing a tad restless; he was always this rigid and brooding, for sure, but somehow his aura had shifted since the off-handed mention. Glancing at the ground momentarily, breaking her gaze with the pair of women, Fennore lightly touched her companion's arm, returning her eyes to Nkechi with a slightly apologetic look.

"I suppose we ought to be going," she stated, her pale hand falling from Amon's. "But please do not hesitate to visit if you so wish; we are neighbors, after all, so I am only a heartbeat away." Fennore was quite willing to assist the females should they ask; showing them around the Realm or keeping them company in a new pack, she was certainly capable of doing.

gonna try to wrap this up if i can, feel free to reply again though! <3 [+248]

Word Count → +300 :: We can end it here. Thanks for the thread.

Sigríður couldn't help but let out a laugh to the pale woman's words. She was quite the character huh. Well considering the sister she was being compared to, guess that was one way to put it. The two of them had become estranged with one another, though that was quite one way of putting Salka's personality. She really would have to find the time to meet up with her sister, a meeting that could either go very well, or very poorly.

The jackal couldn't help but look past Fennore, noticing that her companion was growing rather uncomfortable. She couldn't help but wonder if it was because of something she had said. It wasn't a kind thing to speak about, but it would only be rude not to explain what she was doing here. The feeling of having to leave home to be whole was one that constantly stabbed her in the heart.

She could only hope that New Caledonia was truly the place where she might be able to rebuild herself.

Turquoise eyes refocused when the pale woman spoke up again, claiming the pair should be on their way. Of course, there would be more chances for them to speak, but considering the way the darker man was shifting about, perhaps it would be best to let them be on their way. There was something the two of them were meant to be doing anyways. Lowering her head slightly, Nkechi addressed the both of them, "Yes. It was a pleasure getting to know the both of you. We will be sure to stop by sometime in the future."

The jackal watched the two of them begin to move on, feeling the presence of the hound coming up at her side, "Well, that was charming. Shall we head back home ourselves?"

"We still have a spot to scout out for a small workshop."

"Damn, and here I thought you might have forgotten about that."
