- Caprica D'Angelo - 05-17-2010
Dated May 18. A little rain had never hurt anyone, right? Although the black-furred Genus was no longer a puppy by any rights, there were still so many things that seemed brand new to her. She could not think of the first time she had walked about in the rain, although she knew that she must have before. Caprica had been born in late autumn, and it had rained, snowed, and haled in the winter of her childhood. All of Caprica's childhood memories featured her mother at the forefront. Her mother, the once Commander of the pack Crimson Dreams, had left to seek other family. Caprica couldn't do anything to stop her, and she wouldn't beg her to stay. But she still missed her mother terribly. Her absence left a hole that was hard to fill, and so the girl tried to distract herself. A trip to the beach didn't seem amiss, then. She had never done much wandering on her own, but now was as good a time as any. Forget the rain - her black coat was thick enough to keep her warm. Blinking rain drops from her gem-bright green eyes, the voluptuous femme picked her way through the rocky terrain. There was sparse grass and the waves roiled and thrashed against the sand agitatedly. The Genus didn't know what to make of it, but she decided that the change in scenery wasn't a bad thing, for now. - Godric - 05-17-2010
Godric huffed softly as he adjusted the backpack and moved along the rocky coast. He had no idea he was heading toward a pack land but he was not concerned about territory. What he was suddenly concerned about was the dark form of a wolf up ahead. His eyes narrowed as he focused on her. She was young, he could tell, and he continued to approach. Normally he would have overlooked her but as the days went on that he spent alone, he was more bitter about the fact he was exiled for something he could not control. To him, it had been petty and he thought there were more to it. He had never considered getting proof that nothing was wrong with him but as he watched her move, it all started to come into place.
He dropped the pack beside a large rock and reached around to jerk the bandanna off his arm and holding it in his other hand. Godric let his ears fall back upon his skull as he approached, lowering any sort of stance he might have in his two legged form and offering a high pitched coyote yip. "Can you help me?" he called to her, lifting the wet bandanna and making sure the gash on his arm was clearly visible. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-17-2010 Caprica thought it was chill enough to let her mind wander over inconsequential things. She missed her mother terribly, but she had to find things to occupy herself. She now held an adult ranking in her pack, Phoenix Valley, where she had been born. But she still did not feel as though she had achieved that sense of maturity and growth. She had certainly grown and was no longer a child, but she still felt childlike. She wrinkled her nose and rolled her eyes at herself. Hadn't she come here to get away from troubling thoughts? She'd figure it out later. Through the thick scent of brine and fresh rain, the Valley girl detected the scent of another. Her green eyes swiveled, belatedly, to behold a coyote approaching her. She blinked and took a small step back in surprise. She hadn't thought that she would be approached by someone else. She had come here to be alone with her thoughts for a while, but with an internal 'head desk' moment, she realized that her surprise was really foolish. She was currently in a neutral territory, and anyone had the right to walk around here, even walk right up to her. Caprica was taken aback when she saw the gash on his arm. She had never really encountered an sort of injury in her life. However, she had heard that her own mother had been quite a proficient healer. "Whoa, dawg," Caprica said, staring at it uncertainly. She didn't want to leave him here hurting though! She was just baffled that anyone would approach her for help - she hardly felt capable! "I'm not really sure how to do anything, yadidamean? But I can try. What can I do?" - Godric - 05-17-2010
"But I have to put a salve on it first and I couldn't apply it until I was able to put on the bandanna. All my stuff is in a cave a little ways up from here," he said and turned to look behind him. He was thankful the end of the mountain that met the ocean was not too far from where they were. "I ventured out to see if anyone was here to help me," he explained with a swift wave of his tail, letting the smile widen so he looked like a genuinely nice guy. It was not too difficult but it felt awkward on his features and it was not one he wanted to keep. Nonetheless, he was aiming for her trust and he waited patiently for her response and see if his bait was caught. "My name is Alex, by the way," he offered to make him less of a stranger. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-17-2010 Caprica's brow wrinkled as she wondered how she thought she could help him. She did not even know this guy, but he was obviously in need of some sort of assistance. She floundered as she thought of what she could do - caught between an internal instinct to shy away. Get a grip, girlfriend. Caprica thought to herself, and she nodded when he demonstrated the need that she could fulfill for him. It seemed like a simple enough thing. And eying the ugly gash across his arm, she didn't doubt that it hurt. He smiled and some of her internal debate lessened. He didn't seem like too bad of a guy. Plus Caprica reasoned that she needed to learn to think for herself. She was no longer her mother's daughter, too young to choose her own actions. Plus, what could the consequences of this interlude be? He introduced himself as Alex - and he seemed obviously hurt. It was an obvious situation, a no-brainer. "I'm Caprica D'Angelo," Caprica said with a small, uncertain smile. This was the first time she was talking to someone who was not in her family or pack, and she felt unexplainably shy for whatever reason. And that was so not her. The girl rolled her shoulders and took a confident step in the way he had indicated. "Let's get ya taken care of, g." - Godric - 05-17-2010
"I appreciate this," he commented as they walked and he stopped where he dropped his backpack, picking it up carefully. He stayed quiet for the majority of the walk and it gave him enough time to scope out the lands they were walking in. His golden eyes lifted to the sky and blinking out the rain.
