The parchment and charcoal was clenched loosely as he strode about, dragging his feet into the dirt and making long lines with his claws. To the casual observer it would look like Honrin had finally jumped off the deep end, dragging lines in the dust with his feet and occasionally scribbling down notes or sketching a drawing on his parchment.

If any bothered to ask him however what he was doing, they'd get a barely responsive Honrin who was much into his research project. Every so often his eyes would turn to the stone buildings that were dotted around the inner Fort and he would make tutting noises and squint heavily.

Footfalls against the ground had an ear turning briefly but not much else until it drew much closer and only then did Honrin look up, smiling down at his black pelted father,

"Da, what do you think then?" He held out his paperwork for his father to look over, the diagrams and dimensions of his project, the thoughts and hopes he had and also gestured to the lines in the earth that were a very basic blueprint. Temo would help him to build this, his father the master wood-builder.

And he became the sun, to shine upon the worthy

Padded footfalls barely made noise as Temo wandered over to his son. The older wolfdog had decided to investigate when he had noticed Honrin busy marking up a piece of parchment and the ground around him. Temo had found this behavior to be outside his usual norm of being under the influence of hydrocarbon molecules in a dihydrogen monoxide suspension and required his attention to check out what was going on.

His approach did not go unnoticed and his brow furrowed when he was presented with the drawings that Honrin was working on. He studied the parchments and the ground and in his mind built a three dimensional representation of the structure that was currently in the planning stages. Calculations went through his mind as he figured out the load points and other details that he knew would need consideration.

Looks ok, his reply slightly distant as he was in deep thought with his studying the drawings, but there was just one small issue that Temo was having a hard time figuring out, I can see you are designing a building, but for what? he asked the self made architect that was stood next to him with the plans in charcoal dust covered paws.

Honrin was a conglomeration of both of his parents but maybe not the best mix as he held both of their stubborn natures and inconceivably fierce sense of determination. He would work and work and work until he dropped. Temo's sense of humor wrapped up in Jace's dry wit. It was a brazen blend that made him similar and yet utterly unique.

He could build with the same mindedness, creating a wooden structure that stood and dipped into the ground. Golden eyes gleamed with that same determination. The grin he exhibited was just shy of savage,

It's a type of growing place, it goes into the ground and you build up and around it and cover it with clear material. It takes the sun and makes it stronger somehow, so you can grow earlier in the season and keep things later. Maybe even over winter. The possibilities were spread out like dice thrown from a gambler's hand, and they would land where they may.

With hands and unknowingly his forehead and ears stained with the black of charcoal where he had brushed his hair away idly.

Hmmmm was all that came out of the elder as he processed the new information and continued to look over the plans. It made more sense now that he had a better idea of what his son had planned. Years ago, it was easier to figure out what Honrin had bouncing around in his mind, however, more recently, it was considerably difficult with him moping about and being almost constantly under the influence of some sort of mind altering substance. And Temo usually just ended up wondering where he had gone wrong with raising the boy.

Something started to nag at him in the back of his mind. Nothing major, just something was not adding up as he continued to study the plans with the occasional glance at the marks on the ground. hmmmm escaped through his lips once more as he rotated and turned the drawing in his mind. It was another few moments before his subconscious had finally figured out what it was and sent the answer up to his conscious and he realized what was bothering him. The elder of the two looking over the plans then had to ask the younger one, Where is the door?

He waited, slightly on edge to see what it was his father would find wrong. In recent times there was a new and uncomfortable strain there between the two of them. Honrin didn't know what he could do to bridge the gap and indeed was almost afraid to even try for fear of what he might uncover.

Temo hmm'ed and hawed over the plans. Honrin's stomach writhed quietly and he resisted the urge to pluck the small flask from inside his hat and take a sip. He knew his father would not appreciate him drinking on the job.

He moved forwards, black clawed fingers trailing across the parchments,

"This is only the first, deeper layer. I drew it in slices, so it'd be easier to image step by step." Honrin had inherited his father's analytical mind for this type of thing, he worried and gnawed at problems like they were bones until he eventually cracked them or pronounced them unworkable,

"So when I draw up the next layer, the door will go down here." He pointed on the plans. "I wanted to get the shape worked out before the hot parts of autumn come." Like his mother, Honrin suffered heavily in the heat and sun, his thick pelt being a hindrance than a help.

