Secui -> Optime

Honored Elder. The words stuck in her mind, resounding around the inside of her skull. A fanfare of insult and despicable helplessness all rolled up into one ugly package. There was bitterness on her tongue that made her want to spit out the foul saliva but it would not leave no matter how many strands of spit she lavished upon the spring foliage.

The secui's shoulders rolled underneath her thick silvering mane as she walked, the once graceful stride ruined by a single leg that refused to work as it should and the old woman limped on three good legs along the soft sands. The wash of the ocean was a peaceful sound for aged ears and the quiescent lack of voices blathering at her, telling her she was too old. What next? That she was too old to go for a walk by herself?

They did not understand, that this was to be the way of it. It was the way. They saw what they wanted to see and did not keep her in their thoughts, not truly. Any who knew her would know she would never be content to languish around and be a burden to her family.

The massive striped cat joined her at a point in her walk along Whisper Beach. The silent stalker bumping his great head against hers, which she gladly returned. The silence stretched onward between them but they did not need to talk for they were two creatures the same; both ferocious and wild beasts of the forest.

Tiger and Wolf walked side by side for a hopeful unending stretch of time.

All must come to an end though, and in time they turned as a well familiar pair back towards the place that was home now. For Jace, Ovidiu was an integral part to herself as Temo was, the shadow that followed and walked by her side. From Cercatori to Midnight Shores and now to this new place that they must call home.

The twins were somewhere nearby, she could hear them talking in low tones but the woman preoccupied herself with shifting to her upright form, grasping her staff for balance as soon as her paws could fold into hands. She settled onto the stump that was her seat and he came and rested his large head on her lap, reminiscent of old times and huffed out a long sigh. Both were aging, although Jace much more visibly in the fur that was rapidly turning grey.

The old woman began to croon to her long time friend, a song of old Svinka that she had sung for them when Dalgina had been young and Jace's second litter had been heavy in her belly.

Aldora Knight

I loved your table so much I had to make my own. || +4

The flowers were gone, wilted away, and with them, her sorrow. Of course, there would always be sadness there, when it came to her mother, and regret, as death always brought. But her memories of Veyra were good and warm and that was what mattered the most; Aldora had been blessed to have such a wonderful mother. Now she too ran with their ancestors among the stars, never to feel pain or worry ever again; she was free, and that was the greatest comfort to her daughter.

Now Aldora could focus again, and her aspirations of greatness had returned. She wanted to make Casa a better place, a safer place, a more prosperous pack for all of them. But all grandiose plans had humble beginnings, and only plants with strong roots could flourish, and so, today Aldora was bringing a gift to one of Casa’s more cherished members, Jace.

The old wolfess had been given a title of honor, a new one among the Cavalieris, to denote both her wisdom and her age. It was not often that a wolf got into advanced years such as she had, and it was noteworthy that she had recently had a puppy, even though she technically could be its great, great grandmother. Nayavota was a small little thing, not all right, and giving birth had obviously taken it out of the woman. But in a strong pack such as Casa, both had the opportunity and support to thrive.

She exited the Fort, her head held high and her long tresses elegantly braided. She wore a long, fringed leather skirt and nothing else, though one of her short bows was attached securely across her chest. In her hand she carried a basket, inside the gift she was to give Jace.

As she neared the woman’s family camp, she heard voices, and song, and the familiar scent of her feline friend. Once she came into the main circle of semi-permanent homes, she saw a sight that warmed her heart. Jace sat on a cut tree stump, Ovidiu’s massive head in her lap, and she was singing to him. Out of the cat came the most pleasurable low rumble; he loved Jace and all of her family dearly. Aldora was glad to see them now in a moment of peace, after all they had gone through.

She walked up to the pair, and Ovidiu opened one clear blue eye to look at her, and let out a chuff. Aldora knelt before them and set down the basket, Honored Elder, she said, I have something for you.

Besekel

ooc here

They were sitting together, enjoying the feeling of being whole once more after their chores. Despite their separation during particular moments in the day when their duties demanded it, Besekel felt at a loss when his twin wasn't around, his mirror image undoubtedly feeling the same. Because of the nature of their own dreams and passions, he should've seen the fact that they would have to spend time apart coming, ever since they were kids, but it still bothered him. Still, at times like these where they both could recoup and converse as usual, it somewhat made up for this. And now, they could tell each other things that happened in their day that the other didn't already know.

Bes himself was drinking from a waterskin with one hand, listening to his brother as he lightly petted one of Jace's rabbits that she kept in a tent they sat a little ways away from. The small soft creatures provided him something of a comfort, reminding him of his Rast. Regret began to bubble up, remembering how he had nothing to show for it, choosing to spare and present his prey live instead of crafting something from the rabbit he snared. He had the idea to possibly keep it as a pet, but by now, he had no idea if the poor thing lived or died.

