Moved it to near New Dawn's territory was

A shape walked through the forests at the edge of Colchester Quarter, bordering the Alcrest Shore.

The female was small in what was supposed to be a large form. She was about the size of a skinny wolf and looked the height but nowhere near the weight. She didn't have much muscle, or meat for that matter, on her bones and she looked delicate. She had long legs and a long tail, looking like a mixture of a deer and fox. Someone that was not familiar with the exotic breed would think that she was a weird coyote with her narrow head and large ears, but her muzzle didn't taper. Her paws were different from most halflings; she had a thumb that could actually grab things. She walked on three legs, the left hind leg held off of the ground. The leg had three scars running across where the Achilles tendon was.

She was silver, almost white in color. Much like the snow or a moonbeam. A darker grizzled grey saddle ran down her back, going from her ears to her tail and was flecked with black hairs. A black mane had sprouted from her neck, but it was shorter than most. A pair of mismatched forest eyes looked out from the winter background. The left was lighter than the right. What many people didn't knw was that she couldn't see out of her left eye. She was clothed due to her thin, desert-adapted fur. A garment was secured at her chest and went down to her wars before ending at her rump. It was silvery and lined with fur. Her legs were also covered in cloth, legwarmers covered the four appendages. A grey and white scarf was also around her neck as well as a pendant carved into the shape of a crescent moon. She also carried a satchel that was small and made of leather.

Avinalora had left Stormblade to do as he pleased back in Anathema while she went to Colchester Quarter to gather bark from trees for poultices. She felt that he should get some time to himself, but she had instructed the foxes and the birds to keep an eyes on him. She was faster on her own, even with her dreadful eyesight and three-legged stance. The wolf was simply not built for speed.

The fox maiden was still a bit wary about strangers despite how long it had been since she had been attacked. She was alone and therefore vulnerable. She would have to be alert today. But, alertness was one of the things that came to her easily. The vixen was born without much of her sight and therefore had to use her other senses. It also helped that her foster mom had emphasized on such. It gave the vixen an advantage sometimes. She could tell a lot about a person before she even saw them.

The silver lady paused as she glimpsed through the tree line, spying the beach. She stopped as a wave of nostalgia hit her. She remembered how many times she walked across that beach to board the ferry so that she could return to Midnight Shores. The memory of Midnight Shores cause a small twinge of pain in her heart, but she was better now. The former Midnighter had been broken after the disbandment, blaming herself and the gods for it. She was better now.

The moon-washed medic shook her head, clearing her mind before she kept on walking. But, she glanced back at the shoreline. There were so many memories left in the sand. If her eyesight wasn't bad, she could have probably seen Prince Edward's Island, but she didn't need to. The moonlit jackal knew that it was there.

The monochrome fox gave up and sat down. She would have to refocus.

Appearance: Night is in Secui form with a black cloak on his back with a leather harness under it with two daggers on it.
OOC: (Imagine Beast from Beauty and The Beast but with a black cloak on his back and a wolf. lol)

Night moved slowly after having made his call to the border of New Dawn and not being answered. He didn't need anyone to tell him that it was gone because there were no signs of wolves having been in the area; not for a long time. He had picked up old smells from those long gone who may have been traveling by. This journey so far had been fun and he managed to pay his respects to the old land of New Dawn in honor of his father.

His pure black fur was an astonishing contrast to the white and cold around him. His fur wasn't the only thing that was as shadow, his nails, and underfur, inside his ears, all of it was as black as coal. There was another contrast about him though and it was the very windows to his soul. His eyes shown like blue crystal compared to the shadow he wore. His eyes were the gates to his kindness and passion, his heart and soul. Someone seeing him might think it a moving black shadow of a lost soul looking for redemption but Night was not his father. No, Night was his father's son. He was born, raised and trained young to be a fighter and survivor and his father would be proud.

