Alright. Alright! She's on the road again. Lots of new people to meet, but now she was done, she was going back to Sapient. She couldn't be gone for too long... who knows what else might have happened in her absence? She traveled to Halifax to get the murder and other secretive goings-on out of her mind, but she couldn't shake it permanently. As long as the mystery was unsolved and the perpetrator was still at large, the pack wouldn't rest easy.

She straightened her flannel and her small backpack filled with goods and began to walk once again, the ground slightly damp beneath her feet. It had rained a little bit, and Brandy, averse to the cold wet feeling it would bring, had rested in a small abandoned shelter. More of a skeleton of what might have been a building once, but it did the job of keeping her dry enough.

She took out a stick of jerky from her bag as she walked, casually ripping a chunk of it off with her teeth and chewing thoughtfully. She'd learned to eat a little bit slower when she didn't have a lot of food, to savor the flavors, although sometimes her appetite still got away from her... like now. She ripped another bite.

Lee decided that the weather was gross.

She had been born in the heart of winter and held dear memories of snowfall and bedtime stories beside a cozy hearth, and later of spring with its curiosities of blooming flowers and greenery -- but this was her first autumn, and once the pretty leaves lost their novelty and the rain decided to keep being rain despite the dropping temperatures, she got fed up. Like her father, she slowed down when the days got shorter, and pasttimes she adored became arduous.

Mud was fun, but cold mud was awful. Frost lost its sparkle when it melted under the sun. Even the ocean was too chilly most days for her to play in the shallows.

Today the young wolfdog roamed -- or ran, to keep the blood going. Her ponytail streamed behind her as she jogged through the trees and leaped over debris, from logs to car bodies sunk into the earth. Her breath puffed from gaping jaws, the air crisp in her lungs. It was a little more tolerable running around with all the energy an adolescent could muster.

She shut her mouth suddenly, and began to sniff instead. Was that food?

Galilee grinned and sprinted the remaining distance until she spotted a Luperci ahead. Hey! she hollered, and bouncing on her toes waved.

She hummed as the flavor sank into her mouth; drying meat wasn't new to her, but the herbs and salts that added entirely new worlds of flavor still was. She wasn't quite used to it yet, how delicious something could be with things that didn't taste good on their own (or in the case of herbs, didn't really taste like anything until combined with something else). She was happy to hunt and contribute to the kitchen if it meant she could use such things.

After ripping another bite out of the jerky, her ears perked up. She turned towards the sound that had suddenly assaulted her senses - a rhythmic thumping of excited feet on the ground - to reveal another Luperci some distance away. She was light blonde, hair tied up into a ponytail, and she was tall, too. Still, Brandy could tell that she was young, and her bounciness was palpable. Brandy ambled over, a slow grin overtaking her despite her mouth still full of food.

"Ey!" she said, taking a moment to swallow down the jerky. She struck a confident pose, one hand on her cocked-out hip and the other still holding some jerky, her tail slowly waving behind her. "What's up? Goin' on a run?" she asked.

"Y'want some?" She held out a piece of jerky for the other girl to take.