And he became the sun, to shine upon the worthy

ooc goes here

All the pieces started to fall into place and Temo could see the vision that his son had so painstakingly drawn on parchment and in the dirt of the ground. He slowly nodded thinking that maybe Honrin was getting over his need to constantly be in the state of inebriation. The plans and the thoughts that went into the design could not have been made by a mind that was always fogged by the sauce.

Looks like you have put a lot of thought into this and done a fair amount of planning, the elder said as he looked over the plans some more. What are your plans for materials? he asked while he turned away from the drawings and looked at his Son. It took a second to register, and when it did, Temo could not stop a snort of laughter escape his muzzle. So focused on the plans that Honrin was showing him, he had not noticed until that moment the black stains of charcoal all over the other's head, hands and arms. You might want to get yourself cleaned up when we are done here, he suggested as he used a hand to loosely indicate the areas where the black dust had gathered.

Word Count → 000 :: So sorry for the horrendous fucking wait

He'd worked hard on these plans. there was some vague vision coalescing inside of his mind, still a floating cloud for the moment but it was all coming closer together, condensing under its own gravity. Some far away thought of a place in the Brotherhood, of his parents looking at him with pride again. Often though that small voice was drowned out by soul wrenching emptiness, by the clenching pain that sat in his chest. Where are you. His soul silently called.

"Thank you, it took me a while." He was about to answer his father's questions when Temo suddenly burst out in laughter. Puzzled and more than a little baffled, he looked around him for the source of his father's mirth until it was pointed out to him that he should wash. Honrin rubbed his arm against his forehead and grimaced when it came away stained with charcoal dust,

"Ah shit. I knew this would happen. This is what I get for being white and not black." He rubbed at his face and only succeeded in smearing more of it around. Her gave it up as a bad job, "I'm sure Guinevere will help me clean up later. She's got a big mirror." He smirked and shrugged it off in a non-committal manner.

"Well, when I went to Krokar, there was another guy that had something like this. You remember in the old house in Midnight Shores, it had that white box you could open.. and there were those see through things inside. You could pull them out.

I was thinking of seeing if anyone had any of those boxes that I could pilfer from, or go into Halifax and do some searching." It was a solid idea, afterall, what use would other luperci have for refrigerator shelves unless they had the same idea as him.

The elder wolf dog had all but burst out into another bout of laughter as Honrin proceeded to smear the black dust over himself even more. Temo shook his head, I told you that you should have taken after your father instead of your mother, but no, you did not listen to your elder, he jokingly referenced the difference in fur color between the two as if Honrin even had the opportunity to choose. There were times that Temo wished he could paint and this was definitely one of those times as he was sure Jace would have loved to see her son in this state and get a good laugh out of it.

Temo glanced over at Honrin and thought to himself where that help will probably end up. Yes, i remember those white boxes, He said, and I remember that they were murder on the nose when one opened them up and got a whiff of the rotten contents. His nose wrinkled up at the memories of those few times that he had made the mistake of opening up the refrigerators. Other than that, good source of see through sheets. Did you happen to ask where he had gotten his stuff when you were at Krokar? Not that they would go there but it might give them some ideas on where to look.

Honrin
Word Count → --- ::ooc

Honrin remembered the black and white spiral on the side of the abandoned house in Thornberry, he'd drawn in for Dalgina. Sometimes it haunted his dreams, or he'd see it in seemingly harmless things. Patterns that repeated themselves. Honrin folded arms across his chest, one hand still gesticulating as he spoke, a habit he'd picked up from Temo himself,

He said, just like the same. Spare white boxes he found, and yes he did mention cleaning them out was disgusting. Honrin chuckled lightly,

But I figure I can just cover my nose with a cloth soaked in peppermint and tallow. Honrin looked down at his father and noted the ever expanding expanse of greying hairs on bis muzzle and chest. He struggled not to frown as he often did when considering his parents advanced age and that soon they would be parted from him. Taken to the aurora.

He folded up the notes, shaking those thoughts from himself and smiled, Well I'm gonna run and find Luca so we can go over them before I start digging. Thanks for the help Da, I appreciate it. He patted Temo on the shoulder a little awkwardly, there was never any overt displays of affection between the two but it was obvious that the love was there,

Let Mahn know I'll be back for dinner, okay? He spoke as he began to walk away towards the Courthouse.