He slowly moved around the rocks and bushes in the area, being near the water so as to not be caught off guard if there were others around. This happened to work against him however due to the wind coming from shore but it was windy and cold enough to hide his scent well enough. He slowly stopped as he picked up something, his eyes had saw for a moment, the white of snow but moving over the land. He focused his eyes and there it was. A fox? coyote maybe? Either way, it was another living canine in the area that he would like to get to know. He lifted his head and kept a nonaggressive yet proud look about him as he walked into earshot and he spoke gently enough to be heard but hopefully not startle.

" My name is Night, It's a pleasure to meet someone else out here other than the trees and bushes..." As he finished he lowered his head in a greeting and did not approach so as to not worry the stranger.

Avinalora tried to clear her head. She had gotten over Midnight Shores, or at least she had tried to. There was always that nagging feeling about her old pack, how she could have stopped it from happening. But, her old pack was always in her mind. She couldn't let go, the shadow of her failure still haunted the vixen. She couldn't get over the fact that she hadn't spent much time with her old pack and her sense of smell didn't help her pack-mates.

The fox maiden was pulled out of her thoughts by the sound of someone's presence. She could hear pawsteps, they seemed like they belonged to something big. And they were four-legged. She scented the air, detecting a loner, a male wolf. Her hackles started to raise slightly, remembering the last male that had attacked her. The silver lady got to her feet and turned around to face this new person. She maintained a calm demeanor, deciding when to bolt. She was fast, and she knew that the bigger someone was, the slower they were.

The winter wraith could see an ebony-hued male, his fur a contrast from the white background. He was in his Secui form and quite large. He wasn't as big as Stormblade, but he was still big. He wore a cloak and she could make out some sort of harness under it. The Anatheman healer's mismatched forest eyes met a pair of icy blue eyes. She showed no sign of fear in the presence of the giant, something that she always did.

The stranger offered his name and a greeting. Well, he had manners or something. The moon-washed medic didn't know if the politeness was genuine or not. She didn't get this kind of treatment this often, having been in Anathema. But, she didn't want to let her guard down until she learned more.

"Nice to meet you Night." The monochrome fox said. "I'm Avinalora." She thought it was only fair to exchange names, but she wouldn't tell the wolf her allegiance unless she was asked. She wouldn't hide the fact that she was from Anathema, but she wouldn't toss it around.

Night's trained eyes watched every movement that the little one in front of him made and he saw if only for a second, her hackles raise and she looked like she might run. He immediately stopped now that he was in view and lowered himself and laid down folding his front legs in front of himself. He nodded lightly and his tail slowly swayed from side to side and he worked on easing her mind at his presence. He sometimes forgot that he could look intimidating thanks to his father being the large beast he was.

"I'm new to this area and without a pack. My father sent me into the wild as it were and I was in the area paying my respects to the spirits and old pack lands of New Dawn. I met a Wolf who was a pup when the pack was disbanded and he told me what he could but I would like to know more. " He stopped for a second giving her time to process and then in a nice, kind and gentle tone he continued.

"If you have any info on New Dawn, maybe on why they were disbanded or how. Anything at all, I would be in your debt. I plan on visiting Anathema, CDC, basically every pack while I am on my Quest." He remained where he was and said nothing more just letting his tail move lightly and then he thought about it and added one little thing. "If you need to leave for any reason, I'll understand and I won't keep you."

Avinalora's eyes widened as she heard that Night was looking for information regarding New Dawn She didn't want to rain on his parade, but she couldn't risk him hearing the wrong story from someone else. If he did, then Anathema might be screwed. She just hoped that the guy would be nice and give her a few seconds head start.

"Well, before I tell you. Promise me that you'll give me a head start before going berserk or something." The fox maiden said, looking into the eyes of the loner. That was all she could ask for. She knew that the bigger the person, the slower they were and he also had some other stuff weighing him down. She could have a chance of survival.

The winter wraith didn't wait for him to say yes. It was her duty to tell him what had happened from Anathema's side of the story. She took a deep breath, recalling everything that Nyx had told her about the attack on New Dawn before she started. She watched his face as she spoke, waiting for the slightest change in expression that would signal her to run.

"Well, there were these three people called Kentaro, Pride Tormenta, and Kohaku Amarok." The silver vixen said, naming the three perpetrators. She spat their names like venom, they were to her. They were selfish and dirtied Anathema for no good reason. She had never met them, but if she did, she just might punch them.

