A massive shape padded through the Dampwoods. He almost seemed like a bear with his rounded ears, bobbed tail, and broad build. His build was only exaggerated by his thick fur that came from his dog heritage. His face was wolf-like though his snout was a bit broader than a normal wolf. His legs were a bit longer than normal due to his sighthound heritage. His paws were large and they crunched the sticks and leaves.

His fur was a canvas of tan hues that dulled in certain areas. Splattered on the canvas was a saddle made up of brown splattered hues. They started lighter and then seemed to darken. The cape stopped right after his ears. His face was also colored with dark brown hues. The brown hues also covered his paws and went a bit up. There was also an off-white hue gracing his pelt. It painted a white spot on his chest, it tipped his tail, and stuck his shoulder. He had red eyes.

Iorek sniffed the ground, trying to find any sort of prey. He hoped for something like deer, though he didn't hunt so well. His mother tried to teach him, though it was hard for her to teach him how to hunt when he was so large and she was so small. He knew the basics, though a lot of prey proved to be too fast for him. The beast did have stamina, though.

The bear-dog was lucky that the cats decided not to come with him, saying that they would see if they could hunt for themselves in this new area. And maybe he would have to eat something that they'd caught or go for fish or a carcass. He wasn't very sure if he could successfully hunt something. The yearling was young and didn't have that much experience, though. He just hoped that he could at least catch something.

The brown-hued behemoth wasn't watching where he was going. He ran into yet another tree with his head down. He fell away from the tree and looked up. Sorry! He said, apologizing to the inanimate object. It was just something he did.

The bright, blue sky was obscured by light clouds, which were in turn obscured by thick trees. Asuilaak traversed the humid, damp wood on foot, with Shtiya trailing behind him. They had already exercised their horses that morning and chose to leave the animals to wander around the Fort; it was nice to be able to give them a break. The animals deserved to rest and relax in a safe, comfortable place with the rest of Casa's herd.

Asuilaak fidgeted absently with the ring in his pocket; the ring that was still in his pocket, despite several days passing since he'd found it. Sighing softly, he scanned the surrounding trees for anything of interest; at first glance, there was nothing. Then, there was a large, lumbering shape visible through the pines. Asuilaak froze and placed a hand on his sword; this caught Shtiya's attention and led her to follow his gaze. They're half-shifted Asuilaak, relax, she said immediately in their native tongue, placing her pale hand on his shoulder. His shoulders dropped reflexively, tension draining from his lean form. Just another Luperci; they could deal with that.

Just another Luperci who, for a lack of watching where he was going, smacked into a tree. Well, that was different.

Shtiya's hand came up to cover her mouth as her face contorted slightly, trying not to laugh. Asuilaak stared, wide-eyed, as the male said something inaudible; they were close enough to see him, but too far to hear him. "Uh... Are you all right?" Asuilaak called out, confusion and curiosity overruling his quiet nature. It always sucked to walk into things, no matter how big you were.

What's that saying? The bigger you are, the harder you fall? He considered these words as he waited for the brown-hued behemoth to respond.

Iorek is so clueless, lol

Iorek almost jumped three feet in the air when he heard someone's voice. He scrambled to his feet and turned to see a pair of canines, a male and female. Their coats were bright shades of brown and orange hues. His red eyes wandered to the things they wore over their bodies. The beast cowered, just processing that the man asked if he was alright. He did have a bit of a surprised look on his face that changed into a somewhat confused look, though he kept his head low.

The brown behemoth remembered that the stranger asked him a question. His mother always told him that it was polite to answer questions. He sniffed them, trying to think of an answer as his mind was a bit scrambled since he was faced with people that were a bit strange with their coverings. The male was a dog and was smaller than the female. He also had weird things in his ears and the wolfdog noticed the strange object at his side. The female was tall and smelled mostly like a dog with some wolf.

I-m...o-okay The beardog stammered.

For all intents and purposes, even on closer inspection, the half-shifted male looked like a long-legged bear. Asuilaak's initial wariness had been warranted, if only on appearances. Yet, in reality, the man before didn't seem like a threat at all. The pair watched as the behemoth of a wolf dog startled at Asuilaak's words; yep, definitely not a threat. Still, Shtiya spent a moment to size up the stranger. He was tall and looked strong; Asuilaak could practically see the spark that lit the flame of her mind.

The look of confusion on the stranger's face quickly turned to one of contemplation. The brown-hued male seemed to mull over the question, as if it was something complex. Then again, if Asuilaak had smacked into a tree, he was sure he'd need a moment, too. Thankfully, the bear dog quickly recovered and answered. He was okay.

Shtiya took this as an opportunity to ask a question of her own, "Are you new to the area?" She smiled warmly at the half-shifted man, gestured to her best friend, and then introduced them, "This is Asuilaak and I'm Shtiya; we are proud members of Casa Di Cavalieri." Asuilaak raised an eyebrow at her, but remained silent. She stood tall, but her posture was relaxed. Her body language was open, warm, and inviting.

Well, Asuilaak thought, it's worth a shot.
