Specialization: Prophetes
Description: This member is able to tell the future using various ancient methods, such as looking at the stars, reading tea leaves, tarot cards, and shells/stones.

Lithia had expected to feel so much more important now that she had a slave, but she felt the same. He did wait on her, hand and foot, and do whatever she wanted, but still. She still wasn’t complete. She hadn’t had everything she wanted. They were still at large, and she hadn’t yet derived a plan to ‘capture’ them. Then again, could the Angelo truly be ‘captured’? Maybe luring him in would be most beneficial. Maybe the cards would be able to tell her which was the best method…

After reading the book that Leticia had given her about Tarot and practice, lots and lots of practice, she had picked up on the cards’ meanings and a few new spreads. Today, Lithia had stationed herself in the Grand Hall, at one of the long, wooden tables. She was arranging a ‘decision-making’ spread currently, trying to figure out which would be the best decision for hooking and reeling love of one person in particular, the one she had eyes for since childhood: Kentaro. The decision-making spread consisted of 3 cards, like the traditional Past, Present and Future one she had learned from Leticia as a started, but had one more on top. The top card represented the status of the decision to be made, the bottom, left card represented positive attributes of the situation, the bottom, middle, represented considerations that needed to be addressed, and the bottom, right represented negative attributes to the situation. Was this even right for her to do? She knew Amorette would have a bitch fit if she found out. She was way too possessive of him, and Lithia didn't like that because it gave her almost no opportunities to flirt or even socialize with the leader.

Her spread had been set up and she held the cards in one hand, and carefully picked from the pile, leaving the cards face up in the places. The Hierophant card sat in the top position, the present status of the situation, while Justice (reversed), 7 of Swords, and Ace of Wands (reversed) sat in that order underneath the first. Lithia paused to configure what the cards could mean, and most importantly, to figure out what she would do in her situation. Pursue it or let it be for now?

The hierophant represented contentedness in the current situation - meaning that she shouldn’t change anything drastically when she was so balanced. The second card, the reversed Justice card, normally represents difficulties, more like consequences to someone’s actions; however, when using it in the context of love, it means that the bearer is not yet ready for the commitment. Lithia contemplated this, even though, yet again, it was bad news. She supposed this card represented her desire to stay independent, and perhaps maybe she should for the time being. The third card, the 7 of Swords, seemed to portray that she may meet someone, but come off as uninterested. This card told her to aim for balance, and Lithia questioned it momentarily. Was she not balanced already? Finally, looking at the fourth card, the last card, and also the one that represented the negative attributes of the situation, Lithia laid her eyes upon the reversed Ace of Wands. Strangely, the reversed Ace of Wands represented the beginning of a new love relationship and also the birth of a litter. Lithia looked up from the cards to glare at the wooden table before her. How was this negative exactly? The only good card that she got and it fell into the negative representation spot.

SKANA CREO

Skana’s trot eased down into a walk as the silvery she-wolf came upon the castle. The morning had been an arduous one, what with the snow being so unreasonably soft for such a time of year. It hadn’t made patrolling the boundaries easy, as places that were once hard, packed snow had started to give way. She had found herself sinking into the deep drifts a few times, and, at others, only just missing her leg giving out on her as the snow broke from its home location for the winter.

Nothing had wandered close to Anathema, thankfully. She didn’t need to be seen a fool in front of a stranger. Her patrol had been otherwise uneventful. The winter residence had carried on their merry way, puffy birds singing despite the cold, she had seen a few deer and other fauna tracks throughout her travels. She hadn’t felt hungry enough for hunting though, having already eaten earlier that morning. And, there was no point in taking something home. It was too early for a dinner meal. Skana rarely stuck around to see if there was much to be had in the kitchen between the first and last meal of the day. Vepar had taught her to be sufficient with only two meals per day during their travels to Nova Scotia. Snacks in between were only granted to garner more energy if only necessary.

The Zepar adjusted the strap of her satchel that crossed diagonally across her body, from her left shoulder to her right side. She had found a few useless trinkets in all of her fumbling in the snow. Medicinal stuff, and an old knife she thought her brother could make use of. He seemed to like using bladed weapons now, so it seemed like a proper gift for her older sibling. He had helped her out so much with allowing himself to be dragged out on searches for medical herbs.

Skana had every intention to clean the thing up as she crossed through the open, large entrance door to the Grand Hall. As the she-wolf drew inside though, her eyes instantly caught a dark figure present within the great open area. She paused just a few steps within the hall, assessing who might it be. Lithia, she recognized upon seeing the grey-ticked colors on a black canvas. It was one of the daughters of Axelle and Itzal.