Before long, the base of the mountain met the shore and it was not too far from that point that an opening to a small cave led. Godric lifted his good arm and pointed. "I've been staying there," he told her, dropping his arm and headed in that direction. Godric set his bag on the outside of the cave entrance. "My herbs are in the cave against the right wall. I keep them out of the open so the sun does not dry them out. Some herbs lose their power when dried," he told her to show he knew what he was talking about. Of course, there were no herbs in there. "Do you think you could get them so I can get the bowl and a stick in order to crush them?" he asked and knelt down carefully, playing with the latch of his backpack but he did not open it with her in front of him. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-18-2010 He became increasingly more friendly and approachable. Although this time now she was certain that he was also becoming increasingly more and more uncomfortable. She frowned slightly but took his silence as a cue that he did not want to talk. She supposed that being hurt would probably have that effect on someone. She was silently grateful that she had never been hurt like that. In fact, she could not even recall ever being hurt in her entire life. Her heart sank into her stomach as she wondered if something like this could happen to one of her siblings - she loved them more than anyone. She entered the cave, standing just in the mouth of it, green eyes looking around and drinking everything in. She had never really been in a cave before and it was kind of fascinating. Alex said that he had been living here for a while. "I ain't never been in a cave," the girl said, looking around wide-eyed. Caprica had spent most of her young life within man made structures. Her mother had birthed she and her siblings within the cabin they had lived in up until a few weeks ago. Now she was staying with her aunt, wanting to be as close to her remaining family as possible. She meandered into the cave, still taking a bit of time to look around. Then she shook her head and hurried to the wall that Alex had indicated. "Where did you say they were?" There wasn't much light coming into the cave, due to the rain. And Caprica could not smell the sharp scent of herbs in the damp air. "How did you say you got hurt again?" she intoned, turning with her eyes narrowed. Something here was funny. - Godric - 05-18-2010 Power play with permission. :0!
"Check a little further back, the wind could have moved them," he commented as he stood, pushing aside the bag. "But I was attacked a few days ago by a wolf on the other side of the mountain. I had killed a rabbit to eat and he wanted it," he said, though the whole story was a lie. Godric had been the one to attack the male but he had to be pitiful for the full effect. He was a coyote, compared to a wolf, and he was glad the girl he was with was young and inexperienced, yet to reach her full strength. "Did you find them?" he questioned innocently as he looped the rope around his fingers and entered the gaze.
Her dark body was barely illuminated. His smile faded and anything nice about his demeanor was suddenly gone. His lips pulled back in a sneer as he moved forward and without waiting for an answer or any sort of action, he jumped in her direction. He had an advantage being on two legs, having the use of his arms and hands to better control her. When he landed upon her, he forced her to the ground. His goal with the rope was not quite used, he had to get her into his full control before he did anything. He scrambled with his arms and put all of his weight upon her, his hands trying to grab her limbs in order to keep her on the ground. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-18-2010 Caprica yelped at the impact of his body. She was stunned and immediately driven to the ground. Despite her larger size, she was still young enough and inexperienced enough to be taken by surprise by the coyote male. She shook her head wildly from side to side as she tried to see him and figure out why he had thrown himself on top of her. "What the HELL, Alex?" she wheezed loudly as she tried to buck him off of her. As her struggles became more and more punctuated, his intent became clearer to her. She realized that he was trying to pin her to the ground. Her dark green eyes were wide with shock and she twisted her body beneath him in a frantic effort to loosen his hold. But he had hold of her legs and she was pinned to the ground, unable to gain any leverage to use. The Genus had no idea what this was all about, or what he wanted. This made no sense at all! How could he move so quickly? Wasn't he hurt!? - Godric - 05-18-2010
The more she struggled, the more excited he got and when he withdrew from his attempted bites, he released his weaker arm that help the rope, using his stronger arm to hold her two front legs together as best he could. Her movements made it difficult for Godric to hold her still but he was confident in his strength and training to overpower an enemy and it had not been his first try. He was swift when she bucked, able to work around it, and he laced the rope quickly around, pulling it together and making several knots and binding her front legs together. Even if he were to get up, she would not be able to get far. Her balance was lost with the way her front limbs were positioned and she would easily fall on her face.
