Nico tried to placate her. He was trying, she had to give him that, but she was hardly in a mood to be terribly happy. Daily, she would argue with herself about why she chose to follow these boys to the north, a place she had left the year prior. Part of her wasn't sure why they went up this way, but the way they spoke of it suggested to her their connection was far stronger to it.

She would have suggested they head south down the coast rather than north up it. The south appealed to her desire for more constant warmth, but she also knew she did not want to roam alone with just Nico for company the rest of her life. If they wanted to go north, she would go with them for the sake of the company and friendship that was budding between them. Plus, they were fun boys for all that they had no eyes for her. It honestly just made it easier for her, since she could only handle one idiot's jealous glances.

Still, it was hard to deny the fact that her trade was so poor in Nova Scotia. Or perhaps she had forgotten what it was like to be there that her skills were more keyed to Portland, despite it being only barely better in terms of population. A larger port city compared to a dingy village of a town was like comparing the watermelon to a grape. Both tasted good, but one got more bang for their buck from one versus the other.

No one was biting and she was not trying terribly hard. Instead, Adrianna sat alone with a mild attempt at displaying herself well at the bar. She leaned forward with her arms crossed beneath her chest. Her leg was crossed, the slit up her thigh meant half the fabric draped over the chair rather than her flesh, exposing a curve. Clothes were, theoretically, pointless, but they were all part of the drama, the act. It was like jewelry showing wealth. Sort of.

Instead of anyone biting, though, Adrianna spent a sulky half hour mixing the same cup of wine with a nail, watching the murky liquid swirl. God, where are all the alcoholics from Sapient, she wondered aimlessly, knowing they'd have bitten if they had imbibed. Probably.

The fire I began, is burning me alive
But I'm no stranger to the heartache and the pain

OOC: +400 words.

Hibiki couldn't help but spend a fair amount of his time back home, now that he had much more of a reason to. His outing to gather more materials for his craft had yielded him with a greater catch than he could have ever imagined, someone he dearly cared about from his old home. It was up to him to make sure that she would be settling in alright. It wasn't that he had any doubts in the warrior woman, but rather to help her in getting adjusted to the new territory and the Court's views, as well as their own laws.

Even so, life had to return back to some form of normality, it just happened that he could have a much more brighter outlook on his life.

The dark male had gathered up his bag, having already dropped off the items from the first time he had gone out at the small workshop, but it wouldn't hurt to add some more to this collection. He had fortune with his task in Amherst, so he saw no other fitting place to go back to and look. Besides, it wasn't like the metal had to be in the best condition either. There were thing he could do with those pieces.

Pressing out into the snow covered land, his light blue gaze peered to the mountain range nearby. He knew the mountains, having passed by them many times to make his way south when he was still learning from Grynn. There was the possibility of heading over to the other side, searching that area. As far as he knew, there weren't many left living over there, and would make a prime place to gather the raw materials he needed.

Pausing along the street, his head turned in the direction of the bar. Of course, he had since given up the idea of drinking, though it would be a nice place to rest after the long walk he had taken to get here... plus it was probably warmer in there than it would be outside. Some warmth would help his shorter fur to handle the search anyways. Having made up his mind, the male pushed open the door, slipping inside. There were others gathered here, though one seemed to stick out more than the others. It was a woman sitting by herself. It was her statement he had heard as he came closer that made him more curious. Taking a seat a couple down from her, he offered her a small smile, "Gone, thank goodness. I'd say the drinking was getting too far out of hand, though many of Sapient's members have moved on to other nearby places."

A man interrupted her thoughts and musing. She turned sharply in her seat toward him, trying to figure out who on earth would have such a terrible opinion. She looked at him and did not for the life of her recognize him, but based on his comments, he had to have been a part of Sapient at one point or another to have that opinion and that sort of information. Adrianna stared at him for a moment, still rather put out by the severe lack of clientele that she did not even try to consider him as a potential john.

Out of hand? How was it getting out of hand? she snapped at him, though she knew she had no advantage there. Adrianna had not been there for the parties that had gone south, that had ended in disaster. Even if she had been there, it was nothing to the debauchery that went down in the darker parties of the Lumen Romani.

She had been sent back to the University in Portland to do who knew what, her presence no longer appropriate in a pack she was clearly not helping very much with her uselessness. Nico had been the useful one and he had gone with her, because he still refused to let her go in any capacity. They had only learned of the disbandment there, after they had already left the pack's hold and tried to make it on their own.

Do you know how useful that much alcohol can be to a girl like me? I can't work with these sad ducks in here, all wallowing, she said, her words coming in an accented blur as she gestured to the nearly empty bar. It was the wrong time of day, wrong season, clearly, because she found no luck in her work that day. She was impatient and had very much liked the reputation she had been building in Portland before she hightailed it out of there with the rest of the Troupe.

Adrianna waved her hand - the one that had been in the wine cup moments prior- and waved it energetically as she spoke. It likely shot drops all about her, but she did not care. Animated Italian and everything. Honestly, how is a girl supposed to make a living out here? she asked, mostly rhetorically, but somewhat seriously despite that.