The younger Anatheman sat at one of the wooden tables that had remained within the hall and seemed to be in deep thought over whatever was spread out before her. A moment of humor murmured in the silvery she-wolf brain. What’s it with me and finding people with stuff out on tables? Curious as to what the young Dasa was concentrating on, Skana quietly crossed the vast space that lied between them. A deck of cards was grasped within one of the girl’s hands, and four of their kin placed in specific places upon the table. Strange.

The Napier had suddenly turned to glaring at the space above the set cards, to which caused a low chuckle to rupture from Skana. “Careful, you might burn the table with a look like that.” It was meant to announce her presence, as well as to perhaps get the younger hybrid to possibly explain why she looked like she was about to murder the wood. Skana gave a nonchalant nod to the cards that Lithia had placed out before herself. “What’d they do?”

It wasn’t long before she was joined by company. Lithia picked up on the soft sounds of paw pads against the stone, but continued to glare at the table anyway, lost in thought. She tried to figure this omen one way or another – was there any way that she could spin it into something good? There was a good card in a bad spot, and all the other cards pointed bad things, while this good card represented something bad. Maybe she were to have a litter by Kentaro, but they were all destined to die. Should she even go through the trouble? Every card she put down on the table pushed her away from him. She shouldn’t have even been thinking of him. He had mates; many of them. He didn’t have room for her.

But who was she kidding? She would get what she wanted, one way or another.

The voice broke her thoughts and Lithia looked up at her, questioning her with a look at first, but softening as the comment registered. ”Maybe,” she stated, smirking. She collected the cards from the table and began shuffling them so that the other woman could not read her business, should she know anything about tarot. ”Bad omens. Apparently it’s not a good time for me to do anything optimistic,” she sighed, splitting the cards and shuffling the two halves together. ”But you, maybe. Care to find out?” she asked, giving Skana an inviting look. She was eager to get off the topic of what she had been seeking fortune for. She would not discuss her need for Kentaro with this woman, or any woman for that matter.

She continued shuffling the cards, more so that they were good and shuffled now for the best reading. ”What do you want to know about? Fortune? Love? Health? Luck?” she said, stacking the cards up and setting them to the side of her in a neat pile. Now her full attention had been on Skana, awaiting to hear the woman’s questions, as well as what she wanted to know.

(300+) Of course not! Thank you for joining! :D

SKANA CREO

It wasn’t long before the darkly furred Dasa acknowledged her and gave a similar, playful reply. The young Napier’s smirk was contagious, and Skana soon found herself wearing one as well. With a flick of her wrist, Lithia had gathered up the cards and had begun to shuffle them. Skana cocked her head slightly to one side as she watched, quiet envy resonating from the Napier’s ability to nimbly mix the cards up, allowing them to layer from one pile to the other with just a slight bend. Had they been in the Zepar’s hands, they would have surely ended up on the floor, or, at the very least, separate into chunks rather than interlacing with single cards.

“Oh?” Skana sounded, curious as to what the other meant. Was she still speaking about the cards? Or did she just have a bad draw at a single-player game? Remembering the odd designs on the plastic-coated pieces though, doubt was placed in the Zepar’s mind. The cards hadn’t looked like regular playing cards… “Surely you can make your own luck?” the silvery female tried, not entirely sure how to help the disgruntled Dasa. When Lithia split the deck once more to shuffle them, Skana’s icy blue eyes turned on the cards, curious as to what they were now.

A questioning look was offered in return to the magenta-eyed woman. Perhaps,” she answered ambiguously to the card-dealer’s question. She had never seen or had experience with the strange cards Lithia held within her grasp. “What are they?” she nodded to the cards, almost sceptical now judging on the Napier’s previous run with them that left her glaring. After a few seconds, Skana quickly added, “And how do they work?” It had become clearer to her that Lithia had read something from the cards, and that it wasn’t some simple card game like she had previously thought.

Curious now, and perhaps wanting to humor the Dasa on some level, Skana slipped into the seat across from the darkly furred female. Her hands were placed diplomatically on the table as if preparing to engage in a business deal with the packmate. The silver she-wolf thought for a moment, trying to consider what she wanted to “know about.” Nothing particular came to mind. She had nothing to really gain from either category that was suggested. The more she contemplated though, the more she became curious about the possibilities that there could be.

“Fortune,” she answered boldly. What personal wealth did she have to gain? She always wanted to be a medic, a healer. Would she be good at it though? Like it? Prosper in that field? Or, was she better off following in her brother’s footsteps and becoming a fighter?

