ooc: here we go~ xeris is in lupus form. Xeris was still on the move. She hadn't spent the night in her cabin last night, instead choosing to rest under the cover of the forest. What possessed her to do this, she didn't know. Perhaps she was hoping to stumble upon Delwyn somewhere in her wanderings. But she hadn't, that was for sure. And so she continued to wander, much like she had when she first came to Phoenix Valley. The white-furred wolfess was no stranger to this, though she was admittedly smarter about it than she had been a year ago; the scars on her body taught her this lesson. So she headed north from the coast for a while before realizing that if she went too much further she would end up at the Hill of Graves. This was not a place Xeris frequented often, as it smelled of decay and death and reminded her of the same things. This was not a time for those thoughts to be in her head. Thus, under the morning sun, she began to head further east, in the direction of her cabin. Maybe, just maybe, her rambunctious son would be waiting for her at home when she got there. Not to mention that Carwyn, Xion and Pendzez would be worried as well. Xeris sighed quietly as she continued on, staring blankly at the sunrise on the horizon. - Aquilina - 08-04-2010 [html]

Xtable.png); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat;"> It was then that Xeris realized how tired she was. Though it had been a regular occurrence for her in the past, she hadn't been getting up this early in a long time. She hadn't slept well last night, either. The white wolfess decided that maybe she would lay down and rest for a while. She had not strayed far from the wooded area in which she slept the previous night, so she could seek shelter within the trees. Her tired paws led her closer to the forest almost mechanically. She was so tired that she was seeing things. There was someone lying on the ground here already, it had to be a hallucination. But then the unknown pup spoke, and Xeris realized that her eyes were not playing tricks on her. Curious, she looked over at the young wolfess, seeing that she was not much younger than Xeris' own children. She couldn't help but smile. "Hello," she responded softly. Her golden eyes scanned the girl. Xeris definitely had not seen her anywhere before, but she did not smell of any other pack. It had been a very long time since anyone new had come to the Valley. A new face was always a refreshing sight. "What are you doing all alone out here?" Her voice broke slightly as she spoke upon the realization that maybe this was another outgoing and adventurous pup like her missing son. Could Delwyn be out there somewhere, found by some other strange wolf? Xeris shook these thoughts out of her mind for now and concentrated on finding out more about this child. |