"Pride went to New Dawn on a diplomacy trip but she faked being held hostage. Nobody knew that she was held captive other than Kentaro, the leader and Kohaku who used the opportunity to take out his mother, the leader of New Dawn." The silver lady made sure to tell the wolf why the three idiots had decided to attack New Dawn. They were stupid reasons in her mind. Some leaders they were. They put their pack in danger and now the pack was now dark in many people's eyes.

"Anathema was manipulated into raiding and disbanding New Dawn just because of some bitch and a pair of idiots." The moon-washed medic finished, her gaze hard and her words laced with anger. And then she finished her statement with an angry lash of her foxlike tail.

"And now everyone hates Anathema because they were manipulated into attacking the pack." The monochrome fox finished and then her demeanor changed from pissed to scared as she was poised to run from the man if he decided to take out his anger on her.

OOC: The language is fine. lol

She was quick, not just in her stature and physical appearance since she was smaller in size. But she was fast in speech. He had moved his jaw to say that he would of course not attack but he was cut off and he was forced to just listen to her tale. He smirked a little as she went off into her tale about the fall of New Dawn. He kept his smirk unable not to since she was so sure he would be attacking after hearing the news he did and patiently he listened. He nodded his head at some topics, gave a little huff of disapproval at hearing about the reasons why it all happened.

His face however never lost it's kind look. He was taking it all in very calmly and without any anger at all. For why would he have anger in the first place? It was not his pack nor was it his fathers anymore. There may have been fighting and it would have been horrible to have to live through but he did not. It was not his place to judge something that happened in the past no matter what it was. For if a person was judged for their past, they could never move forward.

He heard her stop and he looked to her face and he smiled and shook his head lightly. He guessed the pack called Anathema was her's from how she acted and what she said in the beginning before she started. It was his hunch that made him start by easing her worried mind. "First off, I would like to thank you kindly for telling me all of that. I'm not too surprised things didn't end well based on the stories my father use to tell me about both packs. That being said. I don't hate Anathema and a couple bad members of a pack doesn't make up the whole pack. I'm sure there is good and bad in all the packs...you just hope there is more good than the later."

He stopped for a second. Thought about what he was going to say and then he continued." I'm assuming your part of Anathema? If thats true I would love to hear about it if you have time. If I have assumed wrong then I am sorry. And yeah, to make sure you understand, I can't hate something I know nothing about because of a story. That wouldn't be fare of me not to give it a chance and see it for myself. Thank you again." He smiled big and nodded his head to her and waited to see if she was going to open up to him at all.

He had to admit, so far he was liking this area and could see why his father came here and why he made the friends and loved ones he did.

Avinalora was surprised when Night didn't attack her. She expected it from any former member of New Dawn since they had a hell of a lot to be mad about. She knew that everyone was wrong about how Anathema was a bad pack, but she expected ex-New Dawners to be angry about the disbandment. Attacking her was the appropriate response in her book.

But, instead the wolf replied in a polite tone, thanking the fox maiden for sharing the story and telling her that he didn't hate Anathemans after this. A surprised look crossed her face and she sat back down. He was polite, and smelled young. His father had taught him manners, it looked like. But she still couldn't figure out why he wasn't mad at anyone. She blamed Casa di Cavalieri for the downfall of Midnight Shores. It would be a normal reaction, blame and anger. But this guy was as cool as ice.

"If only maybe half of the people in 'Souls thought that way, I probably wouldn't have been attacked so much." The winter wraith said. She had already been attacked by a New Dawn sympathizer among other things. She didn't know why people just couldn't let things go. It had happened many moons ago and some people acted like it was just yesterday.

"And I don't know exactly how much I can tell you about Anathema since I'm still a bit new." The monochrome fox added, answering another of his questions.

He saw her surprise and it surprised him as well but also it saddened him as well. Were the other wolves and canines around really so violent? He was sifting through his thoughts for only a moment before he heard the thing that made all the sense in the world. (<b>"If only maybe half of the people in 'Souls thought that way, I probably wouldn't have been attacked so much."</b>)His ears perked and his eyes went to hers and he looked deep and he was not happy.

