Cross-Pack Wiki Game

Rules

1. Only participating packs may collect points:
IF, CdM, SL, CdC,
2. You absolutely must sign your Wiki updates with your Player name when you update a page. We cannot accept unsigned updates.
3. Your character's personal pages and adoptables are barred from collecting points.
4. Any questions? Reply here, please!

Minor Update (2 points)

Most updates consisting entirely of copying and pasting information (e.g., from a profile or a pack website) are Minor Updates.

• Reformatting pages to be in line with templates
• Any edit involving direct copypasta from a member's profile
• General maintenance (Adding categories or new links, updating links or typos, etc.)
• Any edit to "personal" pages (e.g., "your" Family or World Territory) no matter how substantial
• Adding links to new characters on the character pages, adding links to new players, etc.

Substantial Update (5 points)

A Substantial Update is just that -- of more substantial information, neglected areas, or unique content.

• Any edit to the Areas section, excluding World Territories
• Updating participating packs' Wiki pages: member directories, animal directories, storages, areas, etc.
• Unique content (i.e., not entirely copypasta from someone's profile or history) of a substantial amount (i.e., at least a paragraph) anywhere on the Wiki except for personal pages.
• Updating a Stubs article.
• Adding at least five events to the IC History.

Prize Submission

Make sure you include a total at the top.

• Use the following form or a Google spreadsheet with the relevant information.
• It is very important, again, for you to sign your updates.
• When submitting using this form, please enter your date exactly as it appears on the form below as this makes searching the page easier.
• All links to the Wiki page should point to the History tab (e.g., the Players page history tab) -- that's the page we check
• Submit ALL WIKI UPDATES to this thread and this thread alone -- they don't belong in your regular pack maintenance or elsewhere.
• Because these updates can be intense for us to check, we encourage submitting your updates in batches of 25 - 50 updates at a time.

   [*]Substantial (December 21, 2012): Families/Russo
I added the names of each boat belonging to the Russo family, along with a bit of information about them. I also expanded and added new information to the "Defining Features" section.
   [*]Minor (December 21, 2012): Characters/Marya Russo (08/01)
I added a link to this character's 'Souls profile, as it was missing.

Points and Prizes

• All collected Wiki points are directly exchangeable for game points. Post to your Pack Maintenance thread or PM a leader (whatever your pack's preference is) to move Wiki points over to a pack game.
• 250 Wiki points are exchangeable for a pixel wolf!
• 500 Wiki points are exchangeable for a table!
• 1000 Wiki points are exchangeable for art work!*
• Prize Contributors**: Marie, Tammi, Raze, Vida, Gen, Mel, Sunny

*The participating artists in question decide exactly what kind of art to make, but are generally chat poses, small forum avatars, etc. You shouldn't expect a three form reference sheet or four character, backgrounded image!

**You don't select which contributor fills your request -- whoever is the least busy nabs your request.

Point tallies

These are the point tallies for each pack. Click on the pack's name to show the point tallies!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What would creating a stub page (and copying over all details from the archive forum) for a character count as? Minor or Substantial?
• Minor, if it's a stub, and it's just copy/pasting - from the minor updates subhead, "Any edit involving direct copypasta from a member's profile".
2. Similarly, what would creating a player page count as (stub format; just listing all their inactive or active characters). Minor or Substantial?
• Again, minor - "Adding links to new characters on the character pages, adding links to new players, etc."
3. Say I do lots of updates to a pack page, do they count as one or per update. EG: Added Chickens, Re-arranged and updated horses, Removed inactive companion animals. Would that be one substantial update or three or what?
• This would count as one substantial update! "Updating participating packs' Wiki pages: member directories, animal directories, storages, areas, etc."
4. Does it matter which pack I submit points under?
• The points are listed under your primary character. The participating-packs thing is for collecting points under your primary, and updates and approvals of point submissions, and which packs count under the wiki updates!
5. Do we have to request a prize when submitting points, or can we just add the points to the total?
• People can just accumulate points, they don't have to exchange anything right away.
6. What would a bulk update to players/character list pages count as? Minor or Substantial?
• Minor - "General maintenance (Adding categories or new links, updating links or typos, etc.)" is under 'minor'.
7. Does the Cross-Pack Wiki Game have a time limit?
• No.
8. Do only pages relating to the involved packs count or the entire wiki?
• The entire wiki when not focusing on a certain pack, and when specific pack pages are edited, only the packs which are listed here count. (ex. Updating Player pages count, updating Character pages count, updating listed pack pages count, but updating packs' pages that aren't listed under "participating packs" do not count.)

so UM me & Marie did some AT wiki updates a couple weeks ago - would that count?

I'll post it here anyway, and if it doesn't - ignore :)

• Edit Type: AT Wiki (10/15/2013)
This is for all the ones listed below:
• Minor: Minor grammar/sentence structure edits to Culture
I fixed the grammar mistakes and overall sentence structure to make the categories flow better when being read.
• Minor: Minor grammar/sentence structure edits to Mateship
I fixed the grammar mistakes and overall sentence structure to make the categories flow better when being read.
• Minor: Minor grammar/sentence structure edits to Coming of Age
I fixed the grammar mistakes and overall sentence structure to make the categories flow better when being read.
• Minor: Removed Sangi'lak from Pack Relationships
Since Sangi'lak has disbanded, I removed it from pack relationships.
• Major: Pack NPCs category
I revamped the Pack NPCs category - it was just a list, but I added bullet points and a little bit about each character (as well as if they're open/adoptable or not)

Just as a note - you guys missed a
at the end of the form :)