Fortune Spread

Lithia distracted herself from the troubling news by shuffling the cards over and over again. At last, however, she finally set them aside and focused on Skana, and she had to admit, the woman was thoughtful. She asked whether Lithia could make her own luck, and Lithia shook her head slowly, ”It doesn’t work that way.” Though, she was glad that Skana didn’t dwell on the subject for long. She asked other things, about her cards, for instance, but also how they worked. Skana was inquisitive about this thing that she didn’t understand, and Lithia respected that. ”They’re Tarot cards, and they will determine whatever aspect you choose to focus on. I don’t have the answers and you don’t have the answers. The cards have the answers.”

Lithia fell silent for a moment when Skana was deciding, but once her choice was made, the Napier daughter picked up the deck and began placing the cards on the table in a specific layout and order. In total, there were five cards, and at first, it seemed she had mixed the order of some of them. She switched two of them around so that two sat on either side of one in the middle. Lithia drew a card for each place, and once she was done, she took a deep breath and looked up to Skana, ”Take a deep breath. Are you ready?”

SKANA CREO

Skana uttered an “Ah,” in acceptance as Lithia shot down her suggestion. There seemed to be a bit of a misunderstanding—or perhaps difference in opinion—between the two about their idea of luck and whatnot. The darkly-furred Napier seemed set on her…strange cards for the answer. Skana, however, couldn’t quite grasp the belief in the plastic-coated pieces like she possibly should have. The siblings had survived a year on their own because they made their own luck, charted their own course. So, it was strange for Skana to hear Lithia explain that the fate of the cards could not be so easily changed or discarded.

The Seere went on to explain the uniqueness of the cards she held in her hands. “I see,” Skana murmured with interest. There was some doubt in the back of her mind though about these Tarot cards. Logic told her it was all fake. It was simply a luck of the draw, her fortune would be whatever cards Lithia happened to draw from her shuffled deck. They couldn’t possibly hold any true ground, or meaning, to anyone.

She watched as Lithia drew five cards from the deck and placed them in specific places on the wooden table before them. An invisible brow quirked at this, curious as to what she was doing now. It was a different setup than what she had seen Lithia glaring at before. There were four cards in Lithia’s spread of cards. There was a pause when the younger woman finished, a breath, and then her fuchsia gaze turned to Skana once more. At the question, the silver Creo nodded, “Yes.” She gaze down at the cards before them.

The first card had a star, but the card looked upside-down. The second card held a sword. The third had four goblets. The fourth showed what looked to be four sticks, and the last card had seven sticks. Not understanding the meaning of any of it, Skana returned her attention to Lithia for an explanation.

Once she got her formation down, Lithia was able to truly pick cards for Skana in the right mindset. She placed five cards down on the table before them, each showing a different symbol, one reversed. Lithia’s pink eyes rested on Skana for a moment, before looking down at the cards before her. ”Well…” she said, beginning to think about the cards before her and what they could mean for Skana.

The first card, the reversed Ace of Pentacles and the significator. This card was to represent Skana and her current being, her current “fortune”. ”The Reversed Ace of Pentacles. This card represents money, but also worry because it is upside-down. This may suggest that you are worrying too much about materialistic things - what you have, what you don’t have, what you want… Maybe you need to focus mored on other things,” she began, pointing to the reversed card.

Moving on, she placed her dappled finger on the second card, the obstacle: the Queen of Swords. ”This card represents an obstacle in your path. It suggests hat a strong woman will come into your life sometime soon. She will play an important role in your fortune, and there will be a lot you can learn from her, if you choose to listen.” So far, a warning not to worry too much about fortune, and then a guide said to show up soon. Lithia thought for a moment that, so far, it looked positive for Skana’s fortune in the future.

The third card, the positive influence, was the Four of Cups. Pointing her finger to that card, Lithia continued, ”This card, your positive influence, the Four of Cups, suggests that you not worry about what you can’t have, don’t have, or what’s not reachable for you yet. It suggests that you think about what you want to acquire in the near future and how attainable that is.”

The fourth card, the Four of Wands, was Skana’s true fortune-telling card. This card told her the future, in a sense. It told her what to expect in the near future. ”The Four of Wands is your Future card. This card says with your hard work, you will come into some items of value. You wont just get these by luck - you have to work for them,” Lithia said, leaning back. There was one card left, the card that would tell Skana her longterm results.

”Last, but definitely not least, we have the Seven of Wands,” Lithia said, pointing to the card in the middle. ”The Seven of Wands represents your longterm results with materialistic goals, such as fortune and fruitful trade. This card says that even though you may face some obstacles, you will come out on top. Things are looking up for you, and they will continue to if you just think smart.” Lithia leaned back slightly, and folded her arms on the wooden table. She looked down at the cards and then up at Skana, expecting questions or concerns with the cards. The woman seemed a skeptic at first, and Lithia was prepared to back up her tarot cards.

(500+) I literally just usually pick random ones. It’s fun that way xD Gives me plot ideas sometimes! Sorry for the wait too!
