- Belle - 06-25-2010 The small wolf cocked her head in an absurd manor, and she Yawned. Something was different. She pulled herself upwards with ease- and sat on the bed, looking at her surroundings- sampling them. Everything looked the same as it had been for the past month. Calm. Peaceful. Then the thought came to her- and she knew what was different. She no longer felt the continual pain of aching bones and sore wounds, and she felt... happy. She stretched, white fur escaping- reaching for the air- before it fell down by her side again- in thick tendrils. The shadow of doubt in her mind had long since been pushed away. There was nothing to be afraid of. She was free. Cambria had healed her physical bodice with her amazing talent- and Savina had healed her inside- the most delicate part of her. She had only met two in the pack- and she knew that the others would be just as nice. She jumped of the bed- her agility suprised herself- how long had it been since she had been able to do that? It seemed like an age. She was wobbly on her feet- like a newborn elk- her legs were not used to walking- and she found they kept falling from beneath her. She managed to get to the door- and pushed it open with her black nose. The pup peered this way and that- to find nobody was there. And then she was off- sliding down the stairs like some kind of crazy maniac- slipping and sliding yet howling with glee. She rushed to the front door like a prisoner escaping from thier cell- and she ripped it open with her teeth with such force that the door rebounded on her- sending her flying out into the open air. She never knew it could hurt so much- the sun. It almost blinded her- and she had to squeeze her lids shut tightley. She gasped- and spoke; almost to herself- 'I thought the Sun was my friend!' She managed to blink a couple of times- and gradually- her ruby-red eyes grew more accumstomed to the light. Belle was very glad that the world had not changed since she was gone. This wolfess lived to run- it was her refuge- her happiness. How she loved running... the freedom-feeling it gave her as she rushed through the air- It was undescribable. Her paws started bounding- her body lifting and swaying rythmitacly with the movement of her feet. She had not run for what seemed like a lifetime- and she was anxious to be off. She galloped like a horse- jumping and twisting in the breeze- drinking in the sunlight, the air. The summer flowers and trees rustled as she winded her way around them- she wouldn't dare hurt them. The wildlife of summer blossemed all around her- and then she realised. Summer. She had not realised what the season was- as she was cooped up in that room for a month, but then again- she had not had the chance to be outside. Belle was now a year old. It hadn't been the best of times for her- but atleast she been able to survive this long. She came to a halt- and gave a medolic-like howl. She had found her place in the world, and she was here to stay. 500+ - Kansas Sadira - 07-05-2010
Yay, finally! I like Belle. 300+
He was just returning from his border duty, which usually took up a good portion of his mornings when he actually carried it out as he was supposed to. His patrols were meticulous and thorough — not because he wished to root out troublemakers, but so that he could perfect his mental map of Crimson Dreams. In two years of living here he still did not know his home as well has he wished to. He attributed this to the amount of time he spent sitting in one place and thinking, or certainly the many hours he spent with his family. A wolf should know his home, should he not? The sun blazed above with overwhelming power. He could feel the orb's heat through his fur, right down to his very skin. As he neared Haven Manor, his tongue fell from between his lips and lolled as he sought relief from the heat. He'd been in a constant state of motion all morning, therefore his body was quite warmed, uncomfortably so. The white wolf's footsteps slowed, becoming less purposeful, for he thought that his job was done. A startling howl destroyed the silence of the summer day. Turquoise eyes were met by a sight in the near distance: a smaller, pale-furred canine dancing through the wind like a strange snowflake in the midst of summer. Instinctively, the Sadira's hackles rose, creating a ridge along the curve of his spine: he had never seen this wolf before. More alarmingly, they were only a few hundred yards away from the Manor, much too close for a potential trespasser to come. Kansas did not really want to deal with intruders (though he'd spent all morning "supposedly" looking for them), but he had no choice. He had to investigate. Shoulders rolled into a sigh and the Colonel sped up again, barking sharply to the unknown young woman to inform her that she had been spotted. When he was close enough to smell her properly, however, his caution disappeared completely. She smelled strongly of Cambria, and Savina. His anxious face transformed into a smile. This girl was little more than a member he hadn't met yet. Feeling foolish, Kansas wagged his tail once to make up for his slight hostility (although, his said hostility had been quite mild, for he was always a mild man). I like Kansas too :3
A sharp bark caught her attention, and the small wolf changed course, trying her best to track the maker of the noise. Soon enough she was greeted by a wag of a tail, and her head tilted, ears flicking back. She wondered what had made the male bark- yet she soon had that question answered, for she circled him, taking in his scent, and realised he was a member of the pack, and had obviously just been protecting his territory. She also got the message that he was mated to Savina.