He let his mind wander for a minute before snapping back, but it wasn't his twin's attention that had caught his. A little ways away, the scent of a creature he had never known before crept towards the two, and soon after he could hear the voice of who could be described as their godmother drifting on the wind. Was she... singing? They had to investigate now. "Uri, I wanna go see what she's doing." he said, asking in a way if he would accompany the cadet. Bes stood up to go return the rabbit to the others, tying his hooded jacket around his waist as he left the tent. A bent ear flicking in the direction of the song, he walked back up to Uri, tugging at his arm to get him to hurry up and follow him.

Urging his reflection on, the pale grey mix was shocked as they drew near the grizzled warrior's voice. The wolfdog was sitting on a stump, lulling this big thing that was resting it's head on her lap. The creature she held was so, bizarre, and alien to the grey mix. It had a big head and paws like a bear, but it's face and features resembled more of a mountain lion. And the markings, the markings were unlike anything he had seen. Strange, sharp stripes of black and... orange? It was a brighter coloring than a fox's pelt, and it was just... Beautiful. He was completely entranced by this beast.

With his curiosity and wonder drawing the young cadet forward, a new mystery came forward. Another Cavalier, with mostly brown fur. She was wearing some kind of skirt, and walked up to Jace to give her something. Honored Elder? There were so many questions swirling in his head right now, he started to feel overwhelmed by the amount of things flying through his mind. But the number one thing that was running through his head, as he approached the beast, Jace, and the pretty woman, was the one that dropped his jaw to the ground as his dichromatic eyes locked onto the animal resting on Jace as he came to kneel before them.

"What... is that??" he asked incredulously, looking over it's stripes and tail. He half wanted to reach out to touch the thing, but he wasn't sure if he was even allowed to. "Does it, have a name?" he asked inquisitively, inching closer and closer, eyes wide as he stared at the large creature.

Uriah Greyfire
Word Count ♞ ::
⟿ Word Count: [000]
⟿ Date: --
⟿ Time: 1pm
⟿ Form: Optime

The boys had slowly been settling into their new "home", their new routine, their new life. They were growing, their forms filling out with more muscle, their silvery white hair growing down to their shoulders now. Bes seemed to like his hair tied back away from his face, while Uriah tended to let his remain wild as he went about with his chores and training.

The more violent of the two twins had taken up combat practice with some of the other youths of Casa, though he never really felt welcome enough to talk to any of them thus far, he figured anyone was fair game for a practice fight. When the straight eared twin had first started training here, he would mostly fight with this grey brown wolf mix who was taller than the Greyfire's, but recently he'd been more or less absent from the training ring it seemed, and Uriah wasn't quite sure why.

... So yeah, that's why I came back so early, there was no one at the training grounds, maybe you'd want to...? He continued on in his conversation with his twin brother, but the boy seemed a bit absent as he petted Uri's probably midnight snack, so the reflection let the topic go and remained contented to sit there and watch the other male right up until Besekel seemed to snap back to life and tell the older twin that they needed to go investigate.

Uriah more or less lived in his own little world, the only one he focused on when his brother was around was his brother, and so the boy hadn't noticed the singing until Besekel was up and tugging on his brother's arm. Admittedly he was curious, and so he followed the boy, dusting off his dirt smudged jeans as he was pulled by the hand, though Uriah froze in bewilderment at the same moment that his reflection did, almost appearing in perfect unison.

There was some kind of giant orange and black panther sitting with it's head on their new guardian's lap, and she was singing to it? What in the... The silvery boy started, hesitating a bit, lagging behind his seemingly more inquisitive brother, but taking on a defensive aura, he'd jump between him and the beast if need be, mismatched eyes glancing up at the Knight girl as well, as she approached and refereed to Jace with some strange title that the twins were unfamiliar with.

Jace

ooc here

Aware of the world around her, Aldora's footsteps spoke through the air and Jace's ragged ears turned and her song fractured off into shards of silence. Ovidiu’s chuff of air had her open her eyes and sit up straighter, turning her grizzled head to watch the Daughter of Callum approach. The elder woman's demeanor stiffened at the honorific and she bit back the bitter retort. It was not Aldora's fault she was relegated to this shameful position; that she spoke it with such reverence filled the matriarch with deep sense of loss. To be old was a terrible thing indeed.

Before she could respond to Aldora's words and accept the gift, there was commotion from the two boys of Anathema she had taken in. Her head turned with violent speed as hands grasped about the Tiger's head protectively, shielding him with her flesh. The fur did bristle all about her hackles and the ruff of her neck, ears pulled back to her head; and for an instant the Greyfire twins would see what it might have been like to face the old woman as the warrior she had been, as the force she still was.

"This is Ovidiu and he is as intelligent as myself, afford him some respect, please." Him being referred to as an 'it' had set off every nerve in her body aflame. Slowly the fur began to resettle,

"Aldora - Besekel and Uriah Greyfire, they chose to come here after Anathema collapsed. Boys, Aldora Knight." Introductions complete Jace huffed out a breath, eyes flicking between the two sets of youngsters.

