Re: LET'S TALK HORROR MOVIES

Omg I watched Babadook a few weeks ago and even though the visual effects weren't as polished as other movies (which was intentional I guess!) it was definitely still pretty scary!! The atmosphere was well done, I thought. Funny thing, though, I could NEVER remember what it was called so in my head I kept being like "Oh no what if the bazoogleduck/bagooglie/bojangles/badingdoop/blipadoo comes for me!!" whenever I walked through my house in the dark.

I am not a big fan of horror movies because they stay with me FOREVER. I will not sleep at all. But I like to know the plots because it's interesting, so I'll go wiki the horror movie and then go onto google image search and squint my eyes so I can kinda basically get the gist of what it is LOL.

Oddly, exorcism of emily rose didn't really scare me at all? 8I

I don't like exorcism of emily rose because its scary i just love the story in it, I'm that way with a lot of horror movies. Most just make me laugh, while others result in me sleeping on the couch because terror :| (technically my bedroom is underground and has no windows and i am scared of the dark and its like a TOMB guys)

OH HORROR MOVIES, YOU ARE MY FAVORITE!~

i watch everything. i love absolutely every kind of horror movie, though torture porn (think hostel) and gross out gore (human centipede) are a bit too much for me. I have a very weak stomach. If I think of something I think is gross too hard I start dry heaving.

Nightmare on Elm street series is my original love, as is Child's Play (watched that one when I was about for. Still get creeped out at that movie) seen all the halloween's, friday the 13th, the classics.

Children of the Corn is a personal favorite (stephen king I love you so)

Guillermo del Toro is made of win, love his stuff~

This October I'm actually gonna blog about something I intend to do every october and that's my 1 a day horror movie spree I do, culminating in all my favorites on halloween night!

Currently gonna rewatch http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0464141/, The Orphanage tonight. Spanish language movie. Very scary and suspenseful and the end makes me cry like a child every time. Heartbreaking movie.

The conjuring is another more recent favorite. Great possession movie. The clapping game in it is super scary.

Stephen King is a god!

I have yet to watch a lot that you listed, but I'm a HUGE fan of 80's - 90's monster flicks. Re-animator, An American Werewolf in London, The Fly, The Thing, ALL THE STUFFS

I just watched the Babadook last night! Super creepy, though I wasn't really scared by it. Turns out it was actually a really clever metaphor for depression (you can't get rid of the Babadook..)

I absolutely love horror for the same reason you don't, haha! I love the plots and especially practical effects. I always research waay too much about the movie and the production.