The girl sat on her haunches, small nose wrinkling as she took in the cool air, her features crumpling into a friendly smile. Resting herself in a more comfertable position, the adolesent spoke again. .character-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:# 9d3fc9; letter-spacing:1px; } .character-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .character-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .character-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:427px; background-color:# 9694ba; background-image:url(http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/5998/souls11.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px double #000000; padding: 300px 0px 3px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:# 4f1e66; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Kansas Sadira - 07-17-2010
Kansas worried about spooking the young woman. Luckily, could explain his territorial outburst to himself, at the very least: his mind was off in some other world as usual, preventing him from thinking properly before he acted. He wouldn't have to explain this to her, however, for the young woman did not seem opposed to him. Perhaps she understood. Regardless, there was a distinct brightness in her crimson eyes that put the pale-furred wolf at ease again. He grinned broadly, seating himself serenely against the ground. His dark nose quivered curiously towards the stranger in an attempt to gather more information about her. He found nothing recognizable but the scents of his mate and daughter. Perhaps the girl had come from a distance. Again, his silky tail waved once or twice behind him as he introduced himself. Kansas. And... who're you? His voice was pleasant, blue eyes harmlessly examining the pup now that he could get a proper look. He had never seen eyes so red and fur so white before; she was quite unique. Her attitude seemed very pleasant, as well. The Sadira could see why his mate had accepted her in their pack. You haven't been here long, have you? Living in Crimson Dreams, I mean. .kansasgifty01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#b9c5d6; letter-spacing:1px; } .kansasgifty01-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#243a56; text-align:center;} .kansasgifty01 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 12px; margin:0px;} .kansasgifty01 {margin:0 auto; width:340px; background-color:#5074a6; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... s001-1.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #ffffff; padding: 230px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#243a56; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify;} .kansasgifty01-border1 {width:342px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto;} .kansasgifty01-line1 {width:300px; border-bottom:1px solid #496a98; margin:0 auto 8px auto;} </style>
- Belle - 08-15-2010
So sorry for the wait. I'm a bad person. ):
She was but a child. If one was too look closely enough, they would see the hidden depth that lay beneath her personality, and the memories that lay within her sharp mind. But alas- she had never let anyone in that close. She was verging on the edge of puppy-hood, still unsure of herself in every way possible. It seemed strange that her whole life had changed in such a short period of time, and she was still unused to being treated so nicely. She meant to explore her new home as much as she could, but Belle was not one too rush into things, and it seemed she had only just settled down in this new, dream-like place. More than likely her new life would be whisked away once more with the wind, never to be seen again.
Such innocence lay behind her flaming eyes, and every day it overwhelmed her how brighter they began to grow- the once burnt-out little lenses had grown into mesmerizing scarlet orbs. A soft breath of air blew out of her puckered mouth, blowing the fur around her maw into a soft frenzy of delicate strings. An onyx nose twitched slightly, before Belle came back to reality. She had been wallowing in thoughts of such horror- remembering the things that used to happen. It all seemed like a horrible nightmare now, though Belle knew better than to belive that. She began to do a funny, energetic, dance around him. She hoped he would not mind- it was just one of her little habits. She never sat still for long. Her pillar-like legs were not at all stubby- which was surprising, for she had a very small frame- they were long and elegant, like her mothers, and sculpted for one reason only. .character-a01 b {font-weight:bold; color:# 9d3fc9; letter-spacing:1px; } .character-a01 .ooc { font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px;} .character-a01 p {text-indent:25px; padding:5px 10px; margin:0px;} .character-a01 {margin:0 auto; width:427px; background-color:# 9694ba; background-image:url(http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/5998/souls11.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:2px double #000000; padding: 300px 0px 3px 0px; font-family: georgia, sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:# 4f1e66; line-height:16px; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:justify;} </style>
- Kansas Sadira - 08-20-2010
sorry about the crap!
He was puzzled by the dazed expression that took over her youthful features, thoughts swirling undoubtedly behind those liquid scarlet eyes. She reminded him of Enya, being the second young woman he'd encountered recently who had wandered into Crimson Dreams seeking refuge. At the same time, Belle was very different. Her air seemed more positive and open, carefree as a child's mindset should be. Of course, he knew that she probably had experienced trials of her own; why else would she be here before him? A soft breeze began to blow around the snowy wolves. Kansas felt his body cooled as the chill air penetrated his fur, a calming effect. He was growing more and more content, strangely comfortable in the young woman's presence. He nodded twice in acknowledgement of her words, but before he could answer, she was upon her feet and dancing around him. He felt her energy, his silken plume rising and wagging in appreciation of her glee. Unfortunately, Kansas was not ready to play with her, too shy to join in. He reserved such frivolity for his mate and pups. Instead he sat still, ears swirling to the sound of her feet thudding the grass in her dance. She had paused and sat before him again when at last Kansas spoke in his gravelly, bass tones. I hope... I hope you like it here. We're glad to have you... he trailed, his words sounding too general and almost meaningless, but perhaps she hadn't perceived them that way. He was quite a worry wart. Where did you come from? he finally continued, ears flickering forward to capture her answer. .kansasgifty01 b {font-weight:bold; color:#b9c5d6; letter-spacing:1px; } .kansasgifty01-ooc {font-style:italic; padding:0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#243a56; text-align:center;} .kansasgifty01 p {text-indent:0px; padding:5px 12px; margin:0px;} .kansasgifty01 {margin:0 auto; width:340px; background-color:#5074a6; background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/ ... s001-1.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:1px solid #ffffff; padding: 230px 0px 5px 0px; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#243a56; letter-spacing:.3px; word-spacing:.8px; line-height:12px; text-align:justify;} .kansasgifty01-border1 {width:342px; border:1px solid #000000; margin:0 auto;} .kansasgifty01-line1 {width:300px; border-bottom:1px solid #496a98; margin:0 auto 8px auto;} </style>
|