His fur raised a little and he spoke still cool as ice but with a flame within. "I Hate those who would hate without reason. A real reason. My father taught me kindness and he taught me that I needed to be my own person and that no matter what family you choose...Never...let them change who you are. You are you, stay you and believe in your own strength." He stopped for a second and took a breath closing his eyes and all the anger and annoyance vanished like it was never there.

He looked back to her and started again."I'm not New Dawn, I'm not my father. I am me and I belong to no pack, not yet. I am sorry you had to deal with small minded dogs...I believe in kindness first and respect. There is no use in hating someone who is different than you because if we all do that...We might as well all kill each other right now. We are all canine, we should be one large pack, not pieces of a broken mirror forever looking are our reflection able to change a thing."

He looked down and in a quick, smooth motion he shifted to his lupus form, growing smaller and he smiled at her. "I was taught to match the form of the stranger I have the honor of talking to and to be kind, respectful and truthful. I am Night, son of Shadow and I would be your friend if you would have it. I can promise you now. If you are near me. I do everything in my power to protect my friends and family and I would love to hear about your home. In fact, I would love to see it if you're okay with showing me."

Avinalora didn't know why Night went all inspirational on her. She didn't know exactly how old the wolf was, but he probably hadn't been through as much as she had. She had changed in a short amount of time. One day, he would learn that sometimes, karma missed its target and hit the wrong person. Or one of the gods decide that they were displeased with someone, no matter how petty it was, and rain hell on that person. The vixen had gone through that, and she knew that everyone did.

And then the man said he wasn't New Dawn. Well, that was a surprise. And he apologized for the attacks. Like he could have done something. And then then he did another speech that the fox maiden only saw some wisdom in. But, some of it didn't make sense. The mirror part was confusing. The waif didn't know if she wanted to be in one big pack with everyone. Too many people.

And then the loner shifted into Lupus form quite quickly. The moon-washed medic was a bit confused by this action. And then he said that he wanted to match her form. He had no idea what a jackal looked like it seemed. And then he talked about how honorable it was. What a boy scout he was. He introduced himself again and asked to be her friend and acted as though they were best buds now. This guy was weird. And then he asked to see her home.

"First of all, I am in my Secui form." The pale physician said once the kid had finished his speech. She wasn't going to shift down to Lupus even though it was apparently honorable to do so. She wasn't going to let herself freeze to death just for honoring forms. Lupus form would have to wait until spring, whenever that was.

"Seeing my home as in coming to Anathema?" The silver lady asked with a quirked eyebrow. She didn't know if she was authorized to do that. The kid seemed nice, but who knew? She didn't know if he wanted to join or was just curious. And if he was curious, he probably didn't know that curiosity often kills the cat.

"And kid, you obviously haven't been alive for very long, have you?" The monochrome fox said, asking one of her questions. He was either really young or simply had a sunshine and daisy life without any sort of turmoil or trauma.

OOC: Ah sorry. I forgot she was in Secui...Darn oh well I'll take it as it is.

"I'll deal with problems as they arrive. I'm going to visit every pack there is in this land and see what they offer and how they function everything." He sat there and looked her over. And he had messed up. He shifted to more closely match her and because she was smaller than him he mistook her form for Lupus. Oh well, mistakes are made and he knew what to look for now.

He got her question about how old he was or more like that she thought he was young and he gave a genuine smile."Yep! I'm a year old, I've been training with my father since I could walk and now that I'm a year old my dad has given me his blessing to go out and discover life. We live far south of this place and so my trip was a long one."

He looked around and sniffed the air and scanned the area and then went back to looking towards her. "I'm sorry if I'm odd. You are the second wolf I've seen and I'm not going to lie. It's nice to meet others. My trip like I said was long and I was alone the whole time. Either way, even if I never see you again I'm glad I got to meet you. You helped me and I thank you." His tail very slowly danced behind him. Yeah he was young and all he knew was his training and fighting and his father's teachings but he was here to meet others and make his own way.