Aldora Knight

OOC || +3

Aldora saw the change of mood in Jace’s eyes as she greeted her; anger and sadness flashed all at once, but before the Elder could even speak, they were interrupted by the approach of Besekel and Uriah. Aldora knew the young men by name only, having never actually met them. It seemed those from Anathema had kept to themselves mostly, or at least, had not sought her out.

Jace became defensive, suddenly cradling Ovidiu’s huge head; the tiger tensed as well in response to his friend’s reaction, but when she spoke and relaxed so did he, turning to look at the two boys, "Good day." he said through thick accent. Aldora too, stood and nodded a greeting at the twins, Hello. She said. It was then that she realized she had never met twins before; the two were nearly identical, only with very few physical queues to set them apart.

Turning back to Jace, she watched as the elder took the cover off the basket to reveal its contents; inside, carefully wrapped parcels and jars. The jars contained blueberry jam, honey, a salve created by Morty for aching muscles, and the last contained sea salt. There was also a heart shaped bundle with goat cheese, as well as two larger boxes, one containing a good amount of dried fish, and the last, a beautiful sea-glass and silver bracelet, the last remaining of the larger jewelry pieces given to her by Abigail Sadira of the Court.

Aldora smiled warmly at her, I hope you enjoy it. You are very important to Casa, and to me. She knew that the proud wolf may be having a hard time adjusting to her new title, and aging body, but Aldora saw her no less strong than before. To Aldora, Jace would live for ever, in one way or another.

He wasn't quite sure at what point his brother had started wearing clothes like him when he saw Uriah's attire, but hey the look was good on him. He could feel his twin's confidence, going for just a plain shirt and jeans rather than layers like he himself had done. Though it wasn't as if either of the twins were really focused much on clothing, as both of the former Anathemans stood and gawked at the large feline. As he noted on his approach, this creature was far larger than any mountain lion he had seen, and admittedly more beautiful, but they shared similar traits.

Their caretaker had stopped singing to speak with the strange cavalier, but was quick to snap at the boy's careless tongue. Jace wrapped around the large beast, as if trying to make them laugh with the humorous notion that this beast needed to be protected against them. The lash of her words made Besekel fold back a bit, both in his ears and posture, forgetting his manners in the curiosity. "S-sorry, ma'am-" he started to apologize, embarrassed by his crass remarks when his jaw became practically unhinged as the tiger gave a rumbling greeting. He had known some other animals knew of high speech, but only knew of his mother's adopted fox Nuri, and enough birds to count on one hand that belonged to Anathema. Certainly, nothing like this had happened to him before.

"Y-y... you can talk?" Bes asked a bit bluntly, still clearly reeling from the revelation. Jace introduced the twins to Aldora, who stood up and greeted them politely, to which Bes gave her an awestruck look and absently nodded in reply, "Nice to meet you.." escaping his muzzle before sitting with his legs crossed in front of Ovidiu. "Sorry, for earlier, but... what are you?" Bes asked directly, not being able to focus on much else, certainly not the banter between Aldora and Jace. He was basically in a trance, studying the form of this new life he had never witnessed prior.

((Uri is a weird one, feel free to react however, light PP is fine as always~))

The tension in the air was suddenly thick as everyone's attention was brought to one another. The woman known as Jace bristled at the two boys, lips curling and fur standing on end as they made their appearance, and the boy dressed in plain dirtied fabrics found himself reacting. Silently, his eyes would grow wider as the whites around mismatched irises became visible, his own ears flicking back as the hair along his spine and tail ruffled outwards. He was a creature of instinct and strength, a wild animal at his core, as they had all been, at one point or another, if the stories that their father and mother had told them rang true, but he got the sense that Jace was just as much wild beast as he, only with a more lethal set of skills and notably far more world experience than he himself possessed. Being in her presence was humbling for the Greyfire, even if no one else around them could feel that same electricity that sparked from her, and whether or not they could, Uri did not know, but it didn't seem like it.

Fur settled back into place and eyes narrowed softly as introductions were spoken by the matriarch of the bunch. Uriah dipped his head slightly at the mention of his name, but stood upright swiftly once the moment passed, his eyes like needles as they took in the sights around him. The more curious of the pair seemed completely enraptured with the beast before them known as Ovidiu, so the older of the two suddenly felt the need to take it upon himself to greet the girl known as Aldora. He found himself approaching her, walking in a bit of a roundabout way and avoiding eye contact, how was it that he was supposed to introduce himself to people again? He didn't know if he'd ever actually done it, only had he stood there and watched as he was introduced by others. Something, however, in the back of his canine mind, told him what to do, and whether it was the proper thing to do or not, it was what he did. Reaching the girl, the silver male leaned in and sniffed her.

"Nice to meet you." He spoke after pulling back. That much at least he knew to say. She smelled sort of nice, like the pack in which they both lived, but with an undertone of something a bit- sweeter.