He growled again through his struggles, enforcing that he meant business. "If you don't hold still, you'll hurt yourself worse," he commented but his words were laced with danger. Even if she did not struggle, he still wanted to hurt her. He had weeks of pent up anger from his former home, from being exiled because he could not reproduce the males the pack had wanted. He did not get another chance back then and now he had found it and when he did have the strong male in his grasps, he would take both him and the bitch straight back to prove it. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-18-2010 Caprica felt the inky black edges of anger permeate the sense of helplessness that made all her efforts seem flimsy. She continued to wriggle and contort herself in an effort to loosen his hold, although she was not seeing much success. He must have been planning this from the first, she realized. All at once, his tone of voice had changed and his actions no longer seemed strange. She doubted that his name was really Alex; he had lied to her about his intentions after all, why not his name as well? His teeth snapped at her neck and she froze, stunned for a moment. Caprica had not expected for there to be so much physical violence involved in anything she would experience. But it appeared that her expectations were wildly different than the reality she now faced. Shaking off those thoughts, she renewed her struggles with a fierce rumbling deep in her throat that spilled out of her mouth. Her teeth were bared and her green eyes glinted darkly. His words were threatening as he warned her that she would only hurt herself with her struggles. The acrid smell of old blood was lacing the air, smelling distinctly of coyote. His blood? She was ill with the thought and then he looped the rope around her front legs. She was exhausted from bucking and struggling and so she quieted for a moment, chest heaving with her efforts. "What does your punkass want with me?" she spat. She was afraid, but she was pissed. - Godric - 05-18-2010
His lips were pulled back as she stared at him and spoke and his golden eyes narrowed bitterly. "Shut up," he repeated. He did not have to answer her questions and he looked over her, unable to decide the nature of her attitude. The female coyotes back home rarely acted out and accepted what the males wanted; it was a way of life. Their main purpose was to carry real coyotes. Perhaps it was because she a wolf or had no proper training in the right way of life. He had not yet let go of her limbs, trying to decide if he should loop her back legs up with the extra that was left over but it would not hold much more, but she did not have to know that. "Just focus on keeping your life," he threatened again, letting her limbs loose and his seat upon her was relieved, slowly pushing back but he kept both hands on her side.
After this point, he had not figured out what he wanted to do and he watched her. "Don't move," he sneered and picked himself up to stand and look down on her weak body. She was not entirely vulnerable or helpless with her back legs but if she decided to get away or break her bonds he would be fast enough to stop her. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-18-2010 The struggle had ended, but only for now. Caprica remained inert where he had pounced upon her. Her green eyes were narrowed in the darkness. There wasn't much that she could do at the moment. She needed to have a plan. She silently promised herself as her heart stopped thundering from her struggles that she would continue to fight for her freedom. No one had the right to cage her this way. No one had the right to take away her freedom to choose for herself. But terror was also a close companion to her bravery. This was the first time she had really ventured outside of her home territory. Phoenix Valley seemed like a far away haven now. When she had headed out seeking some respite from her thoughts that were crowded with loneliness and emptiness, she had thought that being at home had been hurting more than helping her forget the absence of her mother. What she wouldn't give to be home now... Caprica glared at him sullenly and stored her energy. He was quite right; she needed to keep her wits about her and keep all her focus on her primary objective. She would escape, one way or another. She would devise a plan, do something, whatever it took. She noticed that he was favoring one arm over the other and her instincts and adrenaline flooded her. Perhaps she would be able to injure him and make for the exit. She might be bound, but she was still mobile. She lunged forward with the only surge of momentum she would be able to manage with balance and snapped her teeth viciously toward his injured side, able to bring his leg into reach. - Godric - 05-19-2010
He pushed as hard as he could to hurt her before he bent slightly with a curled fist that aimed for his head. If he jerked away to do more damage, the skin of his leg would rip more and he was already aggravated with the amount of blood she caused. "I warned you," he growled, drawing back from the first punch to offer another one, this time toward her chest to knock the breath out of her, assisting in getting his leg out of her jaws. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-19-2010 It was a rush. Suddenly her vision seemed crystalline despite the darkness. She made contact with his shin and she buried her stark white teeth into his flesh. She tasted his blood in her mouth. The salty, copper flavor gave her a sense of vindication. It was an instinctive thing for her. It gave her a sense that, at least for a moment, she had turned the tables. She was not prey; she was a predator. She had not lost that part of herself. Caprica's fear screamed in her ears even as her short-lived victory curled through her, giving her a grim sense of satisfaction. Alex - or whoever the hell he was - reacted quickly. Pain didn't seem to cloud his judgement for long. Her gemlike eyes widened as he locked his leg. She gagged on a lack of air and wildly tried to remind herself that she could breathe through her nose. But in a moment of panic she could not make herself breathe. Her heart pounded in her ears and her lungs ached as pain assailed her locked jaw. After several long seconds of struggle, she withdrew, gasping for breath and letting out a choked sound. Caprica yiped as his fist connected. A small sunburst of pain inspired dots danced in her vision and she backed up reflexively. But his fist landed on her again. As she scrambled away, she lost balance and landed heavily on her side. It drove the wind out of her and she coughed hard, still not having recovered her breath. She had never, ever been hit in her short life. The young woman's eyes danced about wildly before focusing on her attacker once more. - Godric - 05-19-2010
"I told you, you stupid bitch," he spat and shuffled back a few steps to put distance between them. Should she lunge again, she would not have time before he reacted and when she remained still for a moment, he turned his back on her. He did not act slowly and moved away from her with as much speed as he could to grab his backpack. He jerked it inside as well as the bandanna he dropped and put it down on the cave floor. He opened the sack again and rummaged through it and withdrawing another slip of rope, but it was not nearly as long as the other, perhaps two feet and not enough for what he wanted.
Godric examined his bag for a moment and brought the strap to his teeth and ripped with all his force. When the fabric tore, he used his hand to break it off and doing the same on the other side. Putting the tattered bag on the ground, he moved toward her again with ill intent. This time, she would become immobile and he would put a stop to all her struggles. With the strap of the backpack in one hand he approached her and with a fast reflex, attempted to mount her as he did before in order to hold her still, reaching down to help prevent any sort of movement from her head. - Caprica D'Angelo - 05-21-2010 "Fo shizzle mah nizzle," Caprica spat, ill at ease with the situation. She hurt from where his fists had fallen. Also, she felt some of her own blood drying into her dark fur from his previous attacks. She hated the situation she was in. How in the hell was she going to get out of this one? For the moment, she was down and did not think it would be a good idea to get up again. He had showed her that he was not in the mood to be merciful. What did he have planned? With her mouth set in a grim line, she stubbornly looked away from his gaze. He might have the upper hand right now, but she would not give him the satisfaction of her obedience. Cooperation for the moment, yes, but only to spare herself from further harm. She had to converse her energy, strength, and wits if she was going to come out of this more or less unscathed. Tamping down on the terrified emotions that threatened to scatter her thoughts, she listened rather than looked at him. He was obviously trying to find another way to secure her. When he mounted her, she struggled once more. Caprica knew that the more mobility she lost, the worst her chances. However, he had her pinned on her belly and there was little that she could do. Then she saw a very slim opportunity. She realized that she probably would be hurt again for this, but she didn't care. She rolled sharply underneath him and found herself on her back. Then, baring her teeth, her neck shot up so that she could score blood and flesh. - Godric - 05-31-2010
He felt blood form on his arm and he gritted his teeth, having not anticipated his own wounds to this degree. Why couldn't she listen to him? She was going to hurt herself even more if she struggled and it did not matter apparently. "You're going to be dead when I'm through with you," he spat angrily. Though it was not true, he needed her to carry back to his former pack. He put all the pressure into her throat around her grip so he could get her to let go so he could finish his work. - Caprica D'Angelo - 06-04-2010
End here and start another with a more recent date? PM me and let me know ^^
If "Alex" or whoever he was had wanted to kill her, he could have had her dead instantly. There was something else he wanted from the young Valley wolfess. And while she could not fathom whatever that was, she was secure in the small bit of knowledge she had secured. His blood ran red as hers, as red as the rabbit she had hunted earlier this morning. And if he could bleed, he could die. And if there was a way to injure him more or to kill him, she would find it. For now she would play this game, and come out alive. .Caprica-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#3d535e; letter-spacing:1px; } .Caprica-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .Caprica-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .Caprica-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:350px; background-color:#132020; background-image:url(http://xs.to/image-8F29_4BF47F03.jpg); background-position:bottom center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #000000; padding: 10px 0px 235px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#c9cfdf; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Godric - 06-10-2010
There were more damage he wanted to do but he needed to wait. He needed to clean himself up but he waited to see her reaction before he left into the woods out of the cave. |
